Who's That Che Chi?

When they came back from the beach, Che Chi, told her friends, and family that she would be gone for a day. Chi Chi was a bit disappointed, but agreed. Trunks asked if he could go with her, but she refused; she said that she was going to go alone.

It has been two full days since she has left; and everyone was really worried, especially since there was a horrible thunderstorm. Trunks stayed at the Son's household because he knew that Che Chi would go there first.

That night Trunks, Chi Chi, and Gohan sat in the living talking while the thunderstorm still went on. They were enjoying themselves by talking about life, while all of a sudden the door flew open and the wind blew with the rain inside the house. The trio went to the door to close it, but when they reached the door they all gasped in unison.

At the door way stood a sheet white, damp Che Chi holding a bundle in her arms, shacking. She had a small smile on her lips, she was obviously happy to see them. Taking a step closer slowly, Che Chi lost her strength and began to fall. But before she could land on the ground Trunks caught her. Che Chi smiled at him with joy in her eyes, saying thank you. Shifting her head to look at her mother Che Chi said.

"Momma, come here, I want you to meet someone." Chi Chi walked up to Che Chi and noticed she was pointing to the wrapped up bundle in her arms.

"And who's that, Che Chi?" asked Chi Chi, to her cold daughter. Che Chi handed her mother the bundle, because she couldn't hold it any more. Snuggling closer to Trunks Che Chi murmured.

"It's me, the little me, it's your baby, Che Chi."

Everyone in the room went quite. Chi Chi slowly uncovered the bundle and saw that she was right; it was her baby Che Chi, all asleep sucking on her thumb. Letting out a cry, Chi Chi hugged her baby, and then Gohan ran up and hugged her too. They didn't notice how cold Che Chi actually was, until she started to cough badly. Trunks noticed this first; he couldn't believe that he was holding her and he didn't notice her coldness until now.

"Che Chi, we've got to get you in bed, your white as a ghost and freezing cold." Said Trunks, picking the fragile angel up in his arms. Chi Chi also got up to show Trunks Che Chi's room. Chi Chi and Gohan left the room to Trunks and Che Chi after they said thank you to Che Chi.

Trunks laid Che Chi down on her bed, and covered her up. He sat at the edge of the bed holding Che Chi's hand, and brushing a few cold wet bangs off of Che Chi's pale face.

"You're really something you know that Che Chi? Getting yourself almost killed for someone's happiness. That's just amazing, and bold." Trunks said, laughing to himself and bringing a smile on Che Chi's face. Bending over he kissed her forehead tenderly. He stood up and was about to leave, when he heard a weak voice calling out to him.

"Wait Trunks, please don't leave me. Please, I don't want to be alone." Turning around, Trunks saw Che Chi trying to get herself up weakly. Trunks rushed up to her and laid down next to her. He took her in his arms hugging her; he noticed that she was shivering. Holding her closer he kissed the top of her head. As they both drifted off to sleep. Knowing that tomorrow they will BOTH leave for the future world.
