Chapter 12: Discoveries

The machine was prepared and ready. Clanthor put Bulma inside and started it. He had allowed Vegeta to undress her since he seemed very protective and possessive of her. This was when he had noticed the bite mark on Bulma's neck. There was one on Vegeta's neck as well. So he knew now the rumors must have all been true.

Vegeta was now covered in Bulma's blood. He didn't understand why he cared so much. So she was his mate, big deal. Was it because she had bitten him back? That had never happened with any members of the royal family. He remembered his father telling him that biting a female merely means she belonged to you and would bare your heir. But he had told him that a female biting you back was a weakness. He hadn't told the King she had also bit him and he didn't plan on it. He kept the mark pretty well hidden.

Vegeta sat in front of the tank with his suit covered in blood. Bulma floated silently in the tank. Clanthor came up behind him. "Prince Vegeta, you are covered in blood, perhaps you would like a shower and a change of clothes?" Vegeta sat there for a moment then stood up. "Fine." he went in the back and took a shower.



Vegeta was in the shower for an hour and a half. He got out and dried off then put on some fresh clothes. He walked back inside and sat down. Not long after he came in a small beeping came from the machine. Then a monotone female voice said, "Another life form detected inside the regeneration tank." Clanthor hurried inside. "Another life form?! But that’s not possible! Computer run a diagnostic field scan of the tank and a thorough ex-ray of the subject!"

Vegeta stood up. "What’s going on?! Has something gone wrong?! I swear if she dies I'll kill you myself!" Vegeta didn't like how he was being so protective or worried but didn't care right now. Clanthor nodded. "There are only two things possible. One the tank is malfunctioning or two there really is another life form inside the tank." Suddenly the monotone computer voice spoke. "Field scan complete. Life form is located inside the subject." Clanthor paled. "Show me the ex-ray."

An ex-ray of Bulma appeared but seemed blank. After a few minutes Clanthor understood. "Computer show me the US pictures." Vegeta growled. "What the hell is a US picture?! Have you found out what is wrong or not?!"

"You'll see in a moment." A small screen appeared and it showed a small life form on it. Vegeta growled again. "Well the hell is it?!"

Clanthor chuckled. "That my dear Prince is our little intruder. US stands for Ultrasound. That is the life form the computer detected which just happens to be a developing Sayain embryo. Bulma is pregnant nothing more. And the child seems to be developing rapidly. I would estimate four months before the child is born."

Vegeta froze. He had known she was pregnant as of this morning. He had felt the child developing when he had placed his hand on her stomach. But he hadn't realized it was developing so quickly. He wondered if the child developing so fast was going to hurt his new mate. 'My new mate...I like the sound of that.' He grinned to himself and starred at the growing fetus which seemed to be growing right before his own eyes.

Then he frowned. "Clanthor, you will not tell the woman or anyone else for that matter about this child...am I understood?"

"But shouldn't she..."

"NO! I said you will not tell her or anyone! Understand?!" Clanthor nodded. Not long after a beep was heard and Vegeta growled. "Now what?!" Clanthor looked at the stats. "She is ready to come out!" He pushed a button and the liquid in the machine began to drain. After it was drained Clanthor opened the machine and handed a towel to Bulma who was now awake. She grabbed the towel and wrapped it around herself then stepped out of the machine. "Thank you Clanthor. I am feeling much better than what I did when I was put in there."

Vegeta chuckled, "Well that sounds logical since when we put you in there you weren't even conscious and you had a hole in your chest." He was leaning against the back wall of the lab with his legs crossed and his arms folded over his chest. "I'd have to say you are looking better too. At least you have a little color to you now." Clanthor began to check her out and everything. "You seem to be in perfect health now. You are good to go. I think we should leave the other species test till tomorrow though. It is late and you should get some sleep." Bulma nodded. "How long was I in there?" "I'd say three hours at the max." She grinned. "That’s all! Wow this things works better than I thought it would."

She got dressed then looked over at Clanthor. "Well thank you for helping me test it Clanthor. And thank you Vegeta. Without you we wouldn't have had anyone to test it." He smirked. "It was my pleasure.” Then he walked over and whispered very close to her ear so that his breath tickled her. "I will see you soon in my bed..." He left her with that and walked out of the room.

Bulma blushed lightly. She didn't like how uneasy he made her feel. It bothered her to think that someone had that much control over her. She shivered as memories of the previous night started to come back to her. She wondered if he was going to be gentle with her tonight or if he would get tired of the nice act and be rough with her...She guessed she would find out soon enough as she made her way down the halls and to his room. She opened the door and walked in.
