Vex breathed in deeply and slowly opened her eyes. The first thing she noticed was that the rain had stopped and birds had come out to chirp and sing. The next thing she noticed were muscular arms wrapped gently around her.

Slowly she sat up, pushing against the body she had been sleeping against. Cell had his head down and it looked like he was sleeping. Vex didn't want to wake him so she quietly untangled his arms from her and placed them in his lap. Then she got up and walked down to the mouth of the cave.

Vex looked on in awe at how beautiful the morning was. Warm, bright rays produced from the sun shone down everywhere, making everything sparkle and glisten from the last night's rain. She heard a shuffle and was soon greeted by Cell.

He stood at the side of her, watching her. She had calmed down and seemed to be in a rather happy mood. `Amazing how the female mind works… ' he thought to himself in wonder. Vex turned to him and he saw, for the very first time, a small smile.

It radiated all the way up to her ocean blue eyes. Cell smirked and stated boldly, "You have a pretty smile Vex. It's a pity you don't show it often." That got a frown and glare out of her.

`Yes, so very amazing. One minute she's happy the next she's giving me the impression that she wants to strangle me. I really should watch what I say….'

Vex `hmph'ed and walked out of the cave and into the light. Cell followed silently.

"Where to next?" Vex mumbled. Cell thought to himself. `I need to find the androids soon or I might not be able to become complete! Vex doesn't need an android…. but she will need one of those pesky warriors…..Hmmm….'

Vex squeaked when she was suddenly picked up. She gave him a really dirty look and started to lash out.

"What the flip do you think you're doing?!! Put me DOWN!!" Cell chuckled and blasted into the air. Vex screamed and wrapped her arms tightly around his neck. He smirked to himself and sped up.

"Cell what are we doing?!" Vex hissed. Cell had landed on a flat mountaintop and Vex was huddled up at his feet, shivering violently from the freezing blasts of wind. Of course Cell didn't mind. That's one thing she hated about him. He acted all cool and carefree that it gradually worked itself on her nerves.

Vex looked down to what seemed like a battle between a green man and a teenager with black hair and a red bandana. Two others were off to the side. A girl with blonde hair and a tall guy in green with some red hair.

They had been there for the past half-hour (Cell and Vex) and Vex was becoming pissed. She was sitting on a mountain, literally freezing her tail off, and was watching some losers fight. She didn't have any choice but stay where she was because she didn't feel like breaking her neck and Cell refused to go anywhere!

"Grr… Cell!!" She stood up and gave him a swift kick in the leg. The force behind it would have broken any other man's bones, but it didn't seem to bother Cell. He kept staring at the fighters down below. She noted that he was grinning like a fool, like he was happy to be there or something.

Vex, having waited long enough and ticked off beyond belief, went to the edge and looked down. It brought back flashes of the lab and its mountain. `I did it before and I sure as hell can do it again!' She backed up somewhat and rushed forward. She was going to jump when all of a sudden an arm looped around her waist and jerk her back.

"Ugh!" Vex bounced back on her butt and gave Cell the evil eye. He returned the look.

"What were you doing?" He hissed at her. Vex felt a shiver run down her spine, but ignored it. She got up and dusted herself off.

"Oh, nothin' really. Jus' trying to kill myself. I mean, I think the boredom had gotten to my head and pushed out any real sense of sanity, but you wouldn't have cared so I think I just wasted a good few minutes of my precious life!." Cell growled. Vex lifted her head and snorted and turned around.

"Well, you do not have to worry about being bored any more for I have found our evolution." Vex looked at him and saw him smirking.

"What?" Cell pointed down to the fight and she walked over to the edge.

"See that green fighter? He is one of the Z warriors. Absorb him and you will go into your second yet still imperfect stage. The two with the blonde and black hair are the androids that are mine to absorb. After that I will transform into my final stage! Peeeerfection!" He laughed evilly and jumped down from rock to rock that Vex had never really noticed before.

"Ack! Cell wait!" She quickly jumped after him. Cell waited for Vex at the bottom of the mountain and they walked quietly as they could behind a huge boulder. Vex's eyes were wide as baseballs as the people fought. She then recognized who the green one was.

Vex leaned over and whispered, "Who IS the green one?" Cell whispered back "Piccolo, a rather strong fighter. He might have had a chance of destroying me from our previous fight. So, seeing how you're much weaker than I am, I suggest you stay here."

Vex's temper boiled. She couldn't believe he said that. Well, jus to prove him wrong, she would beat Piccolo down and absorb him before Cell could absorbed either of his precious androids. She was so pissed off at his remark that she even had ideas of destroying one of the androids, just so she could laugh in his face.

Unlike him, Vex had many options to choose from. She was told the weakest fighters in the Z Warrior's group were Yamcha, Krillin, Gohan, and Tien. She wasn't told what they looked like so she wouldn't know who was who.

Vex growled at Cell before standing up. She walked around the rock and toward the two fighters completely calm. Cell watched shocked at what she was doing, but she kept on walking.

"Vex! Get back over here…. now!" he hissed menacingly. Vex turned her head slightly, smirking over her shoulder and turned back around, flipping him off. Cell clenched his fist and slammed it onto a rock, making it break and crumble. He watched with narrowed eyes, alive with rage.

Vex stopped when Piccolo and the black haired android noticed her. She kept a steady, emotionless gaze on Piccolo's bloody, angry looking face. That's when he narrowed his eyes at recognition then he glared behind her and gasped. He stepped back a step then glared at both Cell and Vex hatefully.

