The days passed in an emotionless blur. Hours would seem like minutes, weeks would seem like days. Trunks's light-bulb flickered on and off as Trunks cursed at papers scattered about on his dark wood desk.

"DAMN!" He shuffled reports off his desk in an invisible whirlwind.

"Nothing, nothing at all!" His angered voice echoed into the halls. For three weeks he had been studying the dragon balls and the location of them. What he had gathered had almost been enough but just when he was on the verge, it crumpled back where he had started. Damn… DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! His mental fury flushed out as it became physical. He screamed upward tilting his head to the ceiling flipping his desk over. Fuck! What am I to do? What is there to live to?! Screw it! Screw it all! Lightning bolts shattered out of his fingertips as it cracked through the blank grey ceiling. A giant hole ignited upward as the energy left the top of the entire structure exposing the night sky.

He tried to calm his rapid breathing as he sunk into his bed. He sighed greatly staring at the newly-found sun roof. Shining stars glittered into his eyes revealing a crescent shape moon. His eyebrows twitched inward leaving a confused expression. Space… Space! That's it! He shot out of bed flipping papers to each side until he finally stopped at a paper titled `New Namek'. He shuffled it open scanning the report on the planet. He read through papers about the inhabitants, the agriculture, the moons, and then finally the dragon balls. How could I have been so blind? Is that how stupid I really am?

Bulma practically ripped open the door as she flew to her son. "What the hell is your problem," she began. "I've got two dead, and ten injured, all because of your childish rage!" Her tone settled down as she heaved in a sigh. "Listen, I know how you feel, I feel it everyday. But you must accept the truth of it. They're dead; all of them. And we can't do a thing. But we must get over it. That's what people do. People don't just go around wishing for the dragon for the perished. You just have to let them go…" She lowered her head softly. Trunks went to his mother as he lifted her chin up, gazing into her old eyes. "Get a space pod ready, were going to New Namek"

Trunks entered the pod from an extended staircase that surfaced the ground. The pod was large, almost enormous. It had room for five people and had the luxury for them. It was complete with the main deck, the living quarters, and the diner.

The scabbard of his sword bounced up and down as he restlessly sunk down into the pilot's chair. He hadn't had any sleep the last night. He was too excited about everything. For close to a month he had been searching, his search was over. His head tilted upward as he read the countdown clock: 4:07. Four hours he would be leaving Earth. He had wanted sooner but his mother had argued that it was too much of a surprise and they didn't have enough supplies. So he had to wait. But the waiting was unbearable. His eyes slowly began to close as he put his two hands together forming a pillow on the side of the seat. He was too tired. He rolled back into his chair as he began a deep sleep.

The soft hum of an engine awoke Trunks as he quickly digested his surrounding. The launching! He flung out of his room in the pod and ran to the main deck. Corridors passed as he climbed a ladder and ran through another passage as he finally got to the deck. He wasn't surprised to see his mother be there for she was the one who started the pod.

"I see you have awoken Trunks" The soft voice of Bulma went into his ears. "Yes," he quickly replied. "How long have I been asleep?"

"For about ten hours"

"WHAT!" He screamed, bewildered by her statement. He went to the nearest window; blackness filled it.

He was in space.

"How did I sleep through the launching?"

Bulma's arm extended out of the pilot's chair as she shook a bottle in her hands labeled `Kouina'.

His eyes enlarged. "You gave me sleeping pills, what for?"

She sighed. "Trunks you haven't gone to sleep for five whole days! Did you think I would just let you torture yourself like that? So I gave you some drugs, but who really cares? We'll be there in six hours…"

Trunks grinned. He would be more than happy to see his old friends again. It had been so long. What if everyone aged up there? Nine years is a lot of time. What if Goku aged?! He slightly giggled. He'd be like sixty-five years old! He shook his head in embarrassment. His mother was looking at him.

