::Chapter 2::

Two descendants of Clow Reed, the most powerful sorcerer of his time, were sitting face to face with each other in a closet, in the basement of the Li Mansion, in Hong Kong, in China, with a lit candle between them.

The boy, a child with messy chestnut-brown hair and serious golden-amber eyes, was glaring at the girl that was sitting in front of him. Whereas the girl, a child with long wavy hair as dark as night and a pair of ebony knowing eyes, was smiling brightly at him.

Do inform me why we're sitting in a closet, no matter how big it is still a closet, with a candle between us, while we discuss my future,” muttered the boy dryly.

The girl laughed softly, the laughter somehow reminded the boy of small tinkling bells.

“Xiao Lang, think about it - nobody would know where we were since I'd already hacked into the security system and disconnected all the CCTV in the mansion for ten minutes. Unless we were to use our magic, then people would not find us. Besides, this information would not fall into the Elders' ears if they do not know,” said the girl happily.

The boy sighed inaudibly, his amber eyes showing weariness of the whole affair. The Elders had not forgiven him for loosing the Clow cards, created by his ancestor Clow Reed, now Sakura cards, to the Japanese girl Kinomoto Sakura. It also did not help his situation at all that they knew about the love that the two of them shared. Thus, the Elders decided to separate the duo as Syaoran's punishment.

The black-headed girl looked at Li Syaoran, future leader of the Li Clan, Elemental Master, Sorcerer, and the boyfriend of the Card Mistress, worriedly. Mentally, she cursed all the Elders to drop suddenly onto the ground and die, plus other types of horrible death.

After all, she had seen her own father being murdered right in front of her eyes by the assassins that the Elders had sent. Fortunately, the assassins had not seen her and her twin brother was still asleep in their shared bedroom. Thus, she was still alive and her twin was still ignorant that the Elders were the murderers. The assassins had not made secret the fact that they were been sent by the Elders when they threatened her mother with the lives of her other four older sisters, her brother, and herself. Therefore, she had made a vow to herself to seek justice when the time was right. Not at that time since she was only three years old. She decided to cause trouble for the Elders from that moment onwards, until the right moment for justice to be served.

Seeing the usually proud and determined Elemental Master so tired, depressed, and helpless made her frustrated. All of a sudden, her face brightened up.

“I remembered something.”

Syaoran looked at her, confused.

Ignoring her twin's confused look, the girl continued, “Remember what I said about the information that concerns your future?”

Upon receiving a nod, she said, “I've just received words from Eriol-sama. He said that he would find a way to get Sakura-chan into Hogwarts too. Daijoubu desu, you'll see her soon.”

“Hontou ni? That's great!” exclaimed Syaoran, his amber eyes conveying his happiness and excitement, although his face was still emotionless.

The girl once again found herself cursing the Elders. After Syaoran returned from Japan, the Elders had forced Syaoran to train every moment of his time. When he was not training, he was forced to sit through lectures of not showing emotions because showing emotions was what weaklings did. Every week though, he was given one day off. Now, even if Syaoran wanted to show emotions, he could not. She hoped that when her brother met the Card Mistress, the barrier that the Elders had forced upon him would be destroyed.

In her anger, she got up and accidentally knocked over the candle. Reflexively, Syaoran got out of the way just in time. The candle landed on a pile of papers instead of him. In a few seconds, the place was on fire since the closet was used to store flammable stuffs like cardboard and papers.

After getting over the shock, both twins started to use their magic at the same time.

Syaoran was quicker, as he pulled out his ofuda and chanted:

Water dragon, come forth!

At about the same time, but slower since her incantation was longer, she chanted:

Spirit Guardian of Snow and Water,
Spirit Guardian of Winter and Ice.
Come to me in these times of trouble,
Come and banish these harmful devices.

Syaoran's Water Dragon splashed water around all the area, while the girl's Spirit Guardian of Water, a transparent woman with long dark blue hair and soft cyan eyes and an ageless face, came out of the girl's body and glided around the room. She wore a pale blue robe that shimmered like ripples of water whenever she moved. Everything the woman touched became wet, and soon, smoke started to appear. After a few more rounds, the smoke disappeared too. After her task was done, she retreated into the girl's body.

Syaoran surveyed the room critically and said nothing. Everything in the closet was ruined. The girl, however, was not giving up that easily.

With a determined look on her face, she started to summon another spirit that was residing in her soul:

Spirit of the Fire Warrior,
Guardian of the Chosen One.
Fulfill what my heart desire,
Come forth! Let my will be done!

From the girl's body came out a transparent energetic male, about sixteen summers, with long flaming red hair and bright crimson eyes, wearing nothing but a pair of dark red pants. The moment he saw the damage, he ran around the room, his body radiating abnormal body heat. Soon, all the wet things dried up. After he had done his task, he winked at the girl and disappeared back into her body.

“Xiao Lang, can you cast a shield spell for me? I'm going to use a repairing spell from Hogwarts,” asked the girl.

Syaoran nodded his head, brought out his sword and a different ofuda, and chanted:

Sources of Light with ancient spin.
Send forth the magic power from within.
Oracles of gold, wind, water, electricity.
Force, know my trouble.
Release the shelter!
Barrier!

The girl could see very clearly the green magic that covered the whole closet. She took out her seven inches wand, the wood is cherry wood and the core is white gold, which she had used for one year.

Pointing the wand at the closet, she concentrated and chanted, “REPARO!

As the girl pour in a lot of her magic in the spell, her magic overrode the magic of the spell, thus, the whole closet was filled with her soft light-blue magic instead of the normal magic of the spell. The girl sighed in relief when she saw the damaged papers and cardboards were repaired.

She kept her wand, opened the door of the closet and was about to head out when Syaoran called her.

“Xiao Min! I've a question to ask you,” stated Syaoran seriously.

The girl, Li Min, turned around and asked, “What is it?”

“Why did you add a sama behind Hiiragizawa's name?” questioned Syaoran curiously.

“Because he always had great plans to annoy the Elders and because he informed me by Owl Post every time you went card catching and card changing,” replied Xiao Min happily, smiling brightly.

Syaoran nodded at her answer, took down the barrier, and followed his sister out of the closet. When Xiao Min opened the basement door, the appearance of her mother, Li Yelan, and the butler of the Li Mansion, Wei, met her.

Raising an elegant black eyebrow, she asked, “What have you two been up to? I sense magic from the basement.”

Smiling innocently at the woman from whom she had inherited her looks from, Xiao Min replied, “Just practicing to make sure that I've not lost my touch, is all, mama. Don't worry about me. Xiao Lang is only watching to make sure I don't try anything dangerous.”

“I see,” stated the elegant lady coolly, her ebony-black eyes telling Xiao Min that she was not fooled by her words, but she would let it go for now.

“Get changed. I see the both of you at dinner,” said Yelan before she left, her night-black hair followed her as she turned around.

Wei smiled at the twins kindly, his grey eyes twinkling slightly behind his glasses, and asked, “Shall we go now, Xiao Lang - sama, Xiao Min - sama?”

The twins nodded their heads and followed Wei out of the basement.
