To Find Out Where I Belong

Chapter: 4 The Beach

Days went by, and the felt like they knew Che Chi her whole life. And every day Trunks and Che Chi began to like each other more.

Chi Chi, loved it when Che Chi was around, she wasn't as lonely as she used to be. Che Chi would help her clean the house, and cook the food. This left extra time for them to talk. It also made Chi Chi in a happier mood, so she would (surprisingly) allow Gohan to hang out with his friends. But Che Chi saw that her mother was a very lonely person, and this always made her upset. 'There must be a way I can take that loneliness away from her.'

On the weekend, Bulma thought of going to the beach as a vacation for her family and Chi Chi's.

When they arrived at the hotel, they were given three rooms. One for Bulma and Vageta, one for Chi Chi, Gohan and Baby Trunks, and a room for Che Chi and Trunks, (Bulma and Chi Chi suggested thatJ)

They arrived at the hotel really late so the first thing they did was unpack and fall to sleep.

~* Bulma and Vageta's Room*~

"Woman, just come to bed. You just saw the brat 2 minutes ago. He's fine with Kaccorrot's mate."

"On, I'm sorry Vageta, I'm just worried. I hate being away from my baby." Replied Bulma, as she went to bed with Vageta.

"I know a way you'll stop worrying." Said Vageta, with a smirk on his face. Bulma turned towards him to ask what, but was cut off by Vageta, who was kissing her. This surprised her but she didn't stop him, instead the kiss became more passionate.

~*Switch to Chi Chi and Gohan's room*~

"Gohan!" whispered Chi Chi; her son had his ear against the wall. He looked at his mom with pleading eyes and said.

"But mom, I want to know what Trunks and Che Chi are doing."

Chi Chi sighed, her son was just as determined to get those two together as she and Bulma was.

"Honey, I think that they are just sleeping. And that's what you're going to do now. So hop into bed little guy." Gohan went away from the wall and went to snuggle up in bed with his mom. But there was a question on his mind that he had to ask.

"Mom, you know that dad loves you, right?" Gohan was looking at his mom sadly while asking this. Chi Chi looked at Gohan surprisingly and replied.

"Of course Gohan. I love your dad and he loves me. Why would you ask such a question?" Gohan looked down as if he were ashamed, and said.

"Well, sometimes I hear you cry at night, and you would say, "I hate you, Goku" in your sleep." Chi Chi smiled at her son and said.

"Gohan, I was upset. I could never hate your father. I love him too much to do that. And about crying well, I miss your father. I never wanted him to go in the first place to fight Cell because I knew that he would end up dead." Gohan looked up her and gave her a sad smile.

"Yeah, I miss him too." Chi Chi kissed him on the cheek and said.

"Good night, kiddo." And with that they both fell asleep.

~*Switch to Trunks and Che Chi's room*~

"I still can't believe they gave us a queen size bed to sleep on, Trunks." Said Che Chi who was brushing her hair in the bathroom.

"Me neither," replied Trunks "but, you can take the bed, I'll take the floor." From coming out of the bathroom, Che Chi told him.

"No Trunks, it wouldn't be fare that I have the bad and you have the floor. Come on your sleeping on this bed with me." The moment Che Chi said that she and Trunks began to blush.

Che Chi climbed into bed and saw that Trunks wasn't coming. She sighed, and her eyes saddened.

"Please Trunks, I won't be able to sleep if you're down there." Trunks gave in and walking towards the bed.

Che Chi started to blush. She now just noticed that Trunks had only a pair of boxers on, and she just had a white, short, nightgown.

Trunks climbed into bed, and turned the lights off to fall asleep. And they did, both on their own side of the bed. Both drifting off to sleep with one thing on their minds, each other,

~*Next Morning*~

Trunks was the first one to wake up. He noticed there was something snuggled against him, and he had his arms around it. Or should I say her. Looking down, Trunks saw that it was Che Chi.

'Wow even in her sleep she's beautiful.' Che Chi smiled in her sleep, and snuggled closer to Trunks.

Trunks pulled Che Chi closer to him and whispered softly to himself, with a sigh.

"I could most definitely get used to this." Trunks looked down at her. She began to stir, but she didn't wake. Bending down, trunks kissed the angel in his arms' forehead. Then, with a little hesitation, he pressed his lips against hers, hoping that she won't wake up. But the moment he brushed his lips against hers, he saw a flash. Just for a moment he saw the fear she felt when someone was trying to rape her, but she suddenly turned into a Super Sayjin. He also saw the fear in the disgusting mans eyes when she did this, and her ki energy blasted him onto a wall that killed the pervert instantly. Bringing his lips away from hers, he looked closely at her. 'She had such a horrible life, but how could of I seen that? That has never happen before.'

Trunks rested his head back on his pillow. Soon after, he fell back to sleep, holding the angel that fell down from heaven close, wishing that they could stay like that forever.

~*Moments later*~

Che Chi began to stir. She felt really warm, and for some reason safe. Opening her eyes, Che Chi saw that she was on someone. Her head was on someone's bare chest. Looking up Che Chi saw that this 'someone' was none other than Trunks.

