Awakening: Chapter One
The only sound heard in the deserted hallways of the acadamy was the echos of an individual walking at a brisk pace. Heading to the main office, Ryo was glad that he had arrived during the weekend. From the size of the place he was going to need the extra two days just to get accostumed to the layout of the place.
Ryo approached the secretary at the front desk. "Excuse me, who do I see about admittance to the acadamy?"
Smiling, the secretary looked up at the handsome blond haired man standing before her. "You must be Randy." At his nod she continued, "All you have to do is fill out a few forms while I get your schedule and your residence information prepared."
Quickly gathering the papers needed, the seretary gave them to Ryo. "There are the forms you need to sign...." she handed three more pages to him.
"Here is your schedule and some information on each of your classes, along with your residence information and rules. Attached to the last page you will find the key to your room and you'll be sharing a room with Dee Laytner in room 206."
"Thank you." Ryo said politely. Handing her the signed papers, Ryo then turned and headed to the nearest staircase, deciding to find his room before going back outside to get the rest of his stuff.
There was no one in the room when Ryo got there, but he could tell that the place was lived in. There didn't seem to be any order to the place, unless maybe it was organized chaos. Books and magazines were scattered on and around a small table in the sitting area and dishes were placed randomly around the small kitchenet. Making his way to the side door, which he assumed to lead to the bedroom, Ryo cringed. Clothes and some other junk was strewn accross the whole room. Making his way to what looked like the unoccupied bed, Ryo set his bag down. I hope my roommate isn't like this all the time.
After taking a few moments to go get the rest of his stuff, Ryo then went back into the kitchen/sitting room. Well, lets see about making this place more livable.

Opening the door to his room, Dee walked in, dropping his bag quite loudly by the door. Flicking on the lights, he headed to the bedroom only to stop suddenly when he spotted a stranger sound asleep in the second bed in HIS room.
"What the fuck?" Dee said out loud, confused as hell.
Quickly glancing around, Dee noticed that everything was clean, organized. The complete opposite of how he'd left it that morning. Realizing that he was standing in the middle of the room, Dee stomped over to the sleeping figure on the far side of the room
and roughly shook him awake. "Hey, who are you?" Dee asked the groggy stranger.
"What?" Ryo asked, not fully conscious and confused as to why this man woke him up.
"Who are you? What are you doing in my room?" Dee demanded of the stranger.
Suprised, Ryo's eyes widened. "Are you Dee?"
Shock flashed across Dee's face, giving Ryo the chance to remove Dee's hands from his shoulders and sit up.
"Ya I'm Dee Latner. Why do you want to know?" Dee replied a few seconds later, wondering how this man knew his name.
"I'm Randy MacLean. I'm your new roommate." Ryo said matter-of-factly.
An uneasy silence settled over the two as they stared at each other. Ryo shifted uncomfortably under Dee's scrutiny.
"Would you show me around, tomorrow? So I know my way around before I have to go to class?" Ryo asked quickly, not sure of how Dee would respond.
Finally getting over his shock, Dee let his gaze wander over the figure before him, noticing how handsome Ryo actually was. Blond hair framed Ryo's tanned face and his eyes were a deep brown. Then his eyes fell to Ryo's full, enticing lips.
Ryo bit down on his bottom lip in a nervous gesture when Dee continued to stare. Extremly uncofortable with the intensity of Dee's gaze, Ryo broke the silence. "Um, Dee? Will you show me around tomorrow?" Ryo repeated.
Leaning closer to Ryo, Dee eyed Ryo's lips. "Are you sure thats all you want me to show you?" He asked suggestively.
Ryo's breath caught in his throat as Dee closed the distance between them. What? "Yes. I'm sure, that's all." Ryo quickly answered, not exactly sure at what Dee was hinting at. Pushing Dee away, Ryo headed into the other room. "I'm going to make some dinner. Do you want some?"
"Yeah sure, whatever." Dee said. Sitting on one of the cushioned chairs, Dee looked on as Ryo bustled about, preparing their dinner and wondered how he lucked out having such a hot roommate.
