Chapter 5
Beast Within
Anita's body felt as if it had reached absolute zero. The abyss raised her in the air and gripped her like the Chains of Sacrifice. She was heaved limply like being swallowed by Death Smoke. Then the abyss grew even colder when she plummeted to the core of the world with the fury of Terror Pit. Soon she felt something light and icy on her body. She was covered with the same little flecks of chilliness.
“Rise, little cherub,” a tranquil voice said.
“Hanusa? Ethel? Aeris?” she asked.
“Rise, great fighter,” a sturdy voice beckoned.
“Dual Fang? Barkwhip? Torcon?” she called out.
“Spread your wings and soar!” the angel sung!
“Show who the alpha of the pack is!” the beast chanted. The chanting was like the beating of the heart and the pulsing of the blood. These words were her heart beating, and her promise she would never infringe. Not even the subzero borderline of death would shatter her very duty as a kaijudo master.
“Rise, awaken, live! Live, live, live!” She shot up from the hands of death to reality.

It felt so real, yet Anita questioned if she really died. She knew now she was awake inside the dreary dungeon. She felt something downy all over her bare flesh. It was black feathers from Kyoshiro's back. Thousands of feathers had fallen onto her. She suddenly realized that he had carried back to the dungeon, and she predicted that he returned to human state and lost all the feathers on his back. By her was a massive pool of blood. She was still bleeding out of her southern end.
“Of all the days,” she quavered. “Tonight's demand shall be the worst.” She tugged at her hair and screeched. “I need more time. Kyoshiro will deem me useless and will murder me! I was not prepared. I need more mana. Just a little more.” She tried to stand up, yet collapsed to her knees, sobbing. Her mind was unsettled, so she could not generate even the smallest essence of mana. “I am going to depart this life!” she wept. Suddenly, she heard a knock on the thick door.

“The master wishes to see you,” slithered an icy voice. She was a still as a sentinel wishing for death. A locked clicked open and a Dark Lord with a long blade, over a dozen of tentacles sprouting from every part of its body, and antlers walked toward her. “Come now.” The voice was calm, yet chilling, and chills raced through Anita's body like vipers. She rose in a puppet-like way, with her green eyes focused on the floor. Vampire Silphy guided her threw rather gently as if she was a fragile item that was need to be delivered. She trudged on through the dark corridors. When she was in front of the heavy iron doors, she mumbled some words, “Today I am at death's door.”
“How so?” Silphy asked. Anita was surprised that the vampire could read lips. “The master has kept you alive so far.” Then the Dark Lord understood when a drop of dark- red blood dripped. Silphy unlocked the doors and she walked into the bedroom. Before they slammed shut Anita heard Silphy murmur, “She would have been a great Dark general.”

Anita was trying to force the words out of her mouth that she could not serve Kyoshiro's sexual purposes. Kokujo threw her on the bed and began to part her legs. He withdrew in disgust, and he picked her up by her hair.
“Like I said, women are the weakest gender! They cannot even serve men when needed. Only thing they are for is to serve men, and to make more of them.” He threw Anita to the floor. “When will this clear up?” he demanded.
“About five days, sir,” she said meekly.
“I will know if you are lying for my vampire shall smell it when it is gone. I shall see you when that day comes.” He walked away furiously to his bath chambers and slammed the doors loudly.

Vampire Silphy knocked on the entrance.
“I take it as you were spared,” the creature said blandly. The monster strutted in and gripped her arm. “Let's go back now.” Anita was back in the cell. She crossed her legs and tried to generate more mana, yet she only managed one little green orb. Then she realized something. She had to use one orb of light mana in order use her fatal combo. Her deck was forty cards and she had twenty light and nature cards. The total mana cost was seventeen, and it was a four-nature card assault. She relaxed her head and meditated quietly. She hoped the darkness civilization did not know the light's greatest secret: All the information from the Light Bringers is stored in a mainframe. If that was erased, corrupted, or destroyed all information and data would be lost. It was hard fighting off the creatures. The Angel Commands use a large amount of energy and they are rarely activated unless it is crucial. The light was very self-sufficient, yet now supplies were running dangerously low. She raked her nails against the ground at the thought of the invading creature that were draining the lights provisions to its very limits. A pale-yellow sphere emerged from the floor below. It was a comforting sight to witness a glimmer of light in the hungry abyss.
“Can anything be pure evil? Can there be no light in the darkness, no yang to the yin? Can that world exist? Can a person be true, unforgiving malevolence? Can that person be Kokujo? Does he have no ability to forgive, to have mercy upon, and to spare an innocent life? Can he be the envoy that is the dark? However, he is still just a human, is he? A human with weakness, pity, and agony?” she contemplated. “Can Kokujo defy the balance of the universe? Is he the essence of hate, can he even feel the warmth of the spark that starts the heat of love and passion, or is he the absolute zero of the soul? What is he?” Her mind was focused of these questions for a number of days. She pondered at the thought of the distortion of the universe. Five days had passed and her blood had run dry, and the vampire sensed this immediately. He rapped his claws on the door.
“Anita, thy time with the master has arrived,” its soft voice hummed. Vampire Silphy was the only inhabitant in the realm that referred her by her name. They walked down the dull hallway. The lord ran its long fingers around the smooth stone of the hallway. Anita's eyes fell to the fingers examining every nook and cranny. “I see you take heed to this withered lord's suffering. Like many of the other inhabitants, I am slowly going blind. There is not much more to see other than death, suffering, and strife. Perhaps it is a blessing to not see this war with my eyes. I have learned too late that immortality is the true hell. Seeking it has destroyed our world. To die is salvation compared to living forever, distorted, disfigured, as a freak of the universe. Even our master has started to deteriorate under the gas from the horrid experiments. His eyesight becomes poor when he is exposed too long, so he ventures outward only to meet opposition from the other civilizations. I have died several times, but I am brought back from purgatory soon after. Being wrenched from the hands of death repeatedly has driven me mad. I long for the eternal slumber. For now, I obey my commitment to creating chimeras and slaughtering the feeble.” When they reached the immense iron doors, the vampire turned on the spot and strolled away once again memorizing the halls and all its minor details. Anita heard a rasping voice like crying from Vampire Silphy, “Kokujo is suffering.” She pushed the creaking doors open to reveal the dim light of the bedchambers were her blood was spilt numerous times.

