Inuyasha, Sango, Miroku and Shippou sat around a fire eating what food they got.

"Ouch," Sango said and slapped her cheek.

"Myouga," Inuyasha said.

"Did you find anything out?" Miroku asked.

"Hai, a female's parents died at the hands of that youkai you drove off," Myouga said.

"You were suppose to find information on making me a full fledge youkai!" Inuyasha growled.

"I did, the youkai had stranger powers now, the ability to move trees, plants, winds and earth with his thought and feelings," Myouga said.

"How?" Miroku asked.

"A gem was placed in its forehead and gave him the powers. He fought the girl demo since she was a natural against the gem it would be easier for her to break free than any of us," Myouga said.

"Demo how does this help us kill Naraku?" Shippou asked.

"There are eight of those gems in all. Each controls a different element and are powerful. There are some that anyone can use and there are some that can't be touched by anyone but the naturals," Myouga said.

"The naturals?" Sango asked.

"There are two, supposedly soulmates. Each controls four gems. The female controls earth, ice, fire and light while the male holder controls time, thunder, water and dark," Myouga said.

"Where does the girl fit in all of this?" Inuyasha asked.

"She's the female holder," Myouga said.

"Does she have any of the gems?" Sango asked.

"Hai, she has the earth gem. It's been absorbed into her body and now is a part of her," Myouga said.

"You still haven't told us how this makes me a full youkai," Inuyasha said.

"Once all the gems are collected the male and female absorbs them if they haven't already," Myouga said. "They have a child and the child possesses the crystal. The crystal has the power of the female and male holder."

"What happens to the child?" Inuyasha asked.

"Most holders kill the child to get the crystal. The last holders kept the child alive and left the crystal alone," Myouga said.

"What happened?" Sango asked.

"The crystal had too much energy and turned the child evil. It had to be killed by the girl's parents, Kei and Akai. Funny, the holders parents are always great fighters," Myouga said.

"Where's the girl?" Inuyasha asked.

"What's her name?" Miroku asked.

"Her name is Pai. She lives in Venuis forest," Myouga said.

"A dangerous journey," Miroku said.

"But worthy," Myouga said.

"Why is Venuis forest dangerous?" Sango asked.

"Youkais that are banished or lost from their group usually are there, they're deceitful and strong," Inuyasha said.

"Then why is Pai there?" Shippou asked.

"Her parents moved there to get away from their tribe," Myouga said.

"So, what kind of youkai is she?" Inuyasha asked.

"A full Okami," Myouga said.

"O-o-o-kami?" Shippou stuttered.

"Hai," Myouga said.

"Okami youkais hate kitsunes youkais," Sango said.

"She won't harm you," Myouga said then under his breath he added, "Much."

They packed up and began through Venuis forest.

Meanwhile…

Pai walked into her cave, after burying her parents as an okami should, and pulled out a traveling case she had inherited from her okaasan.

It was made from deerskins by her otousan who gave it to her okaasan as a gift.

She filled it with her healing medicines, food and used another pouch for water.

Pai was about to leave the cave when she heard something calling her softly.

She went to her parents' room and found a map.

She opened it and found nine glowing balls on it.

Under each was a different element name except the one that was moving; it had a different name written under it.

"Dog demon?" she read. She shrugged and looked at the other glowing spots.

She stuffed the map back in her bag and walked out the cave.

The man in the baboon skin stood outside waiting.

"Who are you?" she asked taking a defense stance.

"Naraku," he said.

"What do you want?" she asked.

"To help you," he said.

She narrowed her eyes and vines began towards him but they stopped before they reached him.

"Strong," he said.

She let the vines go back to where they were.

"You know how to use your powers, good. You can bring them back you know," he said.

"How?" Pai asked letting her stance fall.

Naraku smirked and began walking towards her. "Collect the gems and your partner then have a child," he said.

"Of course!" Pai shouted. "The eight gems make the crystal and grant wishes and ultimate power."

"I want only one thing from you," he said.

"What?" Pai asked suspiciously.

"To have you once your parents are alive again," he said.

"Why me?" she asked.

He smirked. She didn't know what happened to the female holder after the child died from removing the crystal or too much energy.

"I have my reasons," Naraku said.

"The glowing dots on my map are where the gems are, ne?" she asked.

"Hai, I'd hurry if I was you," he said.

"Arigato," Pai said and began towards the first place in the map, Kori Kawa.

Naraku smirked as he watched the young okami youkai leave, completely unaware of the perils she would face.
