**************************************************************** ************

`Oh god, he couldn't have left, he just couldn't have!' Gohan thought to himself as he sped up, running down the Capsule Corp main hallway all the faster with how many empty rooms he came across. Mirai Trunks was nowhere in sight, and for all he knew he'd left him for the future.

Again.

His heart clenched tightly at the very thought, and he had to force himself to go on and keep looking for him, not wasting any time while he still supposedly had it on self pity and anger. He *would* find him and he *would* show him how much he needed him! He just couldn't let him go again, he couldn't!

Videl was still following him, calling out to him to stop and just listen to what she had to say. But he didn't want to hear it. For all he knew his love was gone because of her. He couldn't stand the very sight of her at this point. `How could she do something like this?! What is her problem?! I don't love her and she knows that!! Why does she still want to stay with me?!?' He thought to himself in both disbelief and annoyance.

They were never happy together. Not ever. Why would she want to be in a loveless marriage with him anyway? They were getting a divorce, she knew about this for over a month and she never cared about it then! So why, when he all of a sudden had a chance to be happy with his *actual* love, did she have to come in and try to ruin it?!

"Gohan, please stop and listen to me!" She cried out as she ran after him, hoping to catch him before he found that future freak and messed things up for her any further. She worked for years on end just to get where she was with him today, and there was no way she was going to throw her life away just because he wasn't happy with it.

The very minute he asked her for a divorce she nearly had a mental break down. The first thing she had in mind was to simply play along and try to act as if nothing was wrong. Become a better wife and mother, then perhaps she could find a way to change his mind about it.

But *no*! Mirai just *had* to come back! Whining and complaining about his own time and the shit hole it was, and in the process try to steal her husband! Where did that bastard get off in doing that to her?!? Who did he think he was?!

Gohan finally Managed to compose himself enough in his panic to realise that Trunks would still have a Ki signature, and that he would most likely be able to sense it.

He stopped dead in his tracks, causing Videl to run right into his back before falling on her rear in her own haste. What the *hell* was he doing!? Was he finally stopping to listen to her? She didn't know if Trunks had left yet, but was seriously hoping that for the sake of her marriage that he did.

"Gohan, please, I'm begging you to listen to me." She pleaded, only having her words fall upon deaf ears as Gohan closed his eyes to try and home in on Trunks' signature.

He had to choke back a sob of pure relief and joy when it came to him. He was still here! He hadn't left yet! Locking in on the feel of his warm and beautiful Ki he could tell that he was in one of the upstairs rooms, but doing what, he didn't know.

Gohan didn't care what he was doing though, as he simply ran as fast as he could without changing into a super saiyan, leaving Videl still on the floor with a confused look on her face.

What the hell just happened? Where did he go? He just...vanished. No. He couldn't of, he didn't know the instant transmission move. He just ran away from her at a faster speed. Her eyes narrowed dangerously at the thought of being ditched. Now she would have to run around this gigantic building trying to find him to stop him! This was going to take forever!

**********************************************************

Running up the stairs as fast as his feet would take him before Videl could catch up and stop him again to do more harm, Gohan came to a stop in front of a guest bedroom that he guessed had been given to Mirai when he finally came to live with the Briefs. Without knocking he quickly opened the door and walked inside, only to have the shock of his life greet him.

Trunks whipped his head at him in shock, not knowing what to make of seeing him there. He was supposed to have left before Gohan could find him and stop him, but he failed that too.

"W-what are you doing here?" He asked, actually relieved that he'd been found out before he could go, even though he knew that he had to leave. He wanted to stay with Gohan so badly, but the fact remained that he was Videl's husband, and if he left her because of him then he would be messing with a time and fate where he wasn't welcome. He'd be changing things, and he had no right to do that *or* to ruin what he and Videl had.

For he knew, they would end up getting back together after all. Somewhere down the road of their lives.

Gohan simply blinked at him, before looking behind him to see the suitcases he was packing on his bed. "Where are you going?" He asked stupidly, knowing that answer to that question but still feeling as if he should just get his Koi to say that to him to his face, rather than letting him leave without a fight or proper goodbye.

Trunks shifted at the question. "I have to go home now." He said simply, before slowly and regretfully turning his back on him to finish what he came to do. He still had his time machine capsule in his pocket, and he was going to use it one more time before destroying it. That would prevent him from ever having the urge to go back to a place where he was not needed, welcome or wanted. He couldn't interfere with what was happening in this world any more than what he'd done the first time he came. It wasn't right.

