Pepper The Saiyan Princess
Chapter One
Kidnapped?
Running out of the nursery, King Vegeta finally knew how he could save the last babies of Vegeta-sai and have the last laugh against Frieza when the two Saiyans were old enough. He made it back to his rooms, pacing the floors in growing excitement. 'It can work! When everyone's asleep I could easily carry out my plans and no one would have a clue about what happened.'
Bardock would be the only problem, but considering what would happen to the boy if Frieza found out about him, there was no other choice. 'He's my best fighter, but even he's growing weary and tired of the battle.' His closet had many clothes in it, but he chose the darkest outfit and started to put it on, laughing when it was hard to distinguish himself from the shadows.
"Lord Frieza," Zarbon addressed, bowing. "There's been word that three babies were born today, one being King Vegeta's."
"Ohhh. Why was I not informed before their births? Did they have any information for us?"
"We're waiting for our informant to contact us again. King Vegeta was walking into the room when his child was being born."
"How long ago was that?"
"Two hours ago."
"Either your informant has been discovered, or the baby died in child birth. Zarbon, I'm tired of these growing pests and will eliminate them at the source of the problem."
"Yes my lord." Zarbon was prepared to leave the bridge when Dodoria came walking in with a smug grin that didn't go well with his fat body.
"Lord Frieza, Bardock will no longer be a concern for us." Smirking, he stood up, "He was buried with his men."
"Oh really," Zarbon taunted. "Isn't that his space pod racing back to his home planet?" Dodoria gasped, trembling in fear as Frieza stood up with a growl. "You should check your work before it comes back to bite you in the ass. Saiyans become stronger after every defeat and it won't take him long to recover in a regeneration tank."
"Silence!" Frieza ordered. With his back to them, "Have you made the necessary arrangements to take the Prince upon our arrival?"
"Yes, sire. What about the second child if there is one, my lord?"
"Take him."
It hurt to draw breath, but the Saiyan general could not stop to allow himself to recover or die as he made his way back home. 'How could we have been so blind? Frieza, I don't know how, but you'll pay for what you've done and are going to do.'
His mind whirled with images that he had been having since the battle of the Carnassans, hating them for their curse. The Saiyans' end was at hand, yet no one would listen to him if he told them. One image was uncertain, because there were two possible futures for the two people he saw in it.
'Is that my son, Kakarot? Who's the girl beside him and why does she have a silver tail?' Bardock sighed when he saw the last female warrior laying with his men, dead from Dodoria's ambush. 'Fasha, I'm sorry.' With a grunt, he braced himself for impact and didn't wait for the medical staff to arrive to his pod. 'King Vegeta needs to know. He's the only one that will believe what's happening to me.'
Several Saiyans snickered at the General, but he didn't care as he shoved them aside, not wanting their help or sympathies. 'Bastards, they deserve to die for their ignorance and conceited manners.' King Vegeta was the only Saiyan, other than his brother, who could defeat him.
'Sometimes it's brains that when the war, not might. In this case, neither will matter when Frieza gets here tomorrow."
Right before Bardock's return, early the next morning, a silent shadow crept through the halls looking for a target to strike. Uttering not a sound, he slowly made his way back into the nursery, avoiding the security cameras on their beds. Quickly, he took them out and snatched both babies before the alarm would sound.
The precious bundles in his arms, opened their eyes, but to his luck they did not cry. Kakarot's tail was wrapped tightly around Pepper's waist and looked at his king with eyes that seemed to know what was happening. 'I've never seen two Saiyans bond this closely before. Kakarot, take care of her for me.'
He thought his eyes were playing tricks on him when he saw the tail tighten in response to his thoughts. Keeping his ears and eyes open, he watched for any early personel that would ask him questions. 'No one is going to give her to Frieza; not while I still draw breath in this body.
The shipping bay was crowded with people preparing to send soldiers to their next assignment. An hour passed with Vegeta hiding behind several crates, when the bay cleared completely. 'Now's my chance.' Running over to the space pods, he gently placed the two infants in the large seat and smiled sadly. Pepper's tail slowly wound around his finger, giving him the strength to go through with what he came here for. 'Stay alive you two.'
After he had them secure, he walked over to the control panel and set in the coordinates for a planet that wasn't in Frieza's control or current jurisdiction. Pressing a button, he watched the launch doors open and shoot the pod deep into space to a planet he did not know as he erased all data from the computer.
Alarms blared, bringing back the personel and several guards. Standing to his full height, he smirked at his subjects screeching to a halt to stare at him with wide and confused eyes. "Your Majesty? What are you doing here?"
"Since when do I have to explain my day to common soldiers?" he snarled at them. For the first time in many years, he appeared dangerous and deadly, making his men tread lightly.
"I apologize, King Vegeta. We were taken by surprise and have no intentions of making you answer me."
Walking out the door, he glanced over his shoulder smirking. "I should kill you for the lousy security, but I'll let you go this time." Laughing at their blue faces, Vegeta left feeling triumphant about his mission. There was no way to trace what he had done and even if they did, it would be five years before the two babies reached their destination with only two objectives in mind. They were to train and fight Frieza when they were older and Kakarot was to protect the last heir to the Saiyan throne.
Stopping at a window, he stared out it for a long time, hoping against hope that his child would survive. Everything was taken one day at a time, with nothing certain in the universe. 'Why do I feel you two will be the last Saiyans to live in the future? Stay strong, because you're all I have left to depend on."
Later that morning, the enitre palace was in chaos at the kidnapping of the two infants. Bardock was back and dying as he quickly made his way through the castle towards his king and Frieza was one day away from the planet.
Prince Vegeta was upset that his sister, that he had never seen, had been kidnapped and demanded that she be found. King Vegeta felt bad that he could do nothing for his son, but tried to forget about it as he sat in his throne room waiting.
In a peaceful slumber, two infants lay in a space pod flying towards Earth. Kakarot would open his eyes from time to time, looking at the bright stars that shone down on them. With no idea what was in store for them, they remained close to each other, a bond forming between them as silver and black intertwined together for five-years.
Much rested upon their shoulders and only one person saw their potential before they disappeared from a race they never had a chance to know.
