The Crystal Saga - Part 2 - Star Trek Voyager



(This is set in series 7 just after the episode Fair Haven,mainly because that's as far as
I've seen.Damn British TV)



We were just picking ourselves up off the floor when there were sudden sparks of light
either side of us.I went to touch what I thought was air but there were some kind of sparks
and it felt like a solid wall.

Me:What the hell is this?

Man:That is a forcefield.Explain yourselves.Who are you and how did you get on board this
ship?

Me:ship?We're on a ship?Where did that damn crystal piece end up now?

Man:That is not the question I asked.

Me:I know.Listen,we don't mean any harm.Are you in command or is someone else the captain?

Man:Very well.One of you come with me,the rest of you will be taken to the brig.

Me:I'll go.Just do what he says.The last thing we want is for them to get the wrong impression
as soon as we get here.

The air seemed to spark again.I went to touch whatever was there before but it was gone.

Man:This way,the rest of you go with them.

The man pointed at two others.All 3 of them were wearing basically black uniforms but the top
of it was yellow.It was then I noticed the guy who had been talking had pointed ears.He was
leading me down a corridor and into what looked like an ellevator.

Man:Bridge.

The elevator began moving upwards but I could barely feel it.

Me:You're not human are you?

Man:No,I am a Vulcan.

Me:So do you have a name or do I just call you Vulcan?

Man:My name is of no matter to you.

Me:Come on,I'm Dave.It doesn't hurt to be a little friendly you know.

Man:Very well.My name is Tuvok.

Just then the elevator stopped and the door opened.Infront of me was a fairly large room
with lights around the back edge and a control panel near the front.But there was also a
screen on the wall which displayed stars.

Me:This is a Spaceship?!

Everyone in the room turned around to face me.

Man:Is this the intruder?

This guy had a similar uniform except the yellow part was red.The guy also had a tattoo on
the side of his face.

Man:The captain's waiting for him.Take him into her ready room.

Tuvok:Yes sir.

Tuvok directed me into a room through a door at the back of the room.Inside was what looked
like an office with a woman sat behind the desk.

Woman:So this is the intruder?

Tuvok:One of them.The other 8 have been taken to the Brig.

Woman:Other 8.How did so many intruders get on board.

Tuvok:I do not know captain.Perhaps he can tell you.He says his name is Dave.

Captain:Alright.Tuvok please leave us.

Tuvok left the room but I could tell he was stood just outside.

Woman:Alright.I want anwsers and I want them now.

Me:It would help if I knew your name.

Woman:I'm captain Kathryn Janeway of the Federation Starship Voyager,now who are you?Who are
the others you're with and how and why are you on my ship?

Me:Alright.We came here by accident.We're from another dimension.In our own dimension we,I
accidently shattered an immensly powerful crystal.It shattered and the fragments
transported to another dimension.We've got one back and we must be here because another
fragment is in this dimension somewhere.Please believe me,we don't mean any harm.As soon
as we find the crystal fragment we will be able to leave.

Captain:All right.You're story sounds a little strange but it does explain how you got here.
Do you have any other proof to support what you're saying?

Me:Well,we have the parts of the crystal we've recovered.

Captain:All right,if you can show me this crystal I'll help you find the piece here.

Me:Thank you.

We left the room and went back into the elevator.

Captain:Brig.

Me:What are these things anyway?Back where I come from Earth is centuries away from this
kind of technology.

Captain:This is a Turbolift.Without them it would take hours to move around the ship.

Me:How big is this ship?

Captain:15 decks.Bio-neural cicuitry,stable cruise factor of Warp 9.975.

Me:I don't think I understood anything past 15 decks.

The turbolift stopped and the door opened.I was led through a corridor and into a room.The
others were in 2 smaller rooms behind what I assumed must have been like the forcefields
from earlier.

Captain:Well?

Me:Vegeta,show her the crystal.

Vegeta:Why should I?

Me:Because it proves we come from another dimension and they'll help us find the fragment in
this one.

Vegeta:Very well.

Vegeta took out the crystal piece and held it up.

Vegeta:Satisfied?

