Ch-4

‘Trunks……stupid, headstrong, saiyan, boxer-boy…’ Matti’s list went on. Her ki rose from her anger as she flew on, golden hair signifying her super saiyan state. Her mind revolved on what happened about five minutes ago.

After checking that Trunks was ok about his little ‘chat’ with his dad, the two made their way to the others.

“I know that android was Gero.” Bulma told them, “I’ve seen him in one of my dad’s magazines before. This really does prove he‘s a genius.”

“Hey, that’s good to know,” Matti said sarcastically. Once seeing the old, ‘Matti!!!’, look, she cleared her throat and spoke again. “Do you have any idea where his lab is? Easier to destroy his lab and the rest of his crap before anything comes after us.”

The woman shrugged, shifting baby Trunks to her other shoulder. “The only rumor I’ve heard of where his lab is located….would be in the mountains by North City.”

“He spoke of 17 and 18, who you two probably know.” Piccolo said, “Tell us what they look like so we’re not wrong a second time.”

Trunks nodded and took center stage. “Right. No.17 is a boy with shoulder length black hair and a bandana around his neck. No.18 is a pretty girl with cloths like mine. Both have hoop ear rings and blue, icy eyes.”

“That was important information that we could have known sooner....” Vegeta snapped, glaring at the boy. He saw him fidget under his stare.

“Back the fuck off already, got it?!!” Matti snarled, leering back to his level, “I don’t care how anybody else puts up with you, but I’m not one to bow down. Now shut it or I‘ll make you!”

“Like to see you try!”

“BRING IT ON!!!!”

“Ladies first! Wait, your too built like a boy!”

“Thank you for pointing out the obvious, Jack-Ass!!”

“VEGTA!/MATTI!”

“WHAT!”

Mother and son shot a glance at one another before turning to the ‘children’.

Matti noticed the looks and groaned. “Ok! O-K! Fine! Don’t expect me to be taking orders from him when we find them though! I don‘t need a dictator.”

“That’s fine. Nobody really listens to him anyway.” Bulma told her.

Trunks shoved her when she immaturely stuck her tongue out at the prince. “Shut up.” Again, he could not figure out her personality, even though he has lived with her since he was five.

Piccolo, not wanting Matti and Vegeta to start another ‘conversation’, asked, “Do these androids drain energy from their hands?”

“Hunh? No. Since I’ve known them, they have infinite energy.” The boy told him, “That’s what makes them impossible to kill at once.”

Vegeta snorted at that, but stayed quiet after seeing both Matti and Bulma’s glare.

Trunks turned to Matti, noticing she was looking around. “Where’s Goku?” she pointed out, “He’s not here. Nothing, err……happened to him, right?” She had noted Gohan’s presence and not his father’s.

“That disease you told us about just hit him when the fight first started.” Krillin told her, “Yamcha left to take him home so he could used the medicine you gave him.”

“……oh crap! We spent over 20 minutes standing around!” Here, Matti glared at Vegeta. “Before the androids blow stuff up, we better get going!”

“For once, I’ll hand it to you for thinking on level, Brat.” the prince agreed, “But you’re not on the same level as a Prince of Saiyans. Why don’t you stay here before you get hurt.”

Matti threw his smirk right back at him. “Thanks for the concern, but I refuse to let you out of my sight. Your too weak to fight the androids anyway. That’s why we need Go-ku!”

“Forget Kakarrot. That weakling couldn’t even finish the first one off. I can do all this on my own.” Thinking he was right and she was wrong, the conversation ended as he took off after the enemy.

“Jack-ass.” Matti muttered under her breath. She suddenly felt Trunks’ ki sky rocket.

“I can’t let him go alone!!” he informed no one in particular, “He died in my time, and I won’t let my father die a second time!!” Without another word, Trunks powered up and was of in the sky.

‘……Like that wasn’t a dead giveaway…..’

“Dad? Did he say dad?”

Matti gulped. She too was just realizing that Vegeta was Trunks father. Who could blame her? She didn’t know! She kept her eyes to the sky where her friend left, waiting for the many more questions to come from Bulma’s mouth. ‘oops…..guess Trunks was that little mistake in his life…’

“Enough hiding the obvious. Bulma, that boy’s name is Trunks. He will grow up from that baby in your arms. He is your son.

“What?!”

‘That’s a good one.’ Matti thought to herself, smiling.

“That does make sense now, I guess. Who are you though?”

Matti turned at the question, facing Krillin. “Well, I’m not his sister, that’s for sure. I grow up with him when he’s about five. Just call me Matti.” She wanted to die once the sly look on Bulma’s face appeared. “And we’re not ‘THOSE’ kinds of friends!” To hide her embarrassment, she powered to super saiyan and went after Trunks.

‘He just went headlong and left me there! I’m making him explain any farther details from now on! First, he watches as I puke after the time machine, then he becomes speechless around the others, doesn’t defend me in any way against Jack-Ass……’ A small smile played with her lips. ‘I couldn’t be without him though.’ She jumped when her cell phone rang. “Err….hello?”

“Kick ass on how these things work, ne?”

“Shut up Trunks. What’s going on?”

“I just felt someone’s ki increase. I think they found the lab. Can you sense me?”

“Yeah. I’ll be over in no time.” She hung up her phone then powered up and flew on toward Trunks.

**

‘Deja vu…..mountains and androids…..oohhh man, not again….’ Matti’s body shivered uncontrollably, seeing her foes. She couldn’t help being terrified of them, especially the dark haired one.

“Just stay calm.” she heard Trunks tell her quietly, his back facing her, “I won’t let anything happen to you.”
