Okay, this is my first time to write a fan fiction. None of the characters belong to me. They are all part of the wonderful book “-FAKE-”. Please Enjoy! And any request I would love to hear! ~Zicue

Part One:
The night was long as Dee waited on Randy, popularly known as Ryo. Lately their passionate nights grew fewer than usual. There wasn't any physical obstacle that interfered. It's just that… Dee felt his Ryo was losing interest. He could read it in his eyes when he gazed at him. Not too long ago, his gaze could capture Ryo. But now they drift apart. Dee couldn't allow that to happen. Not after experiencing so much!

……

The day at the office seemed unbearable. The desks were buried beneath the mountains of paperwork. And the Air-Conditioning system was down and out, which left the summer heat to bake the detectives to nothing more than sweat. Dee rested his head on his desk trying to absorb what was left of its chilled surface. His wandering eyes ran to Ryo. He was leaning back in his chair, shirt unbuttoned and sleeves rolled up. His hair was matted from perspiration. He turned, catching Dee's eyes.
“Dee, you look terrible—”
“No duh, Jackass!” Dee glared at him irritably. His anger had lashed out unexpectedly. He closed his eyes and sighed. It was too late to take back what had been said. “Just leave me alone…” He wasn't sure what Ryo was thinking. His conceited self begged for him, but he couldn't do anything if Ryo didn't come to him.
“Um… are you sick, Dee?” Ryo asked. His soft voice had a tone of worry and curiosity. Dee's head rolled side to side. The heat seemed to have choked him of words. All he could do was dream he was somewhere else with Ryo. That nothing was going wrong.

Dee was quick to get to his apartment. It didn't take him long to strip his work clothes and change. He was relieved to be out of the heat. It was like he had revealed his deprived body to oxygen. And that every cell was yawning. He was drawn to the shower. The feel of the water caressing his muscular body was so soothing. His hand touched the red area on his neck that Ryo had left days before. His heart throbbed. Why did they drift? How could they do to remain together?

……

The TV blared in the tidy apartment. Its unusual loud noise filled the room. The air heavy with tension, Ryo held a beer in his hand as he pouted on the couch. Soaked cheeks were colored slightly red.
“Dee, what's going on between us?” His voice asked the nothingness.

……

“Hey, Bikki, come see.” Carol asked the blonde-haired, black boy. He smirked as he embraced Carol. He gently nipped at her ears and neck.
“What can I do for ya?” he asked with a slight purr. Carol blushed as she kissed his cheek.
“I'm going out of the area for awhile… I heard there's a thieves' convention not too far off. I'm just curious.” Carol said bluntly. Bikki frowned.
“Is that what you wanted to tell me?” Bikki asked, sensing the incompletion of her voice. The emptiness was obvious.
“Nope! Can you baby-sit Ryo and Dee while I'm gone?” She asked. Bikki's laughter was loud and uncontrolled. Easily, Carol joined in at her joke. “You gotta watch them. Turn your back and they're in bed.” Bikki groaned.
“I hate walking in on that scene!”
“You can't stop them. So just grab a camera and enjoy it.” Carol said; her eyes gave off a glazed look. Bikki never understood why girls enjoyed gay men, so he ignored her fantasized look.
“Look, I bet twenty bucks I can prevent them from doing the wild thing.” He looked serious. He may have been a little off `Stop Dee' duty, but he was willing to get strict again… anything to avoid seeing the two nude and cuddling on the couch.
“Show me the green and I'll bet you'll be up ALL night and naming the products in the morning.” Carol seemed awfully confident. Bikki felt questioning about his decision, but he didn't break the bet. He had to prove her wrong. What else were friends for?
“I just wanna see your face when you go broke.” Bikki said with an arrogant smirk. Carol kicked up some dirt and spun on her heel.
“You're the one who'll sulk. Well, Sayo!” Carol's hair whipped with the breeze as she trailed off. Bikki clenched his fist in sake of his pride.
“I'll definitely keep them apart. JUST YOU SEE!!!”

