Christmas on Monster Island

Darien: There will be some references to DJ's stories, ones he created long ago and put up at Fanfiction.net. Sadly, they are lost for now. So, if you want to understand some of what goes on, please go to the other site and find out.

Chapter 4

Monster Island was bustling with activity, both above and underground. On the surface, DJ had used his powers to make the island into a massive winter wonderland! Fresh powdered snow covered the entire mega-continent, and it seemed it was to last for a long while.

The flora and fauna were decked out in holiday cheer. Lights and ornaments were decorated on every tree and shrub; even the tropical plants were decked out in bowels of holly! The water was also frozen perfectly, excellent for ice-skating. The mountains, ones that seemed to be more massive then Mt. Everest, were set up to be either ski slopes, bobsledding, or snow surfing.

Below, in the Underground Mansion, the hosts were busy preparing for the arrival of many guests. The ones brought earlier were still asleep; most relishing a warmth that they thought was long gone. While they slept, DJ and his friends were busy with the decorations.

Godzilla, shrunk down to 7 ft., had hauled in an enormous traditional-looking Christmas tree (a real one, not artificial), one that stretched up to the ceiling! That was quite a feat, considering that the ceiling was about 155 ft. above ground. DJ and Darien set up multi-colored lights on it, but left it empty.

"I want the guests to decorate it with whatever they want.", the young hero told his friends. However, he did decorate it with ornaments from his own world. He hung pictures of himself and his family, pictures taken long ago when they were just four or five years old. Very old toy ornaments from the past (nutcrackers, bears on wheels, toy trains, etc.) were also hung on the tree.

"I'll give you this, DJ. You are one sentimental kid.", Darien said with a grin as he put up his own decorations. They were all on the bottom of the tree, the middle and top set aside for the rest of the guests to decorate.

The Ultra Warrior grinned right back and replied, "Yep, and proud of it!".

After he and his friends finished their work on the tree, Pamela and Harley went to the kitchen to prepare a big feast! Some of the Pokemon that were skilled in cooking went to assist them. Darien left to do some construction on some of the areas to the mansion, like the Game Room and Movie Theater areas.

DJ went to the bathrooms to clean up. He showered, got dressed, and went to the Portal Room. It was about time he greet and retrieve the ones that responded to his letters. He smiled, knowing it was going to be one heck of a week!

~Back in the real world~

The firsts of DJ's guests to be prepared with Jacquelyn, her family and friends waiting outside on her lawn. After some much convincing and also pleading, they all decided to go in on her little joke. So, there they were; packed up and ready to go.

"Are you sure this DJ person is coming?", her mother asked.

Suddenly, a blue-white vortex appeared before them! The entire company, minus Jacquelyn, screamed in horror and fright. They dropped their bags/suitcases, and their bodies, to the ground. A few minutes later, they heard a voice that inquired playfully, "I see my first impression was pretty good, don't you think so?".

One by one, the group opened their eyes and saw an 11 year-old boy standing beside Jacquelyn. He had messy black hair, brown-black eyes, dark tan skin, wearing a Godzilla (American version) t-shirt, black jean shorts, and brown shoes.

"Hi, my name is DJ Rodriguez. I'll be your host for the Christmas party on my island.", he said to them, grinning like an idiot.

Jacquelyn helped her family up, while the rest picked themselves up. The young lady looked at DJ, smirked, and asked, "Is Yami and the gang going to be there too?".

DJ smirked right back and answered, "Oh yeah. Him, and many more are going to be there! Now, get your stuff and follow me!".

He turned and jumped into the vortex, which was still open. Jacquelyn just laughed and followed him, diving in like one that dived in a pool.

With great reluctance, her family and friends stepped into the vortex. When the last one stepped in, the vortex closed fast. No one in the neighborhood saw it, and those that did… vowed to not to drink liquor ever again.

~In various parts of the world~

DJ had gone over and personally retrieved his friends that answer his letters, bringing their families and friends along for the intense ride. Most lost their lunches, not accustomed to traveling by portal. In less then an hour, DJ had retrieved his last guest, Shane.

"So, everyone ready to finally go to my home?", he asked while grinning. Some cheered, while the rest just moaned and groaned. They were still dizzy from the portal experience.

The boy just laughed and stated, "Alrighty, then! Here we go!!". He opened the portal to his world, and jumped in. His friends followed, the others just lagging behind.

~Back on Monster Island~

Darien was busy welcoming the guests that were coming through the Portal Room. Millions of characters were coming in fast, and the mansion was just filling up big time! Heck, even the villains were coming in! DJ invited them, on the grounds that they be good. Of course, who would want to disobey DJ?

He had just finished greeting Kiyone Masaki and her daughter Stephanie, when Saria and her daughter Medalia came through.

"Ah, welcome you two! Glad to see you could make it.", he told both of them warmly.

The widow of Link of Hyrule smiled right back and thanked him for the welcome. After they left to go mingle with the other guests, Ash and company entered with little grace. The Pokemon trainer just fell flat on his face, while his friends landed just right. Pikachu just shook his head, while standing on Ash's head.

"You alright?", Darien chuckled as he helped Ash up. Ash said he was fine, then ran off to find the food. His friends just sighed in mild amusement, then left to join the guests.

Then, Yugi and his friends arrived! The first to emerge was Yugi, accompanied by his friends and grandfather. His mother was also with him, very much pleased to be invited as well.

"Welcome, everyone! I see that there have been quite a few changes.", Darien stated, as he eyed the engagement bands on Yugi and Téa's fingers.

"Yep! Now, where is the party being held at?", Yugi asked politely.

Darien told them to follow the group, which was being led by Mothra and Rodan. They would take everyone to the main room, which was about twenty stories up where they were.

Yugi thanked him, and followed the group that was just leaving the place. Darien smiled, shaking his head in amusement. Suddenly, the Portal Room became more active then usual. That could only mean one thing… DJ was home.

DJ was the first to step through, followed by Lady D and the rest. Their folks… well, they made a very unimpressive landing on the cold metal floor. The instant they arrived, the muses for the guests materialized right in front of their eyes.

"Hey, Lady D! Good to be back in the flesh again!", Laura stated as she stretched her arms.

Shane reverted to his wolf-demon self, very much pleased to feel the demon rush again. As their powers and abilities returned full force, DJ started to explain to the confused-stricken adults and friends on what was going on.

"So, Darien. Can you lead us to the party?", Erika asked politely. The teenager smiled, transformed into Tuxedo Mask, and wrapped his cape around them. They were all teleported to the main foyer. DJ finished his explanation to the group of adults, then escorted them to the main room.

~Main Foyer/Room~

When the group arrived, they saw a sight they thought they would never see again. The characters from various anime/cartoon/movies/video games/manga/novels/comic books were all in one place yet again! They were busy either talking to one another, or eating out on the long buffet line.

Even DJ's earlier guests (the homeless, abandoned, etc.) were also up and about, seeing that they were either in heaven, or in a crazy dream. DJ, or rather a copy of him, explained the situation to them earlier on. The group was eternally grateful towards the young boy, now able to fully enjoy being blessed on Christmas.

The real DJ appeared beside them and asked, "So, you miss this?".

A reply of "YES!!", gave him his answer. He grinned, then leaped high into the air! He soared above the guests, who all stopped to see the young boy. He landed in front of the Christmas tree, grinned and shouted out, "Who wants to help me decorate the rest of the tree here?".

The answer was a resounding stampede, nearly everyone rushing to fill the tree up with their own unique decorations. DJ laughed and shouted, "This is going to be one heck of a party!!".

(Author's Notes: So, it has begun. Expect updates everyday, because this is going to be tight!
