Chapter 23 - Change
Blizzard strode across a field with confidence in his step. Tossing the dragon ball into the air and catching it. What made these things so important to the humans of Earth? They were pretty, but as far as that, there was nothing else significant to this ball. He peered into the yellowish orange depths looking at the shining stars. Why was this made? How did they get those stars in there? He was so very lost in his musing that he failed to notice the fast approaching Ki.
"Blizzard, where have you been?" General Q landed by him. The Saiyan's angry features were mottled in rage. "I have searched half this damn planet for even a sign of you. I was beginning to think the humans here had done you in."
Blizzard laughed bitterly, "You think they could, and you would have not felt my ki as I fought?" There was disapproving glint that trailed over the Icejin's face. "This planet is not that big, my friend. You should try using your brain more often" He waved his finger at the dreaded Saiyan General as if he were nothing more then a naughty child.
Q snarled at the movement. He hated when Blizzard got this way/ He was to self assure, to confident in his action. That only left one course, and that was a slip on up the Icejins's part. Such a costly error in this high stakes game of life and death was simply not allowed. "You are missing my point." Grabbing Blizzards finger and shoving it away from his face, Q stepped closer with a menacing glower. "I have a plan here! And you need to get with it, or King Vegeta will have your black hide tacked to his wall. Do you want that?" Q felt a twinge of pride as blizzard visibly shook at the threat. "Blizzard, think! You are no longer a child. I can not keep covering up for you and careless your antics."
"My… antics?" Blizzard squeezed hard on the ball. He would have been surprise that the glowing sphere didn't crumble in his hand. That was if his mind was focused on it. Right now he was irked at Q's presumptions. "I am not the one on a murderous killing spree, or senselessly beating and brutalizing innocent children."
General Q seethed with his rage. It was clear that Blizzard was not going to let him live down that egregious error. It was like Gernerla Q was not already regretting the action he had taken against the Demi girl. If he had stayed calm and collected he would have finished her off. From Trunks attitude he could tell the woman yet lived. That was possibly the worst mistake he had ever made. He would be lucky if he could correct it before he got off this insufferable mud ball. "She was not a child nor was she innocent! She is the mate of Prince Trunks, and our enemy. If you don't start helping me out a little bit here, she is going to be the next Queen of Vegeta, and have the personal pleasure of seeing you executed." Q knew exactly what he was doing playing on Blizzards worst fears. It was becoming like a reparative drill. Order the Icejin and then bait him with his situation. What else could he do? If Blizzard didn't come around soon to Q's plan all this was for not. "Don't you get it, Blizzard? If we fail there will not be any more chances. This is, with out a doubt, a do or die mission. AM I MAKING MY SLEF CLEAR TO YOU YET?"
Blizzard yawned trying to play out am implication of uncaring. He didn't want to Q to know just how close his threats were hitting home. "That is the story of my life." Blizzard tossed out a bored look and yawned. Stretching he added, "I am use to this kind of pressure." He raised his dark eyes to the Saiyan General. He decided to go on the offensive for one and whispered, "I think you could be handling this a little better though."
"I can handle it." Q bristled some more under the taunt. The fact that he was unnerved was showing enough for the Icejin to take advance, and he didn't like it. Still Blizzard could be merely stating the obvious. Q swung around, not please that his emotions were, quite possibly, giving him away. When was the last time he had made such an error? He could not remember, and he did not want too. "I need to you to seek out Prince Trunks' mate and kill her. It appears she has survived."
Blizzard laughed, "You botched that one up. How could you have not noticed if she was dead or not? It's a sad day when the great Saiyan general Q can't even kill one helpless female." The teasing statement was the last straw on Q's fragile nerves. General Q's fist in Blizzards face was instantiations. It sent the Ice-jin fly back, Blizzard sliding in the soft soil of the earth. The Ice-jin was stunned by the sudden attack, but oddly not surprised. Blizzard set the ball down and wiped the blood from his mouth. Looking at his hand, Blizzard focused on the smear of color there. He raised his cold gaze ever so slowly; back to Q. the Saiyan panting with rage, his large shoulders heaving with barley retrained contempt. "What's wrong I hit a little to close to the mark there?"
