Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ The Pride Of Saiya-jins ❯ Reunion: Part One ( Chapter 1 )
The Pride of Saiya-jins
Book One: The Awakening
Reunion: Part One
"Arise, Shenron!" Out from seven orange, multi-starred orbs, placed upon a grassy field, shot a bright lightning-filled light, reaching high into the sky, parting the clouds, as they became filled with darkness, enough to set any mind to fear. "And grant me my request," the voice added in again, as the bright bolt of yellow lightning held an actual figure within it. A green-filled dragon, with its length unbelievable to measure, started to form, as it levitated in the sky, its head slowly lowering to the figure that called him forth.
"You have gathered all seven dragonballs… what is it you desire?" The dragons voice seemed to echo within the woods that sat in the background. Its own form seemed to tangle like a pretzel, while it awaited the request of the person who had summoned him once again.
"Shenron… for too long have I traveled across the galaxies, fighting an endless battle; fighting a war, that will never end; an end that will be meaningless, if what you fight for ends up destroyed in the very end." The figure paused a moment, as if attempting to gather its thoughts.
"What is it you request, traveler?" the dragon asked once again, always having short patience for anyone who was brought forth before him, requesting the nearly impossible. The figure stood there, as if now fully understanding the decision it would have to make.
"A planet was destroyed many years ago… a planet that would very well give us the upper hand in this fight. I wish for that planet to be brought back, as well as all its inhabitants. I wish for the planet of Vegeta-sai, and all the Saiyans that died, to be brought back to life," the figured screamed, both its arms brought out from that heavy dark cloak worn around, hood falling backwards, as a mass amount of spiky-black hair was brought forth, seeming to defy gravity.
"You're wish… it will be very difficult, and will take both of your wishes. Are you certain this is what you wish for?" The figure simply nodded, as the dragon's eyes glowed. The ground beneath started to shake, as bolts of blue lightning circled around the dragon. With a loud growl, gold light emitted from the stars of the dragonballs, like a light, turning off and on, as the wish seemed to become fulfilled.
"Your wish has been granted…" the dragon stated, as he lowered his head once again, his eyes glowing, as did the seven mystical dragonballs. " So I bid thee, farewell."
And with a flash of bright light, the dragon was gone, those dark clouds seeming to clear up a bit, a red hued sky, sun setting over the mountain side, as the seven dragonballs shot up into the air, and with a burst of energy, set out into the sky, each with its own course around the planet.
The figure's arms dropped back to its side, a hand brushing a few strands from its face, light from the setting sun now setting upon it, three familiar spikes, reaching out to the right side, a few strands setting over its forehead, the rest trailing down the back, tied together near its neck. A recognizable aura upon the figure, a brownish tail set around a rather slim waist, standing straight up. Those black hues looking up to the sky above, faint stars visible, as the sun continued to set.
"One down, one to go…" the figure whispered, before bowing its head. Thoughts fully clearing its mind, as a sixth-sense, you could say, sought out for any signs of familiar ki. If rumors and old records were true, Saiya-jins being sent to this planet one after another, they might get even more help than they originally needed.

"Come on, Krillin, I know you've got more power than that!" A yell was heard from the distance, a clearing in the mountains, as bursts of energy clashed upon each other, bringing some to crumble under the immense power. A short figure stood back up, after being knocked out of the sky, dusting the snow off his khaki-colored pants. He stood up, black hair parting to either side of his face, a slight smirk upon his face, as he tightened the rope around his waist, adjusting the weighted wristbands upon his right wrist.
"Okay, you asked for it!" Krillin yelled, as a white aura surrounded his body, pushing the snow away from him, weighted boots kicking off the snow, as pushed himself into the air, his own energy holding him up, throwing the laws of physics completely out the window. With a war-like scream, he dashed forward, toward his opponent, fists-of-fury flying.
The figure placed a rather goofy grin upon his face, seeming to enjoy the art of fighting, as he waited for his opponent to near. A right hand extended out to his head, but the figure easily ducked under it, bringing his own right hand to Krillin's stomach, however, it was met with the palm of Krillin's left hand, as he tilted his body aside to just barley scrap against his red short-sleeve shirt. A leg was brought up in the blink of an eye, nearly taking the much taller martial-artist's head right off. A small `eep!' would be let out, as he forced his energy to push himself back, to avoid the kick, taken completely off guard.
