CCS, HP and the Philosopher's Stone

 

Cera-chan: (panting slightly after destroying the gigantic mallet of doom by using Sakura's `Erase' card, smiles nervously when Yume-chan came into the room) Ohayou, Yume-chan!

Yume-chan: (looks distracted) Ohayou, Cera-chan. By the way, have you seen my mallet?

Cera-chan: (fidgets slightly) Nope! Never seen it before in my life! Oops!

Yume-chan: (looks at Cera-chan suspiciously) Never mind. Cera-chan, you're writing this chapter.

Cera-chan: (looks horrified) Nani! Demo, I've already written last chapter!

Yume-chan: It's too short.

Cera-chan: Fine! I do it. (grumbled under her breath) I'm going to take over the world after writing.

::Chapter 1::

 

“Psst!”

 

“Psst! Sakura, get up!”

 

Kinomoto Sakura rubbed her eyes. A light brown teddy bear with tiny wings hovered just above her face.

 

“Hey!” it said, “It's 7 p.m.!”

 

“Nani!” Sakura leapt out of bed. She grabbed the stuffed teddy, squeezing the air out of its tummy. “KERO! HOW? It's my turn to cook dinner!”

 

She hurriedly put on her bunny slippers and scrambled for the door, her clumsy footsteps echoing around the whole house. Then she reappeared at her bedroom's door, giving Kero quite a fright.

 

The teddy-bear-with-wings quickly stuffed a half-eaten bag of potato chips under Sakura's pillow, licking his paws when he thought Sakura was not looking.

 

Meanwhile, his master (or in this case mistress) was on her knees, digging at a pile of cards on her desk.

 

“Found it!” she yelled. It was a long pink card, slightly larger than the palm of her hand. She grabbed a pendant, together with its chain, off her neck and chanted:

 

“O Key of the Star,

With powers burning bright.

Reveal the staff,

And shine your light!

I, Sakura, your new mistress commands you,

Release!”

 

The pendant, which had a star at one end, grew longer until it was the size of a cheerleading baton (well, about as long as from fingertip to elbow).

 

She flung the pink card into the air, raised her staff and chanted:

 

“Mirror Card! Reflect another me! Release and dispel, Mirror!”

 

While she was chanting, the card rotated crazily before it hung still, afloat and glowing. Strands of pure magic burst forth from the pink card and formed into a young girl of about 12 years old, with long flowing green hair that was tied into two braids. She had a round mirror in her hands and a beautiful smile on her lips.

 

“Mirror-chan, here!” Sakura cried. The green-haired newcomer faced Sakura, her mirror catching Sakura's image. In the blink of an eye, she morphed into a second Sakura, with the same short auburn hair and large cute emerald eyes.

 

“Okay!” shrieked the real Sakura, “To the kitchen!”

 

The next few minutes were a frenzied preparation of dinner, which happened to be okonomiyaki. The mirror-morphed Sakura was efficient in helping Sakura prepare the ingredients.

 

Kero tried to help too, but he ended up yielding to the temptation of a humongous mango pudding in the refrigerator.

 

“Hayaku! Hayaku!” Sakura mumbled feverishly. Mirror worked silently.

 

Before long -

 

“Tadaima!”

 

Mirror froze.

 

“Daijoubu desu,” said Sakura. “I've already told him about you.”

 

Minutes later, Kinomoto Touya stepped into the kitchen, hair dishevelled, uniform rumpled, looking way too hot. Well, at least to one person.

 

Mirror blushed brightly. She became seemingly even absorbed in her duties.

 

“Kaijuu…” Touya intoned. “What's. Cooking.”

 

Nobody answered.

 

Touya shifted towards a steaming pan full of …

 

“Pancakes?” he sniffed.

 

Sakura threw him the most powerful glare she could manage. But in mid-glare…

 

“Tadaima, Minna-san!”

 

Sakura gulped. She looked at Mirror, whose expression was a perfect reflection of hers. Like a child who had failed his exams caught forging his father's signature.

 

Their father, Kinomoto Fujitaka, strolled into the kitchen, coming face to face with the shocked faces of Touya, Sakura, Sakura, and a floating teddy bear.

 

 

Yume-chan: (clap hands) Another chapter finished!

Cera-chan: (growled at Yume-chan) I still want to take over the world AND Maple Land.

Yume-chan: (holding a gigantic hammer this time, and smiling very sweetly) What did you say?

Cera-chan: (gulp) Nothing. Oh yeah, next chapter is written by Yume-chan. Everyone, please read and review

Yume-chan: (smiles brightly, and bows) Arigatou in advance, Minna-san!

Cera-chan: (preparing to run after speaking) Right. In the meantime… I'll take over Maple Land. (runs away with Yume-chan behind her with a gigantic hammer)

 

Translation:

 

Nani -- what

Okonomiyaki -- Japanese pizza

Hayaku -- Hurry up

Tadaima -- I'm home

Daijoubu desu -- it's alright

Kaijuu -- Monster (it's a nickname given by Sakura's brother to Sakura)

Minna -- everyone

Ohayou -- good morning

Demo -- but

Arigatou -- thanks