Bikki enjoyed walking through the night. The back alleys always carried mischief around the corner. But tonight was different. He didn't wan to lose to Carol again. He had to be with either Ryo or Dee 24-7.
“Hey, I'm home!” Bikki announced as the door slung open. The house was dark and very quiet. “Ryo, are you home?” A rustling noise came from the back bedroom. Bikki sneaked to the closed door…… He couldn't hear anything. Bikki turned the doorknob slowly, fearing he might see Dee and Ryo having sex. It smoothly opened up to the velvet black room. Bikki could make out Ryo's silhouette in the bed alone. “Hey…”
Ryo didn't answer.
Bikki stared moving in, but tripped over the many empty beers. Bikki cussed at his clumsiness and scurried to his feet. “Yo, Ryo! Wake up! How much didja drink!?!” Bikki jumped on top of Ryo and shook him violently until he opened his eyes.

“Dee?” Ryo asked as he touched Bikki's cheek.
“DAMN! You are drunk! I know I look nothing like that—” Ryo had pulled Bikki down. A warm tongue slipped into Bikki's mouth. Ryo arms embraced Bikki and pulled the two bodies together. Bikki struggled in Ryo's hold. Ryo's lips caressed Bikki's neck and his wandering hands roamed over unexplored areas. “RYO, for the love of God, STOP THIS!!!” Bikki shouted. But the older male continued pressuring Bikki's body. Bikki kneed Ryo's inner thigh and the detective passed out. “I didn't want to resort to violence, but I was being raped!” Bikki muttered. He released a heavy sigh as he lay beside Ryo. “I'm gonna have to protect you… especially when you jump anything with balls.

“Ughh… I feel sick…” Ryo complained as he moped around the kitchen. His hair was still rustled from sleeping. Bikki laughed sarcastically as he picked up some empty cans.
“You moron. If you don't wanna throw it up, don't drink it ALL up!” Ryo fell to his knees and released a mouthful of puke. Bikki cringed at the sight and then grabbed a towel.
“Unnn…”
“Head up!” Bikki ordered. Ryo shook his head. “Obey me, slave!” Bikki said as he grabbed a handful of blonde hair and pulled. Randy whined as Bikki washed his face with the towel. “Now why are you so depressed?” Bikki asked. Ryo looked away…a sign of regret and secrecy.
“Nothing.”
“Whatever, Asshole.” Bikki muttered. Ryo glared.
“Since when do you call me names, Bikki? First moron, then slave, and now asshole! What's your deal?” Ryo asked, anger striking every word. Bikki clenched his teeth and turned his head away. Even though he was 18, he still was treated and acted like a kid. Ryo's anger had vanished quickly as his head remained spinning. His eyes trailed to Bikki's neck where a reddish mark exhibited. “Bikki, are you and Carol having sex?” Ryo asked without thinking.
“WHAT!?!” Bikki asked, his cheeks flaring bright.
“Well, you've got a hickey. I was wondering if she gave it to you.” Ryo replied. Bikki's hand shot to his beck. Ryo was the one who left it during the attack last night. Maybe he was too out of it to remember.
“Yeah… Carol.” Bikki said, lying. Better he not know. A voice in the back of Bikki's head was laughing. Ryo, Oh, how you do not know how much love wants you! Even if it involved a man, love wants you!
Ryo smiled like a child. “Well, I'll be going to work now. I'll be home late. Why don't you go play with Carol?”
“Sorry. No can do. She's out for awhile. Said there was some convention she was interested in. This hickey was a goodbye present.” Bikki said, admiring how he could mix the truths and lies. Ryo seemed surprised.
“Okay… then just stay out of trouble, Bikki.”

Dee groaned as he walked to the 27th precinct. His clothing seemed unusually sluggish. But he didn't try to fix his appearance. Why do that if on the inside everything was turmoil? Why was Ryo slipping away? Was it because their relationship had now formatted over years? Is this like every couple? Did the love disappear after time? Dee growled. He hated the idea with a passion. He was going to get Ryo back and for himself!

