Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ Needed ❯ She deserves what? ( Chapter 11 )
~~~~~~````` Chapter 11
Vegeta landed on top of a hill. One tree centered in the middle. His little boy sat down leaning against the trunk. Vegeta came up from behind, plopping himself down next to his son, neither saying anything.
"Father?"
"What?"
"Why did you come back?"
Vegeta sighed, dropping his head against the tree. "I do not know."
Trunks head dropped into his chest, "Oh." Vegeta watched him but said nothing, "Can I ask you something?"
"What?"
"I thought you said it was wrong to hit females, Father. I do not understand."
"It is wrong."
"When why were you going to hit mother?"
"I wasn't going to hit her."
"But I saw--"
"I would never hit her."
He suddenly became cold, "Why not? She would deserve it."
Vegeta turned his head in shame, shutting his eyes and sighing out, "I have destroyed you."
"What was that, Father?"
"Nothing."
"You should hit her. Can I, Father?"
Vegeta snapped his head angrily to him, "No."
"She deserves it, father."
"She deserves pain but not physical."
"She deserves every bit of pain you give her father. She has betrayed us."
"No, boy. She betrayed me. Not you. You have nothing to do with this."
"But you said--"
"Forget what I said. I was angry. I was using you to hurt her. But it is not fair to you."
"You were not using me, Father. You were telling me the truth." He looked away, "I hate her."
"No you don't."
"Yes I do."
"No boy. You hate the things I said to you. But those things that I said were not all true."
"I do not understand."
"The only thing she did wrong was fuck another male."
"But what about--"
"What did I say? That was the only thing she did."
"But…didn't she want another son?"
"No."
"But she left me."
"Because I told her too."
Trunks shook his head, "Father, why are you lying to me?"
"I'm not, boy. This is the first time I am saying the truth."
"But…No…What about…She hates me…You said so. You said she didn't want a half breed. That I wasn't good enough. I even saw him, Father."
"Who?"
"The male. He came over two years ago. But that was the last time I saw him."
[so the Fucker's alive?] "It was a lie. She does not hate you. She never wanted another son. You were always good enough."
Trunks thought for serval moments. Taking in what his father just said. Trunks stood and went up to him, "Why would you lie to me, father? Why?" He whispered.
Vegeta looked up at him, "I had to."
Trunks held his head in his hands, "I don't understand." He whined while dropping to his knees. His body shook in sobs, holding himself closer, "Why did you lie, daddy? Why?"
Vegeta's jaw clenched while he looked away. "Stop your tearing boy. Sayians do not tear."
His body slowly stopped in shaking but he didn't lift her head from his thighs, "You tend to forget, father. I'm half human." Slowly the boy stood to his feet, wiping the tears away. Trunks looked down at his father, "Father?" Vegeta turned his head to him. "Do you hate me?"
Vegeta flinched at those words. Hate? How could he ask that? "What a stupid question." Vegeta growled and stood, glaring at his son.
"That is the only reason that I could come up with of why you would lie to me like that, Father. I thought I was your son. I thought that fathers never lie to their sons?"
"Perhaps not but I am not like those other fools."
"You mean not like Kakarot?"
Vegeta glared at his son, "Go home, boy."
"Why? Mother won't want me back now. Not after everything I said to her." He looked away in shame.
Vegeta turned his back, "Go home."
Before he could take off, Trunks intervened, "What of you, Father? Will you come back? Or will you leave me again?"
"It is not you I leave." Vegeta blasted off into the air not looking back at his son.
[Is he lying to me again? I don't understand? I saw them together. I saw her and that male?]
Flash back
"Trunks, please. Listen to me." She pleaded. "I love your father. He is my bonded mate too. It was a mistake. Please honey."
"Shut up! I don't care."
"Well, then start caring!" Bulma busted out as her ki rose too. "You haven't talk to me in three months and all you say is you don't care! I don't believe you, Trunks! You care. Your father just pounded you till you hide all of your caring away but you do care. Do not tell me you don't."
~~~~~~` End of Flashback
[After two years…will she forgive me? I have said such things to her…Mommy…] Trunks dropped down onto the front porch. He just stood there. Just stood…
His ears perked up at something being played inside. With curiosity, Trunks turned the knob and stepped inside.
*** Say your prayers little one
Don't forget, my son
To include everyone
Tuck you in, warm within
Keep you free from sin
Till the sandman he comes
Sleep with one eye open
Gripping your pillow tight***
A small smile appeared on his lips for the first time in two years. [Our Song] He slowly made his way into the kitchen.
*** Exit: light
Enter: night
Take my hand
We're off to never never land***
Trunks peaked his head into the doorway to see his mother dancing wildly to the rock music as she cooked. A spoon in her hand, singing into it like a microphone. He couldn't help but laugh a little at the sight. His mother swung around with a bright smile at him while she continued to dance and sing with the words acting out the song but looking this way and that with wide frightened eyes. Trunks began to laugh at her.
