Radditz glanced at Bulma, and then at Chi-chi, oblivious of what was going on. He studied the expressions on their faces, but he still couldn't understand the reason of the situation.
"You two know each other?"
Chi-chi blinked rapidly, as if trying to get all the information to her brain in a short period of time. she brushed her hair away from her face, and tucked it safely behind her ear.
"When did you-" began Chi-chi.
"Yesterday." Bulma answered quickly.
"I see."
"What's with the red streak?"
"I thought it would look nice."
"It totally clashes with your t-shirt, what were you thinking?"
"You always have to say something negative about my appearance."
For a moment, Radditz thought they were going to fight, he was getting up, just in case; he would have to stop them. But he was proved wrong, when they held each other in a warm embrace. He was confused (Radditz O_o;;). Just moments ago they were insulting each other.
"How've you been? I thought you were... dead." Bulma asked in tears.
"I've been good. I finally get to do what I've always wanted." Chi-chi said, smirking.
"What do you mean?"
"She's a personal trainer." explained Radditz.
"I kicked some guys ass this morning, you should have been there. He was trying to hit on me, and I used my finishing move on him." she grinned.
"Finishing move??" (Bulma: O_o??)
"I'll explain later." Radditz murmured under his breath, so that only Bulma heard what he said.
"Oh look now, I think he's staring at me!" Chi-chi giggled. Bulma looked at the direction she was staring at, and noticed a guy waving at Chi-chi. He was sporting a black eye, and a swollen lip.
"What did you do to him?" croaked Bulma.
"Oh, this and that." she brushed her knuckles on her chest. "Don't get me wrong, I get bitchy in the morning-"
"We know that." Radditz and Bulma both said monotonously.
"Damn right you do!!" she spat, slamming her fist on the table, causing a scene. Bulma didn't know if she should laugh or run.
"I forgot about the drinks." erupted chi-chi all of a sudden, she ran behind the counter. Bulma looked at Radditz, and then looked away, blushing. Ever since Yamcha was killed (Bulma: May his soul rest in peace.) She never had any time, or the will to meet any men. She knew, of coarse, that Radditz was older than her, but... she never felt this way about another man before. Besides... he was cute, and funny, and... sexy.
"What's wrong, Bulma?"
She blushed. "Oh... it's nothing-"
"You look... a bit feverish." he put his hand on the side of her face. She gasped at their contact. (Bulma: "eep!!")
Chi-chi came back with her hands full, carrying a bottle of very strong tequila in one hand, and three shots in the other. She noticed Radditz caressing Bulma's cheek, she giggled.
"Aww, just look at you two, hitting second base!!"
Radditz took back his hand, and Bulma looked away, blushing. "It was nothing like that, Chi!! Don't assume things-"
"Dude, I was only joking, geez!! Can't you take a joke!!"
Radditz took a shot, and drank it in one gulp. Bulma looked down at hers tentatively.
"Your first time?" Radditz asked, serving himself another shot.
"Yeah." she murmured sheepishly.
He gulped down his shot, and shivered afterwards. He reminded her of a wet dog, trying to shake the water off. This image made her laugh.
"What's so funny?"
She shook her head. "Oh, it's nothing." She took her shot, and drank it in one gulp, just like Radditz did, but quickly regretted it. The liquid burned her throat, it was making her eyes water, and she was becoming dizzy. It was... a good feeling.
"I need another." she droned.
"Sure." he said, serving her another shot, and one for himself. Chi-chi sat next to Radditz, and also served herself a shot.
After her second shot, Bulma was beginning to feel exuberant, like she was on the clouds... and everything began too look very funny to her. "Am...I... drunk?"
Chi-chi leaned against the table lazily, pink patches becoming more noticeable on her cheeks. She grabbed the bottle, and drank directly from it. "I'm not sure... you know.... *burp*.... I think I am..."
She looked across the table, and waved at the man she had beat up earlier. She winked at him, and she walked over to where he was sitting. Bulma glanced at Radditz, and served herself another shot.
"May I... ask you a question?" she said, slightly slurry.
"Sure."
"How did... how did you meet... Faith?" she asked, and drank her shot abruptly. Radditz took a deep breath, and glanced at Bulma.
"I met Faith... exactly how I met you." he said, his speech a little slurry. "It's a long story..."
