~~~~~~~```````` Chapter 17 Blood Shed
Bulma walked tall and proud down the hallway, nodding to the passing soldiers that saluted their loyalty. She held her navy dress by her thighs as not to let the edges touch the ground nor wanting to trip over the fabric like she had done when she first started out as queen. Bulma couldn't remember the last time she actually went out into public without having to look like she was important. Until they came to Earth.
A place she hadn't seen in twenty-two years. Bulma could still remember one of the last conversations she had with her father when she was fifteen. And the memory brought with it the agony of regret.
~~~~~~~```` Flashback

"I'm not going back to school, Dad so you can just forget it! I'm smarter then everyone in that collage! It's stupid for me to go when it's completely not helping!"

"Bulma, I know how smart you are, but there are some things that you just don't know yet."

"Like what?"

"Like how to be mature and responsible."

"What is that supposed to mean!?"

"Bulma, you're only fifteen years old and you think you know everything. And that just might be true. But you are too spoiled for your own damn good. You need to be on your own and learn the facts of life and that doesn't come from books."

The young female stared at her father for a moment, allowing his words for once to penetrate through her mind. "You're right."

"I don't want to hear another-What?"

"You're right. I do need to learn about life and take care of myself."

Dr. Briefs blinked not knowing what in fact he should say considering his daughter had never once agreed with him. "Good?" He questioned not sure if that was the correct response.

"OK, then. It's decided. I'm going to outer space." She announced with a smile before passing her father out of the house.

"I'm glad you see it my way." Dr. Briefs stalled though at the moment the screen door shut. "Bulma!" He quickly ran after her, gently grabbing her arm, "What do you mean outer space?"

Not minding him one bit, she continued on her journey to the lab. "Well, we know that there are aliens in outer space, and they could use some help with many things. I'll take that pod we found and make a ship out of it. Being in space all by myself will certainly help me in learning about the world around me."

Staying right on her heals, "Bulma, are you crazy? Outer space is dangerous. Yes aliens do live among us but what's not to say that their not hostile?"

