MAGIC KNIGHTS’ ADVENTURE IN THREE KINGDOMS
Crossover between : Magic Knight Rayearth-Dynasty Warriors NJB : Here we go again, in chapter 3… Chapter 3 : First Burn As Hikaru walked along with Sun Ce, fighting soldiers along the way, she came to realize that Sun Ce’s words were true… If she’s to survive, she needs to kill, contrary of her philosophy. ‘I don’t like this. But looks like I will have to get my hands dirty if I am to survive…’ After slashing some soldiers, she became a bit open on her back, and a soldier used this chance to sneak behind her and tried to slash her, only to be back attacked by Sun Ce’s tonfas. “Whoa, better be careful ! A lot of soldiers here likes to attack from behind, you know !” Sun Ce warned Hikaru, and she nodded, “… Okay !” Afterwards, they continued their advance, until they came in front of a silent general in black outfit… wielding a katana. Now that surprised Hikaru. “Uh… Sun Ce ?” Hikaru asked Sun Ce, in which he replied, “Yeah ? What’s up ?” “… This is China, right ?” “Well, duh ! Of course this is China !” “Then why is that guy wielding a… katana ?” Hikaru asked, and Sun Ce got a bit confused, “Ka…tana ? I thought that was just some eastern sword.” “It’s actually called katana… from Japan.” Hikaru said, and it confused Sun Ce more, “Japan ? What…” “It’s the land where I was born…” Hikaru continued, “And yes, this ‘katana’ originated from there…” “So… you’re a girl from another land, huh.” Sun Ce commented, and Hikaru asked again, “Is something wrong about it ?” “Nothing, really !” he answered and Hikaru asked another, “Then… who is that guy and why is he wielding a katana ?” “Him ? That’s my general, Zhou Tai.” Sun Ce answered, “He’s a former pirate. So, probably he got his katana or whatever on his journeys in the sea before he joined me. Not that it matters though. If he’s my general, he’s also my buddy, and we’ll fight together !” Hikaru was silent. She noticed that Sun Ce had a very strong bond with his officers… very similar bond with her and her friends, Umi and Fuu. Just then, a messenger came to Sun Ce and knelt down. “My Lord ! Terrible news !” He started, “Lord Sun Quan was lured to Niu Zhu fortress and trapped in an ambush !” “What !? Quan !?” Sun Ce gritted his teeth and clenched his fist. His little brother was in danger. But, he knew that Sun Quan was quite inexperienced in battle, so he decided to let it go for now. He then said, “Damn. If we don’t act fast… Quan will be killed !” “I’ll go to his aid !” suddenly Zhou Tai, who was silent for the whole time while slashing some soldiers, declared his intention, and he ran off to the direction of Niu Zhu fortress, to the east. “Who is this ‘Quan’ ?” Hikaru asked, noticing Sun Ce’s ‘friendly’ way to call him. Sun Ce answered, “Huh ? Oh, you mean my little brother ? He’s Sun Quan. I also got a little sister named Sun Shang Xiang.” “My old man Sun Jian died quite awhile ago, so it’s now up to me to protect them.” Sun Ce said as they walked together, defeating soldiers as they come, “Even if my father is alive, I’m also his eldest son. I have a responsibility to protect them and show them a good example in life.” Hikaru was once again quite impressed and felt quite familiar on Sun Ce. In her family, she was the youngest, and her elder brothers loved her very much. Just then, Sun Ce asked her instead, “How about you ? What of your family ?” “Me ?” Hikaru replied, “Well, I’m the youngest in my family. I got three elder brothers, and my parents are still alive… I guess that’s all I can tell.” ‘He’s gonna get confused if I mention about Kendo. So I think I better shut up.’ Hikaru thought as she began to compare her family with Sun Ce’s. Of course, she felt a little bad, stating the truth about her family, which was a happy one, whereas, Sun Ce’s family wasn’t exactly the happiest family ever. Instead, it carried out a heavy legacy. “Hm… Youngest of the team and based on your battle capabilities, you are quite a tomboy.” Sun Ce commented, “Hey, you’re really like a splitting image of Shang Xiang, you know !” “Huh ? Your little sister ?” Hikaru asked again, but suddenly, she was filled with excitement, “Can I meet her ??” “Sure ! After we win this battle, of course !” Sun Ce answered happily, “Don’t worry. It’ll be soon… because we’re right in front of their main camp !” Sun Ce and Hikaru charged to the main camp, and fought many soldiers guarding the main camp. “This is kinda endless, don’t you think ?” Hikaru asked, as Sun Ce growled and said, “This sucks ! We need to make a dent !” Just then, a soldier was slashed from behind, and a figure appeared… Zhou Yu. “Sun Ce, leave this area to me ! Strike their commander !” he suggested, and Sun Ce nodded. “All right ! I’m off !” he said and he left off. “I’m going too !” Hikaru volunteered, but Sun Ce stopped her and said, “Not now, Hikaru. Maybe you better help out Zhou Yu. Now he’s the guy who needs help !” “… Okay.” Hikaru nodded and returned to Zhou Yu, and fought alongside him. Meanwhile Sun Ce charged forward, and he saw a mighty looking general with red armor and wielding huge twin rods, and judging from his looks, he seemed to be the commander of the Allied Forces. “Hey. You look strong, Mister Commander.” Sun Ce commented and challenged