***********************
Saturday morning Ryo got up and finished unpacking his stuff, long before Dee even stirred. After preparing eggs and toast, as well as getting a pot of coffee started, Ryo decided to get dressed before Dee woke up. Sighing over Dee's laziness, Ryo tried to get him up by gently shaking his shoulder. "Comon Dee. Get up, now." He said firmly.
"Hmmph...Wha?..." Dee mumbled.
"Breakfast is ready. Do you want some?" Ryo continued, not noticing Dee's lack of response.
Rolling over Dee sat up. "There better be coffee." He grumbled.
"There's a pot started." Ryo went back into the other room, chuckling softly.
Groaning about actually having to get up on a Saturday, Dee got dressed and went to join Ryo. Ryo had set up the eggs and toast on the small table in the sitting area, along with a pot of coffee and two mugs.
"Thank you Randy. You didn't have to do this. You did make us dinner last night." Dee said, feeling slightly bad that Ryo was doing all this work.
Sitting down at the table, Ryo started to dish up the eggs. "I know, but since I was making some for myself, it wasn't any trouble to make a liitle more." He smiled, glad that Dee appreciated his work.
With that they ate in silence. When Dee finished, he got up and grabbed the plates. "I'll clean up," he said.
Ryo smiled in his direction. "Thanks," he replied gratefully.
"Why don't you go get your schedule while I do this and then I'll show you around." Dee offered.
"Ok." Ryo replied. Going back into the bedroom Ryo went to his desk and got his schedule and wallet before heading back into the other room.
It was around 11 o'clock when Dee and Ryo left their room, heading down to the main floor. On their way to the gym, they spotted a person break away from a small group.
"DEE-SEMPAI!!!" the man yelled.
Ryo backed up a bit as the other man jumped onto Dee.
"Ack, JJ get off of me." Dee commanded. Grabbing a hold of JJ's arms, Dee removed them from around his neck. "I thought you weren't comming back until Sunday?"
JJ wrapped an arm though Dee's. "Well I knew you were going to be here all by yourself this weekend so I thought I'd come back early to keep you company."
"JJ, I told you I don't need you to keep me company." Dee sighed. Having said that, Dee turned to Ryo. "Randy, I'd like you to meet JJ. JJ, this is Randy, he's my new roommate"
JJ looked at the tall blond man standing beside Dee and immediately felt jealous. This newcomer got to room with HIS Dee.
Ryo cringed inwardly at the glare JJ sent in his direction when Dee had said that they were roommates. However, he refused to let JJ's attitude faze him. "Hello, it's nice to meet you." Ryo put his hand out in order to shake hands
"Same." JJ clasped his hand firmly around Ryo's.
"Well I hope to see you again," Letting go Ryo turned his attention back to Dee. "So, are we going to go the gym?"
"Ya. See you later JJ." Dee said, glad to get rid of him. Falling into step beside Ryo, Dee left behind a slightly disappointed JJ alone in the hallway.

Continuing on their way to the gym, Dee couldn't help but notice that Ryo seemed to be deep in thought, he was way too quiet. Sure he had only met the guy last night but even then he knew that Ryo wasn't usually so quiet.
Why does JJ hate me? I only just met him, what did I do? I thought that when I got here that things would change, that things would get better....
"Hey Randy? You all right?" Dee's voice snapped Ryo out of his thoughts.
"Huh?. Yeah, I'm fine. Why?" Ryo asked, not wanting to let Dee in on his thoughts.
"Oh nothing, you just seemed to be worried about something." Dee answered, knowing that Ryo wasn't telling him the truth.
Smiling slightly, Ryo shrugged his shoulders. "Not really, just thinking. C'mon lets finish this little tour shall we?"
Sighing, Dee just shook his head. Fine, if Randy didn't want to talk then he wan't going to force him, but he was going to try and find out what it was that was bothering him. "Okay," he replied.
The rest of the day was spent with Dee telling Ryo about the school, the courses, and the teachers, and what to expect when they started on Monday.
