**When ‘#’ comes up, that does not mean that they are saying number. I just did it for shits and giggles and farts and burps.**

Trunks stepped slowly in front of his friend. He knew she was frightened and losing her edge. With his life, he was going to protect her, no matter what the androids decided to do after killing their creator.

Matti practically lost everything when she made eye contact with #17. The meeting was for only a second, possibly less. That didn’t matter. She knew he was scoping out his prey and he just found it. “They….they’re gonna open another one?” her voice squeaked, “We can’t handle another one, Trunks….”

Krillin couldn’t help but turn to see what had gotten into the girl. ‘What’s up with her? She’s….almost as scared as me! Man, these guys must be bad!’

Just as #17 told his sister to unlock #16, Matti shouted, “Do Something Already!!!”

Trunks couldn’t take it. He didn’t want Matti hurt again, like the last time….

Using his last resort, he powered up to super saiyan and used his burning attack to destroy the lab.

Once safely away, Matti snapped at him and Vegeta told him that it was a waist of good energy.

“What The Hell? You could have killed the asses we’re trying to save here! What made you do that?!” The girl questioned angrily. She moved back when he swiftly spun to face her.

“I panicked, ok?!” he exclaimed, blue eyes now dark, “I didn’t know what to do! I didn’t want him to get to you!”

Matti moved back even more, not daring to shout back.

“You made a big mistake boy.” Vegeta called, “That wimpy blast did nothing.”

“What do you mean?!” Trunks responded, no more patience clearly lost in his tone. As the dust on the cliff cleared away, the enemies were visible, setting down the enormous capsule containing their brother. “Shit.” he breathed.

“Hurry up and open it, #18.” #17 said, “I might die of old age here.”

“Shut up.” The blond kicked the cover of the case open, allowing the heavy metal to fall. The twins waited patiently for the new arrival to awake.

Not soon after, #16’s large hands rose, gripping the sides of the case for support as he hauled himself up. His bulky form seemed too big for the case once he left it. He was a lot taller and muscle bound than the other two as well.

The young time travelers were not sure what to think. They had never seen an android like #16. Including the Z fighters, they had no idea what to expect.

After what seemed like hours, the three ended their conversation and took off into the sky at high speeds.

“Hey…..they ran way? That is a good thing, right?” Krillin breathed.

Trunks glanced to Matti, seeing her movements odd. “What’s up?” he asked.

“….they’re not headed for North City.” she told him, head swiveling from the town to the direction of the androids, “Where the hell are they going then?”

A few seconds past when Krillin came up with an answer. “Goku! That’s the direction of Goku’s house!! Gero wanted to punish Goku for destroying the Red Ribbon Army, remember?”

“But….they just rebelled against him,” Tien pointed out, “Now there’s no telling what they’ll do.”

Matti turned to Vegeta when he asked who cared. She felt his ki rising and bit her lip. She held her silence thanks to Trunks’ quiet stare. They then turned when the prince powered up to super saiyan.

Trunks flew in front of his father. “You mustn’t go!!” he ordered, making sure to watch his words, “We have to wait a little longer for Goku! Without him, you can’t beat the androids alone.”

“Wait for that baka? Who cares about him. I’m doing what I want; Kakarrot is out of the picture.”

Blinded by pure frustration, Matti started with her own words. “Open you eyes and ears, old man, and listen to us.” Managing to keep her tone level, she continued. “We know what those things are capable of, not you. You don’t know everything and will learn the hard way fast. This is not a fight where you can just turn the other cheek and try again later. Right now, these next few minutes are going to determine whether you are strong or not. Suck up to defeat. That’s what makes you a real man. Teamwork is also a factor.”

“I have heard enough of your fucking orders.” Vegeta spat, aggravated, “Nobody asked you to interfere, bitch.”

“Don’t Talk To Her Like That!!” Trunks screamed, anger suddenly boiling in his chest. That feeling was soon lost, however when a swift fist made contact with his midsection. The saiyan wrapped his arms around his stomach, groaning in pain.

Before Vegeta could take off, a well built palm came roughly across his face.

“Like I said,” Matti muttered, “teamwork is a factor.”

Angered and humiliated that a woman just slapped him, the prince snarled and took off, not once taking a second to make a smart remark.

Not bothering to watch Vegeta fly off in a tantrum, Matti placed her hands on Trunks back. “You ok?”

Her lilac haired friend nodded, striating up somewhat. “I think so. We have…to stop him now. We have to save his ass, as well as the others, remember?”

Matti sent him a quick smirk, glad he was listening once and a while.

Matti ran a hand in her raven hair, body miserably in pain. She glanced around and noticed she wasn’t the only one laying around in the dirt.
