Amara: (Sighs and says quietly) She's full of herself.

Celestial Princess: I heard that!

CHAPTER ELEVEN

It had been a total of a month since Vegeta, Radditz, Kakarot and Bulma had boarded Frieza's ship and Bulma hadn't talked to Vegeta since. She had tried to approach him. She had even gone as far as his sleeping quarters before turning around and fleeing to her room. She just couldn't talk to him. She didn't know what to say and she was afraid. Though she knew very well if she didn't communicate with him, their relationship would never prosper again.

She rose from the side of her bed and went to the door. She needed to get out and walk around. She was feeling too restrained in her room.

>>>

Radditz leaned back in a chair. He was looking at a picture of Amara and himself. He was standing facing the camera, and giving a small smile, but his eyes were turned to Amara. She was beside him with her arms thrown around his neck and her lips pressed to his cheek. She had forced him to take the picture because he had told her that he wasn't very fond of photographs. He smiled.

True, it had only been a month, but he was missing Amara so much. His body ached for her and it was tearing him apart that she was so far away.

Kakarot came up behind his older brother and peered over his shoulder. "Oh, reminiscing?"

Radditz growled. "Will you mind your own business?"

He laughed. "Sorry. Jeez!"

Radditz put the picture away and watched Kakarot walk towards the door. "Where are you going?"

"For a walk," he said.

"Don't get lost."

Kakarot laughed. "Don't worry."

Bulma came around a bend in the hallway and ran into Kakarot. She stepped back and looked up at him.

"Hi," he said.

"Hello."

"So, have you talked to Vegeta lately?"

She frowned and tried to push past him. "Don't ask me stupid questions. You know I haven't."

He grabbed her arms and kept her from moving. "You should, you know."

She looked at him. "What do you know?"

"More than you think." He smiled. "I had a chance to talk to Chi Chi about you before I left."

Bulma's eyes widened. "Oh?"

He nodded. "Vegeta hasn't been the same since you two went your separate ways."

"He's convinced that I was informing Frieza of his every move," she said. "He'll never trust me again. He'll never feel anything for me. I'm probably dead to him."

"Don't be fooled by his outside appearance," Kakarot said. "Go and talk to him."

Bulma sighed. "All right. I'll give it a try. It's now or never I suppose."

"He's in his room," he said. "Knock on the door and if he says go away, walk right into the room. After he sees you, I'm sure he won't try and kick you out."

"Thanks," Bulma said.

Kakarot nodded. "No problem. If I didn't try and help, Chi Chi would be pretty pissed at me when I got back."

Bulma laughed. "I'm sure she would be. See you later."

"Bye."

>>>

Bulma summed up enough courage to knock on the door to Vegeta's sleeping quarters. There was a pause before she heard his voice through the door.

"What is it, woman?"

She flinched. She had forgotten that Saiya-jins have more advanced senses than humans. "Vegeta, I need to talk to you."

"Why don't you just forget about it, woman? What's there left to talk about?"

"My name is Bulma, damn it, not woman." She opened the door.

He was lying on his back on the bed. His shirt was off, leaving his muscular chest bare. He rose up on his elbows. "I didn't give you permission to enter this room."

She closed the door. "I don't care. We have to talk now."

He slid off of the bed and moved towards her. "I don't want to talk to you."

"You have to," she cried. "For the sake of the three of us! You have to talk to me!"

He stopped short. "What do you mean `three of us'?"

She lowered her eyes. "I…I'm pregnant."

He blinked. "What?"

She nodded. He closed distance between them and placed his hand on her stomach. She gasped and tried to pull back, but she couldn't back up too far because of the door.

"You're not lying," he said. "I feel life within you. It's small, but present." He inhaled. "You're carrying the heir to my throne."

She looked up at him and saw his eyes full of sorrow. "Vegeta? Are you not pleased?"

He met her eyes. "You betrayed me."

