"Umm......Hello Videl." Trunks said somewhat nervously when he spotted her leaning up against the wall with a smirk. He wasn't too sure how to act around her considering he'd just stolen her husband, and her current facial expression wasn't doing to much to tell him how he should act either.
"Didn't you just drop something?" She asked him in a you're-so-stupid tone of voice.
He blinked before looking down at the mess he'd made and quickly getting down on one knee to clean it up, not noticing the tone of voice she'd used.
When she saw the height difference she had on him, Videl sauntered on up to where he was still kneeling, holding the vodka bottle in her hand like a weapon before stopping in front of him. When he saw her feet he couldn't help but look up at her in confusion. "Um...what is it?" He asked nervously.
She just smiled sweetly at him even though the sight of his very face made her want to smash the bottle she held on his head. `Fucking home-wrecker!' She thought nastily with the smile still plastered on her face.
"So you're from the future, huh?" She asked curiously even though she really couldn't give a shit where he was from.
Trunks picked up the remaining items that were on the floor before standing up and throwing the jars that were broken or food that was ruined in the garbage. "Shouldn't you already know that?" He asked with a raised eyebrow while going over to the cupboard to get out two more glasses for the Cola.
She simply shrugged. "Ya, but it's still interesting to hear about it." Was the only reply that she gave as she opened the bottle to take a quick drink. Then without another word, she placed it on the counter where it was forgotten.
He didn't really like the answer that she gave him, so he tried his best to ignore her and continue what he was doing. What was so great about hearing about all the death and destruction that came from his world? She probably wouldn't care if the story didn't involve a time machine, that's for sure.
Videl didn't like how he was ignoring her, so she decided to get to the point. "Gohan's dead in your time isn't he?" She asked without any hesitation to how heartless she must've sounded.
Mirai immediately stopped what he was doing in complete shock that she could know that, he didn't bother to turn and look at her for fear that she would see the tears building in his eyes while he answered. "Yes." He faintly whispered, his voice full of sorrow. "How did you know that?"
She just smirked evilly at his back. "People talk to me around here y'know." She said smugly. "I know all about you."
He couldn't help the shudder that made it's way up his spine with how evil that last statement sounded. Maybe she knew about him and Gohan already and was trying to make him feel bad for stealing him on her. `If that's what she's doing then she's doing one hell of a good job!' He thought to himself sarcastically. Still, a part of his mind told him that he did deserve whatever horrible thing she had to say. It would only be fair with how he was stealing her husband.
Videl slowly walked up to where he stood, continuing with what she was saying earlier. "You two were lovers, right?" She asked while placing an arm over his shoulder.
Once again, Mirai shuddered. Her words cut at him deeper than what a slash from his own sword would. "No." He whispered. "We were together but he always said that I was too young for that."
Videl's smirk just got wider when she heard her opening. This was her chance! "So let me guess," She started nastily while removing her arm, much to his relief. "Your Gohan gets killed so you come here to try and steal mine, is that it?" She accused while glaring at him.
He snapped his head at her in shock. "No! That's not it at all! I love him!" He shouted almost pleadingly, completely forgetting that this was Gohans wife he was telling this to.
"HA! Ya right you do!" She shouted again sarcastically while pointing her finger at him accusingly. She needed to get him to doubt his love for her husband, and if that didn't work and he insisted that they loved each other then at least she had a good back up plan for it. "The only reason why you're here is because you just can't stand the fact that you let your Gohan die, and when you see someone who looks like him, regardless of the fact that he's *married*, you' try to steal him."
"That's not what I'm doing at all!" Mirai quickly insisted, both shocked and hurt that such a thing had been suggested. He couldn't help the fact that he was shaking at this point when he continued. "I-I've moved on with my life. He-he's dead now and I have to accept that--"
"Oh, don't make me laugh!" She all but sneered at him. "You're so pathetic, do you even know that?!? First your Gohan dies, so come here to try and steal mine! But not only that, when Bulma bites the dust, you come back here to weasel your way into a family that isn't even yours!" She shouted at him heartlessly, making him cringe with every accusation that she sent.
"Why don't you just face it, no one wants you here, you're way too depressing." Videl finished with a casual wave of her hand.
Mirai was still shaking at this point, and he had to use all the willpower in his body to make sure that his tears wouldn't slip down his face. "Th-that's not true. Gohan wants me here." He replied defensively, remembering about how they had finally confessed their love for each other barely an hour ago.