"What's to say that they are? Come on, Dad. You got to admit, Going to outer space is a pretty good idea. And besides think of what an adventure it will be for me. Something that I can experience all on my own. Oh, I'm so excited!"

~~~``End
Bulma shook her head with a bitter smile. What a stupid child she had been. But she certainly did learn quickly of the facts of life and responsibility. Her father was right. What he would have done to hear that fall from her lips.
It was a sad memory for Bulma to re-live, considering the last time she ever talked to him he had practically begged her not to go. If only she could have called him from Frieza's ship after he had taken her in. Frieza. That son of a bitch. Kept her as his slave. Wouldn't allow her any ties with her past. It wasn't until Vegeta took her to Vegeta-sei that she was able to contact her parents only to learn that they had died a year before. She never knew how they died or if they ever went searching for her, it had always been something she wondered about.
Bulma snapped her head left and then right as she stood before the black door. No one was in this hallway. No one ever was. But if Vegeta were to find out she had come here, he would surely have a problem with it. She was hesitant. Though she always is when she comes here. But then again, she always goes in.
Looking around the darkened room, only lit by maybe two or three candles, Bulma's eyes quickly adjusted. She quietly stepped through the empty room, going into the back, and walking through the clothe that was draped as a door. She went through it immediately met by the one she was looking for, sat peacefully on the ground with her crystal ball in front of her.
"Queen Bulma." She nodded. The seer was too old to get up and bow but Bulma didn't mind. The oracle pointed to a spot right before the glowing ball which Bulma instantly took. The bony, pale fingers danced over the ball, while she hummed a soft tone that would put anyone under the hypnotic spell. Bulma closed her eyes basking in the numbness that started to slowly spill over into her mind, calming all rational thoughts. But she snapped them open as the soothsayer began it's fortune. "A battle ahead, blood will be shed. A family will unite with a fierce fight. However the ties will lead to demise. There is one so pure that is the only cure. Though memory blocks, the secret locks. Believe in what isn't real for a son you just might feel."
Bulma's lips trembled at that last line though letting no of the pain, instead, as a Sayian would, bit through clenched teeth, "My son is dead."
"Believe in what isn't real for a son you just might feel."
Bulma didn't understand what exactly it meant. She thought she did but hearing it again just destroyed what she had conjured it to mean. Instead, Bulma switched her thinking to the first line. "What battle?"
"Cold's fury will come in a hurry."
"Who will die?"
"The one who lies."
"Can it be prevented?"
"Futures are uncertain, can be changed certainly."
Bulma bit her lip, not sure of her will to question the next one in mind. But, she needed to know. "Will Vegeta's and mine bond be recovered?"
The soothsayer's thin eyelids snapped open, gazing at the queen who desperately stared at her. "Once chains are broken, fixing is unspoken. Though broken chains can attach to a much stronger match."
Understand her words, Bulma smile, wiping her for once happy tear from her cheek. "Thank you.
Bra glanced back at her door as if telling whoever was knocking to go away. She brought her gaze back to her metal collar, trying with all the little strength she possessed to unscrew the outer shell but it was obvious she couldn't. When the knocking persisted, Bra aggregately growled throwing down her screw driver and pressed the button to the screen. Her anger faded and a small, sad smile approached her lips. Goten stood in front of her door nervously as the guard beside him glared with full animosity at him. He tried to smile but was only replied with tighter eyes. He knocked again.
Bra quickly straightened her appearance though knowing that no matter how hard she tried, her puffy and swollen eyes more then likely stood out. Not wanting him to suffer anymore then he has, she pressed the button seeing his features brighten considerably, grinning at her with a friendliness that no Sayian ever possessed. But as soon as her eyes rose to meet his, his expression instantly turned upside down as he frowned at her. "What's wrong?" She shook her head but the tear that fell from her that she immediately wiped away did not go unnoticed. "Are you Okay?" Goten question, taking a step inside only to be cut off by the hand that pressed to his chest. He looked at the guard who barred his teeth, but took his gaze back to Bra.
"I'm fine. But…" Her blue paining eyes drifted to the guard and Goten got some hint as to what was wrong. She was being kept here against her will.
Not wanting to see the beautiful girl suffer any longer, Goten stepped back, the guard taking his place in front of the door between him and Bra. "No one enters the Princess quarters, half-breed."
Goten smirked, leaning over to get a glimpse at Bra, "Mind if I get rid of him?"
She giggled at the thought of him being able to do it. He was out of his mind. "You can try." She answered but sadly knowing he had no chance in hell.
"He can try and he will fail." Cut in the guard, bringing Goten's attention back to him. "You are weaker then my newborn, half-breed."
Goten's smirk only widened. Enraged by the boy's audacity, the guard struck out aiming for his cheek, but Goten only caught it in his palm, curling his fingers around and slowly, calmly, and in control, he let his power increase only in his hand. With pure strength, and no ki, Goten began to close his fingers around the man's, squeezing all the bones and fragments in his hand. The guard's eyes widened as the pain increase though no ki rising on his scooter. It was impossible! Only the King and Kali had this kind of strength and it frightened him to think that this creature had such power. He groaned in the pain, clenching his teeth shut as not to cry out loud, though dropping to his knee, trying with all his strength to pull his hand away.
Goten, knowing that he had just won, decided to take the man's agony away. Quicker then the guard could move, Goten chopped the back of the man's neck, rendering him unconscious.
Bra's eyes widened not believing what she had just witnessed. She brought her gaze up from the fallen warrior to the grinning Goten who winked at her, "Weaker then a newborn. That's a new one." He chimed, stepping over the unconscious man and into Bra's room.
