Pepper The Saiyan Princess
Prologue
New Borns
On a planet, in the deepest regions of space, a father paced the floors dreading the birth of his second child. 'If only times could be different, but Frieza will only take him too.'
Decades, for as long as he could remember, Frieza had been the fear of the universe as he conquered and destroyed entire planets and civlizations. There was no joy or laughter for his armies, only death and pain. King Vegeta use to remember a proud and mighty race that were feared by many; now they were only a distant memory.
A sad smile creeped on the King's face when he recalled better years. The first time, was when Prince Vegeta was born. With powers that were on the verge of becoming a Super Saiyan, all had hoped that the boy would one day be the key to freeing them from their bondage. Such was not to be the case when Frieza arrived shortly after the new borns birth and demanded that the boy be handed to him when he reached the age of ten.
King Vegeta's spirit died that day, devastated that he could not save his only child from a life a suffering and pain. A cry, broke him from his trance, to have a small bundle placed in his arms. 'How long will I have you before Frieza takes you as well?'
Holding her up, his eyes widened when he saw the silver tail hanging in the air, weaving in small circles to find something to wrap itself around. "I have a daughter?" he asked with growing curiosity. Her eyes were dark pools, reflecting the soul of the person seeing into them. Gently, scared that he would hurt her, he stroked the silky silver that was so different than any Saiyan tail he had ever come across. All Saiyans had red, sable or black, but she was unique.
With a squeal of laughter, the small girl reached up with her hands and pulled on her father's red beard. He almost didn't hear one of the doctor's speaking to him, but the last sentence angered him. "Your majesty, the arrangements for her disposal has been taken care of. All you..."
"She stays."
"Your majesty. Frieza doesn't want..." Screaming in agony, the man was destroyed, never finishing his protest. The other personnel in the room, trembled in terror as they saw a fire begin to burn bright in the King's eyes.
"No one touches her, do I make myself clear?" he growled. Looking at the person who was closest to the dead man, "Have you tested her power level yet?"
"Yes your majesty, however it's been nearly impossible to receive an accruate reading. One second she's at ten, then over 1,000,000. I've never seen anything like her before, but there was another born today that had powers of a Super Saiyan. His mind is unstable and we can't control the raging fits that he has as he lashes out at everything in his environment."
"I'll check on it. Anything else?"
"Yes your majesty. Bardock, the Saiyan General, is the father of a son named Kakarot. He was born at the same time as your daughter, but his power is as hard to determine as hers."
'Odd,' he thought. 'Why are so many Saiyans with this much power being born at the same time?'
"Do you need us to choose a name for her your majesty?"
"Her name is Pepper." A female Saiyan was said to be a good omen for the house that had one, yet she also had the rarest asset her race could have, a silver tail. Still holding her in his arms, Vegeta took his daughter, thinking of a way to keep Frieza from finding out about her.
There were many empty beds in the nursery and he growled in bitter anger. No longer did the babies fill every space they could find; most of the women on Vegeta-sai had been killed by a sickness that was brought by Frieza when he first appeared. Only a few remained, Pepper being the last in twenty years.
One bed was not empty and he resembled his father exactly. Vegeta was not the type to stop and gaze at babies, but this Saiyan hypnotized him with a strong and fearless gaze. 'You're Kakarot, son of Bardock. How powerful are you, boy?'
Wanting to satisfy his curiosity, he walked into the nursery and set Pepper down along side the infant, setting a computer up to do the necessary tests on both children. As it beeped, he noticed a strange thing happening with his daughter and Kakarot. Still asleep, they curled around each other peacefully, protecting the other.
'Why are these two different from other Saiyans?' His questions were cut short when both babies woke up screaming in unison, raising their power levels to a point where the computer's sensors melted. Stepping back, he watched in fearful awe as their hair and eyes flickered, but not changing completely.
"Incredible, with the powers of these two, they could defeat Frieza easily. The only problem is, I can't hide them before he discovers and demands to take them." Leaving his daughter with Kakarot, he ran out of the nursery knowing what he had to do to save the last babies of Vegeta-sai.
Kidnapped?
