Author's Note: Sorry it took so long people!!! I'm lazy and I didn't get around to it, but once I start something I usually finish it (Writing wise that is...Kami knows my mother wishes I was the same way with my homework and cleaning my room ^^;; heh...) so don't worry!! I intend to finish this story, and make it a damn good one too!
Disclaimer: Okay, if you have read any of my stories before, you notice that I usually don't really make disclaimer statements cause everybody already knows I don't own it! I never did, and sadly, doubt I ever will. Unless...*dreams of Akira giving her all the copyrights and everything*...*snaps out of it* Um...uhh...hi!! Uh...yeah...*sweatdrops* Well...on with the story!!! ^^;; Enjoy!!

About a year had gone by after the little "training session" with Trunks. That day when she had finally reached her long term goal; she had finally turned into a Super Saiyajin. The result had came out of her losing her virginity to her new found lover. Who had known she would've finally gotten him as hers? Pan knew she had feelings for him, ever since she was just a care-free teenager, but she had just thought that was a little crush she had. This was love. The best part of it was, he felt the same way back. He loved her too. Pan lay there on her bed, in her own small apartment just off the edge of town, gazing out at the window at the starry night sky. She only had one thought on her mind.
"Trunks..." she sighed.
Pan's life had been going great. She had finally gotten her own little place so her parents didn't have to babysit her, had a good job working as an designer for clothes. For now, she was fine working for companies who were in need of her talents, who needed her ideas for their own line of clothing. She thought maybe later on in the future she would start her own business, but for now, she was content. Pan was getting paid good money too! She had it made, she got paid to do something you enjoyed doing, which to her was really cool.
The only thing that bothered Pan about her life was Trunks. After a little over a year of them both seeing eachother, they had kept their relationship as a secret. They both thought at first it was best, with the 14 year age difference between the two Saiyans, but now Pan was having doubts. She wanted everybody to know she cared about the handsome lavander haired President of Capsule Corporation!! She wanted to express her love to the world!! But Pan knew she wouldn't get much encouragement from her father, and poor Trunks! With Vegeta as a father...well, lets just say he would probably take it the hardest, seeing as how they were mixing the blood of the Royal Saiyajins with low class Saiyajin Warrior blood, none the less the granddaughter of his long-time "enemy", Kakarrot with the mighty prince's own son. The funny thing was too, she still hadn't shown anybody her new found power. Nobody knew she could turn into a Super Saiyan yet...the right moment hadn't come up. She wanted it to be the perfect timing.
Pan rolled over onto her side. She couldn't sleep! It was already 2:30 in the morning. She HAD to get some sleep. She had a big assignment for Bridal Gowns magazine, and drawing wedding gowns was quite difficult, especially with all the detail and everything you have to put into it to make it elegant. Pan closed her eyes and lay there under her covers for a bit. 5 minutes tops passed by. She shot her eyes open. She still couldn't get to sleep! She had so much on her mind, one thing was the project she had to work on the next day, the other was about Trunks, and next week was going to be her 21st birthday! Every thought was keeping her up, so she decided to take some knock-out pills. Within a few minutes, she was fast asleep.
* * *
A few days went by. The wedding gown project was going pretty well so far, she had made some adjustments to the dress she was designing, adding a little more lace to the corset of the dress...maybe a veil sash as the sleeves...
"No...no wait...that doesn't look good...maybe if I added a little something here...no, no that's not right! ARG!!"
She sat there at her working desk staring out the window, looking at the clouds, trying to find some inspiration. Right now Pan was experiencing a "designers block". There was a loud, annoying growl coming from her stomach. The dark haired Saiyan looked over at the clock. 1:00 PM. No wonder she was hungry!! She had gotten up late and rushed out of the house without eating breakfast. That was 6 hours ago. She was starving. Just then there came a knock at the door to her office.
"Ya, come in," she called out behind her, not bothering to get her focus off of the drawn-out dress on the piece of paper lying out in front of her. Suddenly she felt a light, soft kiss on her cheek. She turned around and smiled happily.
