The Alternate Universe

Chapter Twelve : Super Saiyan 2

The eletricity craked the Earth around Gohan for metres around,draining the water up into the air,making it swirl around Gohan.The sparks shot everywhere.Cell turned to watch,light filling his face as he smiled.
This is it...
Gohan's hair stood on end as high as it could,and was lightened with a dark,fiery gold.The water formed a solid wall around Gohan,eletricity shooting from the top along with a beam of bright gold energy.His power began rising,rumbling higher and higher.
"Whats going on with Gohan?"Yamcha cried.
"Dunno!"Tien shouted back,but they had little time to ponder as the juniors descended on them.
"No more!Heeerahh!"Vegeta shouted,and a golden ball of energy exploded over his Cell junior,killing it.Trunks' one was caught in the blast and exploded,but another came in from behind and kicked Vegeta in the back,sending him flying down.
Piccolo used his massenkopapo to kill his own,and then dashed forward to the waterwall surrounding Gohan.He touched it and intense amounts of eletricity burst through him.
"Whats going on?!"He shouted to Cell.Cell laughed quietly.
Android 20 bashed his own Cell junior into 19 who kicked it back,grabbed it's mouth and began draining.
"You guys still to drain energy?"Chaotzu asked,kicking wildly with his own.
"We do not need to,but it is still a handy technique"19 replied.He kicked his unconcious junior away and 20 blasted it apart.
"Look at Gohan!"Kasama shouted.As best they could everyone stared down to the wall of water,which dropped down and spilled about the place.
"Keep fighting!"Goku ordered,as the juniors came round for another attack.
The water hit Cell's ankles and sloshed past.
There was one thread of Gohan's thick,golden hair that was trailing over his forehead.The rest was pointing up like spikes of deadly metal.
A blue aura of eletricity had formed itself around Gohan and was shooting sparks about.Cell was impressed;his power level had gone very high.
Had...wait...did he...transform?Into something...hmm...Cell did not care;he would destroy the boy,maybe he might put up a fight,but that would be all the better.He smiled and turned round completely.
"G-Gohan!Your amazing!"Piccolo said.Gohan said nothing,but walked forward slowly,right up to Cell.He looked up to him and punched him in the stomach.He grabbed it and then collapsed,coughing.Gohan appeared atop the cliff where the Cell juniors were.
"Its Gohan!"Kasama cried.She blasted down to him but Gohan hit her away.She smashed into a cliff and it crumbled over her.
Everyone,including Satan and the juniors,was staring at Gohan.He walked over to Chaotzu's one and blasted it away like it was nothing.
"Thank you Gohan!"Chaotzu said,but Gohan ignored him.He reached his father's one and Tien's one and crushed their heads into a bloody mess.The remaining ones blasted into the air.Some stayed on the ground,and Gohan lifted them into the air and closed his hand,making them explode.The five already in the air powered up.
"Kamehameha!"the center one shouted.Two at one side shouted "Tribeam!" the other two on the other side "Final Flash!"
The beams blasted to to Gohan and exploded over him all at the same time,sending light and energy everywhere.When the smoke cleared Gohan stood fine.He blasted up to two and kicked one into the ground,punching the other high into the air.The three remaining ones did not get far as they prepared to flee;Gohan's perfect Kamehameha swallowed them all up.
"He's amazing!"Vegeta cried,more angry and jealous than impressed.
"He's like the Gohan I know..."Trunks said.Gohan disappeared and then reappeared with an unconcious Tao and Krillin in each hand.He dropped them and disappeared again.
"His speed is incredible!"Vegeta continued."What did he do?"he snapped,turning on Trunks as though it was his fault.
"He's attained a totally new level"Goku explained,"Higher than your Ultra Super Saiyan or Hyper Super Saiyan or whatever you call it"
"Super Saiyan Grade 2 and 3"Vegeta said bitterly.
"Whatever,they're rubbish"
"Dont talk to me like that you clown!"Vegeta shouted.Goku turned on him.
"The point is that Gohan is stronger and faster than you or me.Than any of us"
Cell stood up,grumbling.