"Great…" she heard Piccolo mumbled. She smiled evilly then looked over her shoulder when she sensed Cell was walking up behind her. He stopped at her side and then gave her this…. look. She blinked in confusion. She saw some emotion there, and it wasn't just fury. It was…something else, something she couldn't quite put her finger on.

Shrugging it off, Vex advanced Piccolo. He blinked and moved into a fighting stance. She stopped for a moment, realizing she didn't know any martial arts, just street fighting. She glanced over at Cell to see that he was staring at her with an arched brow, probly uncertain if she could defeat Piccolo or not.

She gave him this look that said `fucking-sexist' and he chuckled and he replied by giving her a look, saying `what-are-you-going-to-do-about-it?'. She growled then charged at Piccolo. She had no idea she could move so fast, then again, she didn't know how fast Piccolo could move either.

He seemed to literally disappear then reappear behind her. Vex spun around so fast that she tripped and fell backward, just as Piccolo thrust his fist at her. `Whoa, lucky me!' She reached up, grabbed the out stretched arm and flung him to the ground.

Piccolo didn't have the seconds he needed to avoid when Vex rolled onto her knees and stabbed her elbow into his stomach. The blow knocked the wind out of him, rendering him helpless in those few seconds.

Taking advantage of his weakened state, Vex grabbed his head and bashed her forehead into his, a crack echoing through the air. Piccolo went limp as he fell unconscious. She sighed and glanced up to see Cell gawking at her.

She arched a brow and glared at him, "What?" Cell shook his head and turned his attention on the androids. She shook her head back and, staring down at the green warrior with sympathetic eyes, stabbed him in the arm with the point of her tail. As if on cue, the tail began absorbing the Namekian. She turned her face away from him and watched Cell beat the black haired boy down to the ground.

That's when something started to tingle in her midsection and started spreading rapidly through her bloodstream. At first it was something she ignored. She turned from Cell and watched the last bit of Piccolo disappear into her tail, into her being.

That's when she started feeling the tingle grew stronger and she tensed until she was a ridged as an oak. She felt things start to shift inside her, organs shape-shifting into something more complex. Vex suddenly felt pain pierce her as if someone had driven a sizzling hot pipe through her stomach, the heat burning everything in its path.

She crouched low and grunted in pain as she began to grow taller and muscular. She screamed, glowing a bright light that engulfed her and everything else. As she was transforming into her second stage, she could feel Cell's power increase dramatically. She knew then that he had just absorbed one of his preys.

A few minutes passed and Vex felt-powerful. She stood up and looked at her hands. They were bare unlike in her first form where it looked as if she were wearing finger less gloves. Her silver hair brushed her ankles and her eyes still remained blue.

She looked herself into the water and instantly gagged aloud. She was UGLY! She had a fish like appearance to her! She glanced over at Cell. He was gloating over his appearance when, in fact, he was just as gross as she was.

He turned and looked at her. He made a face of disgust when he looked her up and down. She stood up and at once glared dagger at him.

"Hey, you ain't someone I want to wake up to in the morning either to back off," she growled. He raised a brow in amusement and said in this deep, fishy voice that she thought was nasty, "I didn't say a damn thing. Don't get on my case for I still have my evolution to complete!" He turned and walked calmly toward the blonde girl and the redhead.

Vex sneered and watched. The big one attacked Cell first but it did him no good. Cell simply swatted him away and continued his slow pace toward his next victim. Suddenly, out of know where, a blinding yellow light struck Cell down, driving him deep into the ground. Once the blow stopped, another one attacked, pushing Cell deeper and deeper into the earth.

Vex watched in shock then looked above her to see a man dressed in a green gi with yellow weight bracelets. He had his hands formed into a triangle and that's where the blast kept coming from. She could hear Cell shout and curse every time he made an attempt to leap out of the hole, which was now a canyon, but was forced back in.

That's when she saw Android 18 and Android 16, with the help of 18, fly off into the sky. She blinked and stared at the crater. Vex was torn between thoughts. Should she help Cell and kill the attacker or should she just stand around and wait for her turn?

Before she could really decide, Vex felt the warrior's power drop to almost 24. He's shoulders drooped and he started falling from the sky. Vex, knowing she was out of danger at the moment, walked calmly toward the canyon and crouched down, her elbows resting on her knees. She grinned and shouted into the deep darkness, "Hey dumbass, ya still alive down there? If so, give me a signal! If not, I'll be more than glad to bury you!"

At first she didn't get a response then suddenly the ground started to shake violently and Cell exploded from the ground, dirt shooting up after him then falling like rain. Vex gasped in surprises and mumbles with wide eyes, "Wow, what a signal."

Cell landed a few feet in front of her, his feet digging into the ground. She started backing away when she almost fell into the hole. She glanced down in horror then turned back around. She saw a black haired man in an orange gi holding the other man over his shoulder. He was glaring daggers at HER.

Blinking she back up again, total forgetting that the ground stopped just a few inches where she sat. She let out a shriek of alarm as she fell backwards into the hole. Cell charged at Goku only to miss him by centimeters when he just… disappeared.

A sharp cry of horror struck his ears and he whipped around just in time to see Vex fall into the huge crater. He quickly dashed over to the hole and jumped into it, Vex's screaming echoing as she fell deeper. Cell reached out and gripped her wrist roughly and dragged her into his arms. He shot up into the sky and gave his female counterpart a look of amusement.

"I should teach you how to fly so I wouldn't have to save your pathetic ass every time you mess up." Vex's blue faces puffed and turned a color of purple. Cell braced himself as she screamed her head off about him being arrogant and stupid, that she didn't even need to fly if it weren't him who was always the cause of her getting into trouble.