"Trunks!" Pan got up from the chair and kissed him sweetly on the lips, hugging him. "Hi!! What are you doing here?"
"What, I'm not allowed to stop in and say hi to my girlfriend every now and then?" He smiled. Pan smiled back.
"I thought you were working late today?"
"Well it just so happens the meeting I had to go to was cancelled. Something to do with the President of Tech Industries having to go to the hospital. His wife was in labor."
"Oh!! He's gonna be a daddy! How cute..." Pan giggled, looking at Trunks. She couldn't help but blush at that moment. A baby. She'd like to have one of those...
Trunks tilted his head a bit, seeing the faded shade of red spread across her cheeks. "What's wrong with you? Did I say something to cause a reaction like that?"
Pan suddenly snapped out of it and shook her head. "Uh, no, no, it's nothing." She sat down at her desk and let out a sigh. She stared at the dress design. Trunks looked over her shoulder at it.
"Hey, new project? I like! It's looking really good so far Pan-chan."
Pan smirked. She had began to allow him to call her that again. It was kinda just a lovey-dovey pet name now. The fact she didn't allow him to call her it before was because she thought him calling her that meant he still looked at her as a child. They both knew that that was DEFINATELY not what he thought of her now, so now the nickname didn't bother her so much.
"Thanks. I'm kinda having a mental block right now though..." Just at that moment her stomach growled. Trunks jumped back. Pan sweatdropped. "Er...yeah, I think my hunger might be the problem..."
Trunks chuckled. "Yeah, your Goku's granddaughter all right. Come on, I'll take you out to lunch. I haven't eaten anything yet either."
"Okay," she smiled brightly, and walked out of the work office.
* * *
After a few dishes of full main course meals enough to fill about 15 people, Trunks and Pan were stuffed. The fact that all through their meal they were stared at by everyone around them didn't bother them much, they were used to it. After all, mere humans such as themselves (Besides their friends such as Krillin, Yamcha, etc.) didn't know how much a Saiyajin could eat. They sat back in their seats, fully content. After a few minutes of sighs and letting the food settle down, Pan started up a conversation that she had been wanting to talk to Trunks about for a while.
"Um, Trunks? I've sorta been wanting to talk to you for a while about something important..."
"Yes? What is it Pan? I'm all ears," Trunks sat up in his seat, his soft blue eyes on Pan, listening closely.
"Well, um, it's just that, we've been going out for a while now, right?" She looked up at him for a response. He nodded.
"Right."
"And...We've kept this a secret from all of our family and friends too, right?" Pan looked up again to see Trunks nod again.
"Yeah, and with good reason too I might add." Trunks leaned back in his chair again. "If my father or your father knew, I think we'd be forbidden to see eachother ever again."
Pan stopped for a brief moment and looked up at Trunks. She sighed. She didn't want to get Trunks in trouble with his father, or her own father for that matter. Trunks saw the expression on her face.
"I'm sorry Pan, I didn't mean to cut you off, continue. What's so important?"
"It's nothing, really Trunks." She looked down. "Nothing."
"Are you sure, Pan-chan?" Pan looked up and smiled a bit.
"Yes Trunks, I'm sure." Trunks smiled. Pan couldn't help but smile back. Pan thought for a minute. Well, so what if they kept their relationship a secret still? As long as the handsome man sitting across from her loved her for the rest of eternity, it didn't really matter.
"Well, okay then, I wish I could stay and talk more Pan love, but I really gotta go. My mom's gonna kill me if my stupid secretary rats on me again for coming back to work late from lunch. I have a good mind to fire that bitch..."
Pan laughed. He acted like such a child! Here he was, a man of 34 years and he still was controlled by his mommy. "Okay, then I guess I'll see you later, I have to get back to work myself anyway. You're coming to my birthday, right?" Pan asked Trunks as she got up from her seat and took her coat, walking towards to door with him.
Trunks smiled gently at his dark-haired Saiyajin Angel as he held the door open for her. "Of course I'm coming! I wouldn't miss your birthday for all the money in the world."
