While Suteru healed, Tencho carefully instructed him on the dangers of the streets. Once he was satisfied that the boy was well-informed and just well in general, the Simkon reluctantly let him go, giving him a months worth of money for food.

"Don't tell them your name Suteru, not ever. If you need help, don't tell them your name. Make something up, and keep away from getting to know anyone. They'll betray you in the end, one way or another. If your own mother would leave you to die in an alley, what do you think a stranger would do to you? Most people aren't as kind as I've been, so keep your guard up. Stay out of trouble kid." Giving the small Saiyajin one quick pat on the head Tencho retreated to his bar, closing the alley entrance behind him. Deciding that nothing good ever came out of being in an alley, Suteru assured himself he would never enter another one as he silently set off, unsure of what to do with himself.

He walked around most of the day in a daze, keeping to the nicer parts of town to avoid the dangers that his caretaker had told him of. He saw so many others species of creatures that it would have made his head spin had he not been overwhelmed already by the abruptness of his departure from the Simkon's humble nightclub.

Passing a few food carts, he was horrified by the number of vegetables cut, fried, baked, or just plain killed and sold. On Vegeta-sei plants and other such vegetation was sacred, and none dared eat it. Whispering a quick prayer for the butchered plant life, Suteru rushed past, a little unsettled by sight of other aliens busily munching on various fruits and vegetables. (AN: Please don't laugh at my idea y'all, I thought it was just so cool and brilliant, I love it!) Purchasing a stick with a few pieces of grilled meat on it, the Saiyajin child kept his eyes focused on the people instead of their food.

Bored, he stopped into a store that sold various armor, with a Saiyajin woman working behind the counter. Her eyes widened when they settled on Suteru, and she came from behind the counter to drop on one knee before him. "Vegeta-kon! I was unaware that you were here. Anything you need, please take it." Shaking his head in silence, Suteru took a handful of her short hair into his hand, bringing her face to meet his.

"Nage, sinkhu. I am not he. He was my brother." Looking slightly flustered at her show, the woman scrambled to her feet.

"Was? What do you mean, was? He still lives, right?" She broke off for a moment before realization dawned and her expression turned furious. "You! The little runt prince! Out! Get out of my shop, before the authorities come! I should just kill you now and cut your pathetic life short! OUT!" She shooed him out the door, yelling infidelities after him and looking about ready to carry out her threats. Scurrying down the street and around the nearest corner, Suteru stopped to catch his breath, unsure as to whether he should break down in tears or go back and see just how much damage she thought she could do to him. Reality seemed to really sink in, and he suddenly felt so alone, somehow knowing that almost his entire race, his beloved Saiyajin would curl their lip and look in dusgust at him. Him, the weak one, cursed to be one of the royal family and be too young and weak to defeat his most beloved brother.

He had not known what his fate would be once he lost, only that he would disappear, he assumed he would die. He only knew that it was awful, and the royal house erased his name, and never spoke of him again, hence their ridding themselves of his mother also. Shuddering at the thought of her, and brushing off other painful memories, he settled in front of a satellite broadcast station, a large screen on the front wall displaying the biggest news in the universe. A luscious green planet was shown, sitting peacefully in space. "Vejiita-sei," he whispered, reaching a hand towards the screen. A large asteroid-like shape hurtled at the beautiful planet, causing it to implode when impact was made.

His eyes widened, his heart nearly stopped, and breathing was an impossibility. As the fragments drifted away into the depths of space, he remained on his knees before the screen, eyes still wide in utter shock. A large crowd had gathered around the image, and a great cheer erupted from their throats as the video was replayed. Snarling in fury, Suteru stalked out into the open air, trying to clear out his senses.

The Saiyajin woman from the store came crashing around the corner, knocking a few aliens down as she flew towards the Saiyajin boy. "It's your fault!" She cried out, landing a punch to his gut while he tried to recover from his surprise. Crashing into the gathered mob, Suteru rushed back out to her, his blood boiling with pure anger as he lashed out, a blade formed of ki deftly slicing her in two. He watched in horror what his own actions had caused, as the woman fell to the ground, blood pooling around her screaming form. He had never killed before, and that he could do it without thought frightened him. At her feeble gesture he knelt at her side, leaning close in to hear her rasping voice.

"I wasn't…wasn't angry, w-with you. My mate, Ruinjin was on, the…the planet and…it hurts. Everything hurts…kill me. Quickly, get it over with, now!" He shook his head in answer, backing away so he couldn't hear anymore of her desperate pleas for death. She weakly lifted a bloodied hand to him, her eyes begging even when her mouth could not. Raising a palm towards her, he looked away as he formed a white ball of energy, releasing it to send her to a better place. When he looked back, only her tattered, somewhat singed form remained, and he fell back to his knees, a sob escaping his throat before he hit the ground.

Like I said, not near as long! But still, the story progresses, and more to come soon! Not too sure now how long this one is going to be… Whatever. I would like to dedicate this chapter to Greg-kun, me (tentative) significant other. Yes, he's my sweety-pie, and unfortunately, I won't see him for another two years, and then only if I'm lucky…He lives in Canada, a good 20+ hours away. *sigh* Someday, we'll go back to Japan again…I can't wait!
