Chapter 6

The next morning I begrudgingly rose from my bed and headed to the kitchen to get something to eat before my cession in the gravity room. My stomach was full of butterflies, but I was just as excited as I was nervous. I may not have been a true blue saiyan, but I had the love for martial arts to pull it off.

In the kitchen there was only Nappa munching on some bacon and eggs. He gave me a dirty look as I rummaged the cupboard.

“Good morning Nappa.” I said congenially trying to hold back my smirk as I thought back to how I had punched him yesterday rendering him completely helpless.

He grunted in response. Nothing was said as we both ate our meals I finished quickly and headed off to the gravity room. As I walked out the doorway I heard a faint chuckle and a whisper of, “Don't get crushed in there bitch.” I didn't bother to turn around, but shouted back.

“Fuck you Nappa.” I was delighted when I heard him choke on his food. I guess he didn't think I could hear.

I found Turles and Radditz already training in the gravity chamber and they turned it off when I entered. Radditz gave me a hard accusing stare and Turles gave me a cruel smirk. `These are two teachers I never wanted.'

“So do you have gravity chambers in your dimension?” Turles asked.

I shook my head, we had anti gravity chambers, but no one in their right mind wanted to increase gravity, hell I had trouble with the normal gravity.

Turles sighed and glanced at Radditz who glared at him and shook his head. He looked annoyed. `What have you dragged me into? It's obvious she's a green horn.' Radditz said telepathically.

Turles snorted and glared back at him. `Shut up.' Turles strolled over to the console and threw an evil smirk at me over his shoulder. “Well prepare yourself because you are about to.”

I sensed what he was going to do before he did it so in preparation I bent my knees and it helped to stay me from an embarrassing fall on my face as he increased the gravity by up to ten. It was nothing to them, but I felt the pull. Surprisingly it was not as hard as I had expected. `Wow I must have developed saiyan endurance over night.' I took a few slow steps and looked up at my teachers with a smirk. Their faces remained unreadable then I heard Turles press down on the keypad to make the gravity go higher. I felt it pulling on me more. I was still slightly able to move, but only slightly.

Radditz noticed this. “That's pathetic, only 50 times normal gravity and you can barely move.”

I frowned at him but I knew he was right, for a saiyan that was pretty sad. I glanced at the ground. “I know.” I mumbled. Before any more words could be exchanged I got into a stance as best I could and began punching and kicking under the heavy gravity. Radditz and Turles raised an eyebrow at my determination even in the eyes of abject humiliation. They watched my labored movements for a while before leaving to do their own training.

I trained hard all day. I worked and worked until I finally collapsed from exhaustion. I had been in the gravity chamber for 6 hours when Turles came back to check on me. He saw me sprawled out on the floor of the gravity chamber and his heart skipped a beat, he rushed to me and checked my pulse. He sighed in relief. `Thank goodness. I thought the gravity might have smothered her.'

Turles sighed and looked around, sensing, making sure none of the others were around as he picked me up bridal style and carried me to my room. As he did I mumbled and curled into his warm solid chest. Turles stiffened as my matted hair brushed his bicep. He had never held a woman, just held her. It felt, dare he think it comforting. He placed me in my bed and stared at me for a few moments. He watched my face contort into different emotions as I slept my mind obviously somewhere else in dream land. He brushed a strand of hair out of my face. My hair was matted with sweat from training, but it felt soft on his battle hardened hands.

He continued to touch my hair and stare at me until his conscious mind returned and he pulled back. `What am I doing?!' He shook his head and started to leave. As his hand grasped the door knob he heard me murmuring in my sleep, something I often do, “thank you Turles.”

He stopped and turned his head back and smiled at my sleeping form. “Your welcome, girl.” He said as he closed the door and headed to his own room confused about his feelings for the first time in his life.

The next morning I awoke unprompted to wonder how I had gotten to my bed. I didn't think much of it and immediately went back to the gravity chamber and trained to the best of my ability until I passed out once more and Turles returned me to my bed. This was the norm for five days. Even when the others came over for group training I was already engrossed in my gravity chamber training. Some days they would just watch me and others they would leave me to my own devices and train on their own.

None of them could deny that I was improving and even Vegeta was impressed by my resilience.

Finally after days of training on my own and no contact with the other saiyans they decided it was time to bring me out of my self created seclusion.

Vegeta stormed into the gravity room effectively turning it off. I looked up at him surprised by the interruption. “That's enough you have been in here long enough its time you came out and demonstrated your new skills.” He shouted grumpily.

`If that's not the pot calling the kettle black?' I thought since I knew of Vegeta's own training seclusion.

Goku came in right behind him and grinned at me. “Come on Holly, it'll be fun to see how far you've come in the last few days!” He said cheerily trying to convince me to go train with them.

His innocent smile was enough for me and I soon joined the others out on the field.

