Chapter 10 - The Prince's Confidence
Vegeta lapped at the light flecks of blood that flooded to the surface of Goku's skin. His tongue trailed lazily through
the wound, as Goku tried to regain his breath from his third orgasm since they started in the shower.
Goku's body trembled at the contact of Vegeta's mouth. Goku lay on the tiled floor, his hair fanned out around his flushed
face. A steady stream from one of the showerheads splashed off the tiles just a couple of inches away from his torso.
Vegeta sat up and surveyed his work. Vegeta had continued his biting torture after his climax. There were little love nips
all over Goku's body -- one at the nape of Goku's neck, one at each nipple, his inner thigh, one small bite in the delicate
flesh above the curling dark hair of Goku's groin, above his right knee, on the inside of his left wrist and one fresh bite
on his pelvic bone just above his hip.
The larger Saiyan blinked his eyes in delirium. Goku's body was spent from the feelings of agony and pleasure delivered by
the Saiyan Prince's smirking mouth over the past half hour. Vegeta wouldn't have continued with his little oral torture
had Goku complained or fought against him. In fact, Goku had shuddered into each bite, his eyes full of lust and pleasure
even as he cried out in agony. The last little bite was one of the more painful ones on delicate flesh so near Goku's
genitals. Vegeta had made sure to brush Goku's erection all throughout his oral exploration, usually with his face, or
lightly with his hands. It was when he made the last love bite on Goku's pelvis, just right of Goku's burgeoning hard-on,
that Goku's body finally gave in to the sensations flooding it and he released in an overflow of creamy white liquid.
Vegeta trailed a possessive hand up Goku's body from thigh up to chest, brushing through several small wounds, causing Goku
to jump slightly. Dazed eyes stared up at Vegeta in complete trust. Vegeta smiled down at Goku, then leaned down to plant
a soft kiss against his lips.
Vegeta, sated, didn't need anymore sex that night, having brought the larger Saiyan to such a state. But something did
occur as Vegeta began to hear a strange sound rumble from his abdomen.
Vegeta needed food.
Vegeta lifted his head from Goku's lips as both of them heard the gurgle. As if in answer, a beastly, hollow echo
reverberated in the room as Goku's hunger spoke up for attention.
"I'm starving!" Goku practically screamed.
Vegeta jumped up on to his feet and held his pruned hand out to Goku to help him up. Once up, Goku ran off to the kitchen
without hesitation, stark naked as he was. Vegeta lingered behind to shut down the showerheads, both of which now ran with
cold water.

Chomping on a 1/2 inch slice of baked ham, Goku noisily asked, "Do you think it's daylight yet? It's been a few hours."
Trying to be a little less noisy than Goku, but too hungry to really bother with good manners, Vegeta answered as he bit a
chicken leg. Nearly wolfing down all the meat off of it in one bite, "I don't think so. We can sleep for a couple of
hours first. Then we'll be sure to be out of danger."
Goku gathered up the bread bowl full of buttered mashed potatoes, lightly salted, and using the wooden mixing spoon to
deposit a heaping spoonful into his mouth, Goku asked, "Oh, you want to sleep?"
Popping six kalamata olives in his mouth, Vegeta countered, "Well, aren't you tired after your little water park ride?"
Goku laughed around a spoonful of candied yams. "I guess, a little."
Vegeta smirked, then dipped his head down to his noodle bowl, wolfing down the contents of his miso ramen. He came back up
with a fishcake still pressed between his sharp teeth. He said, "I'm excited Kakarot. Think! We'll play a pivotal part
in our people's power and dominance over this planet. And as their Prince, we can take it even further - to the rest of
the universe! We can only achieve greatness with our combined power."
Goku's chin dripped from steak gravy, his steak and eggs' plate nearly cleaned as he gave Vegeta a concerned look. "But,
Vegeta..."
Vegeta interrupted Goku, to continue around a mouth full of two fried egg rolls. "And without that bastard Frieza, we will
prosper, beyond the limits of imagination. We never had that chance, Kakarot. THINK..."
Almost choking on the lamb chop in his mouth, Goku interrupted Vegeta, "Vegeta, you're not their Prince."
Vegeta, mouth filled with four roasted brussel sprouts, as he held a mug of dark beer to his lips, ready to down it heartily
in one gulp, stopped and stared at Goku askance.
Kindly, digging his chopsticks into a bowl of pot-stickers, Goku continued, "Vegeta, if they are just now fighting the
Saiyan/Tuffle war, then they haven't even had the chance to, well, have Prince's and stuff."
