~*~*~Chapter 6 Flashback Part I~*~*~

Sorry it took so long to update. I've been working on my flashback scenes, trying to add a bit more depth. They were pretty shallow (Romance isn't my thing), I wasn't showing much of Vegeta, and I wasn't even going to have this chapter. But I decided to write it just to let you know a little more on Veggie, and to slow things down a bit.

Note: This is still eight years back in the flashback. I just go further into the past later on in this chapter.

As he entered the room the light immediately flicked on. Vegeta knew very well the entire palace worked on censors. Freeza was too good to have to raise his arm and flick on a light switch.

The gravity room stood before him. The walls and floor were made of a dull grey metal. It was once shinning but was now covered in black marks. The lights were even made of a special glass that didn't shatter, projecting a red light when the gravity got too extreme. Normal building materials were unable to take the strain of the gravity the room could generate.

Vegeta would have to admit that the room was a admirable invention. Designed by one of Freeza's top rate scientists. It was built mainly to train soldiers, but since he and the other Saiyans began to use it everyone else decide to avoid it. He knew than most soldiers felt intimidated by him. Which was what he wanted, he preferred to be left alone.

"SET GRAVITY," the computer generated voice echoed through out the room. Bouncing of the steel walls.

Vegeta though it over for a second before deciding what would challenge him. "Computer, set gravity to x300."

There was a soft beep before the lighting in the room turned red. Vegeta could instantly feel the gravity set in, but tried no to look affected by it. He was slowly getting used to x300, soon he'd be able to rise it another fifty.

The room welcomed him every time he came to train. He came here when ever he was back from one of Freeza's stupid purges. Which wasn't very often. He was always at the front lines, alway trying to improve his skills in the field. The closer he would came to death the more strength he would gain. After all he would have to gain a lot if he were to for fill his destiny and finally become a Super Saiyan.

Vegeta smirked as he remembered when he was first told of what he was to become. When he was told of his promising destiny. He could still remember his fathers words clearly as if it were only yesterday.

~*~*~Flashback~*~*~ (Remember this is a flashback within a flashback)

Vegeta looked up at his father, the king of all Saiyans. Since he was still only a child he admired the man greatly. As all children do. But there was something about his father at that very moment, he gave off some sort anxious energy. As if he were waiting for something to happen.

His father had his eyes glued to the window. Watching the ships outside leave space. All setting out to conquer new planets and gain control. The Saiyan empire was great, even if it was controlled completely by the ice-jin Freeza.

Vegeta looked down a pone his father for signing Freeza's treaty. He may have been young but he wasn't completely stupid. He knew the instant the pen left the paper that the king had signed away their freedom. Every thing that they had owned was now all in the lizards name. Even though his father tried to hide it, the flourishing empire was slowly depleting.

King Vegeta looked down at his son with fatherly pride. He decided it was time to tell his young son what he ought to here. "Vegeta did you know your were born with the highest power level of any Saiyan?"

Vegeta's eyes widened at his fathers words. Never before had he been told this piece of information. It was a wonder that it had been kept from him.

His father continued. "You come from a strong bloodline so it's no wonder you were born with that much power," the king closed his eyes, trying to suppress the memories of Vegeta's birth. He tried not to remember the death of his queen. "Which may mean you could achieve the level of legendary."

Vegeta blinked. He knew very well about Super Saiyans, after all it had been pounded into his head since he was young. Most Saiyans had dreams of reaching the level, but never achieved it. It was as if the transformation had been lost thousands of years ago. To be told that he could some day reach it was inspiring. He knew from that day he would go out of his way to become the strongest ever.

His father quickly looked back to the window and gulped. Vegeta followed his eyes to see that a ship had just landed. He instantly recognised from the design that it was Freeza's. "Father what's he doing here?"

King Vegeta turned back to his son and lowered himself to his eye level. "Now listen to me Vegeta, what ever happens remember my words. No matter what never forget them."

Vegeta nodded, surprised at what his father had just said.

His father stood back up. The expression on his face became stone cold. "Come Vegeta we have to meet our guest."

Vegeta followed his father into the throne room. As he entered he instantly noticed Freeza pacing the room. Flicking his tail in a murderous way behind him. A few of his men were standing lazily around the room. The lizard stoped when he notice the king and the prince had entered. "Well, well, we meet again Vegeta."

His father nodded. He displayed not an ounce of expression. "Freeza."

The lizard smirked. "And I seen you've brought your young son with you."

The king closed his eyes, and forced the words out of his mouth. "You do remember out deal?"

Vegeta looked up at his father. "Father what deal?"

His father turned away from his son, unable to face him. "Vegeta forgive me."

Freeza's began to chuckle to himself , it was no surprise to him that the cowardly king didn't have the guts to tell his son what he had agreed to. "Your father signed a little deal with me boy, one that decides your future."

Vegeta looked at the lizard and growled. He didn't like the way Freeza had said the sentence. He looked back at his father. Almost pleading him to tell him what was going on. "Father, what is he taking about?"

"Forgive me, I had no choice," his father regained his posture and looked back at Freeza. "You better live up to your word."

The lizard's smirk widened till it could not grow any bigger. "Oh don't worry I will," his attention turned to the young prince. "Take him away."

Immediately two of Freeza's men stood forward and grabbed Vegeta. "Father!" he screamed. But the king stood his ground, looking away as if he couldn't bare to watch.

The young seven year old struggled till one grabbed his tail. Vegeta felt the pull on his spine and instantly felt himself go weak. At that very moment he realised what was happening. His father had sold him to Freeza in order to save Vegeta-sei. Something he would forever regret doing. "Father." Vegeta whispered. He kept his eyes on him as he was lead out of the room. The whole time damning him for what he had done, how dare he be sold off like a slave to Freeza. How dare the king be so cowardly not to even warn his only son. Little did he know that he would never see the man again.