"Lucky move,kid.Caught me off guard"he said to Gohan who was in front of him again,a bewildered Piccolo behind,"Wont be making the same mistake,I tell you"
"Hmm...you'll die,Cell"Gohan said simply.
"We'll see"Cell replied.Gohan kicked Cell in the chin and smashed down on his head.He fired a blast into his stomach,sending him flying through the air.
"Kamehameha!"he shouted,and the famous blue blast exploded over Cell,sending flame and smoke everywhere.As the light fell the crowd gasped to see Cell with a large gash along one arm,green blood spilling from it.
"Used that arm to defend yourself,did you?"Gohan asked.Cell jumped up and ripped his arm away,then regrew it.
"Lucky hit..."Cell growled.
"Again?"Gohan said,smirking.He appeared in front of Cell but Cell caught his punch,hiding the strain he experienced holding it back.
"That kid is getting the upper hand!How is that?"Pirozki asked.
"Its impossible!"the reporter shouted,scanning the area,"No way!And whats up with the lightning and the water,huh?"
"Fake!No boy could conjure lightning and water from nowhere!"Satan cried.
Piccolo watched Cell struggle against Gohan's punch.I've known you since you were a little boy,Gohan, Piccolo thought,the fleeting image of Gohan in his yellow-green-read coat and hat,And I've trained you since then.But never have you even come close to unleashing this much power...even when I knew you had powers,deep and hidden.I knew that even Guru's power awakening was not to the full extent;but Gohan,your amazing.Do us proud..and Goku,I'm sorry I ever doubted you...
Atop the cliff Krillin and Tao were rising weakly.Goku turned to them.
"Guys"he said,"Gohan,he's wopping Cell's-"
"He's amazing"Kasama cut across, Gohan,you ARE amazing...in every way,and I forgive you for knocking me about...
"Thats Goku's son,eh?"Krillin murmured.Wow...he's surpassed even Goku and Trunks...so where does that leave me...maybe our friendship is over forever...
He surpassed Kakaroto AND myself!My own son,his son,Kakaroto himself...am I worthless?Grah! Vegeta stared angrily at Gohan.
What a boy...he's like the Gohan I knew.Strong,intelligent,brave...someone to look up to... Trunks thought,feeling warm inside.Cell was finally defeated and so,with his eradication,went all the evil androids...and then he could return to his own time to defeat the relatively weak androids...yes...
I remember when Goku and I were equal the the Tenchaki Budokai...heh,and now... Tien thought,smiling.
Cell pushed furiously against Gohan,his face now contorted with pain and stress of trying to push Gohan back,while he effortlessly pushed Cell away from him.Then Gohan broke and his fist smashed through Cell's block and into his face.For a moment it was still and silent and then Cell went flying into a group of boulders,smashing through each in turn.Gohan smiled.
Cell then came into sight,blasting towards them looking furious.He punched at Gohan but he dodged.Gohan grabbed his leg as he blasted past and swung him round,followed by a ball of energy.It smashed into his face covering it in black scars as he slammed into the ground and slid along.
"Gohan!I will get you!"He shouted,standing up."Are you seriously going to fight me?In the knowledge that your father was a spineless coward who would have seen you dead?Does that not spark anger in you?!"
"Actually,yes"Gohan replied,smiling devilishly,"It was that little push I needed.."
Cell appeared in front of Gohan,punched,but Gohan dodged and kicked Cell.Cell avoided his kick and kneed Gohan in the chin,then knocked him back into the ground.Gohan jumped up and headbutted Cell in the stomach,sending him flying into the air.
"Herahh!"Cell called,blasting gold lights down to Gohan which exploded over him.Cell laughed wildly and landed back on the ground.
With the speed of light Gohan was upon Cell from behind and kicking him forward.He smashed into the ground,his head tearing through a rock.He screamed with anger and pain.
"Kame-"Gohan began.
"NO!ARGHHH!"Cell shouted,and his power exploded.
"Hame-"Gohan continued,positively laughing with the pain he was inflicting,"HA!!!!"
