Symphony of Destruction: part 18
cue fourth doctor episode opening credits
he started crawling to a pillar just as Mikhail landed in the room "joshua, all this can end, just give up and join with me. if i can't get through to you, maybe if i grabbed your fiancees, maybe you might change your mind" josh's eyes flared open and he got up. he punched her square in the face, sending her flying into the throne room wall and yelled "NEVER!!!" before he collapsed onto the floor....
josh was half concious as he felt Mikhail pick him up by his shirt and lift him up to stare her in the face. before he could react, Mikhail kissed him. as she did, he could feel some kind of energy enter his body. his eyelids grew heavy, his flailing arms felt weak and heavy, so they fell to his sides. he closed his eyes and waited for the sweet release of death, but oddly, found peace. in the darkness, a light shone, calling out to him. he removed his hand from his face and saw Mikhail approach him, she was naked, so he looked down to see that he was naked as well. he stood and said "Mikhail, what's going on here, why are we naked?" she came close to him and said "joshua, my dearest joshua, we are complete now, you now have that piece that you say you have missed for a long time now. the physical me is now transferring all her power into a forgiveness for all of your sins, your transgressions. i also know what you did for keiichi, and i think that was a noble thing you did for him. now when you wake up, you must leave hell and go back to the temple, where you will regenerate. when you have finished regenerating, i will seal your powers away until the time comes when you'll have to use them again" she came right up close to him, letting her big and bouncing breasts rub against his chest. she spoke softly into his ear "josh, no matter what, i will forgive you and care for you, just call on me when you need me" before she kissed him full on the lips, as a bright light surrounded the two.
he awoke with a gasp and sat up, looing around the room and saw Mikhail's physical body, so he picked her up and started carrying he down the steps of the temple and eventually through the portal and out into the den of the temple, before he collapsed onto the floor. Peorth and Urd ran into the room, only to find josh lying on the floor and Mikhail's corpse lying on the table. Urd went over to him and tried to get to him, but a barrier appeared, blocking her from trying. they heard a noise and saw Mikhail's corpse stand up and turn into a pure energy soul. it swung it's legs over the table, slid off and walked over to josh, before it laid down ontop of him, mixing with him as it dissapeared, leaving a young man laying there instead. he looked like a shorn version of Christian Bale when he played Quinn in the movie "Reign Of Fire". after a minute, he opened his eyes slowly to see Urd and Peorth standing above him. "hey guys, guess i did make it back, damn" he said, grinning. they looked at him for a second before they both embraced him "hey, easy. ow, i'm still sore" they let go and he sat up and rested against a couch. it was then that a mirror in the den started shaking, before it lit up, the three turned to see a woman emerge from it.
both peorth and urd gasped as they realised who it was, but josh just smiled and said "he's up in his room. be careful, Belldandy" she nodded and walked softly to his room. the two goddesses turned to josh and asked "how'd you do that, she was dead" josh just smiled and said "all i did was put her in a cocoon, that in turn brought her back to life and if i might say so myself, a lot more beautiful then she was before. oh also, have earths forces returned from omahsen yet?" peorth nodded and said "yes, and Hild has gone back to being the queen of niflheim, so she called the demon attack off" josh smiled and said "good to know" he stood up and breathed in heavily, before he turned and walked up to keiichi's room, followed by peorth and urd. he approached the door and opened it, to reveal that belldandy and keiichi were kissing passionately. they broke it off and keiichi turned to josh to say "mate, i'm so sorry for what i said a couple of days ago, forgive me" as he put his hand out. josh took it and shook his hand as keiichi added "thank you man, you did more for us than anyone, thank you" josh smiled and said "you're welcome, just don't forget about your kid" keiichi nodded and went back to kissing belldandy as josh turned to the other two and said "guys, we might want to leave these two lovebirds alone" he led them out of the room and closed it, puting a locking spell on it behind him. he put his arms around them and led them back out to the kitchen, where he made another sandwich before he led them from there, to his room. not one person got any sleep that night, for they were too busy having lots of sex.
the next morning, josh woke up and noticed that he had his arms around the two goddesses, who were sleeping soundly, so he gently pried them off his arms and climbed out of the bed and put his pants and shirt back on. he opened the door slowly and closed it, before he walked down the hallway and into the bathroom. after he was done, he walked into the den and laid back on it, putting his arms behind his head as he looked up at the ceiling "josh" he turned to see Mikhail, she was sitting on one of the seats "mikhail, long time no see" she smiled and said "indeed joshua" right then, belldandy came into the den and saw mikhail, then the newly regenerated josh and asked "so you're the new version of joshua, right? what is mikhail doing here?" josh nodded and said "belldandy, mikhail is a part of me. simplest explanation would be that i was half of myself before and Mikhail is the part that i was missing since, well, ever. she joined with me in mind, spirit and body, completing me, making me whole, now i feel happy, even happier than ever" mikhail turned to belldandy and said "he is right. when i was created, i never knew the purpose of my existence, that is until i felt his pain that he felt every day of his life. i knew then my purpose, i had to meet him and join with him" she let loose a sigh and said "that's where i planned all that transpired, except when Hild did what she did to joshua, it worked into my plans but i didn't count on her doing what she did. everything else worked into getting him to meet me. we fought for a while, then we melded into one body. after that, he carried my proper corporeal body back to the temple and collapsed onto the floor. when he did, my body awoke, went over to him and converted into energy as it laid down in him. it in effect helped him to regenerate. if it didn't happen, he would've died" belldandy nodded and said "oh, alright. so you saved him basically?" mikhail nodded and said "yes, because i love him and i didn't want him to have this weight on his shoulders that he has had to bear for most of his life" belldandy sat down and said "well, it's good to know that you two are safe and everything's back to the way it should be" they both nodded and said as one "thank you" before he stood up and walked to the door and sat out on the front lawn as a cup of tea materialized in his hand.
belldandy sat down next to him and said "joshua, i want to thank you for what you did for me, for what you did when i died, how you put me into that cocoon and brought me back to life" she kissed him on the cheek and said "thank you" he took a sip of his tea and looked out onto the city as the sun began to rise over the city before he asked "do you think it will ever go back to the way things were?" belldandy looked out to the city as well and said "no-one knows the future, so there is a chance that it could be" he took another sip and said "that's good to know. a chance is better than nothing" Mikhail sat down with them and sat cross-legged, holding a warm cup of tea. she blew on it and said "agreed. joshua is right, a chance is better than nothing happening at all" the group just sat there on the lawn, taking in the sunrise.