**Something's wrong, shut the light
Heavy thoughts tonight
And they aren't of snow white***
She danced closer to him.
***Dreams of war, dreams of liars
Dreams of dragon's fire
And of things that will bite
Sleep with one eye open
Gripping your pillow tight***
***Exit: light
Enter: night
Bulma held out her hand with the one that wasn't occupied. Trunks looked at her billant smile and with a laugh placed his small hand into hers. She pulled him in to dance.
Take my hand
We're off to never never land***
Bulma instantly wrapped her arms around her boy, picking him up into her embrace swinging him around. Trunks buried his head into her neck, squeezing her with most of his strength. Bulma sung the main part lightly in his ear while Trunks replied with the back round words.
***Now I lay me down to sleep
{{{Back Round}}} (Now I lay me down to sleep)
Pray the lord my soul to keep
(Pray the lord my soul to keep)
If I die before I wake
(If I die before I wake)
Pray the lord my soul to take
(Pray the lord my soul to take)***
Bulma kissed his head and began to whisper the following parts of the song.
***Hush little baby, don't say a word
And never mind that noise you heard
It's just the beasts under your bed,
In your closet, in your head***
They laughed together, looking at each other happily while they sung the rest of the song.
***Exit: light
Enter: night
Grain of sand
Exit: light
Enter: night
Take my hand
We're off to never never land***
Bulma held him tight in her arms, letting tears fall upon his purple ball of hair stroking his back while rocking them both gently. "I love you, my baby boy."
"I love you too, mommy." Trunks cried into his mother's shoulder.
Several minutes past before either one drew away and when they did they laughed at each other, wiping the others tears away. Bulma kissed him on the forehead then resting hers on his. Trunks smiled at her but then suddenly tears began again. Bulma instantly began brushing them away, "What's wrong, Baby? You can tell me."
He sniffed, "Do you hate me?"
Bulma's face dropped as tears welled in her eyes, "No, sweetie. I could never hate you."
"But I said bad things to you."
"Oh, don't worry. I'm a tough girl. I knew you didn't mean them."
Trunks looked away, "But I did mean them, Mom. But that's only because dad said stuff about you that wasn't true. I'm sorry I believed him. I didn't think he would lie to me." He whispered. The pain made clear in his voice as he spoke of his father.
Bulma brought his face back to hers and smiled at him, "Hey, don't you worry about your father. That's my job. He didn't mean what he said. He was just angry, ok? You father loves you and was only trying to make you strong. He hurts, sweetie and doesn't know what to do. But don't you let him get to you, OK? Just know that no matter what, I will never stop loving you."
Trunks sniffed and smiled at him mom, then hugged her tightly, "That's my baby." Bulma breathed into his hair, hugging him tightly.

Bulma held her son in her arms as he rocked him to sleep humming the tones to Enter Sandman into his ear. Their evening was filled with laughs and playing, making up for lost time. Now the exhasted Trunks laid in her arms, eyes wanting desperately to drift shut but Trunks refused the pull of sleep, "Mommy?"
"Yes, Honey?"
"Are you Sayian now?"
"Yeah."
"Cool." A silence past while Bulma continued to rock him and hum their song. "Mommy?"
"What?"
"I'm sorry."
Bulma pulled her head from his and looked upon him questionably, "For what?"
"For all the mean things I did."
"Don't worry baby. It's forgotten. I'm just glad you're back in my arms again."
Silence again. Bulma placed her chin on his head continuing her humming and rocking while holding him tightly, "Mommy?"
"Huh?"
"Do you love dad?"
"Of course, Baby." She whispered.
Hesitantly, "Then…Then why'd you do it?"
Bulma's body tensed and her rocking and humming stalled. "Because…It's your father who can't love me."
Trunks lifted his head to looke up at her, "Yes, huh."
"No, he doesn't baby." She whispered sadly.
"Yes, huh." He insisted.
"How do you figure?"
"Well, he cares about you right?"
"Yes."
"You can't care without loving the one you care about."
"Yes, you can."
"No, you can't."
"Yes."
"Nope. Think about it, Mom. Think of everything you care about and tell me if you don't love it."
Bulma thought for a moment, "Well, I care about my job but--"
"You always tell me you love your job." He pointed out stubbornly, crossing his arms in front of his chest and an eyebrow rising.
Bulma couldn't resist the smile that pulled at her lips at the sight of her baby acting exactly like Vegeta. "Ok, what about the house."
"Same."
She thought again, "Oh! My co-workers. I don't love them."
"You don't care enough."
Bulma contemplated everything for a moment trying to see if she could some up with something she cared about but didn't love. Not being able to made Bulma very agiated. "Go to sleep, honey." Quickly changing the subject. She stood, and tucked him in, "We'll wake up early to train, all right?"
"All right. Night Mom."
"Night, Baby." She kissed his forehead and headed out.