The Captain pulled out some kind of little box which she opened.The front began flashing and
so did some kind of instruments on the front of the opened part.

Captain:Amazing.I've never seen anything like this.

She closed the device and put it in a holster on her waist.

Captain:Drop the force fields.They're free to go.

The air infront of the others sparked and they slowly stepped out.

Ryoko:David!

Ryoko grabed he and hugged me like I had been gone for a year.

Me:Hi Ryoko,I'm so glad to see you.

I hugged her back and held her head on my shoulder.

Vegeta:Cut out that nonsense.How are we going to find the crystal fragment?

I let go of Ryoko and faced Vegeta.

Me:I don't know.You see this is a Starship so it might be difficult.The crystal fragment
could be floating in space or on an alien planet.

Captain:Please,there will be time for explanations later.But now I have to ask you to come to
our sick bay for a medical check-up.You understand?

Goku:Sure.Lead the way.

We were taken through some corridors and up in a turbo lift and entered a room with beds on
one side wall and one bed at the back of the room.

Captain:Computer,activate EMH.

A person appeared from nowhere.He had the same uniform except the coloured part was blue.

Captain:Doctor,these are our new guests.I'd like you to perform a full medical scan on all
of them.

Doctor:Of course,please sit on any bio-bed you want.

We all sat down on one of the beds around the room while the doctor seemed to use a weird
device on us.It looked like what the captain had scanned the crystal with but a piece came
out of the front to scan us I guessed.We finished and started to talk to the captain.

Doctor:3 of them are human.However 3 of them are,I don't know what.I've never seen anything
like it.The other 3 are part human and part...

Me:Saiyan.That's what we are.

Captain:Saiyan?I've never heard of a race like that.

Me:Maybe we don't exist in this dimension.

Doctor:I've never seen a molecular structre like this.It seems to have some similarities
to human DNA but there are parts of the DNA coding I just can't recognise.

Me:If you want to know what we can do why not stop at the nearest planet with a breathable
atmosphere?We can give you one hell of a show.

Captain:Really?Why not simply show us on board?

Me:Because that would destroy your ship and everyone on-board.Trust me,we don't want to do that.

Captain:All right.You'll be escorted to your quarters while we find a suitable planet.How
many quarters will we need?

Gohan:Me,my wife and duaghter will stay together.

Vegeta:I will live on my own.

Goku:I'll stay with Goten.

Bulma:Me and Trunks will live together.

Ryoko:What do you think Dave?

Me:All right.We'll have some quarters with 2 beds.

Captain:All right.Ensign escort them to their quarters.I'll be on the bridge.

We were took by a man who took us all to some quarters on the same deck as Sick bay.All the
quarters were near each other so we weren't spread out.Just as we had settled in we got a
message from the captain.

Captain:Please come to the Transporter Room.We've found an un-inhabited planet.

Me:Where's the Transporter Room?

Captain:Just go left out of your quarters and it's at the end of the corridor.

Me:Let's go Ryoko.

Ryoko:Coming.

We walked out into the corridor and met the others.We followed the captains directions and
entered a room with a large chamber on one side and a control panel on the other.

Captain:All right,5 of you come with me,5 of you go with Commander Chakotay.

The man from the bridge with the Tattoo was there and so was the Doctor.

Me:Just how did the Doctor appear from nowhere anyway.

Doctor:I am a hologram.

Me:So how are you going to the planet?

Doctor:I have a mobile emitter allowing me to go anywhere.

Me:Cool.Well,let's go.

The captain,Videl,Gohan,Pan,Goku and Goten stepped into the chamber and seemed to dissappear
into flashes of Blue and purple light.

Chakotay:All right.Let's go.This is a Transporter.Don't worry it just takes you to the planet.

Chakotay,Me,Ryoko,Bulma,Trunks and Vegeta stepped onto the Transporter and I felt really
weird.Next thing I knew we were on a planet.A few plants around,grass covered ground and a
blue sky.It looked a lot like Earth but I couldn't sense any people.I turned around and saw
the doctor and someone else appear.

Captain:This is Ensign Kim.He's here to ananlyze any readings at close range.

Me:All right then.Are you up for a re-match Vegeta?

