I was given rest time at Kami's look out and when I woke up I saw Bulma sitting next to me and I looked at her and sat up. "Bulma." I blinked.
She smiled at me. "It's okay Lee. I'm just checking on you. Alethea said she got a message from Goku that you were here. So I brought her here. I'm giving Trunks some time to himself. I don't like lying to him. But if I have to-." She sighed.
I nodded slowly. "When I'm recovered I'll get to the lab I promise."
She smiled at me. "You take your time. They could be waiting for you."
"Seventeen is so going to want me dead now." I smirked.
Bulma looked at me. "I'm not even going to ask. Just stay alive we need those parts I can't do anything until I get them." She said.
I nodded. "I know." I paused or a moment. "They know I have the plans Bulma."
Bulma looked at me. "It doesn't matter. They were bound to find out."
"Is Alethea here?" I asked.
"She is, she with Mr. Popo outside."
I stretched and I felt each of my joints aching in pain. But I didn't show it.
"You understand you will stay here until you've had the baby. I've told Chi-chi you're okay and passed on the news about Gohan." Bulma said.
I looked at Bulma worried. "Oh is Chi-chi okay?" I asked.
Bulma looked at me sadly. "She's hurt but she's taken responsibility for Pan."
I sighed sadly. I could still see in my mind the energy blasts that took Gohan's life.
I felt Bulma place a hand on my shoulder. "Just live a little bit longer Lee. We'll watch over Trunks and Alethea now."
"Remember to give her Yamcha's cap." I said quickly.
Bulma smiled. "Do you want me to pick it up from Yamcha's place?" She asked.
I nodded. "Yes please."
Bulma gave me a hug. "You've been through alot Lee. Just rest, and have a healthy baby." She stood up and went to walk out, she stopped at the door and turned round and smiled at me. "I'm glad your okay." With that she walked out.
I sat there for a long while and looked down at my stomach. I stood up eventually and looked round the quarters I had been resting in. Alethea came bouncing in and she hugged me. "mom!" I hugged her back and she just kept hugging me.
"I'm here." I smiled and rubbed her back as I felt her begin to cry.
"It hurts. Gohan he's-" I felt her begin to cry more.
I just held her. "I know. We'll be okay though. I promise."
She pulled back from the hug and she looked at me. Alethea pulled back and she looked at me. "You should have the baby like really soon mom, because what if those androids go to Gero's lab and like totally waste it?"
I blinked. "What has that got to do with me having the baby?" I asked.
"Well you're not allowed to leave here until you've had it." She replied.
I blinked. "You're kidding me right?" I asked.
Alethea shook her head. "Nope. Bulma said cause the chances of Trunks picking up your power level are like really huge."
"That means you have to come here for me to train you?" I asked.
Alethea nodded. "Yeah." She replied.
"Well I'm sorry but there's still like at the least eight months to go."
Alethea smiled. "Not if we go in to the hyperbolic time chamber."
"Oh no! We are not using the hyperbolic time chamber just so I can have my baby tomorrow!" I exclaimed.
Alethea pouted. "Awwwww."
I looked at her and shook my head hurriedly. "I'm going to go to Gero's lab now see if he's got those parts." I said and Alethea looked at me.
"I'll stay here cause if Trunks doesn't sense me and he senses you he could think it's me." She said. "Beside I like Mr Popo's gardens they're nice... oh and he makes the best meals out!!" She said.
I nodded slowly. "Okay... you're waiting on food aren't you?" I asked.
Alethea grinned. "Heck yeah!"
I smiled and I gave her a hug. "I'll be back shortly."
I placed two fingers to my forehead and locked on to the mini Cell's power level and I instant transmissioned in to the lower level of Dr. Gero's lab.
I looked at the tank with Cell in it. "I'm wigging everytime I see you." I muttered.
I pulled out the plans and looked at the parts I was suppose to find and I frowned. "Ack these are like tiny things. How on earth am I suppose to find things so small?"
I walked up to Cell's tube and I put my hand on it and I looked at him inside there, I felt a cold shiver run down my spine. I looked over my shoulder and I looked at the lift entrance as I heard the lift start I looked round and I quickly hid behind the main computer. I heard the lift open and I peeked out to see Eighteen helping Seventeen in.