She smiled up to him. He looked so peaceful, like he doesn't remember how horrible it is back at their home.

'But he's so adorable when he sleeps. I wish I could wake up in his arms every day of both of our lives.' After thinking that, Che Chi bended up, and without hesitation she brushed her lips against his lips. As he had done to her before. But she too had a flash of Trunks' past. She saw Trunks lose his best friend, his father figure. Also she felt the pain he had felt of his loose. Breaking the kiss, Che Chi looked at Trunks sadly. 'His life was just as horrible as mine is. But I wonder how I got that flash?' Che Chi put her head back on his chest. Hearing the beat of his heart, waiting for him to wake up.

Trunks began to stir. He slowly opened his eyes, and looked down at the angel. Che Chi must have sensed that he was awake, because she lifted her head from his chest and looked up at him. They smiled at each other, with a blush streaked across both of their cheeks. There was nothing but silence, until Che Chi broke it, by saying.

"Now, wasn't I right that you should sleep on this bed with me? Or do you still wish to sleep on the floor?" Trunks gave a little laugh and replied.

"Yes, you were right that I should sleep on this bed with you. I believe that, that was the best sleep I've ever had. How about you? Did you sleep well?" Che Chi's smile brightened, she cuddled up closer to him and said.

"Yes, I did, that was the best sleep I've ever had. I usually feel lonely at night. But last night, I didn't feel lonely at all." Trunks smiled at this, he was glad that she liked his company. To be honest he loves to be around her.

Che Chi lifted her head up off of Trunks' chest. She turned around to face him, and asked.

"Trunks, what time is it?" Trunks looked sleepily at his watch and replied.

"It's 9:30, why?" Che Chi's eyes became wide. She jumped out of bed and went into the shower. Trunks was still in bed, with a confused look on his face. Che Chi looked at him and yelled.

"Trunks get up! We have to meat the rest in fifteen minutes!" Automatically Trunks jumped out of bed, and went into the closet to change.

"Hey Che Chi, where are we going to meet?" asked Trunks, trying to find something to where.

"We're going to meet at the beach. So wear your trunks." After saying this, Che Chi began to laugh hysterically.

"Ha ha, vary funny Che Chi." Said Trunks. He hates it when people say that. Che Chi stopped laughing and said.

"I didn't mean it as a joke Trunks, it just came out. I'm sorry." Che Chi came out of the bathroom. Trunks noticed that she was wearing a dark blue bikini. He began to stare at her with amazement. 'Wow, she is absolutely beautiful.'

Che Chi noticed his stare, and she started to blush. No one ever gave her this much attention.

"Well since we're ready, how about we go to the beach." Asked Che Chi, getting really uncomfortable with Trunks' stare. As soon a he heard her voice he came back with reality. Blushing enormously Trunks replied.

"Um yeah, lets go." With that they both went out the door to the beach and met up with the rest of the gang.

The rest of the day everyone had fun. The girls talked girl talk, and the boys talked boy talk. But every now and then Trunks and Che Chi would take a glimpse of each other. And when they got caught they would start blushing. By nightfall everyone went in their rooms and went to sleep. Everyone except for Trunks and Che Chi. (AN: and no it's not a lemon)

Both Che Chi and Trunks were in bed, both quiet until Trunks spoke.

"So Che Chi you know that in three days we're going to go back home right?" Che Chi, who was lying on her stomach, turned her head towards Trunks, with her eyes full of shock.

"No, I didn't know Trunks. Um…and I don't know if I can go back with you, Trunks." Said Che Chi, who turned away from him. Tears began to pool in her eyes. Trunks looked at her in shock. 'What, she doesn't want to come back? Is it because of me?'

"Che Chi, why don't you want to come back? Is it because of me?" Trunks turned his head away, afraid of her answer. Che Chi looked at him horrified. How could he think that it's because of him? She would of gone with him in a heartbeat but there is a problem.

"Trunks it's not because of you. Not at all. It's my mom, she just seems so lonely, and I just can't leave her a lone. If only I could bring her happiness back." Che Chi pondered to herself. Trunks sighed sadly to himself.

"That is true, ever since you were kidnapped, and then your fathers death your mom's really upset. I mean who wouldn't be, she lost to vary important people in your life." This for some odd reason brought a smile to Che Chi's face. She looked right at him with joy in her eyes. Although Trunks had no idea she was so happy. The next thing Trunks knew, Che Chi jumped up, hugged him and yelled out.

"Trunks, you're a genius!" with that she kissed him on the cheek, and put her head down on the pillow to sleep with a smile on her face. Trunks was still in shock. First from the kiss, and secondly he had no idea what she was talking about. But that smile on her face told him not to worry. So, he just smiled to himself, and lied down to sleep, holding Che Chi in his arms. Also with a smile on his face.

What's on Che Chi's mind? Will she and Trunks ever tell each other how they feel about each other? Don't you just hate cliffhangers? * He-he *Well please review and tell me what you think.
