Part four
I've had a reviewer if this is going to be a g/cc fic? Well, all I can say is yes and no. You'll see. This is going to be a long story. It'd be done faster if I could write it out the way I picture it in my head.
Thanks to Everyone who has reviewed.
Continued from part three…
At that our hero got up extended his hand to assist the young lady out of her seat. "Follow me and I'll introduce you to everyone," says Son Goku. He turned and crossed the establishment once again. This time not so nervous and with a pleasant looking lady by his side but she was a few steps back. They arrive at the table and the conversation comes to an end. "Well, introduce us Goku," says Chi Chi . Introductions went from left to right starting with ChiChi, Vegeta, Gohan, Bulma, and Videl. She bowed to everyone after the introductions but would not look the men in the eye. This made them wonder what was up with that? The conversation started again this time about two teenage boys. They all seemed to notice that Miranda would no talk unless asked a direct question. All of them thought it was just because she didn't know the topic of conversation or she didn't know them well enough to feel comfortable talking. Which ever it was they thought that by nights end she would just fit right in. By the nights end that was not the case and she still only spoke when spoken to. Goku wondered why she had talked so easily before? He'd ask her tomorrow he concluded.
The night came to a close, as all nights must. Goku, ChiChi, Bulma, Vegeta, and Gohan all said, "See you tomorrow," to Miranda in their own ways. Then Goku took everyone home.
At the home of Bulma and Vegeta, the conversation was basically one-sided. "Can you believe Goku is going to have a second wife? I mean, how is Chi Chi going to handle it? Sharing her husband? Oh man! What if Goku's expected to consummate the marriage? He barely understood it when he and Chi Chi got married? Should we throw them a party? Yes, I think we should just to welcome her to the group," Bulma rattled off like it was the end of the world.
"Woman, are you done babbling? You're right, she should be welcomed. Let them worry about the rest of it. Now come to bed. We have a wedding to attend tomorrow." Vegeta said trying to calm his wife so he could get some rest.
Bulma just stood and gawked. "You're right. I have to call the caterers first thing! And pick out an outfit appropriate for a wedding. It's too bad I don't have time to shop for a new outfit."
"Will you just shut up and turn off the lights! I want to get some sleep. Go downstairs if you must continue this ranting!"
Having finally gotten into her bedclothes, "I know you're right," she climbs into bed, kisses his cheek, puts her head in the crook of his arm & chest, "Goodnight."
Across the field from Goku and Chi Chi's house another couple is having a different conversation about the same subject.
"How could he betray her like that? And she's letting him! She's stuck by him through thick and thin! She's actually encouraging him! Surely this girl's life can't be worth her happiness! What were they thinking?" Screams Gohan.
"Gohan!" consoles Videl, "calm down. Please. I am sure your mother and father each have their own reasons for what is happening. And since neither of them has a problem with this, I think it only right that we stand behind them. Show them that we're there for them. No matter what. Okay?"
"You're right, of course. Just Mom's been through so much. I'm worried for her." Say Gohan with a worried lost puppy look on his face.
"I know now go to sleep."
"Goodnight, sweetheart."
"Goodnight, my husband."
At the house where all of this fret and worry is for, we find also getting ready for bed and talking about the next day's events.
"Goku, what's wrong?" asked Chi Chi.
"Nothing. Just a little nervous." States Goku.
"About?" urges Chi Chi.
"Oh, you know, everything. Like, how is Goten going to react? How is she going to handle me being an alien? How will you adjust to having another woman in the house? How far am I expected to be her husband? Will she expect me to be intimate with her on our wedding night? Or anytime thereafter? What does her father expect from me as her husband? What are her duties as my second wife?" babbles Goku, trying to convey the confusion that has befallen him and his family.
"Oi, you're giving me a headache!"
"You asked, I answered," says Goku while shrugging his shoulders.
"I know, it's just a lot to think about right now. We'll deal with everything as it comes. Like we always do. Now, help me choose a dress to wear."
"Wear the white one with the flowers. I love the way you look in that one."
"Should I wear my hair up or down?" she asks as she plays with her hair.
He skooches behind her and wraps his arms around her. "Definitely down," he says as he inhales the scent of her hair, "I love to be able to run my fingers through it."
"Then I'll wear it up. Tomorrow is her day. I won't upstage her. After all, we're only a bride once," she states.
"I love you, wife."
"I love you too, husband."
And they spoon together and fall asleep.
Well, here's this part.
And as always, remember I own no part of DB/Z/GT. Except my video and DVD's of course.