"You'll be okay we'll find you some replacement parts." She said.
"That bitch is going to pay for that." Seventeen muttered.
"Too bad we need these parts for your repairs or we'd destroy this place so she can't get them also." Eighteen said.
Seventeen looked at her. "We're suppose to be indestructible how did that half saiyan do that? how could she knock me flat. Those energy balls were no bigger than a basket ball in each hand." He remarked.
I sucked in a breath and ducked back behind the computer I heard the two androids wander round the lab.
"I got a look at the files on her too through the good doctor's computer. It appears she was the first super saiyan on earth. And she trained under Goku up until he died. She knows all his moves and she's able to create attacks with only a couple months of practice. Her techniques are so much different. Instead of her energy it seems she pulls something foreign in something stronger each time." Eighteen remarked I heard her help Seventeen sit down.
"She's a witch Eighteen that's got to be it. There has to be a way to kill a witch."
"According to the books it's by cooking her in an oven or something."
I blinked and frowned. 'oven?' I mouthed out and shook my head. She had obviously been looking in the wrong books.
"But there are so many different stories. Alot of people think Witches are immortals. Which could be why we haven't managed to kill her yet." Eighteen remarked.
"Hey watch it!" I heard Seventeen snap.
"Stay still and it won't hurt so much. You big baby." She growled back at him.
I heard Seventeen grumble to himself.
"We need more information on this witch thing. Take away that advantage and she'll be an easy kill like blondie." Eighteen added.
I closed my eyes. 'Gohan.' I felt myself miss him so much.
"No that takes the fun out of it Eighteen."
"Your fun nearly got your circuits fried. So we do this my way or no way." She said.
I heard Seventeen sigh. "She's not completely a witch remember she is half saiyan, that side of her we can defeat. We'll use that against her."
I leant up against the computer and I heard a blurp sound of the tank as air generated through it. "So we have to get her by her saiyan side. Well I have to say like you she'll still be recovering." Eighteen remarked. "Okay you're done. Good as new."
"When she next shows her face. It's payback time." Seventeen said and I heard him stand up. I heard the two of them walk back to the lift and it started up again and I peeked round the computer and watched as it rose up. They vanished from view and I sighed. I got up and saw the pile of box parts sitting on Gero's desk.
I raced up to the desk and I pulled the plans out and went through the box. "No, no, no, no... damnit, no..." I looked up at the lift then over to a door wide open and I picked the plans up and walked in to the room, I saw the room was huge with spare parts in boxes on shelves going on like a library should.
I scratched my head. "This could take a while." I said to myself.
So close no matter how far
couldn't be much more from the heart
forever trusting who we are
and nothing else matters
never opened myself this way
life is ours, we live it our way
all these words I don't just say
and nothing else matters
I ran my hand along the shelf looking at all the boxes. When I felt a presence behind me and I looked over my shoulder to the doorway and I looked at Gohan's ghost standing there. I looked at his halo and he gave me a comforting half smile. I saw he had both his arms.
"Gohan..." I watched as he came in to the room and he looked at me.
There was complete silence but just seeing him was enough for me.
trust I seek and I find in you
every day for us something new
open mind for a different view
and nothing else matters
I felt the tears sting my eyes as he wrapped both his arms round me and he kissed me on the top of my head. "Don't leave me again." I said softly.
He looked down so sympathetic. "I have to go Lee. Just meet me at King Kai's. I'll wait for you." His lips touched mine and I looked at him.
"I'll be there." I said softly.
"Do me a favour rest up and come back to this later. I don't want you dying before your time." Gohan said.
I looked at him. "But-" I began.
"Lee please." He said.
I looked in to his eyes and I sighed defeated.
"I guess so."
He smiled at me. "Well I guess I should say good-bye. Just for now."
I looked at him and I hugged him again.
never cared for what they do
never cared for what they know
but I know
so close no matter how far
couldn't be much more from the heart
forever trusting who we are
and nothing else matters
never cared for what they do
never cared for what they know
but I know
Gohan stepped back. "Go on now. Get to safety Lee."