Both figures continued to compete in hand-to-hand combat, until Krillin was once again battered to the ground. A rather familiar stance was then collected, once he stood up again, his hands brought out forth, one over the other, palms faced out, before he would reverse their setting, as he brought them to his right side, quoting once of the best martial artists known to this planet.
"Kame," he started out, as his white aura started to grow around him, winds picking up in a spiraling motion, as blue energy swerved into the palms of his hands, growing with each powerful syllable. "Hame," a blue orb became visible now, as he continued to recite the phrase that would bring forth an unbelievable and powerful blast. "HA!"
As the final part of the phrase was complete, his aura exploded, as he threw his hands into the air, aiming the orb straight towards his opponent, a blue mass of energy surging around him, and into the blast. Blue light blinding around him, as the beam shot from his palms made a direct path into the figure in the air.
"HAAA!" the figure screamed out loudly, echoing in the mountains, as he started to gather energy around himself, a white aura starting to grow around him. As he continued to scream, his brows lowered, those black hues starting to glow a tint of green, as his eyes widened. A tint of yellow would be added into the aura, as it grew into a golden color, his hair starting to stand straight up, growing slightly longer, his fists clenching tighter, as his energy skyrocketed, the beam shooting closer and closer to where he stood. The clouds opened up, as the golden energy flying about forced them aside, as the figure stood ready for the blast, two hands brought together, fingers interlocked, as he battered the blast right back to the creator, however, all's that stood there were a few foot prints. A blink of the figures eyes in surprise, as a yell was heard only a few yards away. Krillin had quickly jumped into the air after he fired the blast, as soon as he saw the transformation start, almost fearlessly, following the beam up, knowing that he would not sense his movements if he followed the blast. As soon as the transformation reached a climax, it would open up a window of opportunity for him to gather the energy needed once again, having not nearly put all his power into that one Kamehameha blast.
"Destructo Disk!" Krillin stood, with his right arm vertically up in the air, palm faced upward, as if holding a plate. A bright light of yellow shot from his hand, and a disk-like form of energy spun hastily in his control. With his yelling command, he threw one disk out toward the newly transformed figure, who had just seemed to notice his tactics all a little too late, as he spun around bringing his arms up to block. With one direct hit, Krillin would not stop there, as his left hand was brought up the instant the first disk left his hand, another yellow spinning disk being brought forth, repeating the process, as he threw it directly into the cloud of smoke that formed upon the first's impact. A third, and a forth would be thrown, before his right hand would form one final one. With another war like cry, his left hand would grab his right wrist, as the disk became twice in size. With a wind up, he threw the final disk into the much bigger cloud of black smoke, an unbelievable explosion erupting, sweat beading from the once-bald head of Krillin, as he breathed heavily, slowly levitating to the snowy ground below to catch his breath.
Krillin kept his eyes on the sky, as the smoke started to clear. Weighted blue martial-art boots, having the orange gi-pants tucked into them; a full sized orange gi, with a weighted blue undershirt; twin weighted wristbands, similar to Krillin's upon each wrist; a tightly tied blue martial-arts belt worn around his waist, would complete the figure's attire, however, after that blast, most of it was tattered and torn. The aura seemed to have faded back to a faint white glow, as the hair color faded black as well, setting all to his right side, spiking upward in the air, identical to his father's. His arms were still brought up in front of his face. A few scratches to where the blast was made, his arms lowered, a taint of blood from his forehead made its way down his eyebrow, drop to his cheek, blinking rather shocked from the attack. He let out a sigh, as he lowered himself to the ground, wiping the blood from his forehead with his wristband.
"Wow, Krillin, I didn't know you had so much power in you! I've never seen you use that much power before!" the figure yelled, walking over to where he stood, still breathing heavily.
"Well, Goku, I used up just about all the energy I had…heh…" Krillin said, as he fell back in the snow, his hands placed to either side of him; back a little bit, as he sat in the snow, looking up to the sky. "Still not as powerful as you, though."