him, “Wanna duel ?” “So… you’re the Little Conqueror, Sun Ce.” The man said as he raised his twin rods and prepared his rods in battle stance, “Very well. I, Taishi Ci, shall accept your challenge !” Sun Ce then clashed into a fierce battle with Taishi Ci. It was a very fierce battle and nobody gained the higher ground. At one time, Taishi Ci dodged Sun Ce’s strike and thrusted him with his twin rods, knocking him behind, but Sun Ce bounced off from a tower and spun his body along with his tonfas and struck Taishi Ci. Eventually, they end up in a weapon clash. “You’re strong, and quite honorable, I must say !” Sun Ce commented again, “What do you say if you join me ? Together, we can build a new world !” “Your offer is interesting.” Taishi Ci replied, “But, my answer will have to wait until our battle is decided !” And then, both battled it out once more. Meanwhile, Hikaru and Zhou Yu swoop off more groups of soldiers and eventually they reached an area where they can see Sun Ce dueling Taishi Ci. However, when they looked behind, more troops charged to them. Zhou Yu felt like very drained, and he said, helding his chest, “I don’t think I can fight them with my blade now. This is a time where a quick strategy is needed…” Hikaru then saw two towers nearby. Should one of them fall, they will block the way of the soldiers. But to make one of them fall would require a powerful force. ‘… Wait… that Zuo Ci said he granted back my magic. Maybe I’ll have to test it out now.’ “Leave this to me, Zhou Yu.” Hikaru said sternly as she moved forward. With her hand in front, suddenly she gathered flames around her hand, which shocked Zhou Yu, “What… what was that !?” ‘Even if she has a Fire Orb, she wouldn’t be able to do such thing ! What kind of creature is she !?’ “FLAME ARROW !!!” Hikaru yelled and casted a spell that launched multiple long bolts of fire, and she aimed for one of the tower. The tower began to collapse and fell right on the way of the soldiers. However, out of her predictions, some of the soldiers were trampled with the fall of the tower, and some was burned to death. “… That was… powerful indeed. And you do implement some strategies. Very wonderful… Hikaru ?” Zhou Yu commented, but he stopped when he saw Hikaru standing silent and tears were falling from her eyes. She didn’t use her magic for long, and now she was unleashing more powers than needed, and as the result… she killed a lot. Her intentions were just to block the way of the reinforcements and make them retreat, but she ended up killing some in a gruesome burning death. “No…” Hikaru said lowly, but Zhou Yu tapped her shoulder, “We might’ve been killed if you didn’t do it… You just saved us.” “But…” Hikaru tried to protest, but Zhou Yu shook her head, “If we die here, Sun Ce might also die. And if he dies, what would happen to his family legacy ? And who would rule the land if there’s nobody as fitting as him ? The land will plunge itself into further chaos and more people will suffer !” Hikaru then remembered Sun Ce’s words. She then came upon a determination… ‘If it means to put an end to the chaos, maybe that could be my reason to continue fighting ! But… I still have to look for this ‘guy who tried to mess with history’ that Zuo Ci told me.’ Just then, from the other sides, Sun Ce’s troops, led by Sun Quan, Zhou Tai, Ling Cao and Ling Tong arrived. “Brother ! The other regions have surrendered !” Sun Quan exclaimed, interrupting Sun Ce’s battle with Taishi Ci. “Eh !? Well, that’s good news !” Sun Ce said. And soon, Taishi Ci began to get weary, and Sun Ce used the chance to knock his twin rods to the ground. Taishi Ci sighed and said, “So I guess this is the promised end for the Allied Forces…” “So, you wanna join me ?” Sun Ce said, offering his hand for a handshake. Taishi Ci got up and said, “You showed a great valor, Lord Sun Ce. From this day forward, I, Taishi Ci, shall fight under your banner !” With that, Taishi Ci returned the handshake offer kindly and both shook their hands. Shortly after, Zhou Yu came to the scene with Hikaru. “Well, congratulations, Sun Ce ! We just won !” Zhou Yu said as he nodded his hand. Hikaru ran to Sun Ce and suddenly hugged him happily and said, “We did it, Ce ! We did it !” Sun Ce laughed and said, “Yeah ! We just won ! But this is just the first step for our goal to unify the land !” “More battles will surely await us in the future…” Sun Ce said as Hikaru let go of her hug. “But, for our victory today… This looks like a time for a fun VICTORY CELEBRATION !!!” “YEAH !!!” Sun Ce’s army shouted in unison and agreement. As their army began to rearrange the place and constructed their territory into their kingdom and prepared for the party, Hikaru watched and thought, ‘So… It looks like I’ll be joining this kingdom for awhile. I hope everything just turn out all right, and I hope Umi-chan and Fuu-chan are safe…’ “Hey, Hikaru ! There you are !” Sun Ce suddenly came behind her and said, “The party is about to begin ! You wouldn’t want to miss all the fun, would ya ?” “All right ! I’m coming !” Hikaru said happily and they walked together to join the victory celebration. But, all of the Wu soldiers, including Hikaru herself, realized that this happiness will be just for momentary.
