Revolution of the Saiyans
Chapter Eight
Letting their fighter's instincts take over, the forces of Earth gathered at the Lookout.
Trunks was relieved to find Bra and his father safe.
"Your mother?" Vegeta asked, fearful, but outwardly cold.
"She and grandpa and grandma were down below in the labs…they are fine." Trunks glanced at his little sister. "She has begun work on a new Dragon radar."
Bra smiled, trying to keep her lower lip from trembling. "You and your temper." She mused.
Their short-lived moment of happiness was shattered as Goten's anguished cries broke through the air.
Grabbing onto his father, Goten cried. "No…."
Goku tried to comfort his son, as Gohan stood back not sure what to do either.
"My mom is working on the Dragon radar….we'll get the Dragonballs." Trunks said, trying to soothe his friend's pain.
Bra took off her backpack. "Look, we've still got three of them." She held the bag open slightly, letting the golden balls glow. "We'll bring your mom back."
"Not unless we are able to survive." A deep and husky voice said.
Everyone turned around to see Piccolo landing on the Tenka. "Piccolo!" Gohan shouted. "I'm so glad you're ok." He walked over to his long time sensei and best friend.
"Unless I'm mistaken, we are in for a challenge, the likes we have never seen." Piccolo said. He glanced over at Dende. "I received your message…..Saiyans? Are you sure?"
Dende nodded, having sent an urgent telepathic message to Piccolo shortly after the blast. "There was no time for us to react. Their ships were well hidden. But, yes, it is a group of Saiyans….from Vegeseti."
"How is that possible?" Vegeta barked loudly. "No one survived! The planet was destroyed by Frieze!"
"The reasoning I am not sure of." Dende said sternly. "But, as Guardian of Earth, I am certain of their origin. And the mission is clear as well, they are here to conquer Earth."
"Dear God….." Goku said. "How many are there?"
Dende was thoughtful. "The number on the ship is approximately five….but, I believe there are more….perhaps on another planet. I'm not certain. I've contacted the Supreme Kai for additional answers."
Both Goku and Vegeta were speechless. They looked at each other; an unspoken nod assured that they were once again on the same side.
"Saiyans?" Bra asked. "Maybe they can be convinced to join us here. Maybe we won't have to fight…" She was hoping beyond any hope and she knew it. Bra put her arm around Marron. Neither girl had ever experienced anything like this. Earth had been at peace, or as close as possible since the destruction of Cell some fifteen years ago.
"For now, we should find cover underground until we know how many there are." Piccolo suggested, but Vegeta would have no part of it.
"Like Hell I will run!" He yelled. "I am their rightful Prince……King! And if they have any memories of Vegeseti then I have a chance to bring them into the fold!"
"What?" Piccolo yelled back "Are you crazy? Like Nappa? Or Raditz?"
Vegeta glared at the Namek. "That was different! We were under Frieza's control! If these are true Saiyans from Vegeseti, then there is hope!"
"Vegeta…" Goku interrupted. "If they are willing to join us, peacefully, on Earth, then we will consider it. But, the signs are not looking good. Surely you don't want your children to grow up under tierney as you did with a tyrant like Frieza?"
"We can't stand back and let Earth be destroyed just so you can sit on your throne." Piccolo said hatefully. "If they are not willing to live in peace, then we have no choice."
Vegeta was seething with anger. "I won't let you take this from me." He said to everyone present. "But, I won't risk my children."
"Then we are agreed." Piccolo said, looking Vegeta directly in the eyes. "Now, let's figure out what we're going to do."

The ship landed on a large mountaintop. As the door opened, several tall and dark figures could be seen. One by one, the Saiyans exited the ship, swords dangling at their hips, their Saiyan armor shinning.
"Well, this isn't bad." Domia said. The youngest of the team walked over to a tree, touching the trunk. "This is like home…trees, flowers….not bad."
"We are not here to admire the foliage." Arello said hatefully. "You'd be doing well to watch your back, boy."
"That's enough." General Kelon said. "I believe finding the other Saiyans should take top priority. The other ships should arrive tomorrow, and we need to make sure the planet is secure."
"Yes, sir." Domia said.
"Yes, sir." Arello said also.
"From the readings, it looks like they are all in the same place…the one's, two', and three's.." Niekko said reading from his portable scouter. "The power levels are suppressed, but here should be no problem."
"Remember, kill no females." Kelon said.
"If we are lucky enough to find a pure breed female, the King will finally have his heir." Perrin reminded. "So, it would do good for us to be careful."
The five Saiyans took to the sky, the gentle breeze blowing their black and somewhat unruly hair. They were headed toward the Lookout.

Immediately, their power was felt.
"They are heading this way!" Piccolo shouted. "The Lookout and its Guardian must be protected or the Dragonballs will cease to exist." He reminded.
"You take Dende and Mr. Popo and hide them in the caves under the waterfall area." Goku suggested. "We'll handle these Saiyans."
Dende did not want to leave, but knew in order to perform his duties, staying alive was essential.
"Take the girls' with you." Vegeta said, before the Nameks left.
"Yes." Krillin said. "This is no place for you." He directed to his daughter.
Neither girl argued, but deep down Bra was cursing. If her father had taught her to fight, she would be able to stay.
Once the girls' and Dende were safely on their way to the caves, Vegeta, Goku, Trunks and Goten headed away from the Lookout, prepared for a fight.
