Piccolo's Heart
Key: This is going to be like a play… most of my stories are dialogue anyhow. If a person is thinking it, it will be in parentheses. If a person is speaking telepathically, it will be in pound signs. The chapters will be dived by acts consisting of scenes. Got it? Good.
Setup: Piccolo has been wandering Earth for five years after Cell… trying to find his life's purpose. No one of the Z squad has seen him since Goku's death, not even Gohan.

Act VIII: Wishes
Scene I: Kami's Lookout: Outside
Kim embraces Gohan and apologizes profusely, very upset that she would cause Gohan trouble at home. Gohan melts into her embrace dropping the suitcase of clothing. He returns her embrace and Piccolo growls involuntarily. With Piccolo's growl, Dende looks back at Piccolo and then at Gohan.
Gohan: Kim, don't worry… I need some independence anyways. I've survived in a cave, all alone… and I have you and Piccolo and Dende and Mr. Popo here for me.
Kim {breaks the hug}: Umm… yeah… {looks at Piccolo} (We were going to leave… now what?)
Dende: Piccolo, is something wrong?
Piccolo: Nothing… (I don't know where that growl came from)
Kim: Pici! Are you ill? {rushes over to Piccolo feeling his forehead}
Piccolo slaps her hand away. He stalks over to the edge of the Lookout and sits. Then meditates.
Kim {holding her hand to her chest}: Piccolo?
Gohan {places hand on Kim's shoulder}: Leave him be. Did he hurt your hand?
Kim {drops her hand}: No…
Gohan: That's good… Do you want to help me unpack?
Kim {turns to Gohan}: Alright.
Gohan: Come then. {takes her hand}
Kim and Gohan leave taking the suitcase.
Dende: We should talk to Shenlong, now.
Piccolo: She told you… didn't she?
Dende: She told me because if you were to know it could affect this world… tremendously… She wants to tell you. I see it in her eyes… she doesn't wish to hide things from you… she is…
Piccolo {stands, staring at the cloudless sky}: She's what?
Dende: In love with you… funny, huh?
Piccolo: Do you think I am an idiot? I can see that she is in love with me… but what about Gohan?
Dende: Gohan? (If he only knew…) She looks to Gohan as a friend.
Piccolo: Arise, dragon.
Shenlong fills the sky.
Shenlong: What is it you wish?
Dende: Why is Kim's power the same as Piccolo's?
Shenlong: You try my patience.
Piccolo: Is she connected to me?
Shenlong: It was part of her wish… she wanted power like you.
Piccolo: Is she in love with Gohan?
Shenlong: That is not a question, I can answer. But I tell you this… she is here to fulfill your wish.
The dragon disappears.
Dende: I can't believe you! You are still convinced she has feelings for Gohan! Are you stupid?
Piccolo {glares at Dende}: Would you mind repeating that?
Dende {gulps}: Sorry. {runs off}
Scene II: Kami's Lookout: Gohan's room
Kim helps Gohan by unpacking his books as he unpacks his clothes. Gohan finshes.
Gohan: So how are things with Piccolo?
Kim: Sometimes good… sometimes bad.
A certain Namek that is green with jealousy listens in on Gohan and Kim.
Gohan {sits on the bed}: Have you told him, yet?
Kim: I don't wish to discuss it… I have caused problems… maybe I should have left.
Gohan: I'll tell you a secret.
Kim {sits beside Gohan}: What?
Gohan: I think you were sent here to grant my wish, too. {looks at Kim}
Kim {shocked}: Um… what wish?
Gohan: It's sort of embarrassing.
Piccolo has heard enough… he flies off… feeling like Kim is better off with Gohan.
Gohan: I wanted so badly for Piccolo to understand… I wanted someone to love him and see him as I do.
Kim: You wanted your teacher to know love?
Gohan: You were sent here because you love Piccolo… and I wanted Piccolo to love someone and have someone who cares.
Kim: That is sweet, Gohan.
Gohan: So… we have to get Piccolo to fall in love with you.
Kim: (That might not be as hard as you think.) I'm working on it.
Scene III: Somewhere far away from the Lookout (DBZ world)
Piccolo sighs as he relaxes himself into the hot spring.
Piccolo: (I wonder how long it will take them to realize I left? What do I care? They are probably going at it, right now.)
Nail: #You are such an idiot! I can't believe you just left her! She was everything! Smart, Beautiful… and most importantly she loved your sorry ass! And YOU THREW IT AWAY!#
Kami: #You left too soon… you probably misunderstood… it always happens when one jumps to conclusions.#
Nail: #She loves you… why do you think she would want to be with Gohan? She kissed you… not him.#
Piccolo: #A kiss… a mistake.#
Nail: #You are the most pathetic excuse for a man! You love her and she loves you. What can be simpler than that?#
Piccolo: #She loves Gohan… I can see it in her eyes… he is more her age and he is more her… HE'S HUMAN, well half…#
Kami: #Stop making excuses… Nail… let's leave Piccolo to himself…#
Nail: #Why? He'd like it if we did!#
Kami: #The silence will get to him… and the guilt.#
Nail: #Good one, Kami!#
Piccolo: #I like the quiet and I don't feel guilty!#