Vegeta:So,you want me to beat you into a pulp?

Me:As I seem to re-call I won last time.

Vegeta:You were just lucky.Now I'll show you what I can do.

Me:We'll just see about that.

I began to power up and so did Vegeta.Our muscles bulged out and my hair moved up.Our eyes
changed green and we were covered in a Golden Yellow glow and our hair had changed colour.

Captain:What the hell just happened?

Kim:I have no idea.My tricorder readings have gone crazy.

Vegeta took the first move and ran straight at me.When he was about halfway towards me I
flew at him and caught him off guard by forcing my fist into his chest.I carried him back
with me before using my hand stuck in his chest to blast him into a nearby mountain which
collapsed on top of him.The rubble exploded and Vegeta flew at me kneeing me in the chest
and forcing me into the ground.

Vegeta:Got you!

Me:Think again.

I blasted Vegeta and threw him about 200 feet across the air.It wasn't a really strong blast
but strong enough to throw him.

Vegeta:All right.I think we should call this a draw.For now.

Captain:Amazing.What do you make of it Ensign?

Kim:I have no idea.My tricorder display's never looked anything like this before.

Chakotay:I never knew anyone was capable of such things.

Voice:CAPTAIN!CAPTAIN!

Captain:Janeway here.Go ahead Mr Paris.

Paris:Captain.A Borg Cube has just come out of Transwarp.They're ignoring us but they're
coming straight towards the planet.We don't hve time to beam you out.

Captain:Get out of orbit.Get out of the system,NOW!

Paris:But captain...

Captain:DO IT!We can handle the Borg.Or should I say our guests can.

The voice ended and the captain turned to face us.

Captain:The Borg are bent on assimilating life forms.They have no soul,just one collective.
They'll come down here and try to assimilate us.Don't let them touch you or they'll
inject you with nanaprobes and assimiliate you.

Me:Trunks,Goten,Pan,create a shield around yourselves,Bulma,Ryoko,Videl,the Captain,Ensign
Kim and Chakotay.We'll handle the Borg.

Trunks:All right.

The others went into a small circle and Pan,Trunks and Goten focused their energy creating
an energy bubble around themselves and the others.

Me:All right guys,power up!

Goku and Gohan powered up and we stood ready to fight.Just then a single weird looking alien
transported down and began to speak.

Drone:We are the Borg.You will be assimilated.We will add your biological and technological
distinctiveness to our own.Resistance is futile.

Me:The hell it is.

I blasted the drone totally disintegrating it.Then hundreds more Drones transported down all
around us.We were spread out around the bubble determined not to even let the Borg get near
it let alone try to break through it.

Me:LET'S DO IT!

We all flew into the air throwing various attacks at he Drones.

Me:KAMEHAMEHA!

I blasted a line through the drones but the others closed the gap and kept moving towards the
energy bubble.

Me:Nice of them to stay so close together for us huh guys!

Gohan:Yeah.Like shooting fish in a barrel.MASENKO!

Gohan blasted another huge hole in the swarm of drones which was getting smaller by the second.
It was then that Vegeta decided to try hand-to-hand combat.

Vegeta:Take this!

Me:VEGETA NO!

I flew at him and grabbed him pulling him into the air.

Me:Are you crazy?!You can't touch those things.You heard the captain.

Vegeta:Fine.

He blasted the drones he was about to punch.

Ryoko:DAVID HELP!

I looked and saw a few drones had got through and were pounding the bubble with green energy
blasts from some kind of weapon.I quickly blasted them careful not to hit the bubble.

Me:You guys ok?

Ryoko:LOOK OUT!

I just moved in time before a Drone could grab me.I swung round in the air and blasted it.I
looked around and saw all the drones had been destroyed.

Me:All right.Now we have to destroy the ship in orbit.Goku,you're the most powerful so you
have the best chance.Can you tell us where the ship is Captain?

Captain:Yes,it's above us,just there.

The Captain pointed at a point in the sky.I could just make out a black cube shape.

Me:You see it Goku?

Goku:Got it.

Me:All right then.Blow it up and we can get out of here.

Goku:KAMEHAMEHA!