A giant beam of blue-white energy burst from Gohan's palms and into a horrified-looking Cell who tried to sheild himself best he could.
"He's going down,he really is!"Krillin shouted happily,jumping forward.
"No,he's just slowing him down"Goku said,"He's toying with him"
"This is toying?!"Krillin repeated,unbelieving.
As the light and smoke cleared,the Z fighters saw nothing as they scanned the scene.
At Gohan's feet was a small,burnt bag,with a few beans spilling out it.He pushed them back in,picked it up and threw it up to Tien,who caught it.
"Senzu beans,guys"he called.He fed one to everyone there.
"There!"Tao shouting after hastily gulping down his beam,"In the sky!"
Everyone looked to see a dim,black shadow.It was Cell,heavily burnt and mangled.His feet had been totally burned away and only an oily,liquid-like sludge was left over a burnt stump,liked a welder had attacked him.The same went for his hands,they were gone and his skin had melted over it.His head plates had melted down over his head and much of his chest had been heavily burned.
"You've mamed me,Saiyan..."he croaked.
"Gohan what are you doing?"Piccolo hissed,horrified by Gohan's mutilation.
"I may reform now...but I cannot...keep...doing this!ARGHHH!"he screamed.His hands and feet returned,his burns healed away and his head plates shot back up again.Cell was fuming,rage embellished deeper in him as he saw Gohan smirking.
"Damn you,Gohan!DAMN YOU SAIYANS!"Cell bellowed,and a golden aura exploded around him,and his power level went higher still,his muscles bulging slightly.He blasted forward and punched Gohan,but Gohan met it and threw him back.Cell knocked away his energy attack.
Gohan appeared behind Cell and kicked him into the ground,grabbed his face and blasted it,sending him higher and higher into the sky,Gohan holding his arm up high,the golden beam coming out it burning Cell's face as it pushed him out into space.
Except there was no cheering like there usually would be.Now everyone knew Cell too well;he was still alive.
"Gohan!Finish him when he gets back down!"Piccolo ordered.
"I think I'd like to torture him a bit,first"
"Dont play with things like that!It's gone against Vegeta many a time...believe me,I know that your making a mistake!"
"Quiet"Gohan said,as Cell's smoking body hit the ground and dust was sent into the air.Cell stood slowly.
"I....hate...you.."he whispered.
"Whats that?"Gohan teased.
"I HATE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ARGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"he screeched,and threw his arms back as he screamed with rage.His muscles swelled disproportionally,bulging.He grew to five,six seven times his normal size,muscles bulging and power reaching bursting point.
"Whats he doing?He was the one who told me that was a crazy idea!"Trunks shouted.
"He's gone cuckoo!"Krillin cried.
"That was sick,the way he was burned,wasnt it?"Piza said.Everyone around her nodded.The reporter dashed forward.
"Its amazing!"he shouted,"The best fight in history!"
"Doesnt he know that the camera's out?"Nigel asked.
"Yes"Everyone else said flatly.Gohan punched Cell in the stomach so quickly it looked like he hadnt moved.He looked up and smiled as Cell as dribble spewed from his mouth.
"You cant handle the strength or the muscle"Gohan said,"And you dont have any speed"
"Shut...up!"Cell roared.Gohan appeared on his head and smashed into his face,making him crash down into the ground.Cell's mouth spewed blood around the air.He turned over but Gohan fired a blast into his chest and he slammed into the floor.Gohan began beating him harshly with his knuckles,smashing him this way and that.
"He wont be able to last much longer"Goku commented wisely,"He's putting way too much strain on his body"
"Heck,your right!"Vegeta called,"That runt has done it!"
"Its not over yet"Trunks said.
He smashed Cell into a wall of rock which cracked under his strain.
"This is it Gohan"he said."I'm going to die"
"I'm glad you acknowledge that"Gohan said slickly,"Because its goodbye for you now"
"And so will you!"Cell shouted with glee,and he jumped forward,throwing his whole weight and strength onto Gohan.
"What?!"Gohan gasped,as he was covered by the weight.