Vegeta gave her a hard look before he spoke. “Now to measure your improvement you will fight each of us starting with the weakest and working your way up until you lose.”

I nodded determined to do my best; I would not allow myself to worry or to fail.

“Radditz!” Vegeta shouted. “You first.”

Radditz snarled at the reference to his being the weakest. He was far more experienced than any of the half breeds, but his power levels were lower.

“Let's go!” He growled dropping into a fighting stance. I did the same and waited. I had always successfully used the strategy of out doing my opponent's patience. After what seemed like an eternity of nothing Radditz let out a roar and charged. I only blinked at the loud noise and dodged his rapid attack with recently acquired speed. He made a quick correction and I blocked furiously while at the same time finding moments to give covert hits. They were small, but numerous and when Radditz finally hit me it knocked me off balance, but he had more damage. So I shook off the blow and pulled one of my famous `kamikaze' attacks and went flying head butt style straight into him with a roar as he flew back to into a cliff and crumbled with the rock to the ground. After a few moments he didn't rise to fight back and Gohan flew over to make sure he was alright. “He's fine!” Gohan shouted and Goten and Trunks cheered me.

“YEAH! Nice job Holly.” I smiled and inclined my head in thanks. Radditz came awake and shook dust and rubble from his long mane. I waved at him and gave him a silly grin feeling much more confident in myself than I had in the past days I had spent in this world.

He shot a glance at Turles and telepathically sent him, `She certainly is determined now!' Turles chuckled as he stared at my grin. `That she is.'

Goku laughed as well. “See that Vegeta! She has gotten better in the space of a few days!”

Vegeta nodded. “Yes her speed and strength have increased ten fold and we haven't even seen any of her power level increase yet.”

Gohan and Radditz returned to the others and Vegeta shouted for Nappa to challenge me next.

Nappa gave a dark chuckle and cracked his knuckles. “This should be fun.”

He unlike Radditz didn't wait to attack he immediately charged I had to jump up to miss his bulky body block. I flipped over his back and came soaring back down feet prepared to crush down on his back. I hit him straight on, but he didn't even flinch. He turned his head to laugh at my stunned expression. “Nice try!” He shouted as he put his fist together and pulled straight up bashing me skyward.

I did several summersaults through the air before righting myself and cracking my neck. “Close, but no cigarillo.” I said as I shot to the ground. Nappa watched me speed head first for the ground a few yards off and braced himself for a quick correction directed at himself.

It was like I was playing chicken with the ground and I allowed myself to hit, arms bearing the blow and pushing me at max speed sideways driving straight through Nappa's legs. He tumbled to the ground for being too top heavy. I flipped myself back landing on his chest as he hit the ground. I began to pummel his face with his arms and body securely locked to the ground by my awesome thigh muscles.

When his nose was bleeding and he no longer struggled back. I held my fists and asked. “Do you yield?”

“Yes.” He garbled unintelligibly before I jumped off him and dusted off my hands.

“Wow.” Trunks said astonished. Given Nappa wasn't the most powerful of them, but he often won by his brute strength alone and he was just bested. It was quite astounding.

“The girls got skillz!” Goten shouted with a famous Son grin. I flew over to them and bowed.
“Thank you! My powers are the only think lacking as you can see I am fully trained to fight.” I smiled and put my hands on my hips. I had been a martial artist for almost six years and thank god for that.

“Well we'll see how that skill holds up against me.” Turles said stepping up. “I'm your next opponent.”

I nodded and Turles held out his arm signaling for me to go first. I flew to the battle field and got in my stance he followed and within the space of three breathes he had gained his stance and attacked me. I was taken aback by his speed and all I could do was block at the moment, when I finally regained my control I faked him out I started for his head and when he blocked I switched fists and got him in the abdomen. He lost his air for a moment and I swung a round house kick for his head, but he regained himself quick by transforming into a super saiyan and blocking my foot.

The minute I saw his turquoise eyes I knew I was toast. He turned his block into a grab and grabbed my leg swinging me around and letting me go so fast I couldn't stop myself and skidded across the ground creating a hole several yards off.

Turles changed back to normal and stared as I lay in the hole trying to catch my breath. Gohan, Trunks, and Goten came over to check on me and I sat up and fumbled my way out of the hole. “Are you alright?” Gohan asked.

“Fine.” I mumbled shaking the dirt from my hair.

“That was unfair Turles!” Goten shouted. “Holly can't transform!”

Turles just stared emotionlessly at me. “Maybe, but no one said I couldn't transform.”

I huffed at the technicality and stood up. “I guess that proves I still need some work huh?”

Trunks put his hand on my shoulder. “Yeah, but you're doing great and we can help you.”

“Thanks Trunks.” I said with a smile.

Turles watched Trunks put his hand on me and he inwardly cringed. A foreign part of him growled out, `Don't touch her!' but he shook it off and turned back to the others.