Pan couldn't help but make a crack at that one. "Not that it matters Trunks dear, you already own most of that money anyway." She chuckled when she saw the expression on his face.
"Haha, very funny."
* * *
Back at her job, Pan continued trying to design the wedding gown. So far so good, that lunch really did the trick. Pan for some reason could never concentrate on an empty stomach. She shrugged. Must've been something to do with the Saiyajin blood, after all, you fight better too if you're not hungry. Pan looked over at the clock. 5:00 already? She wasn't complaining, she was getting really tired and wanted to go home anyway. Luckily her boss was kind enough to let her bring the project to and from work, allowing her to do some work at home. Pan was thinking about taking some time off of work right when her birthday came along. She sighed. 21 already, wow! Seems like just yesterday she was still 14 years old and gathering up the Black Star Dragonballs with her chibi-sized Grandpa Goku and Trunks. She gathered up all her things and headed out the door to her car.
The dark-haired Saiyajin beauty stared blankly at the road as she drove home. Something didn't feel quite right. They loved eachother! Why couldn't she tell everybody about them? I mean, what if they got married someday? It just wasn't fair...Stupid Vegeta and his damn Saiyajin Prince pride. Stupid father, always being over protective of her. Pan blinked. Stupid father? Had she just called her father, Son Gohan, the man that she looked up to and loved dearly, stupid? Well...he did tend to get annoying sometimes. Like that time she was at the high school prom with her date, Mike, that cute exchange student from the US, and then her father bursting in on them when he was dropping her off to say goodnight. He was just about to give her a goodnight kiss when Gohan flew out of the window in his full-powered SSJ2 form and had just about scared the living shit out of the poor kid!! The next day afterwards, Mike was out of school, a few days went by, still no Mike, and later on Pan only found out that he had gone back to the US early; something about a family matter, but Pan knew better. Her father had scared him away...She was 17! Even then, she wasn't a little girl anymore! Damn him and his over-active short-fuse temper...
"Still..." Pan thought to herself as she drove up to her apartment building, "It's not so bad. I mean, like I told myself before, he loves me and that's all that matters. Right?" She sighed as she headed up the stairs and into her apartment, closing the door behind her and flopping down onto her couch.
"I wonder," She said to herself outloud, "But what if...the reason he is keeping this a secret is because...he isn't planning on being with me forever?"
Pan sighed, then placed her hands to a certain spot on her neck covered by the collar of her shirt. She pulled the material away, looking down at that particular spot. The mark. The teeth mark that had perminantly left a scar on Pan's body as a symbol of Trunks and herself being mates. It didn't fade away.
Pan thought back to when her mother was having a talk with her about the Saiyajin Mating habits...
*Flashback*
"Pan, dear, erm...I was wondering if maybe you and I could discuss something?" Videl looked at Pan from the doorway of Pan's room. Pan, 18 at the time, was lying on her bed, looking over her collage application forms.
"Sure mom, come on in."
Videl slowly closed the door behind her and sat besides Pan on the bed.
"Well, Pan, I was just about thinking that, well, with you 18 and all, and going to collage, it might be time for me and you to talk about...things...mother to daughter..."
Pan couldn't help but stiffle a laugh. She smirked. "Mom, I already know all about the birds and the bees, so you don't have to worry about anything."
Videl chuckled a bit. "Yes, yes dear, I'm sure that you already know all about that. But, what I was concerned about talking to you about was...well, certain things that might occur during those certain activities you might ingage in...about your heritage, Pan."
Pan blinked. "What does my heritage have anything to do with sex?"
Videl cleared her throat. "Well, you being a Saiyan and all, there are some things I thought you should know about that might happen..."
And so the conversation went on like that for a good hour or so, Videl explaining to her daughter all about the bonding between a Saiyajin and their mate, about how if the mark of the mate doesn't fade away, it's true love and they are soul mates, about how they might experience certain things that might seem odd to them...
*End Flashback*
But what Pan didn't understand was, her mother said something about odd things occuring. Nothing really odd had happened, well, nothing after they had marked one another while they were making love. What was supposed to happen?
