~~~~~~~~~~~``` Chapter 2
Bulma woke to the sound of her buzzer. She rolled on the empty bed, shutting off the miserable sound.
Normal schedule started at 7. Taking a shower, brushing teeth and hair, dressing in normal capsule Corp. products. Making breakfast for her family and parents, then heading outside to call in her little son and her Sayian Prince.
After an hour of family breakfast, Vegeta and Trunks went back outside and train in the grass till 12. Trunks would then join her at work for the rest of the afternoon till 5 and leave his father to train heavily in the GR that she had all ready fixed early that morning.
"Hey, Trunks," Bulma kneel down before her son.
"Yea, momma?"
"Why don't you go see grandpa. I'm sure he would love to see his favorite grandson." She ruffled his hair.
He squealed in laughter, "Momma! I'm his only grandson!" She winked at him and kissed his forehead. He ran off down the hallway.
Bulma turned into her office, going to her desk with a sigh, "Miss Briefs?" A familiar male voice came through the front door.
Bulma turned quickly and stalled at who was before her. "Oh hey, Dagan." She smiled lightly.
"How are you?" He leaned against the doorway, putting his hands in his pockets.
Bulma leaned up against her desk, "I'm fine and yourself?"
"Better." He smiled lightly when he saw her blush. "I hope your still not mad at me for yesterday. I didn't mean to cross a line."
"Yeah, well, I should be the one apologizing. I shouldn't have blown up at you."
"I agree." They both chuckled. He suddenly stood straight, "Umm…Would you like to join me for lunch? I know it's like almost 3 and all but I haven't eaten and I was kinda hoping you haven't either…"
"Yeah, that would be good."
"Yeah?"
Bulma nodded. "Let me go and make sure my mom is fine with watching Trunks and we'll be on our way." She went up to him.
"All right. I'll meet you up front?"
"No! Umm..how about you go and get us a seat at the restaurant?"
"Sure. Any particular place you want to eat at?"
"Umm..how about the same one as yesterday."
"All right."
"Okay, I'll meet you there in 10 minutes." He nodded and smiled then turned and walked away.
Bulma let out a sigh of relief but smiled to herself as she walked down the hall…
Bulma searched around the dinning place. Her eyes met the young man's body sitting in his chair, nervously fixing and straightened all the silverware and anything in reach that looked messed up. He patted his brown short hair, fixing his tie. She smiled with a slight blush but walked up to him. She cleared her throat. His head snapped up at her, his green eyes meeting hers, she smiled sweetly, "Is this chair taken?"
Dagan stood and went to the chair, pulling it out for her, "It is now." She blushed unnoticeably and sat down.
After ordering their drinks and food, they talked about work and stuff. "Small talk" as some would say. Bulma sipped on her drink after a bit while the man before her stared at her questionably but not asking anything, "I take it you would like to know the answer to your question?" She inquired.
"I would but I won't push it. You don't have--"
"I want to." He nodded and listened intently, "I thought about what you said. It's been going through my mind ever since you asked it. And I realized why I blew up at you. And the reason I did was because…I didn't know the answer…I guess to extent yes. But…" She sighed, "No." Their eyes connected.
~~~ Flashback ~~

"Kami, Miss Briefs--"

"What did I tell you about that?" She smile accusingly.

"Sorry, Bulma. I just didn't think you were this great to be around. I mean at work you're always a…"

"Bitch."

"Forgive me. I should not have said that."

"No. You're right. I am. My husband loves to remind me every chance he gets." Her smile fading.

"Bulma, can I tell you something?" Bulma nodded, "I really like being around you. I always thought you were beautiful and pretty damn smart but your personality is just hard to find. I like you."

Bulma blushed and smiled, "Thank you. You too. I mean, look at you. You are rather…forgive me…handsome. And you are so open. I like that." They smiled at each other for a moment.

"Bulma. May I ask you something?"

"Anything."

"Are you happy?"

"Yeah, I had a great day--"

"No. That's not what I meant…I mean with your life. Are you happy?"

She laughed a bit, "How could you ask me that? Of course, I am. I have a wonderful life. I'm rich, I'm smart, beautiful. I have a perfect son. True friends, Wonderful Friends!--"

"Vegeta?"

Her smile faded, and her blue eyes set ablaze, "You have no right to ask me that." Bulma stood out of insult and anger.

Dagan leaned back in his chair, he knew he just made a mistake. "Look Bulma, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to get you upset. Please."

Bulma clamed a little. "No look, I'm sorry. I better go. Here." She rummaged through her purse, pulling at a 20 dollar bill. "I'll see you at work tomorrow." She dropped the money on the table then quickly walked out.

~~~~ End ~~~
"No?" He questioned.
"No." Bulma sadly stated.
They conversed for 2 hours all together, Bulma finally decided it was time to get home. "I'll see you tomorrow at work?" Bulma asked as Dagan held the door open for her.
"Definitely."
They stood together next to Bulma's car, just staring at each other in an a awkward silence. "All right. Thank you for lunch. I had a good time."
"Me too. Bulma, maybe if your not busy tomorrow, you would like to have lunch again?" He shyly asked.
"Yeah I would really enjoy that."
"Yeah, me too."
"Ok."
"Ok." Dagan opened her car door for her. "Bye."
"Bye." She tightened her seat belt and turned on her car.
"Drive safe." She smiled and drove away.
~~~~~~~~~~````

Everyday for the past month, Bulma and Dagan ate lunch together. Sometimes working late, while catching up on the missed hours when they were off for lunch. They became really close friends. Bulma couldn't help but admit to herself and ONLY to her self, she liked him. He made her feel needed on more then just a sex level as it was with Vegeta. Dagan was her friend and they talked the way her husband never would. Movies, people at work, kids, things that Vegeta thought as a pointless conversation. If he only knew how much she needed the human connection of friendship, would he try at least? The fact was, Vegeta could careless. So what harm would it do if she looked for that kind of connection somewhere else?

And yet, explaining this to her husband was certainly out of the question. He wouldn't understand and all that would happen if she were to tell him would be his anger and jealousy. He would immediately kill Dagan and blame it all on her. So keeping Dagan a secret, though not a very good idea was her only option. She needed a life outside of Vegeta, if he would only understand that.