"It was enough to knock me out of Super-Saiyan, Krillin. I haven't been hit that hard in a while," Goku stated, as he took a time out to breathe as well, taking a seat next to his life-long friend, sitting in the same style, looking up to the sky. Krillin blinked, as he looked over to Goku, rather surprised that his attack had as much damage as Goku had said.
"Really?" he asked, in reassurance. Goku smiled, as he looked to him.
"I'm a Saiyan, Krillin, not immortal. Saiyans are strong, and powerful, and were brought up only to know fighting. Like Vegeta always says, the Saiyans were a powerful, warrior race, and have various transformations that make them more powerful than anyone can ever imagine, however, they are mortal, just like humans. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses, Krillin, even me. I may seem to be the most powerful fighter on Earth, but even I have to loose sometime, right?"
Krillin could only blink at the speech Goku had just made. Over the years of peace, after Frieza, Cell, and Buu, the fighters of the Earth still had always thought peace was only temporary, thus the reasoning to always be at their best, always training for the day they will be called upon once again. Over these years, Goku had actually grown a much smarter fighter, though, mostly from fighting with Vegeta and Piccolo, both seeming to be rather wise in their own way.
"Wow Goku, even after all we've been through, you still manage to surprise me," Krillin stated with a smile, as he took another look into the sky. Goku nodded, as he too looked back up into the sky.
"The universe is filled with creatures, and beings, all holding their own power. Who knows how powerful some are? Who knows how many of them there are out there? We may never know…that's what I always hear Vegeta say after we spar, and I guess those questions seemed to grow on me… I think it's that way with all Saiyans, you know? The thought of fighting someone so unbelievable powerful is just so… so…" Goku hesitated, at a loss for words.
"Exciting?" Krillin asked.
"Exactly," Goku nodded, smiling, as his eyes remained in the skies, as they started to grow dark, rather quickly. A confusing tilt of his head to the side, with a questionable `hu?' let out by the both of them, as clouds started to thicken in black masses.
"Weird… skies were clear all day… funny how the weather works," Krillin stated, as he started to stand up a bit, stretching out, and dusting himself off.
"I don't think it's a storm, Krillin," Goku started. "I think someone's summoned the dragon!"
"What? No way! How can that be? There's always at least one dragonball at your house, right?" Krillin asked, looking over to Goku, who had already started to stand up as well. "Right?" Krillin repeated.
"Let's go!" Goku yelled, as he quickly hurried himself into the air, with a burst of white flames surrounding him.
"Hey! Wait for me!" Krillin quickly added in, as he too boosted himself into the air, trailing right behind Goku, as they headed for the Son household.

Across the lake, stood twin sets of water falls, and in the distance, levitating in mid air, Indian-style, arms crossed, eyes closed, sat the green Namek, meditating deeply for hours. It seemed this was the quietest place on the planet, the sounds of the falls music to the Namekian's ears. It wasn't until the sounds of thunder crackling in the distance, that would lower a single brow, disrupting the concentration of the elder Namek. Another loud boom would wake the green alien fully, as he tilted his head upward toward the darkening sky.
"Shenron?" He murmured, before setting a white aura around him, heading straight upward into the sky, high above the clouds, seeking the god of Earth himself, to see if he had any answers to why the eternal dragon was being summoned.

"Did you remember the dragon radar this time Trunks?" came a voice from behind the short mushroom-cut purple-headed figure, with his hands behind his black hair; spiked all to one side, bringing them down upon the lapel of his orange gi, tugging on it a bit.
"Yea, but it was a real pain. My mom kept telling me that the dragonballs are for emergencies only. Wow, Goten, you wouldn't believe how hard it was to get this. It took me nearly a week to sneak this thing out of her lab," the purpled-haired figure replied, as he too readied himself by tightening the martial-arts belt around his wait.
"Well, let's turn it on and let's see where the first one is," Goten urged, the children-duo stepping out of Capsule Corporation, the door shutting closed behind them. Trunks reached into his gi, pulling out the yellow round device, clicking the top button to turn it on. After a bit of twisting and turning, Trunks found more than just one dragonball already gathered in a rather close area.
