THAT OLD FEELING
By Papa Bear
Next scene pops up. Yamacha and Maron are sitting on opposite ends of a dining table. Maron is leaning on the table with face propped up by her left hand, staring aimlessly at the table, not even noticing as her hair slowly slides down in front of her face. Yamacha is staring at the table as well, but holds a glass of bourbon in his right hand; his hair is also a bit disheveled. While the two of them sulk, Ken is seen pacing back and forth in front of the window almost adjacent to the table mumbling to himself.
"Where the hell is she?"
"Ooo, your wife disappears, my heart bleeds." Yamacha spat.
"Gah, and the plane has already gone."
"For what?"
"Our honeymoon. We were going to Hawaii. Do either of you have the slightest recollection that you've disrupted my honeymoon plans, huh?"
"Get out while you can." Yamacha growled sarcastically, causing Maron to gaze upon him very briefly before returning it to the table.
"My father warned me about marrying into a family of bohemians, he even offered me 50 grand just to call it off." Ken continued to mumble as he paced some more. Scene changes…
…And opens up for us to see Bra seated at a table, a little flustered and nervous at what she was about to say.
"Look…I am saying that you are not just hurting them, you are hurting me and Ken, and for what? Are you telling me you're going to stay together forever, Oh God! Would you stop it that is so grotesque!" she yelled at her parents who were making out in front of her.
"Grotesque? Well now we don't want to be that now do we?" Bulma joked as she pulled away from the chuckling Vegeta.
"What's going to happen when you have a fight? Huh? You know what you're going to do. I…Look I know what you're doing with your feet under there and I really don't appreciate it!" Bra growled as she saw the flirtatious looks Bulma and Vegeta gave one another.
"Oh honey I thought you wanted us to get along?" said Bulma.
"Well the civil conversation yes, not some perverse affair!"
"Well who's flaunting? I mean we haven't exactly been waking up the whole residence have we?" asked Vegeta.
"Thanks to the sound proof walls." Bulma mumbled under her breathe.
"What?" asked Bra.
"I said that we went through a lot of trouble to disappear and I think it is very rude for you to come and dig us up like this."
"They got a point." commented Goten from the other side of the table.
"Whose side are you on?"
"…Theirs" He answered after receiving a glare from Vegeta.
"What are your plans, runway, become fugitives? What with your careers I find that virtually impossible."
"Well we really don't have any plans, if we did they might not work." Bulma answered.
"Oh, well excuse me for thinking that people should think through things before they do them, but then again if you had ever done that for once in your lives maybe my brother wouldn't have been illegitimate and maybe your lives wouldn't have been so fucked up in the first place!" Bra yelled. She decided to tone down her voice once she realized she had drawn attention to herself from the looks of the people in the restaurant. "…What you two have done is inexcusable. Yamacha and Maron are in shreds. I don't see how you two could do this to people that you have lived with for 14 years. Your marriage is over don't ruin this one. Have you no feeling?"
Bulma and Vegeta were absolutely shocked by Bra's words. What hit them the most was that everything she said was true. Silently, Vegeta leaned over and whispered something to Bulma. A few seconds later, after getting a nod of confirmation from her, Vegeta turned to face his daughter.
"Bra, we know what you're saying is heartfelt, valid and mature beyond your years. And to be honest it makes the both of us feel shameful."
"But?" Bra said almost without emotion.
"Well if you come upstairs with us now and help us pack…we'll go home."
"Really?"
At both her parents nods she was convinced. "Alright."
"You coming too?" Bulma asked Goten.
"…Yeah ok." He agreed.
And with that, having left a (more than decent) tip, both couples head towards the elevators. End of scene.
A/N: Well how was that? A little shorter than the other chapters, but good nonetheless I think. So review and until next weekend. ~Papa Bear~
