Sacrificing Love
Chapter Six:
"Stop thinking about her."
Vegeta rolled over in his bed. As much as he told himself, he knew he couldn't. Her image and her voice was imprinted in his head, and his mind wouldn't let him forget. She had felt so good in his arms, that for the moment he had wanted to do something more than just kissing her. If his mind told him to stop himself, then why was it replaying the moment over and over again?
Giving up trying to sleep in an empty bed, Vegeta threw off the covers and walked down the halls to his new gravity room. He had to train if he wanted to get his mind off of his loins. Vegeta pressed the button to actiivate it. He thought for a moment, then he turned the gravity up to two hundred.
After a few hours, the gravity started to decrease. Cursing, Vegeta walked back down the halls towards Bulma's room. Even though it was late, he still wanted the gravity room fixed. He stopped at her door and knocked.
He received no answer, so he opened it. Vegeta immediately saw Bulma sleep in her bed. Kami…he thought she was beautiful when she was awake. Her thick aqua lashes fluttered slightly when he drew near her. How could anything be so wonderful? Furious with himself for thinking that, he violently shook her awake.
Bulma's eyes shot open as she awakened. "What?" Her aquamarine eyes settled on Vegeta. "Prince Vegeta, what's wrong?"
"The gravity room needs to be repaired."
Bulma pulled the covers over her more tightly. "What, now?"
"Yes, woman. Why else would I come in here so late at night?"
"That was the question I had when you woke me." Bulma said as she ran a hand through her blue hair. There was a pause. "Do you mind? I don't necessarily wish to go down there without any clothes on."
Vegeta breathed in heavily and let out a sigh. That piece of information was not what he needed to hear. He cursed silently and turned to leave. "Two minutes, woman. No more, no less."
Two minutes later, Bulma looked over the remains of the gravity room. "Let me guess, you turned it up to full power, didn't you?" Vegeta said nothing as he crossed his arms. "Hmph. I thought so." She crossed the room to her tools. "I still have another generator that I didn't install, so if you want more that two hundred times gravity, then this little thing will do the trick."
"How much more?"
"Since this one is slightly better than the others, I would say at least up to four hundred." Bulma said as she unscrewed some of the bolts. It only took her a minute to replace the blown fuse and to install the new generator. "Now do not increase the gravity past three hundred until twenty four hours have passed." She stood and replaced the tools she had used. "There you go, Ouji-sama. If there isn't anything else, I'm going back to bed now." And with that, she turned and left.

"Lord Frieza, the ship is about to land."
"Execellent." Frieza siad as he prepared for his ship to touch ground. "I think I've gotten bored with the Saiyans. I rather feel like destroying something today."
Zarbon laughed. At long last, this Saiyan nonsense would end. He hated having to go out the way to land on Vegeta-sei. Now, at least there wouldn't be any planet to land on anymore. Zarbon knew that the Saiyans were attempting to rebel against his lord. He had also heard a silly story about some "legendary" being that would someday destroy Frieza. As if that would ever happen. No one had the power to defeat Frieza. It was either true alliance or rebellion with him. That was what separated the strong from the stupid. And the Saiyans were a stupid race-they didn't even have the potential to even scar his master, yet they were determined to boast that they were the strongest race in the universe, futher proving their stupidity.
Zarbon pushed the simple facts aside and focused on the fate of the insolent fools. They would pay for their mistake. Oh yes, they would pay…

King Vegeta stared at the messenger. "You say that Frieza is coming here in only a couple of moments?"
Letti nodded. His and Bardock's squad had spotted the spacecraft just minutes ago. "Yes, Ou-sama. That is correct."
For a moment, King Vegeta nearly went into a panic. If Frieza was coming now, then it would most likely would not be a civil event. "Summon my son." Letti nodded and turned to leave.
Bardock stepped forward. "Vegeta-ou, do you think that we will have to fight this time?"