"Goten, you wont believe this! All seven dragonballs already really close together, and even better, they're pretty close by," the eager Saiyan spoke, looking eastward. Not two seconds after he had showed Goten, the skies started to grow dark, and rather thick, with a loud thundering boom, miles away, but clear enough to hear.
"Oh no! Someone's already using up our wishes!" Goten cried, putting on a rather childish puppy-dog face.
"That's just not fair! Every time we go out to search for the dragonballs, someone always beats us to it!" Trunks yelled, gripping the dragon radar tightly.
"So what do you wanna do now?" Goten asked a bit softer, the look of hope fading quickly from his eyes.
"Well… my dad left for a while, so the gravity room is open, if you wanna spar in there," Trunks suggested, looking over to his friend.
"Really? I love the gravity room! Yea, let's go play in there," Goten replied, the look of hope returning in his eyes.
"Play? It's sparing, not playing. Wow, Goten, sometimes you're such a kid," the young chibi replied, turning his back to the younger, shorter Saiyan, a slight smirk upon his face.
"I'm not a kid, Trunks, you take that back!" The feisty demi-Saiyan replied, stammering his foot on the ground. Trunks only laughed, as he headed back in side, while rolling his head back, letting everyone inside to hear him. Goten only yelled more, running inside to catch up.

An echoing scream from within the mountain plains, brownish-red rock flying back and forth, with dust clouds completely blinding anyone near, was followed by endless amounts of explosions, and bursts of energy, taking down nearly half the mountains that stood. Trails of blue and yellow energy patterns, thrown about with incredible force, spiraling left, and right, meeting together, to create an unbearable force, loud enough to break the windows off a building, energy erupting from one figure, standing in the middle of the pile of rubble. There stood the Saiyan Prince, Vegeta, golden yellow flames circling around him, as the aura grew with every command of another energy blast. Dusk until dawn, the prince would train, always trying to keep himself one step above the rest. After nearly months straight in the gravity chamber, the prince had decided to see how well he would adjust now outside at normal gravity. Once again, training was time well spent for the Saiyan Prince, easily matching his earlier top speed and strength, with little or no problem at all. With a grin, the cocky Saiyan continued to push himself to the max, however, being careful not to destroy the planet in the process.

A blink, and that dark hooded figure's eyes would open, ki signatures flying all about, from all around the planet, seeming rather high for mere Earthlings. This figure knew better, setting out for the most powerful out there, a very light blue tinted aura surrounding around him, as the figure lifted from the air, and at an amazing speed, faded from the background, leaving the open forest setting.

Goku and Krillin landed quickly, their auras soon fading, as they ran into the house, Goku quickly opening the way for the both of them, leaving the door open behind them. "Chi-Chi!" Goku called out, cupping his hands over his mouth for the entire house to hear, with no response. Goku quickly ran up the stairs, faster than Krillin could even keep up, already out the door of the house, by the time Krillin had just placed a foot into the living room.
"Whoa, Goku wait up!" Krillin exclaimed, quickly turning and running back outside, to see the Saiyan take to the skies with a burst of energy. Krillin quickly gathered up his own energy, pushing himself from the ground, trying to keep up with the Saiyan. The duo took to the skies, Goku trying to sense out his wife's energy signature, but it was hard to pinpoint exactly where she was. Goku then paused in mid air, placing two fingers upon his forehead, lowering his head, letting his mind wonder out. Krillin stopped a few feet ahead of him, turning around.
"Goku, what are you…" and before Krillin could finish, Goku's image had already started to fade in and out, before the complete image of the Saiyan was gone, leaving a shocked expression upon his shorter friend. " Why does this always happen to me?"

"What do you make of it, Dende?" the black skinned, Arabian-dressed Mr. Popo asked, turning to the Kami of the planet. The young Namek sighed, leaning his weight on the staff, as he looked over the edge of the lookout, resting high above the clouds, the highest point on Earth.
"I don't know. I didn't even sense anything until the eternal dragon was summoned. Someone, or something has made a wish using the dragonballs." Dende sighed once again, turning to face his advisor. "Good job I'm doing as Kami… I don't even know who summoned Shenron. Their ki seems familiar in some way, but I just can't put my finger on it."
