Chapter 6 - Decree

Pan's head bounced off the steel wall, bringing her unpleasantly awake. Her sleepy eyes opening with a slow flutter of thick, black eyelashes.

"What just happened?" She tilted her head back on Trunks' arm to gaze up at him expectantly.

Trunks kept his features impassive as he spoke.

"We've landed." The tone of his voice was low, as he hit the square button by the door, and the hatch burst open. The sunlight slowly crept into the tiny space they had occupied. A few men were standing nearby. All ready to assist their lord, Prince Trunks.

"Lord." One man stepped forward. "We welcome you home."

Trunks set cold eyes on the man, and motioned for him to come closer. The Saiyan stepped forward. There was nothing said as the strange warrior reached into the pod and pulled Pan out, with a firm grip on her arm. She let out a loud gasp of shock, as she was dragged away like a stray dog. Pan looked over her shoulder to Trunks. He seemed completely calm. That was fine for him, but she was getting ready to freak out. This was her first time on an alien planet. She had no idea what was happening to her. The scariest thing was, Trunks was all she knew. Not that she had known him overly long.

Trunks was taking special care not react to the sight of another mans hands on Pan. It would do her little good for the entire planet to be buzzing about Lord Trunks' new paramour. A soldier came to his side and bowed.

"The King has been informed of your arrival, and he awaits you. You will wait for your man?" The man asked, with attentiveness.

Trunks nodded.

"How close is Goten to the planet?" Trunks stepped out and held his hand out toward the man who held Pan by the arm. She found her self immediately pressed back against him, locked in his soothing hold. In his arms she found comfort for her anxiety.

"Not far. A few moments more and he should be landing." Another man, not far from them, spoke up. In his hands he held a portable device that was linked to his scouter.

"We have been tracking your course for the last several hours, my lord."

Trunks paused and glanced down at Pan.

"We will wait for Goten before we move from here. I believe, I will need his help shortly."

"His help with what?" Pan felt uneasy at his words, but he merely averted his gaze to the pod streaking through the sky. Pan remembered the last time she had been close to a pod landing. "We are too close." She whispered, as she leaned back from him.

Trunks shook his head still not turning his attention to her, and rubbed her arms. "Be calm."

The pod crashed into the mesh landing surface and bounced a little before coming to a complete stop. The hatch opened, and to everyone's surprise a gorgeous alien girl, with hair the color of sun, was pushed backward out of the pod - to land on her butt. Marron looked up, rubbing her tender region on the landing pad.

"Oww, you!" She glared at Goten as he set one long leg on the ground and then gripped the side of the door to lift his frame from the pod. Marron was wrapped tightly in her robe, her knuckles white from clenching it closed. Goten was fully dressed, showing no signs of his exertion during the flight. Marron spat the blond strands from her mouth, and stood up on shaky legs before collapsing once again. "OWW cramp!" She relinquished her hold on the robe with one hand to latch on to the aching calf.

The men on the landing pad looked around at each other with stunned befuddlement. What ever they had been expecting, it was surely not this. The silence was loud and all-consuming. Goten looked around at the awe stuck men staring lustfully at his prize. He smirked and motioned to Marron.

"Don't just stand there. Someone drag her down to the infirmary and get her into a rejuvenation tank."

Marron was seized immediately, and pulled away from the rest of group. Her eyes widened.

"Hey! Let me go. I will get you for this Goten! I swear it."

Goten smiled and waved to her as she was taken away. He turned to Trunks, and with a dark look snarled, "I did not have a pod to myself after all."

Trunks felt the edges of his mouth turn up. "I take it you had a pleasant trip?"

Pan looked at the unreadable expressions transpiring between each man. Goten's face never changed as he said,

"I admit, it was the most interesting and exhausting journey I have had yet." Goten jerked his head to Pan and stated, "Do we take her to the king now?"

"No, I will need your help. She is going to the infirmary." Trunks watched Goten's head snap in his direction "She will meet my father in her Saiyan form."

Goten nodded, understanding that which Pan did not.

"Are you sure this is a very good idea?" He gave Pan a quick look over. "It's still experimental on Saiyans, and we have had no need to test it out on a Demi. There is no saying how it will affect her."

Trunks remained silent as he pondered Goten's words. Pan was chewing on her lip as she looked up at him.

"What is he talking about?"

Trunks pulled on her arm dragging her behind him.

"Nothing. It will be fine" He had not considered what Goten had said before. He did not want to think about it now. All his fantasies could become a reality if this worked. That was all that mattered.