"What is he doing?!"Tien yelled,looking at Goku at support,but Goku's face was filled with bewilderment.
Cell started to swell,not musclely,but a fat mess.Like a balloon that was near bursting point he was now enermous.
"I'M TAKING THE EARTH WITH ME!AND BELIEVE ME,THIS IS MUCH STRONGER THAN 16'S BOMB!"
Piccolo fired his massenkopapo but it bounced off him.
"No use,my namek friend..."Cell said,"This is one-hundred percent protected armour"
"NO!"Goku gasped,jumping off the cliff onto the ground.Trunks and Krillin followed,and everyone else got the drift and began to join Piccolo and Goku down below.
"Not long now!"Cell shouted with evil happiness,"Soon this world will go boom-boom!AHAHHAHA!"
"What do we do?"Goku cried.
21 landed,who for most of the battle had stayed silent.
"This is all my fault"20 whispered,shamefully.
"There must be a way!"Goku shouted as Cell's golden aura burst into life.
"None!None!AHAHAHAH!"Cell shouted,laughing wildly.Gohan headbutted upwards and slipped between Cell's arms,so Cell fell back,clutching his stomach."No matter"he grunted,"I shall take the Earth and all the oxygen-breathers with it!Thats YOU!"
He laughed wildly again and turned his back.
Goku's face was set;now was his moment.He would use instant translocation,even if it meant his own death....
"Goodbye,guys"he said,holding his hand up in a wave.Something shot past him.He and the others turned confusedly to see android 21 grab Cell.
"Goodbye,master.You have taught me well"
"Creation?NO!?"20 shouted.
"I am thankful that I have been enriched with life..and now...goodbye"he said.
The two of them disappeared,Cell screaming insanely.
"Its over..."Krillin whispered after a while.
"Cell's gone,son"Goku said to Gohan,"You did it"
"Dad"Gohan said."Tha..thanks"
"Lets go home,right?"Trunks asked.Gohan and Trunks stood slightly apart from the group,together.
"You look pretty rough"Krillin said.For some reason,Gohan began scratching his head and laughing.Then everyone else broke out into laughter.
"What?"Krillin asked,but he seemed to have been forgotten,"What?!"
"So,how did you do it?"Vegeta,apart from Krillin,the only person not laughing,"Did you ascend or something?"
"Yes,I think I reached a new level.I'm calling it a Super Saiyan 2"
"You brat dont try to be smart"Vegeta snapped.
"Leave him,Vegeta"Goku said bordly,"I havnt got time for your bad hair and bad jokes"
"Grah!Kakaroto!"Vegeta spat.
"LOOK!"Tao shouted.Goku disappeared and then reappeared with the reporter, Satan, Pirozki, Karoni, Piza and the cameraman.
"What...its..!"Goku spluttered.
"Its me"a cold voice hissed,and a blur of gold-blue light whired bast towards Trunks.Gohan threw his arm out and took the brunt of the blast,disabling his left arm almost completely.It seered with burning pain then relaxed to a cold numbness.Trunks got a shot of it which tore through his Saiyan armour.He collapsed backwards,blood spurting from his chest.
"TRUNKS!"Veget shouted,"NO!"he ran towards him.
Gohan cradled his arm perfectly."I'm sorry I attacked you Kasama...I want to tell you that I love you"
"Love?At his age?"Krillin whispered.Goku was reeling with giggles,and Cell was almost forgotten,but he made himself apparent.
"Take this to ease your laughter,Goku"he said,and Goku just knocked a ball of energy back.
"Your stronger!"Goku shouted.
"Thanks to the Saiyan's regenerative cells,yes"Cell explained.
"What happened with 21?"Krillin dared to ask.
"He took me out into the regions of space with Gero's super speed adjusment...we fought momentarily but I exploded.
"Did he die?"19 asked.
"I saw no more.He tried to sheild himself but that was it.My cells regenerated and I was granted the power of instant translocation along with my strength increase.And now..."he rolled his head and smiled menacingly,"...and now,I have returned to destroy you ALL!"
