Chapter 19: "For the love of a cat-woman"
Her ears perked up immediately as she heard the almost silent footsteps walking towards the room. She slowly pulled herself away from the still out man next to her and got into a defensive crouch. The footsteps stopped in the entry way leading to the control room. "Who's there," growled Nasha quietly. Her answer came in the form of a bullet as it flew towards her head, but harmlessly hit the wall as Nasha evaded and lunged for the shadowed being. She lunged at the darkly clothed woman and her claws were only an inch away from her face when Nasha fell pinned to the ground.
The woman stood over her laughing. "Kitty wants to play?" With that Nasha felt a steel tipped boot in her side. She doubled over as much as she could in pain lying there like a new born kitten. "Cuff her." Three other forms slowly stepped out of the shadows. Two of them came over her and grabbed onto her wrists pinning them behind her back. Before they could slap the cuffs over her wrists she bolted and was able to get a hold of the woman's hand and crush it, hearing a resounding crunching as she broke nearly every bone in the woman's hand. The woman screamed in pain and Nasha turned to go after the others when she heard a yell from the computer consol.
She turned and felt her heart jump into her throat as she looked over and saw a huge red spinney being gripping Taski by the throat and dangling his body in the air. She sat there watching him struggle as the two others inched their way forward with the cuffs. They were within range of grabbing her when she made a lunge for the purple being. He lifted his hand and swung it at her back-handing her against the wall. She turned and was ready to make another lunge when the woman spoke again.
"Give it up or I'll have Yamu here kill your little boyfriend." It was then that Nasha finally noticed they were both barely clothed in ripped remains of what they were wearing. But she shrugged it off and looked from the woman to the purple guy. She sighed and put her hands behind her back. They quickly cuffed her and the woman also decided to back hand her before giving the big guy the signal to put Taski down. She looked on worried as he didn't move. And felt relief wash over her as he finally struggled to a sitting position, in which they also quickly cuffed him.
"Taski." He looked up at her round blue orbs as she fought back tears and yelled when he saw the woman behind her bring out a big metal rod and hit Nasha in the back of the head knocking her unconscious.
"You bitch," he screamed and was also swiftly ht with the rod to join Nasha in the land of darkness.
At the training arena a while later
She was rudely awakened by a jab in the side by one of the shorter men who had cuffed her earlier. She felt so weak she could let out only a whisper as she hung helplessly from a post. Her body felt heavy and weak, she had only had this experience a few other times in her life, after giving birth to her kittens. She moved her head as much as she could to get her bearings.
'The Fighting Arena? What am I doing here? Taski!' She quickly turned her head to her left and felt a jarring pain in her neck, but she found what she was looking for as she saw his limp body in the same manner as hers. He turned his head towards her as best he could and they stared at each other in silence taking comfort in the fact that both were still alive. It was then that it started.
Pan walked into the arena and Nasha saw the shocked look upon her face as Pan stared at the two of them and then at Mardol. Nasha gasped as well not knowing who the cloaked figure was until now. She could only vaguely make out a bit of the conversation. 'So now I'm being used to hurt my friend huh? Life sucks.' But it was when Mardol started laughing that she heard the worst of it.
"Bring her to my chambers and tie her down and sedate her well," said the king and walked off as if he had asked for nothing more then a glass of warm milk. 'What?!' She looked helplessly as Pan was taken away and let a few tears escape. Then turned to look at Taski desperate for some help, some sign. But he just hung there looking like someone had just died. 'Someone might,' thought Nasha as she felt her limp body being pulled from the stake and dragged towards the castle.
'To think just yesterday I was cleaning that place, now I will die there. And after I had finally found someone who I…who I think I love.' She turned her head with the bit of strength she had to once again stare at Taski until the castle doors shut incasing her in her tomb. 'God I just hope I pass out.'