As they entered the medical facility Marron was in a regeneration tank, banging on its transparent window. The bubbles around her floated up furiously with each angry strike of her hand. Goten strolled over with a most self satisfied gait and leaned next to the tank "You know, if the tank is damaged, in any way, you could drown in there." He was delighted to watch her hands freeze as she ceased her pounding. She sent him an angry glare and tossed up her middle finger at him before turning her head away.

Pan looked around, and shuddered with unease. What was going on here? It was then the door came open, and another Saiyan walked in. The man moved to a nearby counter to retrieve something before walking over to her.

Trunks' arm came around her, unexpectedly, from behind. He locked them in an iron grip around her waist and her right arm. "Hold your arm out to him, Pan." Trunks said in a commanding voice. Fear, and simple obstinacy, caused her to refuse. She pinned the free arm to her side, and shook her head hard.

Goten stepped forward with out a word and grabbed her arm. He them lifted and held it up for the other man. It was then Pan realized he had a needled syringe in his hand.

In true form, Goku's granddaughter screamed in terror.

"What are you trying to do to me!" She had almost pulled free of Trunks, when the needle pierced her flesh and the clear liquid began its burning path into her arm. She twisted as best she could, but Trunks and Goten kept her completely imprisoned.

"It will sting for a while." The other Saiyan pulled the needle out and smacked a patch over the wound roughly. "Keep a firm hold on her. It sometimes causes a violent reaction in some of the test patients, but it shortly subsides."

Sting?!? Pan panted as she felt the substance rushing through her veins. Her body was burning up. She pressed back against Trunks as if trying to seek solace there. Goten dropped her arm, watching her relaxing action. Pan felt her mind was getting fuzzy in her pain. She stomped the ground with one foot in agony. It was then it hit her like a bold of lightening. She had to get away! With her arm freed she reached around to plant her elbow in Trunks stomach, and finding him shockingly unprepared. He had not expected such power from her. She turned vicious in his arms, like a wild beast kicking and biting him. Pan was merely reacting to her primal responses. There were no rational thoughts left in her. Goten stepped forward, but Pan turned back, as if sensing his movements. Resting her weight against Trunks' chest and placing both feet square into Goten's massive chest, she sent him flying back. Her ki was just starting to flare around her, like bolts of electricity raining off her body. Some were so strong they jumped and spiked around the room, hitting walls and equipment before dissipating. Trunks was beginning to worry. He was loosing his grip on Pans thrashing form, and she had yet to even attempt to use her rising her ki level on him.

"Get a sedative over here." Trunks shouted at the other Saiyan who was cowering back by the counter. "Don't just stand there. Do it now!" Trunks ordered in a frantic yell. Pan was working harder to free her other arm. It didn't take her long to break away. Once freed, she reached over her head to place her hands on the back of Trunks' neck. Bending over she threw him onto the ground at her feet. The impact was extremely painful, even for him. As he rolled over and tried to stand, he noticed the force of his impact had cracked the tiled floor.

If he had expected Pan to flee, he was sorely mistaken. She hauled back her leg and let it fly into his side. Trunks groaned at the impact. Goten jumped over his Prince's injured form, and took on the battle. This time Pan blocked him kick for kick, punch for punch. Goten was suddenly unnerved by her newfound ability. Maybe restoring her tail had not been such a good idea. Trunks looked over and grabbed the syringe from the frightened doctor. He moved around behind Pan and slammed in into her side. Almost immediately, she fell back against him. She slumped down in his arms her eyes sliding shut. A low, menacing growl turned into a sigh of relief as she lost consciousness. It was then he felt it twitching against him. He looked down to see the sleek brown appendage thumping rhythmically on his leg. He had been right. She was a Demi-Saiyan, and he had brought her to Planet Vegeta, his father was going to be proud.

Bulma burst into the room. Her loose white gown flowing around her, like that of an avenging angel. "What in Kami's name are the two of you doing this time?" She looked around the room with large blue eyes at the mess the struggle had created. They landed for a moment on Goten, who panted with his strained effort. Trunks tried not to look guilty as he held the half naked girl against him. Bulma narrowed her eyes. "Trunks…" It came out a scolding sound, somewhat like that of a mother who had just caught her child with his hand in a cookie jar. Which was exactly what Bulma was thinking.

"Yes mom?" Trunks shifted Pan against him.

Bulma sighed. The child would never learn. "Who is that girl?"

"She is another Demi-Saiyan." Goten offered, in hopes of saving his Prince.

Ridged shock coursed through Bulma's body as she whispered. "Goku?" Bulma looked to Goten. The pain in her features made it very clear what she was thinking.