Q pointed to Blizzard and then curled his hand back to his chest in a balled fist. The world around them almost so silent Blizzard could just about make out the sound of Q's grinding teeth. "Just go kill her, and be quick about it. I don't have all the time in the universe to be messing around with this one small detail." With that Q shot into the air and flew away. It was that or he was going to make another huge mistake. He wanted to beat the Ice-jin for his words, but right now he needed Blizzard to much. There was plenty of time later to decide just what to do with his diplomatic partner.
Blizzard sat there his wrist resting on his knees. Well wasn't this a quandary. Q had struck him. In all the time he had known the Saiyan he had never dared such a thing. Blizzard seriously doubted the General's sanity in this matter any more. The deed was to evil. And the cost was too great. Blizzard was use to living as the hunted, but Q obviously was not and he was growing fearful. They had come too far and done to much to back out now. Blizzard sighed. The Saiyan should have thought about that before he enlisted his aid for this mission.
"So its just as I thought, you are not working alone." The feminine voice drifted up from behind him and he turned to see a wind tousled Marron. She was barely standing as she faced him, her hand resting against the trunk of a tree, where she had obviously taken refuge during the skirmish. She stepped away and held out her hand. "I have come for my dragon ball." She swayed trying to move. "I will not..." stumbling forward "Not, leaving with out it."
Blizzard rose to his feet. "How did you follow me?" The fool girl, it was clear that she was spent. He could break her in half with a look and here she stood before him. "I am way to fast for you, girl. You should never have tried to follow me."
Marron dropped to her knees, and stared up at him trying to regain her breath. "You over estimate your skill." She studied the ground and pushed back up to her feet. For all the good it did her shaking body. "The fact I am here speaks for itself." Marron pressed on lifting her hand toward him, and opening her palm. "Give me that ball." Her tone was curt, her expression stormy. There was still fight left in those rampant blue eyes. Blizzard was shock to see such a display of sheer will power in such a tiny creature.
Blizzard walked over and dropped the ball in her up turned hand. "You have earned it." The words were quietly spoken.
Marron blinked and looked up at the being before her in complete shock and awe. "I thank you." Her shoulders slumped over in relief. Marron knew he was not going to harm her now. She let her guard drop and pulled over her pouch that contained the other balls.
Blizzard remained silent as she dropped it in her bag. Seeing the light pulsing with in it, he shook his head "What do they do? I am no threat to you, so just tell me." She looked at him with distrust still nipping at the corners of her expression. Blizzard was at a loss and stepped back. He crossed his arms and shuffled his feet before admitting. "It's the curiosity. It is eating me alive."
Marron debated, as she looked up and studied him. "Come with me." She came to her feet. "I need help getting back and when I have the other Z fighters to safely back me up I will tell you what you want to know."
Blizzard hesitated for a moment. The girl wavered before him and he reached out to steady her, before adding, "If I go there, they will kill me."
Marron reached out to touch his arm. It was the first time anyone had touched him by choice and not looked up at him with fear. "Not if you are with me." He wanted to believe her. Still a life of running and hiding was hard to dismiss. The uncertainty must have been clear because she dug her fingers into his arm almost bruiseingly and snarled. "Come on. There isn't much time."

Pan was growing uneasy; her family was fussing over her like she was a little lost kitten. No one said a word as to why. That in the most part was troubling her. It had never been the Son family's' way to harbor secrets from one another.
She had tried to ask about Trunks, but her grandfather had simply stated he was working on it. The tone he had used left little room for any more questions. Pan kept trying to reach Trunks with her mind, but he was completely blocking her now. She tapped her spoon against the empty bowl and looked around the room. Never in her life had it been so quiet here. Some thing was wrong terribly wrong. It sent a chill down her spine.

Trunks hung limp against his bonds. He looked at Q returning from where ever he had been. It was almost a relief to see the other man; just knowing he had not been left to starve to death against the damp cave's wall. The fact that Pan's ki was still strong and alive and Q had returned was also most assuring to Trunks. He lifted his head and stared with rebellion in his eyes.
