Pai was conscious and smirking at Inuyasha.

"I saved your life!" he shouted. "The least you could do is give me some." And made another swipe for the bowl of noodles.

Pai smirked and slurped up another noodle.

"How long is she going to torture him? Miroku asked.

"I don't know," Sango said. "Demo these noodles are delicious."

"Arigato," Pai said.

Inuyasha's ears fell flat against his head when he saw the empty bowls that were once filled with delicious noodles.

"You didn't honestly think I would leave you out, ne?" Pai asked handing him a bowl of noodles.

"You had better," he said in-between bites.

"I only feed you because I need you," Pai said and Inuyasha felt a pang against his heart but continued eating.

When he finished she began petting him and he let a growl escape.

She scratched him behind his ears and he let out a small whimper of enjoyment that he hoped no one heard.

Unfortunately, the other two youkais heard it.

Sango opened the map and looked at it.

"Looks like we go to get the fire gem next," she said.

"Where is it?" Pai asked. She stopped scratching Inuyasha's ears and he hurried up a tree. "Weird youkai."

"In Seles," Sango said.

"That's the closest one?" Pai asked.

"Hai," Miroku said looking over Sango's shoulder.

She slapped him and he saw stars. "Is that one moving?" he asked slightly dazed.

"Hai it is!" Sango said.

"We should rest, it could be Naraku," Inuyasha said.

They nodded and began setting up for the night.

Inuyasha stayed up in the tree, Sango used Pai's pouch, Miroku rested on a pile of leaves, Pai sat up at the bottom of a tree and Shippou slept in her arms.

`Why is Inuyasha falling in love with Pai?' Shippou thought as he slept. `I thought he loved Kagome.'

`I can't be falling for that idiot inu,' Pai thought. `He's too arrogant and so full of his self (a picture of him with his ears down looking hurt from earlier flashed in her head.) Koruso that inu!'

Inuyasha on the other hand was dreaming.

*Inuyasha's dream*

"Kagome," Inuyasha said seeing her.

He began towards her walking. She stood in her school uniform smiling at him.

Then Hoshi showed up next to her with a ring.

"Kagome," he said.

Inuyasha stood on her left and Hoshi on her right.

"Hoshi," Kagome said. "I love you."

She reached into Inuyasha's chest and pulled out his heart.

She glared at it then began to squeeze it, Inuyasha screamed in pain as she did and she smirked evilly.

Kikyo appeared next to her and they both laughed at him as he laid on the ground helpless.

"Get it through your head," they both said in unison. "I hate you!"

He fell backwards into a black hole when someone grabbed his hand.

He looked up but couldn't see the people because of the sun behind them. As his eyes adjust to the light their features started to become clearer.

"INUYASHA!" broke through his dreams.

*End of his dream*

He opened his eyes and grabbed the little kitsune right by his ear and preceded in bopping the Shittama out the poor thing.

"Yamette!" Pai shouted jumping up on the branch.

Inuyasha stopped bopping Shippou on the head and let him fall to the ground. "Why should I?" he asked challenging her.

"Because," she said.

"Because what?" he asked angrily.

She drew a deep breath. "BECAUSE I SAID SO!" she yelled in his doggy ears.

Poor Inuyasha fell from the tree landing with a thud on the ground. He shook his head trying to get the little yelling Pai's away from his head.

Pai jumped down and looked at the map again. "Ok, so we go to Seles demo the gem is still moving," she said.

"We might not be able to compete with the fire gem with only the ice and earth gems," Myouga said.

"Why?" Pai asked.

"The fire gem is powerful," Myouga said. "It might be wise to go to get the water gem first."

"We should," Pai said.

"Scared?" Inuyasha asked he had recovered from her yell.

"Iie!" she shouted and he held down his ears. "Let's go!"

Sango shook her head; they were competing against each other.

`Well, at least it explains that smirk she did before she passed out,' Sango thought as she walked up to Pai.

"Inuyasha," Shippou said as they began towards Seles.

"What?" Inuyasha asked annoyed. Pai had gotten the last word and called him a `Koruso Inu sissy cat.'

No one ever called him a cat and got away with it.

"Do you like Pai?" he asked.

`Of course I do, are you really that dense?' he thought. "Are you that dense?" he asked.

Before he the kitsune could answer, Inuyasha put a claw on Shippou's mouth freezing it shut. He smirked as the little kitsune hurried to Pai. He waited to hear her say his name.

"Inuyasha!" she shouted.

`Yes my tenshi,' he thought but didn't say. "What?" he asked annoyed.

"Stop freezing Shippou mouth!" Pai shouted.

He did seem to do that a lot now. `Yes my sweet,' he thought. "I do what I feel like," he said.

He heard Pai sigh in defeat and smirked.