"You cant do that"Goku said,"If we combine ourselves,even without Vegeta and Trunks,you couldnt withstand us"
"I shall pick you off one by one...my speed is my most valuable advantage now"he said.He appeared behind Goku and kicked him forward,"As you can see!"
"So this is it"Gohan said."I'm not giving up without a fight!"
Cell tensed up and bent down,placing his hands together.
"Get the innocents out of here!"Gohan cried,seeing Cell conjure the final,most powerful Kamehameha wave.
Tao grabbed the group,but Satan broke free.
"Innocents?I'm a fighter.Watch this!"Satan shouted.He jumped and kicked but Cell's head knocked him away.
"Leave Satan!"Gohan mouthed.Tao nodded and led the others away.
"Hey listen to me!"Hercule shouted.He began furiously pounding Cell,as the Cameraman yelled,"Its fixed,talk,talk!"
He focused the camera on Satan beating up Cell and the bright blue light as he was led away.
"And"the reporter whispered into his microphone,"That brave,brave champion stays behind to fight alone...terminating broadcast.Goodbye"
"That was pretty useless"the cameraman said as they were led behind a rock and left there.
"Useless?"The reporter enquired slickly,"I think not...they'll be wanting to know about the plight of Hercule;a first-hand account...millions,it'll be worth..."
"Tch..."the cameraman muttered.
Cell fired his blast,many times larger than himself,towards Gohan.Gohan was ready.With his free arm he conjured his own,massive Kamehameha and fired it from his scarred,but operable,right arm.They collided in mid-air but did not bounce off each other.
"This truly is a battle of epic proportions!"he heard Cell call,"It's a rare occasion for this type of-ARGH!"he shouted,as he felt a burning sensation on his back.He turned his head to see Goku firing yet another Kamehameha.
Stay focused...on the...boy! He told himself,Goku is worthless...
His back seared with pain as Goku's attack dug into him.
"Its still not enough!"Tien shouted,"Lets all fire!"
"NO!"Vegeta called.He pushed them out of the way."No one help,NO ONE!"
"Shut up!"Krillin ordered,pushing Vegeta aside.
"This will be my attack that saves them and mine alone!Not until the time is right!"
Gohan,Goku said telepathically,Keep holding on...
Dad?How are you doing this?
Forwarded message from King Kai.Now never mind about that;Vegeta has strict instructions from me on when to fire.
He listened to you?!
I gave him a persuasive talk,lets say.Now...keep holding...it wont be much longer...
Why are you doing this?
It will one day become apparent...and now!Place your full maximum power on it!Do it!

Goku send a wave of energy towards Cell that had somehow burst out of nowhere inside him.Cell's face lit up with fear.There was a screeching noise of someone firing an attack.This was Vegeta;he was doing something that would,perspectively,save the entire universe.He would keep Cell alive,but barely,though he fired the attack to kill.It was Goku's plan to keep Cell alive,but he had led Vegeta to believe it was to kill him.
What happened is this;Vegeta's single ball of blue energy tore Cell's head clean from his neck and nearly destroyed it.A single Cell remained from his nucleus which was caught it Gohan and Goku's interlocking beams which will come to later.It was heavily mutilated and would need many repairs and work to bring Cell back to Imperfect Form.This would happen in seven years time.The Cell drifted into the air,torn and shredded,unable to reform.It floated about into the distance.
Goku and Gohan's beams met as Cell's head was disintegrated,and Cell's body was caught in the crossfire.Itself too disintegrated.Gohan and Goku were instantly blown back,their hairs black again.The noise was unbearable,the microphone short-circuited and the camera caught a last glimpse of blue light before being blown away.The light had a better affect than the Solar Flare-people covered their eyes and fell into the ground in pain.The energy released blasted most of the boulders away,too.Then it seemed to settle;goodness came back into that area for everyone knew,or felt like they knew,that Cell was gone forever.It was raining heavily as the sun burst into veiw.