Q muttered and kicked the ground. "Soon. I have sent my partner to take care of your mate. So don't look so cock sure. As soon as I hear your cries of suffering at losing your bond I will end your life. I am only letting you live so that you can endure the worst pain a Saiyan can. The breaking of a bond is the truest form of a living death.
Trunks closed his eyes and prayed for a miracle. It was then he heard Q shock gasp of befuddlement. Trunks eyes practically ripped open and he looked at the Saiyan General rushing to the mouth of the cave. The sky had completely black and there were high winds and lightening. This was something that neither Saiyan warrior nor Demi Prince had seen before. Trunks felt his jaw drop and wondered what was happening, if this was the end of the planet.
Q stood by the cave door staring at something in the distance. "It is huge! I have never seen… What is that thing?" As the great Saiyan General stepped back his entire being was engulfed in light. His body pulsed and soon appeared to be nothing but bright white light.
Trunks could only stare as Q dropped to the ground. When the light faded Q pushed up to hands and knees and looked over at the Saiyan Prince. At first Trunks shook his head in wonder, not daring to believe his eyes. Then a huge roar emerged from his chest as he laughed with great delight!
Q rose to his feet "Stop laughing! What are you laughing at! I should…" He clamped his hand over his mouth. That voice could not possibly be his. He looked down at his armor that now huge loosely to his once muscular form. With Trunks laughter echoing around him, Q screamed "WHAT IN THE NAME OF VEGETA HAVE THEY DONE TO ME!!!!!!!!!!"

Marron landed with the Dragon Balls, and ran up to Yamcha holding them out. He was standing just outside of the small house?
Yamcha looked up and smiled at the girl running over to him. Then his eyes glanced to what was behind her, and his body dropped into a fight stance. Grabbing the girls arm he shoved Marron behind his muscular form. Shielding her from any possible attacked, from the alien, which stared coldly at them both. Yamcha pinned the Ice-Jin with a look of curiosity and distrust. "Marron, what the hell is that thing?"
Blizzard crossed his arms and stared blankly forward. This was what he was use to, the fear, the chaos, and the disrespect. These were the gift given to him through out the galaxy. Other races hated him because he was the dreaded Ice-jin, remembered from legend. Or they feared the Saiyan retaliation that would come from harboring him. There was the occasional race that his mere appearance had swarmed terror in their streets, for reason they had left unknown to him It was going to be no different from what he had encountered all his life. Why had he even bothered to listen to the blonde haired girl? She had no idea what he was. It had been merely foolish hope on his part.
Marron looked over at Blizzard and then to Yamcha, aversion for her father's friend filtering into her features. "Chill out would you. He gave me the last Dragon Ball. I think he is a good guy."
"You think?" Yamcha was trembling as he sensed the incredible ki that the creature was generating. It was huge. He doubted that anyone here could even come close to countering the kind of power this monster was capable of off setting. "I think you may have been tricked Marron."
Marron slapped the back of Yamcha's head. "I am not a fool. Trust me. He can be most help full. He also knows who hurt Pan."
"Does he?" Gohan walked out of the house, with the other Z fighters at his back. "Was it a creature like him, or some one else he associates with?"
Marron shook her head, and put her hand up to stop the battle that was beginning to brew before her. "NO! It was a Saiyan. I saw him myself. He still has Trunks. He wanted Blizzard, here, to kill Pan but…"
Chichi and Videl gasped from their perspective in the doorway. Stepping in front of the confused and curious Pan. They shielded Pan from the other being's sight.
"How could you have lead him here if you knew that, Marron! are you crazy?" Krillin grabbed his daughter's arm. "You must have known better!"
Marron ripped away and dumped the balls on the ground. "He is not going to kill Pan. He just wanted to know what the Dragon Balls do. He could have killed me, but he didn't he gave me the last ball. All he wants in return is to see what they are used for."