A huge blast came from Goku and headed into the sky.Next thing I knew there was an explosion
and the black cube in the sky was gone.

Me:Nice shot Goku.

Goku:Thanks.

Paris:Voyager to Janeway.We just got back into orbit.What happened?

Captain:I'll explain once we're back on-board

We were transported back onto the ship and went to the bridge.

Captain:It would seem our guests our much more powerful than even the Borg.They took out
hundreds or drones and even destroyed the Borg Cube in orbit.

Tuvok:How could they manage such a thing?

Me:Because we're Saiyans.Any Saiyan could do that.It's easy for us.But now we really have to
find the crystal fragment so we can get home.Bulma?

Bulma:I've tried the locator but it doesn't show up at all.

Chakotay:What is that?Some kind of scanning device?

Me:Yeah.We use it to find the crystal piece wherever we are.

Kim:It looks pretty low-tech.I think I can help though.I can modify one of our Tricorders
to match it's scanners and I can modify our sensors.

Me:Huh?

Kim:We can make it easier for you to find the fragment.

Captain:Well do it.It's the least we can do for all your help.

Me:Thank you Captain.

Ensign Kim took the locator and started working on one of the Tricorders.Once he had done that
he gave me the Tricorder and went back to work on the ships sensors.

Kim:All right.I've found it.About 1 day's travel from here.

Captain:Mr Paris,plot a course.

Paris:Aye captain.

We decided to look around the ship and I found something called the Holodeck.I went in and
found myself in a room and the walls were covered in some kind of grid.

Me:Computer what is this room?

Computer:Holodeck 1.

Me:What's a Holodeck?

I got a 30 minute lecture on how the Holodeck could create a kind of Virtual reality environment
of almost anything.

Me:Are there any combat training programs?

Computer:Affirmative.

Me:Let me have a look at them.

A display panel appeared and I had a look at some programs.They were all pretty boring and
didn't present any challenge.

Me:Let me have a look at romantic locations.

Computer:Specify.

Me:Lake sides during a moonlit night.

The display changed and some locations came up.I finally picked a program and remebered the
name.

Me:Perfect.Ryoko's gonna love this.Now I just have to get a picnic and this'll be perfect.

I went back to our quarters and Ryoko wasn't there.I used the replicator to make some sandwiches
and fruit but it wasn't enough.I decided to go up to the Mess Hall and get some food.

Neelix:Hello.What can I get for you.

Me:I need some food for a romantic picnic.

Neelix:I've got just the thing.

Neelix got some food and placed it in the hamper I had replicated and made my way back to
our quarters.Ryoko was there and was just about to get ready to go to bed.

Me:Hey Ryoko.I have to show you something.

Ryoko:What is it?

Me:You'll see.

Ryoko:What's with that hamper in your hand?

Me:Come with me and you'll see.

We made our way through the ship and came to the holodeck.I activated the program I had
found and opened the door.

Me:Let's go.

I led Ryoko into the holodeck which was now a lakeside lit only by the moon.

Ryoko:Wow!It's beautiful.

Me:It's just a hologram but I thought we could hae a picnic.It's been a long time since we
had a chance to be together like this.

Ryoko:Yeah.That looks like a good spot.

I laid down a blanket on the beach and got out some of the food.We both enjoyed it and
talked about what we had been through since we met.

Ryoko:It really has been a long time since we first met.

Me:Yeah,almost 1 year now.

Ryoko:Most exciting year of my life.

Me:I have a feeling it's going to get even more exciting but as long as your with me I can
handle anything.

Ryoko:David,that's so sweet.

Ryoko's cheeks had turned red and she was clearly embarassed.I leant over and kissed her.She
wrapped her arms around me and kissed back.

Paris:OH!Sorry!

I broke the kiss and looked round.The holodeck door had opened and Paris and Harry were
standing looking at us.Both me and Ryoko jumped up and were very embarassed.

Me:We were just having a picnic and...

Paris:I know what it's like to be a kid.Sorry we disturbed you.We just normally play
Velocity here every week.

Me:That's ok.We were just finished.

Ryoko:Yeah.What's Velocity anyway?