I nodded and I placed two fingers to my forehead and I instant transmissioned out of there. At least I knew where Gero's parts were stored in his secret lab. It was just a shame the mad doctor wasn't a bit cleaner.
never opened myself this way
life is ours, we live it our way
all these words I don't just say
I arrived not far from where Bulma was in the cemetery, she didn't tell me she was heading there, but then I guess I knew why. So Trunks wouldn't know. I looked at the plans in my hands. When I was ready I would face the androids again. But there was more important things to deal with. Like Alethea's training.
I kept low watching Gohan's burial in the cemetery. I knew Bulma was in a hurry to leave. I hadn't realised it had been three days already. I saw Trunks standing there looking at the grave his head lowered.
I saw the grave marked for Gohan and I saw Trunks look up and I ducked quickly as he looked in my direction. I kept low and out of sight until they'd all left the cemetery.
trust I seek and I find in you
every day for us something new
open mind for a different view
and nothing else matters
I got up and walked to the grave and looked down at it. I picked up a flower from the grave that was suppose to be mine and I placed it on top of Gohan's tombstone and I looked at the grave. "I know you're watching over me. I know you all are. But this is for you." I whispered. "In my world the tradition behind the flowers on the grave is to help the deceased, when and if they rise from the grave, that their life in this world has ended and that there is no coming back. It's the end of something and yet the beginning of another. I'll see you at King Kai's." I kissed my fingertip and touched the tombstone.
never cared for what they say
never cared for games they play
I stood up slowly and I walked away from the grave and I looked over my shoulder to see Gohan's ghost standing by his grave watching me. He picked up the flower and I felt his gaze my way. I saw him smile and he stepped back holding the rose and he seemed to vanish from sight. I turned round and I walked away from the cemetery.
never cared for what they do
never cared for what they know
and I know
They say third time lucky- well who ever said that wasn't right. I had three major loves in my life and each one was gone before I even knew what I wanted to do with my life or with them in my life. Now all I knew was that my heart wasn't going to be opened up to anyone else. There was no one left to love me or for me to love. I closed my eyes and I sat down on a rock on the outside of the cemetery and I watched as on occasion a car would speed past kicking up dust. My mind was off in thought. I looked round myself taking in the what I could see left of this world. The disaster was unbearable. But what more could I do. I wasn't strong enough alone. I would never be strong enough. I heard a snap of a twig and I turned round and I looked at Bulma as she came up to me. I stood up and I pulled the plans out and I handed them to her.
"I looked in Gero's lab, there's too many parts to go through for the androids not to get suspicious." I said softly.
Bulma looked at me sincerely. "You're giving up aren't you Lee?" She asked.
"No I'm just going to focus on one thing at a time. First thing's first is my children. I'm going to train Alethea. and have this baby. I'm going to give him the best first four years of his life." I remarked.
Bulma hugged me and she looked at me. "Don't forget call me when the child's been born." She said.
I nodded. "I'll call you I promise."
We parted from the hug and I saw Bulma look at me worriedly.
"Have a healthy baby." She added.
I smiled at her. "I will."
I placed two fingers to my forehead and I instant transmissioned back to Kami's lookout.
so close no matter how far
couldn't be much more from the heart
forever trusting who we are no
nothing else matters
I arrived on the lookout and I walked back to the quarters where I had been staying and I fell back on to the bed tired and I looked up at the ceiling. But looking up at that ceiling I realised now I was going to be truly alone. I had lost all contact with Goku and the others in otherworld which meant my abilities were leaving me as I was closing in closer to my own demise. I knew I would no longer be able to see the dead. Part of it was saddening but it was also a relief. If I could no longer see them- I knew I would always be able to sense them. No matter what.

When Tae was born I felt like a sudden weight had been lifted from my burdened shoulders. Alethea looked at him and she grinned. "That's my baby brother?"
I nodded. "Yeah."
"He's so cute. And tiny." She touched the side of his face.
"His name is Tae." I said.
"Tae." Alethea repeated. "It's nice it's small and it's simple. Will he be as strong as Gohan?" She asked me.
I shrugged. "If he's trained properly."
Alethea frowned. "But no one here's to train him."
I looked at her. "You are. And so is Trunks."
Alethea looked at me. "You really think I'm ready to train someone?"
"Not just yet. But shortly." I replied.
Alethea smiled again. She seemed so happy and I felt that happiness seep in to me.
"Gohan would be proud of you." I said to the baby. I looked to the door . 'I did it guys I moved on with my life. Even though it was hard I did it.' I thought.