Vegeta, beginning to look annoyed as he downed his beer, reaching for a hunk of multigrain bread, generously buttered,
corrected, "You mean a monarchy."
"Right!" Goku pointed with a soft bread stick to confirm what Vegeta said. "A monarchy. They haven't even had a chance
to set anything up, I'm sure." Goku stuck the entire foot long breadstick in his mouth in one bite. Vegeta couldn't help
but arch his eyebrows suggestively at Goku. Goku was too busy chewing to catch the look.
Thoughtful, Vegeta picked up a slice of deep-dish pizza. He blew at the piping hot sauce bubbling to the surface as he
said, "Well, isn't it good fortune for them that I'm here." Vegeta took a large bite of the slice. "I can guide them,
you know, show them the way." Vegeta smiled devilishly at Goku.
Goku, looking troubled, reached for one of the remaining slices of lasagna. "Vegeta, they will probably consider us
outsiders. They won't like our interference."
Vegeta, stared at Goku, anger evident on his rough features. His nude torso rippled in silent threat, the spoonful of
chocolate ice cream in his hand dripping unobserved as he glared at Goku. "Well, it is a shame for them if they do resent
our "interference" as you so kindly put it. Interference! I'm the Prince of all Saiyans! And I will lead them. They
need my leadership. And if they don't realize it at first, or are dumb enough to challenge me for what is my right,
I will be forced to show them the error of their ways!"
Goku, spitting out the three chocolate éclairs in his mouth, yelled incredulously, "You're going to fight them?!"
Vegeta shrugged, having finished his chocolate ice cream, now smirked around a spoonful of strawberry sorbet, "If I have
to."
Goku's tiramisu was all but forgotten. "I can't believe you!"
Vegeta looking at Goku as if he were an annoying bug, finally placed his spoon on the table. "Listen Kakorot, I'm not going
to ignore my place in the Saiyan conflict. I am the Prince of all Saiyans. And they will come to learn it either sooner
or later. If I have to, I will make them see it. It is my destiny. Can't you see? It all makes sense -- why I lost my
race in the first place - and why I found this version of the planet - I'm here to lead them back to what they were before
they were robbed by Frieza!"
With that, the naked Saiyan Prince stood up from the table, looking tired and sated. Placing his hands on his narrow hips,
he regarded Goku. "Now, I'm off to bed. Are you going to continue to stuff your face, or are you going to join me?"
Goku did feel stuffed and wanted to join Vegeta, but he was upset by the turn of conversation. Seeing the look on Goku's
face, Vegeta held his hand out to Goku, his face neutral.
Goku took Vegeta's hand gently, rising to his feet, resigned for now. Vegeta fought the urge to smirk. Goku was lead
from the room, his manner docile.
As Vegeta lead the way to the bedroom, he smiled inwardly. Vegeta had found a pliancy in his lover this day that he had
never before known was there. And if he could make the greatest warrior in the universe bend to his will, then the
universe would be his oyster.
* * *
Goku awoke in the partially darkened room, trying to get his bearings. He turned to his side, and smarted at the tenderness
his body felt from the various bruises and bites that littered it. Vegeta snored lightly next to him and again Goku was
taken aback by the innocence of his lover's face in sleep. Vegeta's mouth was that same little "o" he found fascinating
just a week or so ago. This time Goku gave in to the urge to lightly touch it with his fingertips.
The little mouth closed and the thick brows knit in annoyance, but Vegeta did not stir.
Goku thought of their conversation before bedtime and felt his stomach give a nervous flip. He didn't want Vegeta's pride
to once again endanger the Saiyan Prince's life. Goku knew that when Vegeta got a thought into his head, he very rarely
strayed from it, but Goku wasn't about to leave his friend and lover to his own recklessness. Goku would make sure that
Vegeta remained safe.
Goku planned to be there for Vegeta, whether Vegeta wanted him to or not.
Goku had come to know the good in Vegeta despite everything Vegeta had done over the years to prove he was otherwise. And
Goku couldn't turn his back on that goodness, the sweet soul that truly lurked within the older warrior -- not now, not
ever. Goku continued to stare at his lover in his placid state, Vegeta's mouth once more small and inviting. Goku gave
in to the growing urge within him and leaned in, giving that little mouth a sensuous, full kiss.
Even in his sleep, Vegeta responded to the mouth upon his own. His arms entwined around Goku's neck even before he was
fully awake.