They quickly ascended the stairs and made it to the master bedroom; she smiled and let another tear drip down her cheek as she looked at the mint Pan had placed on her pillow. They quickly threw back the covers and threw her naked body on the bed, on Nasha's back and tied her arms and legs to the bed posts.
"Think we should sedate her," asked one of the men.
"Nah, she looks like she may pass out any second. I know the king probably wanted her quiet, but I don't think he wanted a corpse." The two men chuckled cruelly and left the room leaving her to her fate. The king quickly entered the room and discarded his cloths walking to the bed. He crawled over her and quickly thrust into her sending a stabbing pain into her from the friction of her dryness. She let the tears come freely now as the pain seeped deep inside of her.
The king pulled back ready to thrust again when he pulled out and jumped out of the bed. Nasha looked up through her tears and saw the form of Taski standing in the doorway with a sword in his hands. The same sword that one of the men that had kidnapped them had.
"Get the hell away from her," Taski said in a menacing voice. The king walked over to his discarded cloths and pulled his own sword from the sheath. The king struck forward but made a clashing sound as Taski's sword held his at bay. Taski shoved the king back and took a swing at him from the right that the king dogged easily and made a swipe of his own that Taski just nearly blocked with his own. But this time the king pushed him back and made a quick swipe slashing his side. Taski grabbed his side and held his sword ready for the next attack, when he saw it. The king raised the sword above his head ready to bring it down on Taski's head thinking he wouldn't recover in time. But Taski saw it; he saw the opening and went for it. He plunged his sword into the king's right side and the king fell back against the floor. Taski grabbed the sword and forcefully pulled it out of the king's body as the king screamed in pain.
He turned from the king and used the sword on the bindings that held Nasha to the bed and took her hand helping her into a sitting position. "Are you all right?" She gave a slight nod and looked up into his soft green eyes and leaned forward kissing him softly. She felt something weird and pulled back quickly and saw the king behind Taski with the sword raised above his head again. Nasha quickly pushed Taski out of the way as the king came down and staved her right shoulder. Nasha didn't feel the pain as she continued forward driving the sword in deeper and she swung with her left arm and swung at the king's head connecting and sending him sprawling on the floor out cold. She turned to Taski and got slowly to her feet and helped him up.
"Let's get the hell out of here," she said and they both made their way out of the castle.
Back at Pan and Nasha's crashed ship
It had taken them nearly four hours in their condition and it was getting late as the two dragged their bodies to the space craft located in the middle of the forest. It had just come into sight when Nasha dragged them both into the underbrush. "What's wrong," asked Taski but was cut off as Nasha put a finger to his lips and stared tensely at the ship in front of them.
"Someone's in there." She tensed up immediately and looked ready to try a surprise attack.
"Hold on. I know that people are looking for you, but my boss and her friends from Earth are supposed to be on their way. It could be them." She sat there debating for a second.
"We can't take any chances. No one really knows about you so if you go and take a pea and find it's someone you don't know you can sneak back out and if you're caught say you were looking for your…ummm…girlfriend out in the woods with you." She blushed profusely as she said the last part of the sentence at what she was implying two naked people would be doing out in the woods.
"Ok stay put." He crouched and started making his way through the bushes but quickly turned back.
"What's-," Nasha started but was cut off with a kiss.
"Stay put." With that he snuck up to the ship feeling very vulnerable in his naked state. He snuck aboard and quietly made his way to the computer room where he gasped as he saw two lizard men. Something was wrong though, he snuck behind a consol and took a closer look and noticed 'They're knocked out cold.'
"Freeze," came a strong voice from behind him. "Get to your feet and put your hands above your head." He did as he said and tried to turn to look at his captor but was abruptly smacked for it before he could get a look. "What did you do with them?"
"What did I do with them? You mean Nasha and her friend?"
He was hit in the head again. "Don't play dumb, where's Pan!"
"If that is Nasha's friend she was taken away by some freaky gecko cyborg thing about four hours ago."