Gohan narrowed his gaze at Trunks' turned back. He was so pissed off at this point he was practically fuming. "So, you come back into my life, make me think that you just might want to have something with me, then you try to leave?!?" He shouted, practically shaking with the unfairness of it all. "Why would you do that!?!" He demanded hotly.

"Because I'm not supposed to be here!" Trunks shot back, turning to face him. "I wasn't born here! I was never supposed to be here!"

"But you are here!" Gohan shouted back, resisting the urge to stamp his foot childishly. Trunks blinked at the outburst, and when Gohan noticed that he now had his full attention he continued. "You keep on talking about all this stuff about fate, and how you shouldn't interfere with it, but you already have! You're here, and I met you and fell in love with you! There is nothing you can do to change that, it's too late!" He shouted, hoping that if he could get the time traveller to listen to him, then maybe he wouldn't leave again.

"What about your wife." Trunks whispered, sounding a little defeated.

"WHAT ABOUT HER??" He demanded, looking at him as if her were nuts. "I'm leaving her! I told you that already!" He shouted in his frustration. He wasn't intending to sound angered with him, but if he didn't do or say something soon that would stop him from leaving them he would never let himself forget it. He had the chance to stop him this time, and he was going to use it.

Trunks didn't meet his gaze as he spoke. "Isn't she pregnant?" He asked sadly. He grew up in a world were so many families were torn apart because of the androids, and he wasn't about to become a reason why a family separated. He would never be able to forgive himself if he did that. Gohan's daughter was reason enough to not interfere.

Gohan was more than a little taken back with that remark. Pregnant? She couldn't be. He could clearly sense her Ki downstairs and she was definitely *not* pregnant! "No. Why? Did she tell you that? Because she's not! And considering that the last time we even slept in the same bed was over a year ago if she was pregnant then I would have to accuse her of cheating." Gohan said simply, causing Mirai to blink at his statement.

Gohan sighed tiredly before approaching him. "Mirai, you can't leave me again because of *one* conversation that you had with Videl. I love you, not her. Always have and always will. You can't say that just because you're from an alternate time line, means that you and I were never meant to meet. You don't know what fate has in store for us. For all you know, we were meant to be together." He whispered, causing Mirai's eyes to become shiny with unshed tears, as were Gohan's.

"Please Mirai, I'm begging you, don't leave me again." He then took in a shaky breath, his saiyan hearing picking up the sound of many footsteps running up the stairs, so he knew that he had to be quick.

"I-I can't do it again. I can't go all those years without you again. I think I'd go mad if I had to." He said, not having the will to hold back his tears any longer as they simply poured down his face, hotly without his consent. He had to take off his glasses at that point just to prevent them from getting wet.

Just before Mirai could answer him though, the door to his room practically exploded as two women ran in with unhappy looks on their faces.

It was Videl and Gohan's mother, and they didn't look too happy at all. Mirai assumed that Videl must've gotten Chi-Chi to help her find them to stop them. Gohan didn't move, he simply closed his eyes and sighed, knowing that he would have to try to put up with the both of their rants as patiently as possible.

"Gohan, what's all this about you leaving Videl?" Chi-Chi demanded harshly, Videl simply crossed her arms before looking at where Mirai was still standing, her eyes travelling down to the suitcase he was packing as she smirked.

He glared at her for that. This onna had some serious mental issues for wanting to keep the man she supposedly loved so miserable for so long. And what was with his mother? She was supposed to love and care for him, yet she seemed to be supporting Videl! The stupid onna over her own wonderful son! What a strange way of thinking she must have.

"We were planning to divorce over a month ago." Gohan sighed out, rubbing at the bridge between his eyes tiredly. "And I don't know why she cares know, she didn't when I asked her for it." He said.

"B-but why would you leave her?!" The older woman demanded in shock. "You'll be all by yourself if you do! Gohan I don't want to see you alone, couldn't you just try to make it work?" She asked pleadingly.

"No!" Trunks interrupted quickly, causing all the heads in the room to snap at him. Even Gohan, who was looking at him intensely with a mixture of hope and disbelief in his eyes for finally speaking up. He gulped a little now that all eyes were on him, but he wasn't about to turn back now.

Gohan was right. He'd been beating himself up so much lately for simply trying to be happy, but in the process ended up hurting the one he loved. This stupidity had to stop. "He's.... he's leaving her for me." He said simply walking over to where the black haired man still stood, nervously taking his hand into his own while hoping that it wasn't too late for them. If it was, he'd have no one to blame but himself.