What transpired over the next few moths was my training Alethea the best I could and Bulma taking her shopping for a true outfit to fight in. We took turns doing what we could for her. Trunks spent his time in solitude and on occasion, he would return to the house with Bulma having a fit at him about not knowing where he was or if he was even dead. Alot of times it was a close call at being spotted by Trunks. I don't know why I hid but just til he was out of sight, then I'd make my leave using the instant transmission.
But this day was the day I would leave for otheworld as Bulma paced in front of me the plans for the controller. She looked at me as we stood over the table as she laid them down and then next to it the controller itself.
"Bulma." I breathed looking at it. I picked it up in my hands and looked at it carefully. Alethea stood leaning up against the door frame watching and sensing for Trunks arrival back. He'd been gone this time for two weeks without word.
Alethea wore the newest in Bulma battle fashions. Blue trousers with one trouser leg covered the other not there, rimmed in pink. A small pink holter top rimmed in orchid. With matching fingerless gloves. Her hair was pulled back in simple pony tail fashion. the way she stood at the door leaning against it so nonchalantly reminded me of her father. She was so much like him, sometimes she would be afraid of what was to happen to her, other times she'd complain and whine but still go out there to face it.
"Be careful with that Lee. It's missing one part, and that's the part that is in that room at Dr. Gero's lab." Bulma replied. "But there is another way round this."
I looked at Bulma suddenly. "There is?"
"Otherworld. Find the spirit of my father, get him to tell you the place where we can locate it. A safer place than at Gero's lab where those androids sleep. I'm not sending you to your death." Bulma remarked.
I placed the controller down on the table.
Alethea looked over briefly, her saiyan tail twitched I looked at her. It hung loosely behind her and she sighed leaning her head back and up against the door frame and she blew at her fringe looking bored.
"Otherworld huh? So I take the plans then?" I asked.
Bulma nodded. "The controller is made, all we need is that one part and I'll never forget where it goes."
I stood up and I looked at Alethea. She stood up straight. "Mom." She blinked.
"I'll be okay." I said to her softly and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"If you see dad tell him I say hi." She gave me a hug.
We heard the door open and close. "Mom I'm back!" Trunks voice filled the hallway.
Alethea pushed me in to the room. "Go."
"I want you if thins heat up to take refuge at Kame house okay?"
Alethea nodded at me and she smiled. "I will. Now you go."
I nodded and Bulma handed me the plans and I placed them behind my belt at the back under the jacket and placing two fingers to my forehead I used the instant transmission and vanished from there.

I arrived first in bridge town hoovering in the air I had to. I wanted them to feel me here. The androids. I don't know why I wanted to make Seventeen look bad for what he did. They said that next time they saw me they were going to kill me. I knew Eighteen had a thing for that whole saying something then doing it and if ya didn't it made the person look bad. Well that's what I had in mind I was just going to knock their arrogance down a few more notches.
I had the plans perfectly hidden and I flew round over the town, why bridge town? Something from the TV show made me came to this town. and as I was flying it was then I felt eighteen land a hit in and knock me out of the sky. I hit the ground in a crater like fashion and I looked up to see them both hoovering there. I jumped up and stayed seated on the ground I smirked and waved at them tauntingly.
"You are so dead!!!" Seventeen shouted at me and he charged at me and I phased out and then behind him spinning round I landed a perfect spinning hook kick knocking him to the side he spun round and looked at me.
"You said next time you saw me that you were going to kill me." I remarked.
Eighteen landed next to her brother.
"I did. So what's it to you?" Seventeen growled.
I smirked. "you'll have to wait till the time after that." I remarked.
"What makes you think we're going to let you leave here alive?" Eighteen asked.
I pulled out the plans and I waved them at the two androids and I smirked.
"I have an idea." Seventeen said to his sister. "Get those plans. We could use them..."
"For what?" Eighteen asked.
"To convert her daughter." He added with a smirk.
I rolled my eyes. "As if I knew that wasn't coming I drooled."
Seventeen growled at me. "You shut-up!"
I laughed at him, I knew he was beginning to get frustrated.
"Neh- Make me." I teased in imitation of Rangi from the footrot Flats animated movie. That was one of my favorite lines from the kiwi movie.