"So, you know just about as much as I do then," came a voice from above, as the figure slowly started to levitate himself to the lookout's concrete flooring, his cape flowing behind him, set upon his shoulders, along with those covered metal weights.
"Piccolo! So, I assume you as well know the troubles we're in," Dende said excitedly at first, before lowering his head, adding in the second part.
"Don't worry about it, Dende, know one knows when things like this can happen, not even Kami of Earth," he said, giving a bit of a smirk, as he placed his hand on the young Namek's shoulder, before looking over the edge of the lookout. "So I take it you don't know who summoned the dragon, or even what was wished?"
Dende hesitated at first, his mind all of a sudden in a daze. An eerie feeling filled the pit of his stomach, as he closed his eyes, hopping that his senses would not fail him again. He stretched them out as far as his godly powers would take them. A blink of his eyes, would set them widen, as he double-checked his findings. A familiar ki it was, all right.
"A planet," Dende started, getting the attention of both Mr. Popo, and Piccolo. "Far away from here. Not even in our own galaxy."
"You mean, from another part?" Piccolo asked, his green hair-less brows lowering, showing his interest. Piccolo himself knew, from when Kami himself was God of Earth that the galaxy was split into four different sections, along came each higher god, to take the role of a Kai, seeing the events in each different section: four different sections, for different Kais. Dende simply nodded, a bead of sweat forming upon the side of his head, as he concentrated more, before shaking his head, lowering it again.
"I'm not certain, but I believe our guest is not of this planet," he responded, not giving either of them a chance to reply before continuing. "I think it's a Saiyan, and I think he's wished their home planet, and everyone on it back to life."
Piccolo's eyes went wide. Was that even possible? After all this time, to bring a planet that had been dead for nearly forty years, back to life? No, it couldn't be… could it? Did the dragonballs really have that much power? Piccolo turned to Dende to confirm if it was true, but he simply nodded his head in reassurance.
"I'm sure of it now, the same ki down there is the same as Goku and Vegeta's. We have a major problem on our hands."
Piccolo only moved his head over the look out. It was true, three Saiyan signatures, all set out in different directions. One seemed to have been training in the northern mountain area, another seeming to head toward it. Another, as quickly as he had sensed, faded, and appeared somewhere completely different. It had to be Goku.

"What do you think of this one, Chi-Chi?" Bulma asked, holding up another dress, this time red in color, elegant while leaving next to nothing for the imagination. The black haired Chi-Chi blinked widely, leaning closer to the blue haired genius.
"Bulma, don't you think it's a little… a little…" the younger of the two started, searching for the words to describe the piece of cloth held in front of her.
"Oh Chi-Chi, you're too old fashioned! This is what everyone's wearing now, and red is definitely your color. I want you to go try this on right now!" Bulma ordered, while handing her friend the dress. "I've got more clothes than I know what to do with, so I wont miss it much."
The girl nodded reluctantly, and headed into the room next door to try it on. Bulma continued to go through her closet, throwing things aside left and right, pulling dress after dress after dress out, leaving her closet nearly bare. Nearly giving all hopes up, she finally found an outfit that would suit her just fine. Pulling the hanger down, she put it up to her neck, while moving herself in front of her full body mirror.
"Chi-Chi, I think I've finally found something!" She screamed out to her friend in the room over.
"Bulma, are you sure this is a dress? It doesn't cover much!" She heard through the walls of her house. The blue haired company president tilted her head downward, while rubbing the side of her head, tossing the dress onto her bed.
"Trust me, Chi-Chi, you'll be turning heads in that dress," she replied, stripping down to see herself in her own dress. A gust of wind seemed to pick up, brushing her hair in front of her face. Along with that wind, came a very unwanted, familiar voice.
"Chi-Chi?" And, as if he had appeared from no where, a very confused Goku looked about the new atmosphere, wide eyed, as he looked his long time blue-haired friend in the eyes, in a pair of black panties, bra nearly unhooked. Both seemed to just stand there, dumfounded, until a noise interrupted the unbearable silence.
"I don't know Bulma, this dress really make my breasts stand out. I don't know what Goku would do if he noticed a bunch of other men staring at my chest," and as if on cue, the door opened up, with Chi-Chi fixing the straps of the dress, looking from her chest to the two members of the room.