Kokujo was sitting on his bed, undressed; sipping on a wineglass filled with a red substance which almost looked black. He knew well Anita was there. His eyes looked contemptuously at her with a radiating glare of disdain.
“You want to know what I have here?” his voice was acid and full of ridicule. She nodded meekly, yet was nervous of the answer. “It is Hell wine,” he stated sharply. “It is made from genetically enhanced fruit that only resides in the darkness land, which is designed to ferment faster. This wine in particular can increase blood flow and,” Kyoshiro's tone was nasty, “shatters sexual inhibitions.” He smirked with a depraved cackle. “There are rumors that if no sexual action is taken after drinking the wine, the person becomes so wild they would do anything to satisfy their beastly impulses.” He stood up and finished the wine with a quick swig. He placed the glass on an end table next to his bed. He approached with eagerness drawn upon his thin, lily lips. He clutched her by the rib cage and hoisted her over his shoulder, like baggage. He hauled her to his double bed and sat down with her still over his shoulder. He placed Anita on his lap and caressed her neck yearningly. His hand moved swiftly down her neck and onto her breasts. She could feel his hard desire touching her as he began to sweat that flowed down his solid chest. His fingers danced around her pink nipples, and then Kokujo pinched them harshly. She yelped weakly, and he growled triumphantly. She felt rage boil and burn inside her chest.
“You are the alpha!” Dual Fang's voice shouted in her head.
“Don't let him defile your purity!” Hanusa's song rang and echoed. Kokujo leaned toward her and maliciously bit her nipples to make them bleed. She hissed with ferocity. With a monstrous tone she howled, “Damn you!” She clenched her fist so tightly her own nails pierced her soft hands, and struck Kokujo in the left cheek with such forced his head collided with the floor. His cheek bled, and he wiped it off with a grunt. His legs slid from under her, and he stood up unfazed yet infuriated. His eyes dilated and he approached Anita. She snapped into cold reality to find Kyoshiro reaching toward her. He ensnarled both hands around her neck and slammed her into the mattress.
“You should have stayed still and things may have been easy!” he snapped, gritting his teeth. “No matter what you shall serve me, bruised or not!” He shook her with unrelenting vigor. She reached for his hands to pry herself loose. He purposely let her hands slip between his own then constricted harder to bury her knuckles into her neck. With rasping coughs, she kicked into his unheeding chest, yet she was fading away. He was crushing her knuckles and forcing them to her flesh. She felt lightheaded and fell limp with weakening gasps. He released her abruptly. She curled up into a ball clutching her throat and panting. Hot tears leaked from her eyes. Kokujo pulled her by her wrists and chained her to cuffs dangling vilely on the headboard. She was standing bare, chained, and vulnerable.

“I shall take the last bit of innocence from you,” he sensually spoke with cruel intentions. He stood erect and his fingers sprint across her thighs.
“You don't mean s-sodomy,” she begged.
“Exactly,” he barked and he slammed his arousal into her last trace of purity. It shot pain like being shredded. She shrieked with such piercing that it could be heard through the corridors. Vampire Silphy could hear it.
“Master, why? Why must she suffer anymore? Hasn't she proven her strength?” Red pain leaked from her orifice as he began cruelly pumping into her farther and tearing more of her body. Kokujo slammed her body into the wooden headboard. As he thrust, the headboard thumped into the wall. Something in her mind collapsed from the agony. She turned silent and turned stoic to all pain. She had Kokujo finish his pleasure. Her eyes were bloodshot. Her breaths were slow, but strong. He walked to his bath chambers and returned with a set of jangling keys. He unlocked her shackles that held her upright, but not the ones that held her prisoner. She fell like a doll to her knees.
“I feel pity for you,” Kokujo murmured. Her head turned sharply to him when he spoke. “You can sleep here for tonight.” He slipped under the black covers and patted the area next to him. She was so weak and battered her legs felt like glass. She covered herself under the sheets on the farthest end of the bed. He crawled next to her and wrapped his arm around her hips. “I won't let you escape.” He was fatigued and fell into slumber. Anita, however, was awake with fire in her soul.
“Tomorrow, you shall breathe your last breath!”
