Chapter 1 of The Darker Side Of The Moon: Destination

"What a polluted shit hole of a planet." Mizu stated staring out of her ship's window at a small planet that possessed huge turquoise oceans and little land mass (A/N I figure global warming has melted the ice caps in DBGT time). She pressed her face against the glass, "That's what happened when you don't take care of the planet you live on. It becomes a crappy place."

"They have a lot of global warming gases on that planet." Lynx's dull voice said, "It's no wonder it looks as you say 'crappy'."

"Global warming gases?" Mizu asked raising an eyebrow.

"Gases like chlorofluorocarbons, methane, ozone, carbon dioxide, water vapor-"

"I didn't ask for a science lecture." Mizu interrupted the computer in a cold tone. "Quit being such a know it all." Mizu berated Lynx, she couldn't stand being made off as some inferior being.

"Someone's not a social person." Lynx replied in her monotone voice, despite her not having emotions, she learned how to interact with people over time.

Mizu sighed and scratched the back of her neck, eyeing the planet in front of her with little interest. Cruse artificial intelligence, she thought somewhat bitterly, computers think they're so smart. "Anyways," Mizu said on a lighter note putting her thoughts in the back of her head, "Let's think about landing now." She stretched her arms and sat back on her pilot's seat. She looked at the navigation screen in front of her, "Lynx, map this planet's surface." she ordered and within a few short seconds the once blank screen showed an elaborate contour map of the Earth's surface.

"It seems the safest place to land without detection from the Earth's satellites is in this jungle area." Lynx responded indicating the area she meant by putting a red circle around it on the screen.

"What about the trees? Wouldn't we cause a lot of noise while landing with that jungle in the way?" Mizu asked curiously, tapping her right foot on the metal floor making a 'clink' sound every time she did so.

"It is not something to concern yourself with, by my calculations, it won't affect our landing too much." Lynx reassured Mizu.

"If you say so…" Mizu said turning on some witches in front of her and pressing some buttons that were flashing, "Prepare for landing Lynx."

"One more thing." Lynx said.

"What?"

"Don't forget to engage the force field around the ship or we might burn up in Earth's mesosphere." she told Mizu.

Mizu nodded, "Of course, that would be very bad." She hit a small blue button and a blurry aura of green light surrounded the ship. "I gotta up grade this force field…" Mizu muttered under her breath.

"What's wrong with a green force field?" Lynx inquired.

"You're a computer Lynx, shouldn't you know?" Mizu said looking at all the ship's screens to make sure the engine was working perfectly and that the power was at 100%.

"Well I don't." Lynx responded.

"There are four force fields that you can put around ships: red, green, purple and blue." Mizu explained, "Green is the second weakest force field and also has the shortest life span in battle."

"But we're not in a battle, we're merely landing." Lynx said.

"Yeah, well we've had this force field for ages and there's no telling when it's going to die on us." Mizu said sharply, "Anyway, let's just land." She flipped one more switch and than gripped the steering wheel and aimed the ship downwards at a slight angle. "Begin descent Lynx!" Mizu commanded.

"Yes Mizu."

The ship lurched forward and began hurtling down towards the Earth, Mizu struggled to keep her grip on the steering wheel as the ship lunged through Earth's atmosphere. The ship began bouncing around, making Mizu shake violently as she held onto the steering. As they went through the clouds, a whole mess of green trees became visible beneath them and with a loud crash sound they landed roughly on the ground.

Mizu wiped the small beads of sweat off her face, "I hate landings…" she grumbled looking out of the window in front of her. There were a few knocked over trees, but her sip hadn't done any major damage to the jungle. "It could have been worse I guess." she muttered through clenched teeth as she stood up.

"By my calculations, you're right it could have been a lot worse-"

"Don't start that." Mizu scolded the computer, "I don't want to have another argument with an inanimate object, okay Lynx?"

"I'm not an inanimate object, I'm A.I." Lynx said.

"Whatever," Mizu mumbled, "Let's get started, I don't want to stay on this planet longer than needed, so first things first."

"I'll scan the planet for-"

"I said first things first Lynx." Mizu cut her off again, "And that means a change in wardrobe for me." She looked at the denim jacket she was wearing with it's ripped cuffs and at the short skirt she was wearing, than finally examined her dusty boots. "I'm going to change." She went to her room on the ship and ruffled around for a half hour than emerged wearing something completely different from before.

Mizu had put on black leather boots that had silver buckles on the part of the boot facing out and underneath the boots she had black fishnet stockings reaching up just below the length of her tight black skirt. She had put on a chain belt that twinkled whenever the sunlight hit it. Her shirt revealed her pierced belly button and the sleeves were made of chain mail. To top off her outfit, she had put on fingerless black gloves and had let her long silver hair drape over her shoulders. She had hidden her switchblade in the back packet of her skirt and had placed her pistol on the back part of her belt.

"You look like a dominatrix." Lynx commented.

Mizu rolled her eyes, "Thanks Lynx." She ran her fingers through her hair and smiled, "So, let's get down to business."

"Now that you have taken care of your sex appeal." Lynx said.

"Shut up!" Mizu demanded. "Just do your scanning thing." She sat down in her chair and glared at the computer.

"Alright." Lynx responded. Her screen flickered for a moment than showed a detailed map of the Earth.

"Search for high energy levels." Mizu ordered tapping her foot on the ground impatiently.

Lynx's screen began tracing for energy levels and after a few moments, zeroed in on a company in Japan, Capsule Corp.

Mizu tilted her head, "Isn't that the most successful and richest business on this planet?"

"Yes." Lynx said, bringing up a picture of the dome shaped building that was Capsule Corp.

"Great," Mizu sighed, "These saiyans are rich bastards." She stood up and stretched her arms than her legs. "Well, let's get going. Where's my hover cycle?" (A/N hover cycle is like a motor cycle that flies, creative aren't I? ;p)

"In the garage." Lynx said turning off her screen and opening the ship's garage that was initially supposed to used for supply storage, but Mizu had found other uses for it.

"Okay than." Mizu stated as she went into the garage and flung her right leg over the cycle than turned it on by typing in a password on it's mini screen, "Is it linked up to you?" Mizu asked Lynx.

"Yes." Lynx said.

"Can you give me a map on the screen for the way to Capsule Corp?" Mizu inquired stepping the cycle's pedal, readying to go.

"Already did." Lynx answered, "And if added a communication link just in case you need help. Just ask me."

Mizu nodded, "Good, be back soon." She stepped on the pedal and twisted the handle bar and went speeding off in the direction of Capsule Corp.