Goku continued to kiss until he felt the kiss in return turn deliberate, knowing that his lover was finally awake. It was
then that Goku broke the kiss, smiling down at Vegeta.
"Good morning, " Goku whispered, staring at the dark, surprised eyes of the Saiyan underneath him.
Vegeta didn't answer, just reached up to give Goku another kiss.
* * *
Despite the passion in that kiss, they did not make love. Vegeta sprang up from bed, ready to start the day, ignoring
Goku's obvious interest in continuing. Goku pointedly looked at Vegeta's erection, but Vegeta turned from him.
Vegeta wanted to get out and meet some Saiyans.
Goku wished that they could linger and delay the inevitable a little longer.
* * *
Vegeta flew ahead of Goku as they headed back towards the city. At first, they considered heading straight to where they
were getting the most Saiyan readings, in the heart of the Saiyan settlement to the north of the city. But then both
admitted that they were curious to see what had happened to the city since they had left it. They flew high, trying to
avoid the thickest onset of the choking smoke in the air, which trailed up lazily in the devastation's aftermath.
The skyline was no more. All buildings had been reduced to smoldering rubble. The streets were littered with nothing but
debris. From their vantage point, it was difficult to make out anything living and their radar didn't seem to give off
anything in the immediate area.
Vegeta grew tired of blinking dust and smoke and decided that descending to the ground might offer some relief, so he
twirled down through the densest smoke, Goku following after him. Both Saiyans landed on a heap of rubble and surveyed
the scene around them. The street was very quiet. It didn't seem like there was a soul around. Vegeta searched the
debris and before too long saw a few Tuffle and Saiyan bodies nearby.
The Saiyan bodies all seemed to be surrounded by a great circumference of space around them, as they probably died in
their still Oozaru form. Now, they were only naked and battered corpses. There was no mistaking them for what they
were, though. Their tails and dark looks made it clear without a doubt, that these were members of the Saiyan race.
Seeing them with his own eyes for the first time, in their original form, all doubt washed away from Vegeta. He knew, in
his heart, that being here, now, was somehow meant to be and Vegeta felt that he could not ignore that.
Vegeta jumped off of the pile of rubble and started walking, just picking a direction. Goku followed behind, somber.
Goku didn't have any trouble believing how thorough and quickly the devastation took place, having fought terrible foes in
his past. But he still found it all to be a great big waste.
Goku and Vegeta, before too long, heard the sound of rubble dispersing as someone nearby moved in their direction. Goku
looked at Vegeta. They silently agreed to hide behind a discarded brinks' truck to have a look at the visitors before
they themselves were noticed.
Upon seeing the first living Saiyan in this world, in his normal form, Goku and Vegeta both gasped quietly, as they tried
to remain unnoticed. The Saiyan was a young man clad in leather pants and a ripped, sleeveless shirt. He stood on a tall
pile of rubble, looking at the area around him.
He looked just like Trunks.
The Saiyan's hair and eyes were dark, unlike Vegeta's son, but his resemblance to Trunks was uncanny. Yes, Trunks
resembled his father in features, and took his mother's coloring, but somehow, it was clear, looking at this young man,
that he didn't resemble Vegeta. It was Trunks face and carriage that Goku and Vegeta saw as they stared at the young
Saiyan.
The Saiyan's hair was long and straight, falling down his neck past his shoulders. It was as if Vegeta's pointy mop had
straightened itself to lie down the young man's neck until it finally tapered to a point just past his shoulders. Two
long, straight strands fell down the front of his face becomingly. He was about Trunks' height and his skin color was
a light caramel color. The young Saiyan swished his tail around in an agitated manner as he knitted his handsome brow.
Another Saiyan jumped up on the pile of rubble behind him. This other Saiyan was portly, with a thin, bristly mustache
and a round bowl of straight hair. He wore a tunic and sandals. The fat Saiyan had a surly look on his face as he looked
at his younger companion's back.
The handsome young Saiyan called out suddenly, "I know you're there! Come out! Or my friend and I will blast this area
and kill you where you stand. I promise, if you surrender now, I will show you mercy." The young man spoke with command,
knowing that he was in control of the situation. His whole demeanor spoke of rank and the ability to lead.
If their suspicion was correct, and this planet was indeed in a period of time that was basically a re-enactment of the
Saiyan's rise to power and dominance, then Vegeta and Goku, also realized that they were looking at one of Vegeta's own
forefathers, perhaps a direct ancestor.
Vegeta looked at Goku.
Goku met his stare.
They nodded to each other and set their faces as they stepped out from behind the truck.