"You bastard, you'll pay for that."
"But I didn't do it! I was sent by my boss Leon."
"Liar!" He felt another hit to his head and fell to the ground. He turned to see a purple-haired man looking very enraged standing over him with a glowing ball in his palm aimed right at him. 'At least Nasha didn't come with me," he thought.
"Trunks stop," came a deep voice that Taski recognized right away and felt his spirits sour with every word that came from them. "That's my man Taski." He walked over to Taski and helped him into a chair.
"Sorry," grumbled Trunks. They both stared at his nude form.
"What did they do to you my boy?" He blushed profusely remembering how he and Nasha had become acquainted. "They did what! Those bastards!"
"No no no!!" Taski waved his hands in defiance. "They didn't do it, Nasha did!"
"Nasha? Who's this Nasha you're talking about," asked Trunks remembering him talk about her before.
"I'm not even sure. Maybe you'd better ask her. She's waiting outside."
"Already found her," came a cheery voice from a blue haired angel who graced the room with her presence and helped Nasha into the room.
"You two look a little roughed up, hey Trunks why don't you let them split a senzu," said Bra. Trunks grumbled and was promptly smacked upside the head and split a small hard bean in his hands and gave each a half. They both looked at their halves and looked uncertain. "It's ok, they help you heal faster." Taski looked to Leon who nodded and popped the bean in his mouth and made an almost full recovery. Nasha observed this and did the same with even better results. Bra had left the room and came back with some sweat pants and T-shirts. "Here, maybe you won't feel so awkward now." They both nodded graciously and quickly put them on feeling a lot more comfortable. Trunks was getting impatient.
"So who the fuck are you and where is Pan," Trunks screamed. Ok so Trunks was a lot more then impatient, he was down right nasty.
Nasha yelled something about very rude humans, but calmed down and told her story. Told about who Mardol was and who she was and how she had come to know Pan. The escape she planned that had blown up the lab and let them escape. The crash on this planet and the fuel they needed and the job for the prince. Then she came to the events of today and both Nasha and Taski turned into tomatoes as the told of their meeting and then to the capture of Pan by the cyborg Mardol.
"So you have no clue where she is," Trunks said exasperated.
"Nope," Nasha said. Trunks head sank lower. He got up and walked out of the room.
"Who was that anyway," asked Nasha.
"That was Pan' fiancé Trunks," answered Leon.
"What?! That jack ass! But Pan said he was a real sweetie."
"Yeah but," cut in Taski. "He had his life stolen away without a trace and is desperately trying to track it down, but is always a step behind. I'd be frustrated too if I were him." Nasha sighed and realized he made sense. 'At least I picked a smart guy,' thought Nasha and leaned her head on his.
Trunks walked into the small bed chambers and lay on the bed. He inhaled deeply and caught the slight sent of her. He laid there for what seemed like hours; actually it could have been hours. Just sitting there imagining her sleeping form lying there in front of him. He sighed and fell into a deep sleep with his love by his side.
On Mardol's large ship
Pan sat on the cold hard bed looking at the wall. Her hand went to her chest and pulled out her locket and opened it staring at the picture of Trunks and then looking down at her enormous stomach. She placed a hand over it as she felt a small kick from within and winced in pain. "Take it easy, you can spar when you're out of me, but not before ok?" They kicking continued, but softer. "I won't let him have you, no matter what. I promise you that much."
From the eye-slit on Pan's cell door two dark eyes stared in at her and watched her conversing with her unborn daughter.
"Just have to wait a little longer now. Just a few more weeks." With that the slit shut and Pan was once again alone to be with her daughter.
Will Trunks and the newly formed group find Pan? What does Mardol want with Pan? Will he do something to Pan's baby? Who is that watching Pan? Find out in the next chapter: "The unknown ally"
AN: Sorry for not having a lot on Pan in this chapter, but the next chapter will have a lot more of Pan in it.