Paris:A game.Really fast paced.If you wan to watch you'll see how.

Me:Alright.Maybe I'll give the winner a match afterwards.

I looked over at Harry to tell him not to mention what I could do to Paris.We watched the match
and it was pretty simple.One player was Red and the other was Blue.Each player had a Phaser
and had to shoot a spinning disc at a certain time.If the disc was red the blue player had
to shoot it,if it was blue the red player had to shoot it.If the disc hit you,you lost the
round.There were 10 rounds in all and whoever won the most rounds won the game.By the end of
the game Paris had won 6 rounds to 4.

Me:All right,Ready for a match with me?

Paris:You bet.

We took our positions at opposite ends of the holodeck and began the match.I was the Blue
player and he was the Red player.The disc started off Blue.Paris shot it almost immediatly and
it flew towards me.I instantly moved to the other side of the Holodeck and shot the disc.
Paris was so stunned at me moving so fast he dropped his guard and the disc hit him.

Paris:What the hell was that?

Me:A dodge.Ready to go again?

Paris:Er,yeah sure.

By the end of the game I had won 9 rounds to 10.Near the end he had a lucky break and I
accidently bumped into the wall as I was about to dodge.

Paris:That was amazing.I've never seen anyone move like that.

Me:It's nothing.Anyway,we better go.We should find the crystal tommorrow.Bye!

Me and Ryoko left the holodeck and went back to our quarters.We were so tired we just fell into
our beds.We didn't wake up the next morning until the captain told us we were near the crystal
but I better go to the bridge.We got out of bed,got ready and went up to the bridge.

Captain:We've found your crystal,unfortunatly the Borg found it first.

Me:What?

Captain:You crystal piece is inside a Borg ship.We're just about to enter their sensor
range.

Tuvok:Captain,incoming hail from the Borg ship.

Captain:Put it on screen.

A Borg drone appeared on the screen but this one was different.Her neck and head were almost
entirely organic but the rest of her body was completely cybernetic.I had been researching
the Borg and recognised this as the Borg queen.

Vegeta:So you're the one who stole my crystal.Return it immediatly!

Borg Queen:My,impatient aren't we?but I think you will find this crystal belongs to us now.
And so do you.

Harry:Captain,a Borg ship has dropped out of Transwarp near us.they'll be on top of us in 2
minutes.

Captain:Tom,get us out of here.

Paris:I'm trying but their de-stabalizing our warp field.

Captain:Janeway to Engineering what's going on?

Engineering:I don't know Captain.Somehow they've completely de-stabalized subspace in this
area.

Borg Queen:Escape is impossible.You will make excellent Drones.Especially you.

She looked over at me,Goku,Vegeta and Gohan.

Captain:Get her off my viewscreen!

The image of the Borg Queen vanished and was replaced with the image of a Borg Cube approaching
us.

Me:Captain,do you have any Space Suits?

Captain:Yes,why?

Me:Give me one.I'm gonna destroy that ship and then get our crystal back.I just need something
to let me breath in space.

Captain:Harry,beam him directly to Airlock 1.Janeway to Airlock 1,get an Environmental suit
ready now!

Voice:Aye captain.

I was transported to another room and a man started puttinga suit on me.

Man:Are you ready?

Me:Yeah.

Man:Good luck with whatever you're doing.

I walked into the airlock and the inner door closed behind me.The outer door then opened and
I could see the stars and the approaching Borg Cube.

Captain:Janeway to David.

Me:I hear you Captain.

Captain:Someone here wants to say something to you.

Ryoko:David,good luck and be careful.If something happened to you I don't know what I'd do.

Me:I'll be alright Ryoko.Don't worry about me.Now,lets do this.

I moved a little closer to the Borg Cube and began to power up an attack.

Me:KA-ME-HA-ME-HA!

I blasted the Cube and it was destroyed instantly.Another ship then appeared out of some kind
of green vortex.It looked weird and was diamond shaped.

Me:You want some too huh?Come get it!

Captain:Wait.That ship has the crystal piece.

Me:Well I'll bust in there and get it first.

Captain:Be careful,don't let the Drones ge too near you.