Goku shook his head "That is to dangerous. If he knows how to use the Dragon Balls what will prevent him from gathering them again and using them for his own purposes?"
Blizzard stared at Goku and snarled, "You are the son of Bardock. I can tell you are a true-blooded Saiyan. It speaks for itself. The way you stand. The way you talk. You give your own intentions away with your words." The Ice-jin's tail slapped the ground ready to do battle. "Using those ball to your own advantage, that is exactly the way a Saiyan would think."
Goku step forward and his eyes pinned on Blizzard "I am N0T A SAIYAN! I was raised here. I am Goku and I am from Earth."
Blizzard clinched his fist and stepped forward as Goku had. "You have the proud words of a Saiyan! Deny what you are, but your every fiber screams to me that you are a Saiyan in the truest form! Your own father was the cause for the extinction of my race! I am the last of the Ice-Jin, thanks to your bloodline!
Goku stood up coming out of his fighting stance, and looked closely at Blizzard. The alien was seething in pain and anger. Goku's own distrust and fear was only causing to open the rift between them. He looked up and sighed, "I am sorry for your loss. I did not understand" Turning to Marron he nodded "Summon the Dragon."
Blizzard froze. He had wanted to know what these balls did. Now he felt a chill of fear. Saiyans were not to be trusted. Still this Saiyan had backed off with out a fight. Was it possible this Dragon would mean Blizzards own end?
Marron set her face in grim determination "All I have to think of is a proper fate for the one who hurt Pan!" she opened her hands over the pulsing balls and shouted "BY YOUR HOLY NAME DRAGON I SUMMON YOU FORTH! SHENLONG!"
The world rocked and Blizzard smirked as the realized the implication of the girl's words. Yes, when it was time he would make his move! Have his desire fulfilled. The dragon burst into the sky, the golden glow rising until the green scales of the dragon came into view and the Eternal Dragon then towered intimidating over them all.
"WHO has summoned me?" Shenlong roared in his deep rumbling voice. Every one was trembling or shacking before the awesome powers of the eternal dragon.
Marron bravely stepped forward "I did, Holy Dragon." Marron's hair was blowing behind her, sliver in the radiating light.
NAME YOUR WISH." ShenLong hover in the sky before her "But Beware for it will come true."
Marron's face darkened "I WISH THAT…."
Blizzard rushes forward and pushed through the warriors of Earth until he stood with his hand on Marron's shoulder. With out missing a beat he shouted, " I wish that the Great General Q of the Saiyan Armies be transformed into a woman" then with a smug smile and a bit of after thought her added "with a low power level!"
Marron fell back wards landing on her butt, and staring in horror was the dragon's eyes glowed brighter red and receded bat to the dark glow they were before. "Your wish has been granted. Now I bid you Farewell."
Blizzard turned to see a range of expression focused on him ranging from shock to surprise pretty much summed it up. He gave a bored look and wiped his hands together. "So do we rescue Prince Trunks now, or would you rather kill me first?'
***************************************************** *******************
Trunks was in hysterics. The woman before him was running her hands over her body with horrified amazement, her dark eyes pining on him in a rage. "This is not funny. What did they do? Change me back." She seethed with her rage stomping her feet like a spoiled child, "CHANGE ME BACK NOW!"
Each statement from Q only served to cause Trunks to hang weaker against his restrains. "I can't stop laughing." Trunks felt the tears falling down his face. He was sure he was going to pass out from lack of oxygen. Looking up he saw Q trying to push her thick back hair over her shoulder only to watch it fall back over her large eyes, and the laughter came again.
This was more horrible then anything Q had ever expected. Death was far preferable! Q was completely shocked by her new form. It was like standing in a pair of new boots. There was an extremely unpleasant feeling that was enveloping her. She swayed a bit and fell. Her center of balance moved from her shoulder to her hips. She braced her self up on her hands and knees. Staring down at her tiny hands as they contrasted against the dark floor of the cave. Trunks laughter was ringing in her ears. The world got blurry before her and she slumped down. Q groaned and did something she had sworn never to do. She fainted.