"No. This is the granddaughter of Kakkarot. She is my bother's child." Goten moved aside as Bulma made her way slowly over to where her son held Pan up.

"Gohan has a daughter?" Bulma felt the tears rising in her eyes as she studied the other woman. "But..." The voice was tiny and almost completely filled with disbelief. "But she is so big." Then to herself, she sighed, "Has it really been so long?" Little Gohan had only been five years old when she had left Earth for Planet Vegeta. She couldn't even imagine him now. Full grown, most probably a loving father and husband, like his father before him. It tore at her heart that Gohan would suffer the same fate as Goku and Chi-Chi had with Goten. It could not have been easy to hide this girl as long as they obviously had. But Bulma was worried; Vegeta would not be pleased by this sudden turn in events. "What are you planning for her?" She looked up at her son.

Trunks didn't really want to answer that question. He shuffled his feet and bit and took his time gathering the girl into his arms. "I plan to see what father decrees for her." Trunk knew better than to try to hide his plans from the Saiyan Queen. "If I can, I wish to keep her for myself. She is a Demi-Saiyan and could provide me with strong heirs for the royal blood line." Bulma's eyes darkened at her son's words. She was clearly not pleased.

All the anger in the world would not change a male Saiyan's mind once he chose his path. Bulma knew she was in no position to argue with her son about this. In fact she could already hear her mate gloating at the prospect of strong demi grandchildren. "He is waiting for you now." Bulma supplied. "Take her up there the way she is. I am sure Vegeta will be pleased to see how well his son manages to beat up a lone female." She turned on her heel and walked out of the room.

"She is angry." Trunks sucked in his breath. It had been a long time since he had seen his mother give anyone the cold shoulder, and then it had been his father. Trunks had yet to be on the receiving side, until now. "I didn't think about her reaction to this."

Goten shrugged "What's done is done. You should follow her advice though, and get Pan to your father before he grows impatient. He might even put Pan to death, just to spite you for making him wait so long already."

Trunks nodded "I doubt he would go that far." Trunks was still trying to think of ways to get back in his mother's good graces with out handing over his new slave. "I wonder what we should do with Marron?"

Goten laughed, seeing where Trunks' thoughts were leading him. "Leave her down here for awhile to get her good and ticked off sounds pretty good."

"Did you really have her in your pod?" Trunks lifted his eyebrows in curiosity.

Goten lowered his head and smirked over toward the rejuvenation tank. "Repeatedly, my lord."

Trunks shook his head and laughed "And you said I was a dog."

Pan felt her feet touch the ground. She rested one hand on Trunks chest and the other on against a nearby wall. After the growth of an appendage, she had never known she possessed, her balance was all messed up. "I am telling you for the last time!" She teetered, and felt his hands glide to her hips trying to steady her sway. "I don't think I can stand."

"This," Goten frowned at the pair beside him. "Will take time," He looked at the huge door that led into the throne room with a grimace. "and we don't have any of that."

"At least I am awake to see your King Vegeta." Pan tried to take a step and stumbled right back against the wall, Trunks guiding her. "You can't even be pleased with that." She grumbled. It didn't matter to them that her will was the only thing that kept her from crashing onto the floor.

"It will go over better if you let me carry her in there." Goten had not wanted to suggest this. He already knew the fall-out it would cause. "Trunks, you know this." Goten loomed over Pan and she lifted her chin to glare back. Trunks narrowed his eyes. He was back on Vegeta now. Carrying Pan around openly, publicly coddling her could easily be viewed as a weakness. The real problem here was he did not like the idea of anyone, even her own uncle and his most loyal friend, putting their hands on his property.

"Try to take another step, Pan." Trunks urged her. "You are a Saiyan! You can walk without help!"

The reminder of her new form set her hair on end. Pan hissed over her shoulder at him. "I may have a tail now, but that does not make me a Saiyan." She paused to look down at the offender waving around her legs. She disliked this entire tail thing, a fact she was going to make well known every instant she got the chance. Pan turned and put her back to the wall and rested. Collecting herself before taking two steps forward on her own.

"See!" Trunks moved in front of her and held his arms out to her, like she was a toddler taking her first steps. "I knew you could do it." Goten and Pan both shot him matching looks of annoyance. He straightened with a confused look. "What?"

Pan took a deep breath. There was nothing left to do, but try. Tentatively she took three more steps, two forward and one wobbly stride back. "I think it's safe to assume that I am never going to get any where like this."

Trunks gave a defeated sigh as he surveyed the situation once again. "Collect her Goten." He motioned Goten forward. "We have put this off as long as possible."