She sighed. "When I was telling you that I was a spy, you didn't let me finish before you went berserk."

He stepped away from her and sat on the bed. "Finish then."

She sat down in a chair. "There is no way I could have sent information to Frieza."

"But I heard him say himself that…"

"Vegeta please," Bulma said. "Let me finish."

He grunted and fell silent. He made a hand motion for her to continue.

"The reason why is because when I was being chased by your soldiers, when they first spotted me, I fell and my communicator broke," she said. "When the soldiers frisked me they didn't find anything."

"Why's that?"

"It was located inside my bra and they didn't strip search me."

He laughed. "I should start telling them to do that then."

She frowned. "Anyway, when I got to my room I took a look at it. There was no way I could fix it, so I didn't bother. It's true that I was sent to Vegeta-sei with the mission of sending Frieza information on you, the King, and the planet, but I obviously couldn't."

"Who did then?"

"I don't know," she said. "I'm trying to figure it out. You see I work in the control room. I have access to a lot of things."

He nodded.

She rose from the chair and stood in front of him. "I know that I lied to you at first. When I first met you, I didn't like you at all, but as I got to know you I…" She reached out for him and ran her fingers over his cheek. "When I realized that I loved you, the lies had gone on so long that I didn't know what to do. So I didn't say anything. I thought maybe Frieza would think I was dead or something. All I wanted was you, Vegeta. Can't you see that?"

He looked at her, skeptically. "Who are you and where are you from? I want the truth this time."

She sat down next to him. "I'll tell you everything, but you have to promise not to repeat this information to anyone."

He nodded.

"My name is Bulma Briefs," she said. "I lived on Earth with my mother and father before Frieza came. My father owns the company Capsule Corporation. Have you heard of it?"

He nodded again.

"Frieza wanted my father to work for him," she continued. "Instead I volunteered to work for him. It's been about two years now. I have never given him any reason not to trust me and that's part of my plan."

"Plan?"

"Since I can get all the inside information I need, I'm in the midst of planning something with my father to escape Frieza and destroy his ships and entire system." She looked hard at him. "If I had the cooperation of you and your people we could take him out for sure."

Vegeta laughed. "You've got such big ideas. How do you know they will work?"

"I'm sure as hell going to try," she said. "Are you going to offer me your support?"

He thought about it for a moment. "I don't see why not. I don't like the lizard either."

She smiled. "Oh Vegeta. We have to stay together, if not for love, then for our child." She looked away. "I want you to know, all this time I never stopped loving you."

He smirked. "You think you're in love with me?"

She shook her head and met his eyes. "No, I know that I am. I don't know if you feel the same way about me. But…"

Vegeta reached out and touched her arm. "You want me to forgive you, is that right?"

She nodded.

He smiled. "I'm not sure if I should trust you, seeing as where it got me last time. How do I know you're not trying to trick me again? You may have formed a plan with Frieza himself to screw me over."

She frowned at him. "Before you knew I was a spy, but you didn't say anything and you didn't act on it. Can't you see the seriousness in my face now?" She studied his face. "I know you want to trust me."

"Those are awfully bold assumptions," he said, running his fingers up her arm. "But you're going to have to make it up to me for all that you've done."

"And how do you propose I do that?" she asked, carefully.

He pushed her down on the bed suddenly and she gasped. He bent down towards her and kissed her neck. She reached up and slid her fingers into his hair. She moaned as he found just the right spot.

His tongue flicked out along her skin and she giggled. "Did you miss me, Vegeta?"

He grunted in response and grazed his teeth along her skin. Her hands convulsed and she drew in a sharp breath.

"You're not making another seal are you?"

He drew back a little. "Would you like me to? The others have faded."

"It's not necessary," she said. "I know very well that you will all ways protect me and our child."

He nodded and descended on her again. "Now I will get compensation for the month I went through without the feeling of your body next to mine."

She laughed. "I have no objections."
