True Love Conquers All

Chapter 8

~~~~~~Elsewhere~~~~~~

In a cave hundreds of miles away, Vegeta has done nothing but try to train for the past 6 weeks that he has been gone from Capsule Corps. His cloths are tore and bloody, his tan muscles are sore from his training. In the light of his fire the sweat glistens on his face and body like little pearls. He is sitting mediating trying to get the pictures of a certain blue haired woman out of his head.

"I am the Prince of all Saiyans I am not supposed to feel love. What if I tell her I am having these feelings and she rejects me? I could not live with that kind of pain. Maybe I should just kill her and get rid of my problems. "Scowls Vegeta

He gets a funny feeling in his stomach telling him that he would never be able to live without her.

~ I could never hurt her. I will just get some rest and think about this later. ~ He lies down on the floor of the cave and falls to sleep immediately. Vegeta scowl deepens as his thoughts begin to plague his dreams.

~~~~~~Dream~~~~~~~

He is surrounded in blackness, when out of no where comes a blinding light. Vegeta takes his arm and covers his eyes. When he finally can see where the light is coming from, he sees her there standing before him. She seems to be floating on air; she is dressed in a long flowing white dress that makes her figure look even more beautiful. Her beautiful aqua hair is floating around her head like a halo of water, her aqua eyes are shining beautiful pools of water that you could get lost in. To make her even more exotic she has beautiful creamy skin. Before him is a woman that looks so beautiful but fragile like a porcelain doll. One wrong move and she would shatter.

"Bulma" questions Vegeta as his brows knit together as he watches her.

"Vegeta, why didn't you save me? Why wasn't you there when I needed you the most." as she vanishes from in front of him to be replaced by his father King Vegeta who is glaring down at his son. He has a very regal feel to him; his eyes are like shinning black orbs. The only difference in appearance of the two is, the king is five to six inches taller and he sports a goatee.

"Father what are you doing here" as he glares at his father.

"You are a disgrace to the saiyan race." laughs King Vegeta as he strokes his goatee. "You let a third class saiyan become a super saiyan before you, but I knew all along that you worthless."

"That's not true father, I am stronger than Kakarott. You will see I will become a super saiyan and destroy him." vows Vegeta as he is shaking his fist in the air.

King Vegeta just laughs even harder at his son. Vegata falls to his knees, and holds his head in his hands.

"This can't be happening," shaking his head in disbelief. "I have to be dreaming, if I am why won't I wake up?"

His father then vanishes and is replaced by Goku. Goku is looking down at him with a frown on his almost always serene face. His eyes don't have the same look of joy they usually have, at this moment they look dull and lifeless.

"Kakarott" screams Vegeta

"You should have been there to save her." states Goku his voice getting louder and louder when each word is spoke.

"What are you talking about Kakarott." ask a confused Vegeta. "I demand you tell me what you are talking about."

"You should have forgotten about your pride and went back to her." replied Goku as he eyes went dead of all life "Now it is too late for the both of you."

"Should have been there to help you? The woman? Has something happened to her?" a pained look crosses Vegeta's face. As images of his woman being hurt. The pain the turns to anger.

Vegeta lunges himself at Goku. He starts throwing punches and kicks as fast as he can, but Goku is too fast all of his attempts to hit him fail. Goku just laughs at him and powers up to super saiyan. Just by powering up he flings Vegeta seven or eight yards. Goku smirks and flies a few feet from him.

"You think you actually have a chance in hurting me, if you believe that you can, you are stupid." laughs Goku "You are not worthy to be a saiyan."

King Vegeta suddenly appears beside Goku. And he starts laughing. He looks over at Goku and smirks

"I think we should finish him off Kakarott. You know get rid of bad rubbish." as he looks down at Vegeta then over to Goku once again "I should have had a son like you. You wouldn't be an embarrassment to the royal family or the Saiyan Empire."

"No father you don't mean that." cried Vegeta as he fell to his knees

They both start punching and kicking at the fallen prince. He looked up to see Kakarott forming a ki ball in his hand. Vegeta squeezed his eyes shut waiting for the blast to hit him but it never came. He suddenly felt his upper body being pulled into some ones lap. He looked up to see her again. She was smiling at him. He looked behind him and Goku and his father were gone.

"Don't worry they are gone, they can not hurt you know." hugging his body closer to his. She whispers, "You have to wake up Vegeta and save me. Hurry before it is too late."

Vegeta wakes up like a shot. He is sweating and panting. He stands up and walks out of the cave. He is still a little disoriented. The sun is just starting to rise. It glistens on the grass in front of him. He remembers the dream. Something tells everything is not as it should be.

"She is my salvation; I must get to her and tell her I love her before it is too late." As he flies off in the direction of the place he has called home since he arrived on this dirt ball of a planet. Just the thought of her being hurt and him not there to protect her makes him feel like his hearts is tearing apart, so he speeds it up, so he can get there as soon as possible