They shared an office. Dee never minded after they hooked up. Especially when he was able to jump Ryo when JJ's back was turned. But today the air was thick and again the heat gathered like an oven.
“I'm going to die!!!” Dee complained. Ryo smiled nervously. Maybe things would get better? Maybe it was all in their heads…
“Dee?” Ryo asked without realized he had spoken. Dee's eyebrow rose. He leaned back in his chair and brushed away some sweaty locked from his eyes.
“Yeah?”
“Oh! Um… well… are you busy this afternoon?” Ryo asked quickly. Dee's heart gave a quick jump. “I want to spend it with you! ...are you?” Ryo's voice had gained some confidence. Dee gave a gentle laugh as he stood up. Within a moment he had Ryo in his arms. The two detectives were embracing at the moment's peak of their love. A gentle tear rolled down Ryo's cheek. “Please” a whisper that was only heard by the beating hearts.
“I'd love it, you dolt.” Dee said. He licked the tear from Ryo's cheek. “Just as long as you let me wrestle you in bed.” Both men blushed. Memories of many nights retraced their minds. And the thoughts of all the passionate kisses they shared.
“Then it's a date?”
“I'll see for Bikki's babysitter. JJ should do.” Dee said as he silently laughed. He planned on getting rid of two of the annoyances in one shot. Unfortunately he didn't know of Bikki's determination on winning the bet. His guard would have to be up on a strong foundation.

“Bikki? What are you doing here?” Ryo asked as Dee and he walked up to the young man. Bikki kicked the ground childishly and looked to his feet.
“Yeah, punk, why the HELL are YOU HERE???” Dee asked, his temper growing from the fact that his mortal enemy was present. “GO HOME!!!”
“No, I'm bored! Carol's gone and I want someone to annoy. And I thought you, Dee, were the best choice!” Bikki smirked. He knew Ryo would stick up for him. He always had, except for when Bikki did something illegal.
“GO!!!” Dee shouted as he grabbed Bikki in a headlock. Bikki kicked at Dee's privates but missed. Quickly Ryo began to shyly intervene.
“Um… Dee, he can stay for awhile. It…it's not any harm to the evening.” Ryo's hand stroked Dee's arm. But Dee slapped the hand away. And jealous tears began to stain his eyes.
“Ryo, don't you see he's trying to separate us? And you're allowing him to! It's like you don't even care! I can't believe I ever fell for you, Randy!” Dee shouted. Even Bikki was speechless as Dee ran off. Ryo fell to his knees, his cheeks soaked.
“…Dee!” Bikki listened to Ryo cry for a moment before chasing after Dee, his blonde hair jumping about his eyes. Dee's apartment wasn't too far, so the run only took minutes. Bikki pushed the door open…

Dee laid on the couch. For a strong willed man, his face was burning with angry tears. Bikki slammed the door shut and trampled over to Dee. It took only seconds for the young man to grip Dee by the shirt.
“How could you say such things to Ryo? Don't you know how much he cares for your worthless ass?” Bikki shouted. His emotions were like glass. The transparent anger glowed in his eyes as he pushed Dee down on the couch. “Why the hell did you say all those horrible things?” Bikki asked. Dee growled. He was full of hot air and wanted to vent on Bikki, but he was also ashamed. How could Ryo have ever loved such a pathetic man?
“Bikki, you better stay in your own business!” Dee shouted back.
“Ryo is my business! At least I care for him more than you!” Bikki yelled. Dee punched the delinquent hard. A line of blood trickled from Bikki's mouth. An impressed chuckle came from his throat. The laughter mocked Dee and again the detective beat the kid.
“Ryo's and my relationship is none of your business. Since when did you ever like the fact that he was dating a man? When? All you ever did was try to force us apart!”
“I just don't Ryo to be that way! But I don't want him hurt either! Just learn to thank a joke, Dee!” Bikki looked mad. Dee smirked. He knew what would outrage Bikki.