Bra, awe-struck, numbly pressed the button and turned around to stare at the man who took a seat on the couch. She followed, "How did you do that?"
"I don't know. I just do it."
"It takes years of practice to achieve what you had just done and you are only seventeen?"
"Eighteen actually. And years of practice came in a couple of days. It's the same with both of my brothers. We don't know how we can do it. We just do what we want."
Bra took a seat now more comfortable with his strength and stared at him for a moment, thinking how much Kali and him look a like and how different they were in personality, "I wish you and Kali would get a long."
"I do too but he's persistent on hating me. Which is fine, he's an asshole anyway."
"Please do not speak ill of him. You know very little of how Sayians are so you have not the right to say such things."
Goten turned his gaze to her with a softer expression, smiling apolitically, "I'm sorry. You're right." She smiled gently to him and nodded a thank you, before she tucked a lavender strand behind her ear. It was then Goten noticed the heavy, large, metal ring around her wrist. He reached out to it, touching it lightly. Seeing her expression sadden brought awareness to him, "What's this?"
She turned her head away. "The king decided to enslave me for my disobedience. This is to track my movements and to keep my ki lower then that of a human child. The guard is to keep physical eye on me so he can report all that I talk to."
"A lot of good he did." Seeing her giggle brought a large grin to his face but it instantly stop and his gaze questioned.
"You will be punished once he wakes up and tells the king."
"I don't care. It was worth it." Bra snapped her eyes up to his, meeting his black orbs gaze at her with such…She couldn't find a word to describe it. It was a look she never saw before. He suddenly shook his head, dropping his gaze away.
"What?"
"Nothing. I just, I shouldn't being saying things like that."
"Why not? It is was nice."
"Maybe but your with someone and I shouldn't be flirting with you."
"What's flirting?
Goten popped his eyes up, smiling at her confusion. He chuckled, smirking at her, "It's when you say things to the opposite sex in hopes that they'll begin to like you."
Bra stared at him for a moment, understanding his words, and smiling lightly, "I've never met anyone like you."
"Same here. Now let's say we try and get this thing off you."
Vegeta's glare hardened all the more at the massive fleet that floated directly behind the Port station. His eyes scanned the whole vast of the MCCVP, immediately knowing exactly how many warriors were on each and what they were capable of doing. He ground his teeth together. He did not have the forces for this nor did he want to start something right now. Should he call upon his army that waited calmly at the end of his empire? They were only two hours away and he could certainly hold Klooer off for that limit amount but that's not to say that it won't come as a price. Many of his warriors would surely die. He had left his strongest beside that of Kali and three others to stay behind to protect the palace and the planet. And with the War that will soon be starting in less then four moonrises, he needed all of his warriors to live.
Vegeta's gaze did not falter as the square image appeared on the glass view port. Klooer's purple smirking lips widened into a grin upon seeing his enemy. "I've caught monkeys out of their cage. What am I to do?"
"Klooer. It's about time you stopped cowering on your planet and show yourself."
"I must say, it's very bold of you to come into my empire like this and with such little fleet."
"I had not come here to fight. But if battle is what you are after then I will not deny."
"Tell me how's that beautiful daughter of yours? She ripe yet?"
Vegeta barred his teeth, growling lowly in his throat. "Watch it, Klooer. Or our little game will come quickly to an end with your blood on my hands."
Klooer cackled, "Oh, Vegeta, I've always loved your imagination. But may I be the one to bring you back to reality. I have one-hundred-thousand troops with all weapons that will easily annihilate your pathetic numbers in five seconds flat. Not only that, but seriously Vegeta, we both know that I am hundred times stronger. And when I get through with you and your empire, that luscious mate of yours and that sweet ass of innocence you have for a daughter will both become mine."
"Now who is the one with imagination?" Vegeta smirked not allowing the man's words to effect him in any way. Ten years their battle has been going on, words such as these cause no more tension as they are meant to. "Enough pointless bicker. We are passing through. Try your best to stop us." Vegeta pressed the button on the control panel canceling out further conversation. He turned out of the room going down the hall to the MBCR, the door hissing open, "Put up the shield to it's max, power up outer shell missiles and ki beam reflectors. Put ship's power to it's fullest. We have not enough forces at the moment to get into an all out war. We are going straight through them. Get Tech repair machines up and running. Damage will be absolute. Get Kali to my mate and once he is there, put ship on lock down. I will not lose one Sayian in this battle."
~~~~```~~~~~~~~~~```````````````

"SHIP LOCKDOWN IN TWO MINUTES. SHIP LOCKDOWN IN TWO MINUTES."

Bra gasped at the message, "Fuck." She whispered quite un-lady like causing Goten to snap his head up from her wrist.

"Am I hurting you?"

"No, that is not it." She ripped her hand away, her heart racing, "You must leave now."

"What? Why?"

"We are on Lock Down. You need to get to your quarters immediately."

"Why can't I just stay here?"

"Because soldiers will be coming here soon. Now you must leave." She gripped his arm though know that he more the likely felt nothing but he walked behind her anyway. Bra pushed the button, shoving him outside, "Be safe."

"Are you sure I should leave?"

"Yes, if my father finds you here in my quarters, or worse, Kali there will be more problems then either of us desire. I will be fine. Go." Reluctantly, Goten nodded, hurrying down the hall. Bra, pressed the button, typing in her code to lock the door before running over to the large windows that lead out to the portable balcony. Her eyes widened at the size of the fleet that laid only a mile away. She pressed the lock button and instantly that glass was covered by unpentreateable metal. She sighed heavily, trying to relax her beating heart but before another thought could process, a huge blast hit the side of the massive ship, throwing Bra into her glass table.