A small brown bag tied with red lace hit the soft soil and split open,sending a wave of dust around.Tien looked down to it and a pile of green beans spilled out.It must have been dropped from some way...he looked up to see a grey shadow looking down on him,which no-one else noticed.With the bright sun,the water and the black clouds baring down on his eyes he could only make out a shadow.
"Hey,did you throw these?Where did they come from?!"he called up,but at that the shadow disappeared.
Chaotzu appeared under Tien and picked three beans from it and fed one to Trunks, Goku and Gohan in turn.
Tien grabbed the silk-tied back and stared up silently into the sky.
Goku jumped up and punched the air a few times.
"So"he asked Trunks,dazidly,"I'm normal again,huh?"
"Sure are"Trunks replied,watching him hop about,"Even that state of omni-Super Saiyan took up some power.You musta' been all out of it"
"Right...wait,I gotta go,be a bit"he said.In one giant leap he landed atop the cliff they were just on,stared around for a bit,then hopped out of sight between two clefts.Trunks placed his hand over his his eyebrows,peering up to Goku.
I'll never forget you,Goku...all the things you and your son have taught me,in this world..and then next...
"I'm sorry for hurting you,Kasama"Gohan said sleepily,"I'm sorry"
"Thats okay"Kasama said,"I'm just grateful your okay"
Gohan smiled,"I'm fine"
Vegeta stood at the bottom of the cliff,looking up to it where Goku had just stood,staring around.
Always one step ahead,Goku...always one step...and so I'm going to take my boot and put it two steps ahead...and maybe,he smiled,I'll take out your foot on the way...
"Contemplating your defeat?"Piccolo said snidely,sneaking up behind Vegeta,his clothes torn.
"Get away,Piccolo"he hissed.
"Its not my fault someone's feeling sour because Goku and Gohan are stronger than them"
"And I suppose you are some great hero!"he growled,turning around.
"I just know my place"and he added for affect,"Prince"
"You fiend!"Vegeta cursed.He jumped forward but Piccolo jumped into the air and back,then disappeared and reappeared on a rock some way away.
"Come catch me!"he called.
"You'll pay for your mockery!"he bawled,and a chase began.
"I hit Cell across the head and he tried to pretend it didnt hurt him,so I did it a few more times,and then"Satan said,telling the reporter his story,and the whole world as they watched their television screens and cheered,"He dropped his light thing and BAM!It exploded all over him and BOOM!He went in a puff-killed by his own bombs"
"Amazing!"the reporter cried,spellbound,"And this is an exclusive!"he shouted back to the camera.
"My autobiography is available for 19.99 Zennie right now!"Satan shouted to the camera,"And my new updated version-'How I Beat Cell'!"
"Did you hear THAT folks?"the reporter said to the camera.
"Jeez,listen to this"Yamcha said,hiding his interest,"Publicity publicity publicity,eh?"
"Leave him"Krillin said,"Let them have their fun"
"You hate him!Talk about fickle!"Yamcha cried.
"Hmmm..."Krillin hummed thoughtfully.
Vegeta swiped the air and his fist smashed through solid rock.Kajumi was watching,looking bored and dreamy.
"You'll never catch the Namek"she advised.
"Shut up!"Vegeta ordered.
"Meh Meh!"Piccolo laughed from behind.
Tien was still staring up at the point where the shadow was,and now where a gleaming rainbow was.
"Chaotzu,lets be off"
"For more training?"Chaotzu asked.
"For...lets have some rest,huh?"
"Yay!"
The two of them blasted off,waving to the others.
"So where does this leave me?"Kasama asked,"And my sister?"
"You can live with us,okay?"Gohan said."We can make it bigger-I'm sure Bulma can do something"
"Thanks"she said,smiling.Gohan moved away to Piccolo.
"Piccolo,do you want to live with us too?"Gohan asked.Piccolo stopped his game,but Vegeta didnt want to.He punched and Piccolo dodged,then kicked Vegeta into the ground.
"Not right now,I'm afraid"Piccolo said,"I'm still going solo"
"Alright"Gohan said."I'm just happy we've got the world"
"So am I"Piccolo said."So am I"