"Hentai!" Bulma screamed, slapping him in the face, pulling the sheets from her bed to cover her completely, her own cheeks reddening from embarrassment.
"You don't understand Bulma, I thought you were Chi-Chi!" Goku pleaded, while rubbing his right cheek. He turned quickly to his wife, who only glared back in amazement of the situation. A fire seemed to blaze around his black-haired wife, left eye slightly twitching. Goku quickly threw his hands out in front of him defensively, seeing the eerie look in his wife's eyes.
"Chi-Chi, the only reason I came here was to find out about our dragonball we keep at our house!" Goku quickly added, before his wife could pull one of her tantrums. "Someone summed Shenron, and no one can do that without the dragonball from out house, have you been here all day?"
It was his only chance to save himself, really, taking the subject to something serious. It wasn't a lie, since it was the real reason why he had just simply dropped in. He would hope that the switch in subjects would free him from his wife's grasp. When he saw that her expression turned to a confused look, he breathed a sigh of relief. Bulma quickly became serious as well, stepping forward, looking to Goku.
"Someone summoned Shenron?" she asked, completely forgetting the earlier situation. Goku simply nodded to her, turning to his wife for an answer.
"I've been here all day, Goku. Do you know for sure that the dragonball is gone from the house?" His wife asked, as Goku held the urge to jump for joy for getting out of that situation so easily. He nodded to her question. Bringing a hand to his chin, he thought out the situation.
"Goku, if someone summoned the dragon, maybe Dende knows something about it. He is Kami of Earth after all," Bulma suggested, having thrown a tee shirt over her top form, the sheet back upon her bed. Goku quickly snapped his finger, and nodded.
"You're right," he quickly said. Goku blinked for a moment, sensing out two rather powerful auras closing in on each other, recognizing them both as Saiya-jins. The two girls simply saw the large Saiya-jin staring into space. Before they could say anything, Goku lowered his brows in concentration, placing a
"I'll see you at home, dear," Chi-Chi quickly added in, catching Goku before he disappeared. The tone in her voice was plenty enough to make the tall warrior's spine shiver. A gulp and a nod was his only reply, as he quickly faded out of the environment, leaving nothing but a draft of wind to replace the space he once was.

"Gohan, stop babying me!" the daughter of Mr. Satan screamed out, as her fist met the crossed arms of a much taller Saiyan. Gohan only blinked in reply, as he grabbed the wrist of the hand that he had just blocked, spun himself around, and hurled the woman away.
Videl quickly recovered, throwing her arms to either side of her, her ki stopping her in her place. She breathed heavily, beads of sweat on her forehead, however, she knew she could be pushed more, but her so-called trainer would not do so.
"I'm never going to get stronger if you keep babying me like this!" she screamed out, as she pushed herself forward. Gohan only blinked a moment, as he was suddenly taken back by long ago memories…
-----------
"Dad, I'm never going to get stronger if you keep babying me like this!" A lone young figure stood inside the room of Spirit and Time, as his father hovered high above, golden flames circled all around him, his hair matching the color, as it all stood upward, defying all laws of gravity.
"You've got to push me farther if we want to beat Cell!" the child continued to scream. The golden-haired warrior just stood there in purr aw, as his son continued to challenge him. He then charged himself to his full power, cupping his hands to his side, as he started the chant taught to him by his old mentor.
"Kame Hame HA!" A blue beam of energy shot out from his hands, as he shot them out in front of him. The beam hit the hands of the much smaller figure, pushing him back ten yards, though, he kept the beam from erupting, pushing everything he had, pushing him far beyond his own limits. Limitation was only in the imagination. The only limit you had was what your imagination would set yourself to.
A gold aura erupted, as the young child screamed. A golden burst of energy shot out from the young child's hands, tossing aside his father's strongest attack as if it were nothing. What was once long black hair, became much longer golden strands, eyes flickering from black to green, brows lowered in concentration, beads of sweat pouring down his head as he tried to control the power he had just obtained. Just when he thought he had it, his body went limp, as he fell to the ground, hands quickly placed in front of him, preventing from falling onto his face. His father levitated himself to the ground, amazed at the progress his son has made within the time they had.