Goten reached over and in one fluid motion flipped Pan over his shoulder. This was not the way she imagined she would enter the presence of the great King Vegeta. Pan flinched, as each stride Goten took bore her a little closer to seasickness.

The huge, gem encrusted doors were opened by large Saiyan guards as they approached. The long throne room was immense. Pan stared in shock as she realized this room had the highest ceiling she had ever seen. Light poured from huge pillars and open skylights. Trunks and Goten made their way through the room toward the King. All others were moving to the exit. None dared to linger for fear of enraging their King and his heir. Trunks bowed a little to his father as he came to a stop. Goten dropped Pan to her feet and immediately knelt. He bowed his head and remained looking to the ground. Pan fell forward on to her hands and knees. Dizziness disabled her form rising. Some snide part of her wondered if the Saiyan King would view this as respect or see it as the inability it was.

Vegeta leaned forward on the throne and studied his heir. "How was your visit to Earth?" He moved his eyes to Pan. "Find something you liked there?" He smirked at the girl struggling to rise on trembling arms. Vegeta dismissed the young thing with a simple glance. If his son had chosen a woman the same as he did, there was no room to chastise him for it. Vegeta was very pleased with his Earth mate in most respects. The good of that far outweighed the bad.

"Father." Trunks swallowed hard. The hour of truth was upon them. It was no joke to say Pan's life was riding on how he delivered his news to his father. Saying the wrong thing now would most assuredly cause her demise. "This girl is a Demi-Saiyan. The only grand child of Kakkarot." Trunks replied.

Vegeta's eyes snapped to the girl as she rose to her knees. Pan's tail peeping out around her, as it thumped itself on the ground. Pan winced at each pounding thud. She was still unable to control its movements.

"I take it you have just restored her tail to her." The King stared at Pan taking in the information with surprising calm. To everyone's amazement Vegeta almost laughed at the girl predicament. "What do you have to say for yourself girl?" King Vegeta spoke sharply. "I warn you though be careful what you say. Your fate, as well as your planet's, depends on your answers."

Pan looked up, then immediately down to the floor as she considered his words. This was the great King Vegeta?? He was so, umm, short! She also looked out the side of her eyes to Goten, who just knelt there never lifting his head. Wondering just how much hair gel one man could possibly use?

Trunks reached down setting his hand in a firm and supportive grip on her shoulder. "You can speak to him now, Pan." He whispered quietly. Then he reached around her and lifted her up.

Pan swayed again. She was grateful that she was on her feet once more, since it stopped her tail from pounding on the floor. But now it thumped, almost happily, against Trunks' leg.

"I want to go home." Was all Pan could think to say.

Vegeta frowned. He sat there for a long moment before he jolted from the throne. He strode down to stand in front of her. Trunks was all that was keeping the girl on her feet. The dark eyes moved over her taking in slight details, waiting for some movement or gesture that would give a clue to her true thoughts. He lifted his hand to grab her chin.

Pan gasped. It was unpleasant to be looked over, like you were a nothing more than a bruised piece of fruit. In her present condition there was nothing she could do. If she insulted this man in any way her entire planet could be destroyed. Martyrdom really sucked

"What do you suggest we do with her, my son?" Vegeta turned his intense eyes to Trunks. "She seems comely enough, but the choice is up to you. You may pick her fate as I picked Goten's." Vegeta set his emotionless eyes back on Pan. He waited like that. It seemed to her as if he wanted to see the emotions he did not feel, playing out, in her darkened eyes.

"I want to take her as my personal slave." Trunks admitted quickly. Pan bit her lip and felt the involuntary grimace at his words. He had meant every word he had said earlier in his pod. It was a hard thing for Pan to swallow, the last glistening rays of freedom being snuffed out by the dark clouds of servitude. She made sure her eyes never wavered on King Vegeta's. She kept their eyes locked. If she could not fight back physically or verbally, at least let them see the rebellion in her soul.

Vegeta saw this. The girl was strong, but her place on this planet was set. Like Bulma before her, she would grow to accept it. "You already have Goten. Is he not serving you well enough?" Vegeta pressed. It became apparent to Pan, that King Vegeta wanted her to know exactly where she stood in this society. Then again, there was no way for him to know that Trunk had already taken the time to point it out to her.

"Goten can not perform the services I require from Pan." Trunks almost choked as he said the words.

Goten never looked up as he uttered loud enough for all to hear "Thank Kami for small favors!"

Pan watched a flicker of mirth cross the king's eyes at Goten's statement. She broke off the stare, to look at Trunks who bumped Goten's still kneeling form with his heel.