King Vegeta glaced at the commander. Bardock seemed to think exactly like him sometimes. "I definently think so. Be on guard. The prince has been training all this time, I think we should put it to good use."
Bardock nodded and waited for the upcoming battle. He would need to be at his best in order to stand up to Frieza. He didn't think the prince could handle it all on his own.
The doors opened. There, stood the creature that had struck so much fear in the Saiyans. He had a malicous smirk on his pasty white face and laughing crimson eyes. Even his right hand man, a being by the name of Zarbon had a smile on his face. Bardock felt a growl rise in his throat. All he wanted to do was to wipe those smirks of their faces.
"`Morning Vegeta." Frieza said as he stepped towards the throne. "It's so nice to see you again."
"Hai, Lord Frieza. What do you wish of us today?"
Frieza turned around to glance at the guards. "Well, I was just telling Zarbon of how bored I was. Since I was in the neighborhood, I decided to drop by here." He looked over his shoulder. "I hope you don't mind."
`So he thinks that we're just his little playthings' King Vegeta thought. He already knew where this conversation was going. It was going to lead to mass anihilation. Where was his son?
"Anyway, I wanted to discuss the rumors of rebellion that are flying around this planet. Saiyans are know throughout the galaxy for their loyalty."
"And we live up to that reputation, Lord Frieza."
Frieza crossed his arms and chuckled softly. "If it were any other time, I would believe you, King Vegeta. But the events that have been ocurring have proven otherwise. The attempt on my artilery ship, these little rumors of resistance, and then there's this fairytale of a `legend' coming to destroy me." His chuckle became louder. "Silly monkeys. But, I have to say, it was fun while it lasted. Hmph. Pity I have to destroy you now." The lizard rose a hand.
Bardock materialized in front of Frieza. The other guards in the room soon fell in formation, guarding the king with their lives. Bardock readied himself for any upcoming blows.
"Hah, your race does have courage. I'll give you that." Frieza smiled and directed an energy blast to Bardock.
Bardock blocked, using his arms to keep it away from the Saiyan king. Jumping, he dematerialized and materialized to deliver a kick to Frieza's head. Frieza grabbed his foot. Bardock used that moment to dip downwards, sending his other foot to kick Frieza in his jaw. As Frieza was recovering, he spun back upwards to give him a ki blast in his stomach. sending Frieza a couple feet away.
Frieza paused for a second, and reached up to examine the blood dripping down his jaw. It was his, he realized. "Nice move. Too bad you're going to die for it. I'm tired of playing now." Frieza said as he dematerialized.
Bardock waited for a moment. He couldn't sense Frieza anywhere. He turned around to continue his search when Frieza came up behind him and sent a blast through his chest. Bardock was sent halfway across the room. The sound of his lifeless body hitting the floor was heard throughout the room.
Frieza landed and laughed. "You know, I think my curiousity is sparked now. I want to see how strong this `legendary' is-if he exists, that is." He turned to the king, whose face was blanched. "I shall be back in a couple of weeks, King Vegeta, and if no Saiyan can give me a challenge, I will lay this planet to dust." Frieza turned and left, laughing at Bardock's body as he passed.
There was a pause. "Take Bardock's body to be prepared for his funeral." the king said in a soft tone. The soldiers complied, and started towards Bardock. The doors reopened, and everybody tensed. The prince strode in along with his personal guard. Bardock's son.
Kakarrot stared at the body of his father. "W-what…?" he stammered.
"Kakarrot, Frieza came in here and they fought. Frieza was going to destroy the planet." King Vegeta's eyes softened for a moment towards the guard. "He fought valiantly."
But Kakarrot had tuned out to every thing that the king had said after the word "Frieza". The rage built up inside of him, and all he could do to let it out was scream at the top of his lungs. His aura flared immensely, scaring the others in the room to take a step back.
"What the…" King Vegeta started as he watched Kakarrot's hair turn from ebony to gold.
"No," Vegeta said in disbelief. "He…can't be!"
