~~~~~~~` Chapter
What had she done? Please let it be a nightmare. Kami, what had she done.
The blood though dried stained her hand and never did her eyes leave it. The corner is where she had been sitting the past twelve hours. Hunger was not even a thought. Her body shook, never had it stopped since she first went out the morning before she…
Did anyone know yet? Was it in the news? She didn't care to move. Her bloody hand was hard enough to take it.
"I killed him." She whispered again. And within an hour she would say it sixty more times.
This is the scene Vegeta had walked in upon. What had he done? Why had he told her to do that? What was his justification? To tell the truth, he didn't think she would go through with it. Not for one moment did the thought cross his mind. Sure she loved him, but she was rational. Sensible. She would say she was human, and that killing could never be apart of her, and he would leave. That way it would be on her and not his choice to stay away. As much as he wished not to admit it, outer space wasn't all it was cracked up to be. It was boring. For two years all he wanted to do was go back. For what reasons he still didn't know. He had his GR, all the food he craved, but there was more missing. He realized it when he fell into an empty bed.
He hadn't even gave one ounce of thought after he left her, after mating with her. Feeling her body once again. Drowning in the addiction that was her. It had been so long, and his body wasn't allowing him to concentrate. That was the basic reason he returned. Vegeta wanted one last bout with her and then leave her broken, so he could return to his training. But it hadn't turned out that way. Once he had her, he wanted her again. But this was to be expected. Their bond was strong, and he felt the full affects of it. But his pride wouldn't let him just return without some kind of justice to her wicked betrayal.
So he had instructed her to kill, making it easier on himself so he wouldn't return. Because of course, she wasn't supposed to do it. And then he had felt her ki. But he wasn't quick enough to stop it. He had come too late and now his mate was lost to him. How had he fucked up so much?
But what the hell was he thinking! He didn't give a rat's ass about this woman. Who the hell cares what she's like now! She had cheated on him! She deserved everything that he threw at her. The pain! The tears! The guilt! That was his revenge!
So why did gazing at her in the corner whispering to herself and staring at the bloody hand, bother him so?
Would they ever be over this? How will their relationship, whatever the hell is left of it, ever heal from this?
Vegeta shook his head, going to Bulma and lifting her in his arms though she seemed oblivious that there was any disturbance. Removing her clothing and setting her down in the tub, didn't even penetrate her thoughts. The hot water splashed down and quickly filled the tub.
His hand touched the bloody fingers, holding them tight in his strong grasp watching her eyes widen in her fright when he lowered it into the water. Her body tightened, her fingernails embedded themselves in his skin. Tears dripped off her rims but never did her eyes leave her hand, even as he rubbed the blood away.
Vegeta watched her all the while, feeling her within him, cursing himself for the bond that he moronically fell for. But no matter the pain that she had caused. Did she deserve this?
His Sayian mind agreed that she deserved everything given to her. She should just be lucky he hadn't killed her. Or maybe that would have been better then this…
Human thoughts. So sentimental. Vegeta growled but only in his mind.
He took his other hand to slowly pull her fingers one by one out of his skin, he was mindless toward the blood that seeped from him. He gazed at her and her wide sullen eyes blinked their way to find his.
"I killed." She whispered.
"No. I killed."
Bulma's eyes pinned themselves to the wall, the numbness of her body was finally returning to her. Her hand fell from his, splashing in the water. "Get out." She whispered with the strain of her voice. Tears falling now, still disregarded. And Vegeta, not knowing what else to do, growled and went to leave.
He stalled however at the door, his back to her, "Do not do anything stupid." He was gone when she looked to him.
Bulma curled herself into a ball, the warm water doing nothing to relax her. She knew what he meant. He could hear her thoughts clearly as he can hear her speak. She wanted to go to the police. Turn herself in for Murder. Because that is what she did. Murderer, that is what she is.
Trunks stood in the doorway, shy and unsure. His mother laid in her giant bed alone, hugging her pillow tight to her. She hadn't gotten out of bed for days. And his father was hiding his ki so he couldn't even go to him. Something had happened. But what to cause her to do this?
Never had he seen her in such a state. Never. It scared him. But he took a step in, wanting to somehow alleviate her pain. He stopped at the side of the bed. "Momma?" He whispered lightly, her eyes never leaving the wall in front of her. "Momma, I start school today." Stalling for a reaction but none came. "Momma, Did daddy hurt you? He said he wouldn't. Are you hurt?" Silent still. Trunks climbed up on the large bed, crawling to be before her and leaning down to kiss her cheek. "I love you, Momma. I can buy my lunch so don't worry. Grandma's going to be coming over. Chi-Chi and Goku plan to stop by." He touched her messy hair tucking it behind her ear. "You haven't been out of bed in five days, Momma. Why won't you talk to me?" He sniffed in his own tears, wiping her wet cheek. "Bye, Momma. I'll be home in a few hours." He kissed her cheek again and went for the door.
"I love you, baby." Her voiced strained as if she had something stuck in her throat. He smiled and turned around but it just ended up finding her in the same place. He walked out. He shrugged for his imagination was getting the best of it.
Vegeta dropped down at the doorstep, before Kakarot and his demon mate. "Leave." He growled nearly dangerously.
Goku took a step forward, "Trunks called us and said Bulma wasn't doing good. What did you do, Vegeta?"
"Leave here, now, Kakarot."
"You killed him. How could you do that? You haven't killed in eight years. What happened, Vegeta?"
"Do not talk to me like it was not expected. I live here but it does change who I am, Kakarot. You would understand, if you were one bit Sayian."
"What's wrong with Bulma? Did you hurt her?"
"And if I did?" Vegeta cocked in eyebrow, a smirk rising on his lips feeling his opponent's ki heighten.
"Then me and you will have problem. I don't want any trouble, Vegeta."
"Huh, weakling. What, Too scared?"
Goku smirked, "Hardly."
A growl vibrated from his chest, "Leave now. She is not yours, Kakarot."
"She obviously isn't yours."
Chi-Chi gripped her husband's arm, "Why don't you just beat him up all ready?"
"I have no reason too. He wouldn't harm her. No matter how much he has changed. His pride stands in his way." Vegeta glared though replied nothing. The fool was backing out. No reason to provoke. He just wanted to go and get his mate back to the way she was before. Goku smiled, "If you kill anyone else, me and you are going to have problems."
"You all ready have problems, fool. Now leave here." Vegeta turned his back out of disrespect and went into the house. He waited till their kis faded in the distance. Looking up the steps of stairs Vegeta sighed. She has had enough time to deal with it her way. And evidently her way wasn't working. Now forced would be needed. Anything to get her from this state she was in.