"What have you to say about this, Demi-Saiyan? Do you have anything else you would like to say before I make my decree?" Vegeta dropped his hold, and walked away from her, toward the throne; tossing back at her "Other than the fact you wish to go home." She was sure he had added that just to goad her.

Pan was about to speak, the devil be damned, when a bolt of pleasure shot up her back ripping all words from her mouth. She jerked her head down to see Trunk's tail gently encircling her own. She wanted to rage and scream, but the seductive petting was leaving her frozen. Worst of all, her tail still flicked back and forth against his leg of its own volition, unheeding of its master's wishes. She swore to herself that when she finally got control of the stupid thing it was going to stay tightly around her waist like Goten's, at all times!

Vegeta watch the girl struggling to speak. He was well aware of his son's actions. The boy had seen an opening and went for it. Now it was Vegeta's turn. He looked at the stunning creature before him. "I have decided to grant your request, Trunks." Vegeta sat down on the huge silver and gold plated throne and drummed his fingers on the arms. "But there will be a catch." Trunks gave an irritated snort and, Pan felt a glimmer of hope. "I am not getting any younger here, Trunks. I want to see your heir soon, and this gives me an opportunity I cannot resist." Vegeta felt almost evil as he said, "You have one earth year. If you cannot produce me your heir, by her, then I will grant her request and have her returned to earth. Until then she is yours."

Pan felt Trunks hands grip her arms. She could have sworn she heard him growl. She looked back to see the dark look on his face, as he glared straight ahead. What did he have to be angry about? His father had just handed her over to him for an entire year. Maybe longer if she became pregnant. No, that was not about to happen. Pan focused on her new goal, No Sex, no baby. It was as simple as that. She took a deep fortifying breath. The spicy scent of the Prince of Saiyans invaded her brain. His body pressed into her back. She felt the seductive stroking of his tail on her leg, as well as her rebellious one rubbing on his strong thighs. Her stomach clenched, and she cried out in her mind. Who are you trying to kid? Deny him sex? You're a virgin and you know its insanity. You are out of your mind, girl! She tried to block the voice of reason that mocked her. You can't even make yourself walk.

Vegeta silently patted himself on the back. Trunks was ready to pounce. Any leniency he was willing to show the girl was just thrown right out the window. The time limit had been an excellent idea. If Vegeta had been alone he would have actually chuckled at his masterful plan. In fact he still might. "You may all leave now, except you, Goten." The King granted his attention to the loyal Demi. "We need to speak in private."

Goten stood up and tried miserably to hide his shock. The King of Vegeta had never in his life seen Goten alone, not that Goten had not had his fair share of time with the man. Goten had always stood back and attended the Prince. He knew first hand that the King was a caring a attentive father to his children, and from all the privileges and gifts that had been rained down on him, to Goten as well. It was widely known that Goten was practically an adopted Prince, aside from lack of title, and for all that Goten was extremely grateful.

It didn't take Trunk very long to carry a weak legged Pan out of the throne room leaving him facing the King. There was no reason in his mind why the King would wish to see him, least of all alone. Had he done something wrong? Suddenly Goten didn't feel so well.

"Have I displeased you, your majesty?" Goten tried to sound brave. This man had practically raised him. Every moment of his life had been directed and controlled until recently by Vegeta's every thought.

"You have done something all right." Vegeta stood up glaring down at the dark haired warrior. Goten swallowed and awaited the blow. It never came. Instead he was left reeling by his king's words. "You have gained my respect. I know taking that girl from Kakkarot could not have been easy on you."

Goten remained emotionless. Actually, Goten hadn't even thought about it. He had no loyalty to his family. He only had loyalty to Prince Trunks and those Trunks deemed worthy. Still he would hear what The King had to say, "I am not worthy of such praise, your majesty."

"But you are. What I have told Trunks is true. I do desire to see my grandchildren and soon." Vegeta looked knowingly at Goten. "Princess Bra has expressed more than a passing concern for your welfare of late." Goten felt the breath being sucked from him. He knew Bra was determined, but to go to her father? "I believe it is time I allow you to seek her out. If you wish, you have my permission to court her."

Goten could merely stare at the turn of events. "The princess? Me?"

Vegeta looked down at the young Demi-Saiyan "And why not you? You are the most powerful warrior on this planet, and maybe the universe. You have noble roots, and come from the bloodline of this planet's greatest hero, Bardock. Also you're loyal to my family above anything." Vegeta walked over to Goten and laid a hand on the other man's shoulder. "I have raised you with every benefit I could offer to you. Now I would be honored to call you my son."

Thanks Bardockgurl ^_^ this is impossible with out you! To my readers I want to thank you for taking the time to read this.
