Huge, black clouds rolled over the clear blue sky, blocking the sun and all of its warm, arrogant rays. Thunder boomed loudly in the distance, signaling it was going to rain soon. Though that didn't really matter to anyone in one town. The reason being is that no one was there, though their clothes were scattered around, giving evidence that it once was populated with gleeful people.

Just then the first cold drop of water fell freely to earth, soon followed by its brothers and sisters. At first the rain came lightly, but then the clouds really opened up and the rain came down harder and faster. In the woods nearby to the deserted town, was the exact reason why there was no one around.

Vex walked irritably though woods, raining pounding down on her as her anger and annoyance rose. Cell was at her side not really noticing the storm, but the change in Vex's attitude. She was awfully quiet and her mood had darkened somewhat.

They soon came up to a cave, which was nearly hidden under all the trees and thick, thorny vines. Without a word from either of them, both androids walked into the dark, moist cave. Their squeaks echoed throughout the cave, the noise bouncing off the stone walls.

Vex sat down and leaned up against the cold wall, watching the rain come down. Cell sat on the opposite wall, watching Vex. `She seems angry about something…'

"Vex? Is something the matter?" He got silence as a reply. He felt his anger flicker. One thing he absolutely hated more than Goku was being ignore when you were trying to be nice.

"Vex!" Vex slowly turned her gaze toward him. Her eyes were cold and distance, nothing he had expected. Usually her eyes were hot with rage or dull when she was bored or daydreaming. This was the first time he had seen this look before.

"What's wrong with you? You've been silent for the past two days and from the looks of it, angry. What's bothering you?"

"None of your business," she muttered, turning her gaze back to the rain. Cell glared at her and Vex could feel it. His glare felt like as if she were burning herself. Reluctantly, Vex turned back to Cell. Their eyes bore though each other. Cold against flaring.

"Tell me something…where is your family? Were they my victims? Is this why you're so distant with me? Because I might have absorbed them?" She was silent for a moment, still glaring Cell down even though he was doing the exact same thing to her.

"They're dead and it isn't because of you…" She once again turned back to the rain. Cell slowly calmed down, but kept a steady, curious glare on his twin.

Night had fallen and so had the rain. Not once did the storm let up. All it did was come down harder. The more it rained, the more water covered the ground. Because the cave went down hill to where the ground made a big dip, water had started coming in so Vex and Cell had to move further into the cave where it seemed to get darker and colder.

Vex was curled up in a type of ball, her arms wrapped around her tightly and her tail lying limp around her body. She was freezing and the shivering didn't help. Cell didn't, however, let this go unnoticed.

He wasn't cold so the weather didn't bother him all that much, it was just the rain that made him irritable. He never did like getting wet so he and Vex were very lucky to have come across a cave to keep dry. He watched curiously as his female look-alike shook slightly from the cold.

He sighed and got up to walk over to her. She had her eyes closed at the time so she didn't notice his presence until he tapped her shoulder. Vex peeked open and eye and glared daggers at him. She was back to old, enraged-self again. He smirked inwardly.

"I see you're shaking. Mind telling me why?" He asked. Vex gave him this either-you're-trying-to-get-me-pissed-or-your-just-plain-stupid look.

"I'm cold what does it look like? Sheesh, what a question to ask!" She closed her eyes. He was right, but that wasn't what he was asking.

"I know that, I was asking WHY you are. You have my cells in you so you shouldn't mind the temperature." Vex gave him another look. It was a look or tiredness, annoyance, and boredness all wrapped in one.

"Oh , I don't know……Maybe it's cause I don't have ENOUGH of your cells. Jeez, ever thought of that smart guy? Now leave me alone, I'm trying to get at least a few minutes of rest!" Cell grabbed Vex by the arms and held her to him as he raised his ki.

"Hey! What the bloody hell do……you think……you're…...mmm…..warm….." She calmed down almost immediately once the heat of his ki melted away her cold shivers. Cell took Vex's spot against the wall and leaned up against it.

Vex curled up against his chest, a small smile playing over her beak. Cell chuckled lightly and slowly brought his arms around her. He would have gone out and fetched some sticks and twigs, but because the rain had soaked and nearly drowned everything, he just decided to do it this way. He ignored the uncomfortable feeling that started to rise out of nowhere and fell into a deep meditation, enjoying the heat he was giving off and well…...the female that slept soundlessly in his arms.