Mirai however, felt his heart leap in his chest when Gohan gave him the most grateful smile he'd ever seen, and noticing the look of uncertainty still on his prince's face, gave his hand a reassuring squeeze. And he couldn't help but sigh in relief. After all the pain he'd cause him, and the fact that he nearly left him again over one stupid conversation with Videl, he was still wanted.

Someone up really there loved him.

Chi-Chi's mouth was hanging open at this point. Complete shock running through her system at what she just heard. "What did you just say?" She asked, looking back from Gohan to Trunks in sheer disbelief.

Gohan simply nodded his head before nervously awaiting the tongue lashing he was sure he was going to get. But no matter, as long as Trunks was finally going to stay with him then he had no problem with what his mother said in the least. He was a grown man, and if she couldn't accept them then it was her problem.

He then turned his eyes towards Videl, who just seemed to be fuming in Trunks' general direction. The bitch. She had some serious nerve for trying to do this to him. Scaring his love away when they were on the brink of being together after so long. He couldn't wait until the divorce papers with her went through. Then he could take his little girl and never have to see her ever again.

Chi-Chi sighed. "Will you be happier with him then you will be with her?" She asked tiredly.

Gohan blinked at the question, finding it strange that she asked him that, but nodded his head anyway. "Yes. I will. He said, somewhat stunned. Wasn't his mother against these sort of relationships?

Once again, Chi-Chi sighed. "As long as you'll be happy, and won't be alone, I'll support you." She said calmly, causing Videl to erupt and immediately cut off the wave of happiness that Mirai and Gohan felt at her acceptance.

"What the hell is going on here?!?" She roared out with a stamp of her foot, causing the floor to crack a bit. Mirai winced, knowing what his mother would do to her when she saw the damage to her home. "You're supposed to be on *MY* side!! Not the fags!!" She shouted out in a rage, earning an immediate slap in the face from an enraged Chi-Chi.

Gohan and Mirai's faces instantly dropped at the sight.

"Don't you dare speak about my baby that way!" She screeched. "You were nothing but a complete bother to my family! The only reason why I even put up with you was because you were the only one available!" She shouted, not liking how the younger woman in front of her was acting one bit. And it was true, she never did like Videl. She only wanted her around out of the fear that her son would end up alone. But with Mirai around, she didn't have to worry about that at all. It didn't matter to her that they were both men. Mirai was such a nice young man, and if he could make her oldest son happy for the first time in a long time then the gender issue could go to hell.

Gohan's jaw dropped. He would have *never* pegged her to be the one to stand up and support him one hundred percent on this. He thought that she would explode if he ever told her about his sexuality.

Videl blonked at her in shock, reaching a hand up to cup at the red mark on her face. Had the whole world gone insane when she wasn't looking? How could this happen? Her gaze then turned to her soon-to-be ex-husband and the leach that was latched to his arm, and she narrowed her gaze at them.

"If you leave me, I swear I'll get custody of Pan and you'll *never* see her again!" She spat, earning a horror stricken look from both Gohan and Chi-Chi, while Mirai simply smirked at the threat which he found to be quite petty.

"Go ahead and try it." He said simply. "Because in case you forgot, the Briefs family is three times richer than the Satan family. If you take us to court, I'll see to it that Gohan gets full custody of her, but also that *you'll* never see Pan again!" He threatened with a rise of his voice.

Videls face went through several stages of change at that point. The first was shock, then fear, and finally, blind rage. "You stupid son of a bitch!" She roared before storming out of that room in a huff, having every intention of getting into her car before going home to get drunk. This was by far the worst day of her life.

When she was gone, Gohan whipped his head at Mirai, shock and gratitude shown clearly on his face as he felt himself on the verge of an emotional explosion with what just happened. It all happened so fast that he actually wasn't sure if it really *did* happen!

"K-koi, you're serious about all this?" He asked, trying to keep his voice from shaking in his excitement.

Trunks nodded his head, a content smile on his face as he looked his koi in the eye. "Yes, I am. And I'm sorry that I nearly left again." He said, shame now showing on his flawless features.

"I don't care about that!" Gohan shouted out happily, wrapping his arms around his love. "Just stay with me from now on and you'll make me the happiest man alive!" He cried out before suddenly kissing him deeply.

Mirai was a little thrown off with the unexpected kiss, but soon melted into it and was forced to try and fight off Gohans invading tongue with his own.

It wasn't until Chi-Chi cleared her throat that they remembered she was there, breaking off their kiss to look at her with blushes on both of their embarrassed faces.

She was simply beaming at their little display of affection, but the question that she asked next completely floored them. "So when's the wedding?"