-----------
Another fist came flying to his face, as Gohan blinked himself out of his dream, feeling the force behind the strike. He brought his knee into the girl's abdomen, making her eyes widen in surprise. He quickly spun himself around, his left fist striking the side of her head, as she was thrown fifty yards back. Videl quickly recovered, however, throwing her arms to the ground, and flipping herself up to her feet. As soon as she had, she kicked herself from the ground, and quickly flew straight back towards her opponent, letting out another all-out assault. Gohan could only grin, as he continued to push her as his dad once pushed him, however, always remembering she was merely human.

Vegeta levitated himself to the ground, the golden flames that surrounded him diminishing, as his hair grew slightly shorter, fading back to the familiar black hue. He breathed heavily, lifting his back upright, crossing his arms. His eyes twitched to his left, sensing someone approaching, a certain third class Saiya-jin at that. A smirk rose upon his features, as he faced himself in that direction. What a perfect opportunity to really test out his powers to the fullest. Without even waiting for the Saiya-jin to show up, he charged up a blue aura around him, blasting off in the direction he felt the taller Saiya-jin flying in, which just so happened to be toward him.
Just as he reached the blurred figure, both of them moving at an unbelievable speed, he swung out his foot to hit its chest, but a rather small hand rejected the kick, catching the Prince off guard. With his guard down, the figure seemed to bring a rather small, but powerfully packed fist into the midsection of the prince, knocking the wind out of him. He once again underestimated his opponent, but would quickly back away a few inches, before slamming his knee into the cloaked figure's midsection, hearing a rather feminine yelp escape a pair of pink lips. Swinging into a full one-eighty, his elbow met the back of his assailant, sending the apparent female forward a few yards, who seemed to recover rather quickly, turning around to fully face the prince. Vegeta turned just in time to see the figure dropping the cloak, which made him nearly do a double take.
A hair style almost identical to Kakarot's, three spikes of thick black mass aimed towards the upper right side of her face, the rest smoothly running down her back, black spikes covering over her rather upset eyes, brows lowered, a firm Saiya-jin frown upon her features, both her arms held up in front of her in a style no other but the very Prince of Saiya-jins would be aware of. A brown tail lashed around behind her, her legs parted in a battle stance. She wore a unique battle armor, some of which Vegeta recognized as the armor of the royal guards of Vegeta-sai, though obviously it seemed to be upgraded. There were no shoulder blades, and the armor was completely white, with silver trim, instead of the old style of white and gold. An emblem of the very planet he had left when he was young was planted upon the upper right chest of the armor. A black jumpsuit was worn under the armor, sleeveless, the legs reaching down to the very boots Vegeta had presently been wearing.
His eyes then met hers, his aura diminishing, dropping his guard for a second time, as he crossed his arms, awaiting for what the girl had to say. The girl seemed hesitant at first, obviously looking Vegeta over for a moment. He saw her nose twitch, as if trying to catch his sense, before she too lowered her arms, crossing them in an identical way, her eyes serious.
"Who are you?" Vegeta asked, his tone mirroring the somber stare the girl had been giving him, breaking the silence that seemed to develop between them.
"I can not say," she was quick to reply, still seeming unsure to relay who she actually was. By the actual hairstyle, Vegeta could have already guessed who she actually was, but the possibilities were close, if not actually, none.
"You wear the emblem of Vegeta-sai, and by the looks of you, you are Saiya-jin, no?" He got the girl to nod, which he so proudly smirked upon. "Well then, as Prince of Saiya-jins, and planet Vegeta-sai, I demand to know of your status, now!" The tone he used was harsh, and to the point, the girl quickly coming to an attention-type stance, her voice ringing out for him to hear.
"I am daughter to Bardock, Third Class Saiya-jin, Katalina, First Class Saiya-jin, Royal Guard." Vegeta could sense the strain in the girl's voice, though quickly pushed the thought aside. Before the girl could continue, a figure appeared in between them in an orange and blue blur.
"Kakarot?!" Vegeta's voice was filled with surprise, always hating the technique the taller warrior would use at random, like a child would use a new toy that never got old.
