Two: Tempest begin

The next mornin grolled by so slowly. Trunks and Vegeta were up at the first beam of sunlight that peeked over the horizon. Bulma and Bra slept in, dozig fitfully. The two girls had stayed up pretty late chatting, and couldn't seem to motivate themselves to get up. Although as soon as 10:30 came upon them, Bra figured she could pass the time down at the mall with the other girls. Bulma on the other hand wasn't used to staying up that late so she peacefully slept on.

While Vegeta trained with Trunks in the gravity room, he was completely focused on his son's movements and nothing else, almost as though he were deliberately keeping his mind off another subject. That subject was obviously the dream he had last night, it was that woman that had him all confused. Yet Trunks, inherriting this trait from his mother, saw right through his father's facade. He wouldn't say anything to him though. No, it wasn't his place to do so. He would leave that to his mother.

When a few hours passed, the two of them decided a break would do them good. Within this break time Vegeta made his way into the kitchen intending on grabbing something to eat. He entered the the hall and before he got to the doorway of the kitchen he felt a soft touch on his bare back. A small smirk graced his fine features and without turning around he adressed the figure behind him. "I see your up finally. . ."
Bulma walked around to his front and smiled. "Yes i'm up. What time is it anyway?" She asked looking around to catch a quick glimpse at the clock. He looked to the fridge. "Time for lunch."
She rolled her eyes before she leaned in and locked him in a kiss. After drawing back she poked her index finger into his firm chest, still with a smile to show she was playing around. Her voice took on a mock lecturing sounding tone. "Always thinking about your stomach I see. Some things never change."
He chuckled softly, and brushed past her to lean against the table gazing at her with a smirk. He stated in a cocky manner. "Don't mistake me for Kakarot now."
She drew closer to him, getting more playful. She loved to get him all riled up. "Oh, and what is that supposed to mean?"
She recieved no repsonse. To her surprise he dropped the cute/play argument and proceeded to gather some items for lunch, all the while remaining rather quiet. Bulma knew why he was wuiet, he was thinking about something still...and keeping it from her. She walked over to him standing behind him with her arms around him leaning against his back. " . . . Would you like to tell me whats on your mind? You're pretty quiet...even for you." Her voice was calming implying that she meant well.
He put it simply. "No." He threw together a rather large sub sandwich, and turned to face her. It would figure that she was wearing that usual look on her face that said 'I'm going to figure out what your problem is if i have to drag it out of you'
The events in his dream played through his mind over again The woman that was in it; she was a saiyan female, something was strange about that. Sure it wasn't completely odd to see another saiyan considering what happened with his 'brother and niece' a year ago. Rai-en had been staying with them since he was killed. No it was the fact that she knew exactly who he was, and everything about him. She implied that they knew each other. He didn't know her, at least not that he could recall. Yet her face and eyes were haunting, crimson red hair and__
He was pulled from his thoughts by his mate's questioning again. "Vegeta . . . what's going through that head of yours? I'm curious now."
He didn't know what to say, until she grabbed his arm as he attempted to walk away. "Why are you avoiding my question? What are you keeping from me?"
Not really having control over what he did next, he pulled his arm back abruptly, shifting her off balance a bit. His dark eyes were that much darker and cold. His tone of voice was rather harsh. "Onna...I suggest you cease your constant nagging and stay out of my business."
She stepped back from him, blinking several times, and took a minute to think about what he just said. Normally she would just yell right back at him, but he hadn't spoken to her like that in years, not since he first started living here. It kind of startled her, to hear him talk like that after so many years.
Well she wasn't going to let that stop her from getting what she wanted, she would just have to do this like they used to. "What the hell is your problem today?! I'm only trying to help."
He snapped, fiercely. "Don't!" Now she was determined, a bit shocked, but still determined. "What?! Why not?!"
They were starting to sound like they used too before he started to change. "It was only a rediculous dream, nothing more. It's not like it's even possible."
She didn't understand, "What was a dream, what happened. I don't even know what your talking about . . . was it that nightmare last night? Please tell me."
He was yelling now, not even realizing it, but he was yelling at her. "Enough! Just stay out of it." He had no clue as to what was going on as he turned away from her.
She grew silent for a moment; /That was odd./ She didn't like the fact they were arguing, so she ccalmed down letting her voice drop back down to a calming tone. "I'm concerned about you. I love you Vegeta...and i'm just concerned is all."
He was about to open his mouth to say something before she said that, but he paused to think about what just happened. He had done everything short of threatening and insulting his mate. It was then her words hit him and he came back to reality. She was worried about him, she really did love him. He must have startled her with his unexpected actions. Now he really felt there was something odd going on. He had to clear his hea dand get out of the house for a while. Maybe a spar would do him some good. It was decided he would call up Goku and take his frustrations out on him during a well needed spar.
Cautiously, Bulma turned him to face her again. His eyes had lightened, no longer hard and cold. He remained silent, even as she grasped his hand gently. He didn't know what to say exactly. He probably should apologize, but he couldn't really bring himself to do so. Although it seemed he didn't have to, looking down at his hand in hers. He placed his other hand on top of hers, looking down. Without another word he released her hand, removed his other, and turned away heading out to the bedroom. As she watched him leave the room, she sighed and sat down. Something wasn't right, not at all.

&n bsp; The fiery red head laughed in amusement over the pathetic sentiment she had witnessed while in the midst of the stbborn prince's mind. She was proud of herself, that was fun. Well now it was time to be serious as she leapt of the bed and strolled into the bathroom. Taking from her side-bag a vile and a double-edged blade, she prepared for her next move. She opened the vile, and unsheathed the blade...taking it to her palm. She slashed her palm quickly and let a small drip of blod drop into the open vile. The blood mixed perfectly with the contents of the vile, and she closed it up tight once again, stashing it in her side bag. Once she cleaned up her mess, sheleft the blade in the bathroom finding no need for it and exited the rom entirely. This was officially the beginning of the rest to come.
