Chapter 3

Later that evening, in the cool, sunny evening hours before the sun began to set, Chi chi and Krillin were training in the park down the street from Chi chi's house. Krillin's grandpa was out of town and they needed to practice. As they stretched out they talked. They had been friends forever and knew each other better than anybody else, except their master.

"So what's this I hear about you crushing on Olympian?" Krillin asked.

"Who told you?" She asked in horror.

"Marian."

"Big mouth." She growled.

Krillin laughed. "Well let me save you a lot of trouble and tell you he isn't worth it." His face suddenly turning serious.

"How would you know?" Chi chi retorted.

"Remember back in Elementary school when everybody was friends and there was no such thing as a clique?"

"Yeah?"

"He was my best friend back then, but he was good at sports and I wasn't. He was picked first and I was picked last. Eventually he forgot about me completely and he doesn't even acknowledge me anymore." Krillin said sadly.

Chi chi frowned, realization leaving a bitter taste in her mouth. "Well regardless I don't have a chance with him either way. I'm a outcast and I'm not even allowed to harbor such thoughts about a prep." She mused sardonically. "Besides he doesn't really notice me."

"Well just for that he's crazy." Krillin smiled.

"Thanks, Krillin. Ready to spar?" She asked. With a nod they began to spar.

At the same time Goku and his friends were driving by. They saw the sparring match and stopped to watch from the street. "Would you look at that!" One of Goku's football friends said.

"They must be fighters!" "Look at that girl go!" They all jeered in awe.

"They go to our school." Goku added carefully watching them fight.

"No, really? I've never seen them before."

"What are you stupid or something? That girl is in our Public Speaking class!" Goku shouted in irriation at his friends' stupidity.

"Oh, well she's a fire cracker." He drooled as he watched the way Chi chi's body moved, nasty thoughts running through his mind.

"Ten bucks says she's like that in bed." They all laughed haughtily except Goku. He was a good guy and didn't find their durogatory comment funny in the slightest.

"Hey what's your problem Goku?"

"I just don't find that funny is all." Goku answered seriously.

"Oh please, mister honorable!" One of them mocked.

"He's just upset cause he's still a virgin."

"I don't understand Goku! You're a great guy by any female standards and you haven't been laid yet! Are you impotent or something!?" They all laughed again, at his expense. Goku had been very submissive to peer pressure for as long as he could remember. That was why he had forgotten Krillin, because his atheletic 'friends' didn't like him. Goku squirmed uncomfortably he didn't like being made fun of.

"No! I could have any girl in the school if I wanted too!" He defended himself.

His friends looked at each other mischieveiously and smirked. "Any one, huh?"

"Yeah... Any one." He stuttered nervously.

"Well if what you say is true and she does go to our school then why not her?" They motioned to Chi chi.

Goku's eyes shot open in horror. "What?"

"Yeah, I dare you to seduce that girl into your bed." One of his friends said pointing a meanacing finger into Goku's chest.

"But...I...I...can't." He stuttered.

"Oh come on. She's just an outcast. It's not like you'll be hurting any one from the A crowd's feelings." They began to egg him on and Goku was feeling pressured again. He knew it was wrong, but he didn't want to lose face in front of his friends.

"Fine." He agreed begrudgingly.

"Alright!" His friends cheered as they drove off.