Her face took on a look of pure hatred when he said that, and she had to fight to keep from slapping him with the anger she felt. "Ah yes, that. Well first of all I'd like to thank you for ruining my life!" She screamed at him in a rage.
He looked a little confused through his tears with what she just said so she continued. "All Gohan every did was talk about you! Mirai this and Mirai that! You're actually the reason why he's divorcing me you bastard! We would have been happy together if you'd just stayed where you belonged and left us all alone!"
Mirai gasped in shock when he heard that. There was just no way that it could be possible! Gohan assured him that he was leaving her whether or not he came back! Not because of him! If this was true then it really did mean that he and Gohan weren't meant to be together!
`No. No! It can't be true! It can't be!' He inwardly cried out while his tears just flowed over the rim of his eyes and down his cheeks. He was never meant to be in this time, so if Gohan really was leaving his wife over someone who he was never meant to meet, then he really was just messing with his fate. Gohan was meant to be with Videl and he was fucking around with what should and could never be.
There was still one problem with all of this. If Gohan did love him, then it was too late to prevent any harm because the damage had already been done. "He-he loves me." Miria choked out miserably.
Videl smirked at him, simply loving how easy he was to break. She supposed that in the long run she should thank the androids for doing that for her, but right now she had to finish what she started. "Don't you worry, when I tell him that I'm pregnant he'll have to come back to me to help with the baby. We can fall in love all over again, and you won't be around to mess it up."
Mirai gasped again. She was pregnant!?! She and Gohan were going to have another baby?!? `I-I can't do it! How could I try to separate them when she's pregnant? That child will need both it's parents around and if I stay I'll only get in the way! I shouldn't even be here!' He shouted at himself in disgust. The only thing he felt at this point was the pain. Everything Videl had said was true. This wasn't his home, this wasn't his family and this wasn't his time. He was never supposed to be here and his presence was only disturbing the natural course of things.
"I'll-I'll go." He whispered with a heavy heart before turning around and leaving the kitchen for his room, wiping the tears from his eyes as he went. He'd need to pack up his stuff before he used to Time Machine again. For the last time.
The smirk on Videl's face only got bigger when she watched him leave. Now she would finally have Gohan all to herself. And the idea for another baby did sound intriguing. She would have to actually get pregnant, but maybe it would strengthen their dying marriage.
"Now then, where's Gohan?" She said to herself before heading back to the ballroom to find her husband. Things were going to change around here. Starting with his attitude.

Gohan waited with slight impatience back at his table, tapping his fingers on the wooden surface as he waited for his love to return. He'd been gone for quite some time now and even though they were in a place with people whom they both knew and would never try to harm them, he just couldn't help the bad feeling that found it's way into the pit of his stomach.
A shadow soon passed over him from behind, and he couldn't help the sigh of relief that met his lips as he turned around, happily expecting to see his new mate.
Instead he got the shock of his life when he met angry blue eyes that didn't belong to Mirai. Videl. And she was scowling something fierce as she glared down at him.
He couldn't help but narrow his eyes in return at her before standing up and demanding. "What do you want? And where's Trunks?" He asked, completely forgetting to refer to his future love as Mirai, but Videl knew perfectly well who he was talking about and for the millionth time that day, smirked for a response.
The uneasy feeling in Gohans stomach only intensified when she did that at the mention of the lavender haired prince's name, and he couldn't help but feel a great amount of fear and worry for his love who was nowhere in sight.
"What did you do?" He asked a little shakily, knowing that she must've be the cause of his distress.
She narrowed her eyes at him. "He left and he's never coming back, so you can forget about your little plan to dump me and elope with that home wrecker because it's not going to happen." She all but hissed at him evilly.
Gohan felt like he'd been punched in the stomach when she said that to him, and his face fell in complete shock. "N-no, h-he couldn't have." He said shakily, trying to rid the horrible thought from his already frantic mind. Videl simply nodded her head.
"NO!!!!!!!" He yelled at her, drawing the attention of everyone else in the room towards them, but he didn't care as he pushed passed his *wife* and started to run through Capsule Corps vast hallways, trying to find out where his love had gone.
`Oh God Mirai, please don't tell me that you left me again!' He silently prayed as he ran, desperately searching through every room he came across, but all he found was in them was their dark emptiness.