"Flashback"
Faith woke up abruptly, and began to rub her neck. She didn't remember how she got hurt, or where she was.
"You done resting yet?"
She looked up, and saw a man staring at her. He had a disgusted look in his face... she couldn't tell his expressions. He walked up to her, and caressed the side of her cheek. She didn't flinch, or move away. She just stayed there... staring into his eyes.
"You stupid girl, do you know why you're here?"
She shook her head, and he smirked. "You're here, for me." he hissed, and took her hand, placing it on his arousal, so she could fell it. She winced.
"You wouldn't... I won't..."
"Are you scared? Tell me you're scared. I like the smell of fear in a woman... It makes things... exciting." he leaned down to her, and took a whiff of her hair. Faith closed her eyes, and took his hand. Radditz was taken by surprise by her actions.
"Say whatever you want... I know that... you won't do anything to me."
"And what makes you so sure about that, slave girl?"
She looked at him, and closed her eyes. "Because... when I'm around you... I feel... so weird... I feel that I can... I feel that I can trust you."
Her words took him by surprise. He spent the night, her words making him stay up at night. She was delusional, he thought... but those words... he didn't touch her at all after that. Faith was just no ordinary girl... she was just... something else...
"It's been a while since I've had sex." Radditz said, while they ate ramen soup. Faith sat next to him, and gave him stare.
"How can you talk about it so casually?"
"Dunno." he murmured.
They stood quiet for a moment, eating their soup.
"You know, I don't ever want to get married." he said, out of the blue.
"Why not?"
"Well... won't you get tired of... well... seeing the same person everyday?"
Faith stood up, and gave him a strange look. "Not if you're in love."
He laughed. "Not if you're in love... good one Faith." he snickered. She laughed too, and blushed.
"I love you too, Radditz."
He choked on his ramen, and stared at her feet. He couldn't... look her in the eye. "Don't lie to me... or yourself, Faith." he scoffed.
She smiled. "Why do you think I'm lying?"
He blushed. "No... reason... I just... I don't believe you at all."
She knelt beside him, and took his hand. Radditz could not ignore the contact, and his stomach was beginning to feel strange. She leaned against him, placing one hand on his chest, and the other around his neck, and then she kissed him on the bottom of his lip. He kissed her fully in the mouth, and placed her on his lap, relishing the warmness of her lips... her taste... He felt that he had just received his first kiss somehow....
The next morning, Radditz woke up, holding Faith firmly against him, He couldn’t stop looking at her. This girl... no... this woman... was everything he needed. She gave him comfort, happiness... pleasure... she gave him love. Now everything made sense... you never get tired of seeing the same person everyday... because you're in love.
He was in love... Radditz was in love... with the woman sleeping next to him...
"Hey." she murmured, blinking rapidly. She looked at Radditz, and smiled. He stroked the side of her face, and kissed her on the lips.
"You love me?" he said against her lips.
"Yes."
"I love you too."
They spent many nights after that one. He was... addicted to her. He... loved her so, and he made sure that Faith, and everyone else knew that too. But someone chose to ignore that... When Vegeta finally met her... everything became chaos.
Faith spent less time with him, and they spent more time fighting.
"Why don't you trust me, I love you!"
"I do trust you, it's just... Vegeta... he's not so... just don't talk to him-"
She slapped him.
"I could do whatever I want, and you won't tell me what to do!!" she spat, her eyes loosing its usual gleam. Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months... and they were growing distant from each other. She became harsh, and cold towards him, and he understood why, the night she dumped him.
"I'm sorry Radditz... My heart... belongs to Vegeta."
"End Flashback"
Bulma was teary at the end of his story. Radditz was taken by surprise by her sudden reaction.
"Why are you... crying?"
She gulped down another shot. "It's just that... that is so horrible... you must feel... so sad... I'm sorry!!"
He smiled. "Nah, it's not something... well, I'm over it, but... thanks."
"Do you... still love her."
Radditz was about to answer, but remained in thought.
"I'm... not ready to answer that just yet." he said, moments later.
Bulma served herself another shot, her cheeks glowing a warm pink. "Well... when you're ready... I'm here for you." after she said this, her head collapsed on the table. He grinned, as loud snores emitted from her.
"You are so like her... yet... so unlike her..."
Chi-chi stared across the room, and glanced at Radditz. "I hope you know what you are doing... Radditz..."
