To Mend A Broken Heart

Chapter 1

It was Valentine's Day and Bulma Briefs the richest woman in the world was getting ready for a date with her long time boyfriend Yamacha. She was putting the finishing touches of her makeup on when the phone rang. She hurried and picked up the phone by her bed.

"Hello, Brief residence. Bulma speaking." answered Bulma as she winked at her reflection in the mirror.

"Bulma babe (coughing) I don't think I can make it tonight. I have suddenly got real sick." lied Yamacha.

"Yamacha when are you coming back to bed. Are you done checking on your mother." whined a woman's voice.

"Well babe I am going to get off her and go straight to bed and get some rest. I am sorry."

"That's ok Yamacha. I understand. Do you want me to bring you some soup." asked Bulma.

"No that's ok I think I will just get off here and go straight to bed" he said hurriedly and hung up the phone.

"Well that was strange he didn't even give me the chance to say good-bye!" as she hung her phone up. "I will just take him some soup anyway. And take him the gold necklace I got him as a gift to him too."

She got her purse and put Yamacha's gift in it. And as she walked by Vegeta's room she walked in and placed a capsule on his pillow that contained a new and improved gravity machine and a dozen new training outfits. She shut his door back and headed downstairs. When she got to the kitchen there was Vegeta sitting at the table feeding his face.

"Why Vegeta feeding your face again I see." she laughed as she went to the cabinet and pulled out 4 cans of home style beef vegetable soup.

Vegeta just hpmmed as he looked up at her. He almost dropped the sandwich in his hand when he saw what she was wearing. There she was before him in a long blue dress that clings to every curve of her body. The scent of her perfume invaded his senses. Her long beautiful blue hair was in a bun on the top of her head.

She turned toward Vegeta as she was putting the soup that was in a big kettle on the stove to cook. She laughed when she saw him there staring at him with his mouth gaped open. She walks over to him.

"Hey Vegeta see something you like" she laughed as she waved her hand in front of his face.

He snapped out of his trance. He looked at how close she was to him and was embarrassed and angry with himself for letting her see him like that.

"What do you want" he snapped as she walked back to the stove to take the soup off the stove and put into a large bowl.

"Nothing was just wondering if you liked what you saw." she smirked as she put the lid on the bowl of soup.

"There is nothing here I see that I like" he snapped as he stormed out the back door to the gravity room.

She looked in her purse to make sure she had the necklace for Yamacha. Picked up the bowl and went out the front door laughing. She threw down her blue Mercedes capsule car. And headed to Yamacha's. She couldn't get the image of Vegeta.

*He looked so good with just his training shorts on. And those muscles.* her eyes sparkled as she thought of him.

"What am I thinking he would never want to be with me? And I have Yamacha." as she pulled into the apartment complex where Yamacha lived. "Though it would be nice to see how good a kisser he is."

~~~~~~~Gravity Machine~~~~~~~~~

*What was I thinking she would never be with someone like me. I have too much blood on my hands.* growled Vegeta at himself as he sulked on the gravity room floor.

He stood and walked over to a little gravity free little panel in the wall where he kept water, towels and a first aid kit. He pulled out a blue velvet box. He opened it to reveal a large six caret diamond that had baguettes surrounding it. He smirked as he remembered how he came to have it. He was still serving Freiza when he confiscated it from his collection.

He closed the box and walked out of the gravity machine. And flew to her bedroom balcony. He opened the french doors. He walked into her room and placed the box on her satin covered pillow. He wrote a quick note and left it with the gift.

He quickly left the room and went back to training. To rid his thoughts of the blue haired vixen who has had his heart from the moment he laid eyes upon he.

~~~~~~~~Outside Yamacha's~~~~~~~~~~

She got out of her car and walked up the two flights of stairs to his apartment. She got her key and opened up the door. She dropped the soup when she walked in and there on dining room table was Yamacha and that idiot Marron. There he was have fooling around with her. Her anger got the better of her. Neither seemed to notice that she was standing there behind. So she walked over to Marron who was on top and yanked her off of him by her blue hair.

"Hey what is going on." screamed Marron as she tried to get her hair loose

Yamacha sat immediately up and gasped at what he saw. There was his girlfriend Bulma beating on his lover Marron.

"Bulma babe it's not what it seems." as he walked over to her.

She glared at him and kicked him in the balls and as he fell to his knees she punched him as hard as she could in the nose.

"Not what it seems. Don't give me that crap. I am not stupid. Was I not enough for you? Well it doesn't matter anymore because we are through." she screamed as she slammed his front door shut.

*Man what have I done. I have to get her back. My baseball career will not last forever.* he thought as he crawled over to Marron who was still on the floor crying with a black eye and a busted lip. He touched his on face timidly and grimaced when he felt his nose was broken.

Bulma cried the whole drive home. When she arrived home she didn't bother to encapsulate her car she just left it in the driveway.

When she entered the house she ran straight to her room and flung herself to the bed. She noticed a box and a note beside her head. She read the note and smiled and opened the ox and gasped.

"This is the most beautiful ring I have ever seen." as she yawned and fell asleep clutching the ring and note to her chest.

A few hours later Vegeta came in from training. He walked into his room and there on his pillow was a capsule and with it a note telling him what was in it.

"I will just have to try it out tomorrow" as he placed them on the nightstand on his way to take a shower.

He quickly showered. He wanted to see what she thought of his gift to her. He quietly walked to her and opened the door. There she was on her bed still in the blue dress.. He floated over to her. He smirked s he saw her hugging the note and ring to her chest. But when he looked at her beautiful face he frowned. It was tear stained. He vowed then and there that he would find out what that weakling had done to his woman to make her cry.

He quickly covered her up and gently kissed her on the forehead. And swiftly made his retreat to his own room to retire. He went straight to sleep when his head hit the pillow. Tonight as always his dreams would be of her. And she would dream of him.