Vegeta had been on ice-sei for three months so far. And since he had arrived he had instantly hated the place. The sky was always dark and everywhere else was very cold. He was far too used to the hot climate on Vegeta-sei, and it was taking him a while to adjust. The palace itself looked as if Freeza was just plainly trying to show off all his power. Servants and slaves out numbered every one else. And he could swear that there were at lest 200 of them just waiting on the bastard alone.

Vegeta stood waiting outside the throne room. The stupid bastard know as Freeza had come to make him see him. Probable to beat the shit out of him again. The lizard despised all those who refused to follow him, like Vegeta. He had spent the last three months trying to beat him into one of his loyal followers, bashing him into walls, making him suffer pain. But this did nothing more than fuel his hate for the bastard, only making him want to kill the lizard more. Vegeta gritted his teeth, he could take what ever he had to give.

The sound of footsteps caused him to turn his head. The green fag know as Zarbon was walking down the hall towards him, followed by a strange looking blue haired girl. From where he was standing Vegeta could see that her blue eyes sparkled with curiously.

Zarbon approached the guard that was standing at the door. "I'm here to see Freeza."

The guard nodded. "He's currently busy, you'll have to wait."

Zarbon sighed and leaned up against the wall on the other side of the door, not noticing Vegeta. He closed his eyes and began to wait patiently.

The girl approached Vegeta. She didn't really like boys, but he was the first child she had seen since she got here. She instantly noticed his tail.. "How come you have a tail?"

Vegeta growled in annoyance. He hated little girls, especially ones that asked stupid questions. "Go away."

The girl ignored his comment entirely. "I'm Bulma what's your name?"

Vegeta closed his eyes and ignored her. Hoping if he didn't say anything she'd go away.

Bulma screwed up her face, she had been spoilt rotten by her father and wasn't used to people not answering her questions. "How old are you?"

Vegeta opened one eye. "Older and far superior to you."

She looked at him in confusion. "What dose that word mean?"

Vegeta gritted his teeth. The girl was beginning to get on his nerves. "It means I'm better than you."

Bulma smiled. "No your not, my daddy said I'm smart, and a genius, and it'd take over his company..."

Vegeta interrupted before she could continue. "Do I look like a give a damn."

Bulma screwed up her face and gave him the evil eye. She stormed back over to Zarbon. Glancing at him occasionally just to let him know how annoyed she was with him.

Vegeta didn't honestly give a damn about what the little blue haired girl though. It just wondered why a weakling like her was with Zarbon. As far as he knew the green fag spared no time for children.

A shaking scientist emerged from the throne room. Vegeta smirked, he guessed Freeza didn't like the mans work. Freeza was more lenient with scientist then he was with anyone else. If someone else displeased Freeza they would be dead instantly.

Zarbon made an attempt to walk in, but Vegeta got in before him. As he walked through the door he could hear Zarbon growl. He didn't try to hide the fact that he hated Vegeta the instant he arrived.

Freeza gritted his teeth as Vegeta entered the room. Oh how the brat annoyed the hell out of him. Unfortunately for him he wasn't as cowardly as his pathetic father. It would take a lot to make him more obedient.

Vegeta approached Freeza's chair, he refused to bow like everyone else. And he knew how much it annoyed the lizard when he didn't. He just stood there, with out an once of expression on his face. He knew it annoyed the lizard even more when he didn't look the slightest bit afraid.

Freeza looked down at Vegeta. Maybe it was time to end the physical pain he was giving Vegeta. Maybe some physiological damage could make the young prince fear him. Freeza smirked. "Tell me brat, you know that I have a certain deal with your father don't you?"

Vegeta was slightly surprised at his question but nodded.

Freeza's smirk widened. Oh he couldn't wait to see the princes reaction once he told him the next sentence. "I think you should know, never have I once stuck to my word."

Vegeta froze up. He knew exactly what Freeza meant. The bastard had gone against his father deal, which meant that Vegeta-sei was no more. Vegeta was tempted to cry, but he refused to do so it front of Freeza, he refused to show any emotion in front of Freeza. He forced his face into a smirk and tried the best to hide the pain in his eyes. "So, why should I care."

From then on he hid all emotion from everyone

~*~*~End Flashback within a flashback~*~*~

Vegeta closed his eyes as he remembered his past. He had almost long forgotten the first time he had met Bulma, of course she had most probably forgotten, after all she would have only been four. She was so different then, she may have been spoilt, but she was nothing more then a happy innocent young child. Over the years he had watched her change into what she was today. Call it a hobby or just plain boredom, he had spent time watching her. Don't ask why, maybe he had nothing better to do then watch fix ships in the cargo hold. She never noticed, no one ever noticed.

Vegeta powered up and began his harsh training. Remembering all the bad things in his life helped him train, it helped him build rage. It was what he needed if he ever hoped to accomplish his ultimate goal.

After three hour of pushing himself to the limit. Vegeta decided it was time for a short break. He usually trained for longer, but for some reason he felt him mind wondering. He wiped the sweat off his forehead and shut down the gravity. He instantly felt lighter then he had in his entire life. It some times question him if going from extreme to light gravity was good for your body, like if it could cause internal damage. But even if it could he didn't give a damn.

As he left the room the lights instantly turned off, leaving the room in complete darkness. He really needed to breathe fresh air.

Ok, whada u fink.

I am still working on my flashback scenes, I'm trying to give them some depth. And I mean a LOT of depth. It's taking me a while, I don't write romance. Sure I can write some horror with blood gore and tragedy, but not romance.

Till Next Time.