Me:Got it.

I flew at the Borg Diamond and blasted a hole in the hull.I blasted through a few bulkheads
and found the crystal fragment suspended in an energy field.I grabbed it and pulled it out of
the field.

Me:Now to get out of here and blow this thing to bits.

Voice:I think not.

I turned around and saw the Borg queen standing in the doorway to the chamber.

Me:And what makes you think you can stop me?

Borg Queen:If you try to leave I'll destroy Voyager.

Me:You won't have a chance.

Borg Queen:I already have weapons targeted on Voyager.If you leave this chamber then Voyager will
be destroyed.

Me:You'll pay for this.What is it you want?

Borg Queen:If you will stay here and be assimilated I'll spare Voyager and give them that
Crystal Fragment.

Ryoko:Don't do it David!You have to come back to me!

Captain:Destroy her!If you do her ship will be destroyed too!

Borg Queen:She's lying.If you destroy me Voyager will be destroyed.

Me:A chance I'll have to take!KAMEHAMEHA!

I blasted right through the Borg Queen and took out half the ship before I came out the way I
came as fast as I could.All the drones were going crazy and their components exploding.I just
got out of the ship as it exploded.Voyager just managed to beam me away in time.I was in the
Transporter Room and as soon as I materialized Ryoko ran up to me and hugged me.I was still
in the suit but hugged back as best I could.

Ryoko:I almost thought you were going to agree to her offer.

Me:I'd never do anything that would take you away from me.

I let go of Ryoko and pulled the helmet off.I then took the rest of the suit off and handed the
crystal piece to Vegeta.

Me:Here.But before we put this with the other fragments could we stay here one more day guys?
I just want to look around the rest of the ship.

Goku:All right.I guess we're not really in that much of a hurry.

We left the Transporter room and went back to our quarters.I fell asleep but woke up after a
few hours.It was late and Ryoko was asleep.I didn't want to wake her so I decided to walk
around the ship.I ended up in a large room with a lot of control panels.At the back of the
room was a large machine coloured in a kind of blue.I figured this must be Engineering.

Voice:Can I help you?

Me:huh?

I looked around and saw Torres,the Chief Engineer.

Me:I was just looking around the ship.Am I all right being here?

Torres:Sure,I'll show you around.

I was shown some of the controls and got a basic explanation of how the propulsion systems
worked.

Me:This is way more advanced than the Technology on my Earth.But some of this does look
familiar.I remember.The ship the others used had technology sort of like this.Do you have
a control panel I can use to try something in a simulation?

Torres:Sure,here.what are you going to do?

Me:Just try something.

I entered what I had seen on a control panel on the ship Goku and the others had arrived on
Earth in and combined it with Voyagers systems.I then ran the simulation which showed a
35% increase in the maximum speed.

Me:I knew it.If I combined the engine designs from both ships I could make the engines faster.

Torres:Incredible.Torres to Janeway.

Captain:Janeway here.

Torres:You better get to Engineering.I have something here you're going to like.

The Captain came to Engineering and I showed her the simulation.

Captain:This is amazing.

Me:Thanks.Consider this thanks for all your kindness since we arrived here.

I saw the time on one of the displays and noticed how long I had been here.

Me:I better go.The others are probably awake by now.

I left Engineering and went back to my quarters.Ryoko was awake and just doing her hair.

Me:Hi Ryoko.I don't think I've ever seen you with your hair down.

Ryoko:Yuo haven't have you?I just never thought about it.

Me:It looks good.

Her Pink hair went right down to just past her knees and flowed around her in places and some
still hung over her fringe.

Ryoko:Really?I never really thought about it.I always just wore my hair up.But I think I'll
still wear it up.I'll only wear it down for you.

Ryoko finished doing her hair and we met the others in one of the Cargo bays.

Me:Well,be seeing you Captain.Thanks for all your kindness.

Captain:And thank you for giving us a faster way home.

Vegeta:Can we please leave now?!

Me:Fine,put the crystal piece in.

Vegeta placed the crystal pieces together and it glowed bright blue.We were transported back
into the tunnel and fell into the bright light.When we woke up we were in a forest.