Trunks walked away from the scene and noticed he was hungry. His stomach was trembling. He rubbed his abdomen in comfort. He went down the main deck ladder and opened the door to the diner. It was larger than living quarters rooms, but not as big as the main deck. He walked into the diner. Black and white tiles mirrored his reflection as he made a steady pace to the bar-like table. He sat on the tall chair as he searched at the columns of food on the other side of the wall. He made a quick glance to his watch. It read 12:09. Lunch… good! Trunks slammed down a blue button on the counter.

Immediately the stacks of food that were encased in glass fell out of their grip of the mechanical hand that was pressing down on them and gently rolled to the counter. The gigantic vending machines towered over him as he pressed in a few buttons in a built-in computer on the counter. Suddenly the glass lowered to the ground as it disappeared into the tiled floor. The meal he wanted tilted upward ever so slightly as it ejected into the air. The plastic wrapped sandwich opened up a hidden parachute as it strode towards Trunks from above.

The sandwich gently made a thud as it hit Trunks's hand. The man quickly unwrapped the plastic and started eating. When he was finished he went up to the main deck once again.

"TRUNKS! YOU KNUCKLE HEAD!" Bulma screamed as he got up from the ladder. He cowered down in innocence. "What? What I do?"

Her angry expression made him want to go to bed again. She sighed. "You" She pointed a fiery finger at him, "For got to awaken androids 19 and 16!" Now he remembered. Guess I was too distracted with my work.

"Don't worry, there still sleeping. What harm could it do?"

"I guess your right; you do have more experience with androids than me…" She trailed off.

"Yeh, so when this ordeal is all settled, I'll activate them and most likely destroy them"

She nodded. "Okay Trunks, well it won't be for another six hours until we land so go off to bed again" She winked as she extended her arm up again shaking the pills. He grinned.

Trunks yawned as he jumped out of bed. He looked at his watch. It read 5:20. Six hours were up! He ran to his tiny window on the side of his wall. He peered through it. His eyes enlarged as a gigantic planet lay staring at him in the vastness of space. It was a magnificent light green with a hint of blue swirls flying around it. "Namek…"

When the circular pod finally reached the atmosphere of the green planet their space shuttle went up in flames of chaos! Fire latched on to everything on the white pod. Its heat digging into the outside tiles and demolishing the ships controls. The main frame battery fried…

Trunks viciously screamed, "MOM! WE'RE GOING TO DIE!" He looked out of the front window one last time and then shielded his head. The only light was the back up ones; even they were a little dim.

Bulma's hands were everywhere at once trying to find the refuel packet hidden inside the ship's core. All of the monitors from the enormous pod popped up on one huge screen. Her eyes desperately scanned the holograms. Then her eyes came upon a gargantuan jet pack. She grinned with relief. The woman's feet scurried to the back of the ship. She leapt at the pack. She grabbed it and tried to pick it up… Nothing! It had to be a couple of tons! She screamed in the air, "Trunks, hurry back here!" The boy in an instant flashed to the scene. He questioned, "What is it mom?"

Bulma looked at the pack. Trunks nodded. The boy put one hand under it a lifted with ease. He cried, "Well, where do I put it?"

Bulma raced to a hidden department on the ground and opened it up. She answered, "In here but there's a fried one in there bound to be thousands of pounds!"

Trunks put the oval pack down and jumped to the empty one. He bent down and grabbed the empty one and threw it somewhere leaving a huge dent into the shuttle. He flicked the full one into the hole and quickly shut it. They waited about two seconds and the bright lights that once flooded the ship quickly came right on. A voice then appeared out of nowhere in a robotic voice `Ready'.

Trunks jumped up in surprise. He let a frightful whisper, "Who said that mom?" Bulma smiled at her boy's stupidity and answered. "It was the ship Trunks, were going to be all right" She then started to laugh as the woman raced to the pilot's chair.

The ship went straight down out of the atmosphere and screamed through the greenish planet. The pod heaved through the air and slammed and dug through the surface leaving a large crater.