I then turned round and flew off.
They fired several blasts after me which I ducked and dodged quiet easily. I had no why idea why I was in top notch condition today and not even a super saiyan. I guessed it was for once I felt no pressure of needing to protect anybody but myself. That and I was fairly relaxed. I turned round a corner behind a building and dodged some more as energy blasts shot through the building making it collapse.
I flew over to a deserted area and I landed lowering my energy level to that of a normal human. They hadn't located me yet. So I took advantage of threat and waited. the explosions were everywhere through out the town as they tried to locate me. I looked round. I was really on top of it that day. It made me wonder how on earth they get the better of me in four years time. The buildings continued to collapse as they blasted away and finally I powered up to super saiyan.
Two seconds later they were on top of me with energy attack after energy attack. I moved fairly quickly and easily the plans still tightly in my hand. I hated myself for showing them that I had them. It was obviously the inspiration for turning Alethea in to an android. But I couldn't change that now. I watched as they suddenly stopped firing energy attacks and they then began to move in simular motion mirroring each other. My eyes went wide.
'I've teased them a bit too much.' I thought remembering the move as the one that they used against Gohan on the day of his demise.
They then charged as one and I powered up and charged at their double attack, they came straight at me and I flew right at then at the last moment I phased out leaving a ghost behind as they charged right through that.
I phased back in to sight behind them and they spun round. I realised I shouldn't fool around anymore with them before I went to the otherworld unintentionally dead.
I waved the plans at them teasingly one last time.
"Nice playing but I'm late for a date, see you in four years." I smirked.
I placed two fingers against my forehead and I instant transmissioned right out of there.

I arrived at King Yemma's check in point he looked at me. "You're not dead."
I smiled and waved. "I should be I know."
I looked behind me as King Yemma's people all stared at me widely.
"She's alive..." one of them breathed.
Rubbing the back of my neck I looked up at King Yemma. "You're all powerful so you should know the situation on earth. I'm here to get help to stop it before more people die." I said.
King Yemma flipped open the book and he looked inside and nodded.
"Very well you may go, but the soul you are looking for even I don't know where he went, he could be anywhere except the H.F.I.L." King Yemma said.
"So long as he still has his energy I'll trace him." I said and placed two fingers to my forehead. King Yemma looked at me.
"He does but it's a different energy now that he's dead."
I stopped and looked at him. "You're kidding me right? I have to actually look?"
King Yemma smiled in amusement. "I'm right. It should be good for you."
I sighed. "So who's on King Kai's at the moment?"
"You're friend Krillen, Goku, Gohan and Piccolo." King Yemma replied.
I nodded. "They have their bodies right?"
"Of course."
"Right then I'll lock on to them and get King Kai to help me out then."
"Good luck."
I smiled and placed two fingers to my forehead and I instant transmissioned out of there. It had only been a few month since I'd seen Gohan. It would feel weird seeing him and Goku together. My stomach turned in knots as I arrived on the planet.
King Kai was in the middle of a lesson for Krillen when he stopped and so did Goku from his training and they looked at me. Gohan looked up from the press ups he was doing. He jumped to his feet and looked at me worriedly.
"Lee. They didn't-" He stopped and looked above my head. "They didn't." He repeated and smiled. He came up to me and hugged me. I hugged him back.
"Good to see you're doing okay." I said softly.
He smiled. "This is that mission you knew you'd have to do isn't it?" He asked.
"Yeah one part is all we need to make the controller to shut the androids down and I need Dr. Briefs, but even king Yemma can't locate him and all the souls here look alike." I frowned. "I kinda need King Kai's help to locate him."
King Kai looked at me and he smiled. "Well first before I offer you any sort of help you must tell me a joke." he said.
Gohan, Goku and Krillen fell over anime style and I looked at King Kai.
"But I didn't come here to train. I came here because the earth needs to be saved."
"No joke no help." King Kai said stubbornly.
I let out a sigh. "But I left my joke book in my other jacket."
King Kai looked at me. "You have a joke book?"
I nodded. "Well cha. I have several."
"Tell me one from the top of your head."
"But it'll sound stupid."
"Tell me or I won't help."
I looked at Gohan who shrugged. "Hey don't look at me I used your joke to get my training here. And I gave Krillen the other one."