"Vegeta?!" Goku's voice was equally surprised, but more toward the fact that there were two figures around with such a high power. The taller Saiya-jin turned to the girl, who seemed to share an equal facial expression, completely blowing away her cool demeanor.
"Kakarot?!" She managed to scream out as well, deciding to keep the `name screaming' game going. Vegeta could only look back and forth between the two tall Saiya-jins, who, now pinned right next to each other, were nearly identical, aside from one male and one female.
"Vegeta?" Goku asked, turning to the prince, not feeling the need to really express in further what he really was asking. Vegeta knew the taller Saiya-jin was filled with questions, questions he had no answers to. He merely nodded his head to the Saiya-jin next to him, who only seemed mere inches shorter than Goku himself. Goku turned to the girl an identical serious expression upon their faces, Vegeta only smirking at the view he had before him. The girl blinked for a moment, as if trying to collect her thoughts, before she repeated herself.
"I…I am daughter to Bardock, Third Class Saiya-jin, Katalina, First Class Saiya-jin, Royal Guard." Goku caught only the first part, having never heard his father's name spoken aloud since he first stood face to face against Frieza. The three stood in silence for a moment, the girl obviously at a loss for words now, before she continued.
"I wasn't ordered to say anything more, except to find the Saiya-jins of this planet, and bring them to my superior," the seemingly sister of Goku stated, turning to the prince, trying hard not to shift her eyes toward Goku, who was obviously at a loss for words.
"And who is your superiority?" Vegeta asked.
"The Princess of Saiya-jins," she simply replied, not speaking her name of course. This caught the prince off guard, dropping his own demeanor, shock evident in his face. The girl recovered herself by now, gathering her cold appearance back, before looking back and forth between them. "Are you the only Saiya-jins on this planet?"
"We are the only full blooded Saiya-jins left on this planet," Goku replied, after it was apparent Vegeta wasn't speaking.
"You've mated with another species? That's not even possible!" The girl seemed more shocked than angry, Vegeta remembering back to the laws of Vegeta-sai. The girl quickly adjusted herself, continuing before the others could reply to her statement. "It matters not. Gather your kin, we all have much to discuss."
"We should meet at Kami's Lookout. I have a feeling everyone should be informed with what you're about to tell us," Goku said, turning to Goku.
"This is strictly business for Saiya-jins, and Saiya-jins only!" The girl was quick to reply, her voice callous. Goku quickly turned to Katalina, replying just as fast.
"You seemed to have used the dragonballs of Earth, and that has an effect on everyone on this planet. They have a right to know as much as we do," Goku responded, keeping a stern look upon his face. The girl hesitated at first, looking away, before she nodded reluctantly. She looked up again.
"Where is this… Kami's Lookout you speak of?" Her voice seemed to have quickly softened, looking into the eyes of Goku. Goku's face softened as well, placing a smile upon his face, extending his arm outward.
"If you head in that direction, you will see a tower that reaches into the heavens above. At the top, lay the Lookout of Earth's Protector. There is where we shall meet."
They all nodded, as the girl brought a dark red aura around her, turning her back to the two Saiya-jins. She looked over her shoulder, both warriors almost catching a tear upon the girl's cheek, but it was soon gone, as she faded into the background, obviously breaking the sound barrier. The two Saiya-jins could do nothing but stare at each other, before both of them held a smirk. Peace had always been their aim during their battles, but the thrill of a fight would over through the boring time of peace any day. Vegeta brought up a blue aura around him, before Goku would shake his head no. Before Vegeta could question, Goku's hand was on his shoulder, his other hand toward his head, index and middle finger upon his forehead, both vanishing into thin air, having their own means of transportation.
End Reunion: Part One

Disclaimer: Don't own Dragonball/Z/GT or any of its characters.
Author's Notes: Not much to say really… I gave Goku and Vegeta both a sister… why not? Too cliché of a Dragonball story? I felt so too, but why not? Why wasn't there ever a female Saiya-jin in the original Dragonball Z parts of the story? Well, maybe there were some, and they have their own little stories to tell. Next chapter, the full "Reunion," so don't worry. Vegeta meets his sister, and Goku "Officially" meets his sister, as well as the two sister's meeting the family of their brothers.
